Amazing church, staff makes you feel welcomed and they treat you like family. The pastor shares Gods word excellent he keeps you engaged and doesnt sugar coat the Bible he sticks to the Lords word whether you like it or not but its Gods word and it is what it is. Its a church I would say come and check it out and you will feel this is your new home church.

First and foremost Pastor Ed is great at breaking down the parables of the bible and worship music is always great! Friendly atmosphere and they always make you feel welcomed. I strongly recommend this house of the Lord if youre looking for a non-denominational church.

Today was a powerful message. I love the cold to be at the church of Philadelphia. The worship was beautiful, the time honoring the heroes of 9/11 and first responders Was incredible🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🙏You can feel the presence of God strongly in the church, there’s a kindness and sweetness and the people when they just love Jesus. Pastor Ed talks it straight as if you were sitting in a restaurant or coffee table across from him. I Honor and appreciate a man that speaks the word of truth and loves in mercy! If you are looking for a solid word, many scriptures, authentic and genuine/transparent relationships. It’s real! Not just religion it’s a relationship with Jesus that’s Taught and Caught! Like James his faith without works is dead! It’s nice to see a people actually doing the work instead of just talking about it being Jesus hands and feet. Not just saying I’ll bless you brother will pray for you sister, but actually showing the love of Christ through community service and being a servant all!!!

Awesome Word Today! Church of Philadelphia, Brotherly LOVE! The Spirit of God is sweet, genuine and authentic. Began crying when we honored the 9/11 heros today! Thank you Pastor/Apostle Ed for your genuine love for the saints, your REAL MEN talk to the reality of the life we live in, and the Kind Heart of Mercy you exhibit. The very first meeting my family and I had with you after the service was Real and RAW and sincere! We are a member of the work of God here now for this chapter in our Families life. So far its been a great 2 weeks i have been to 11,1pm service, The service and the Word was so good and intriguing I had to go home and watch it online again, Karen has been exceptionally great my toddlers don’t mind being dropped off and they like the teachers.

Love this church. ❤️❤️❤️❤️As a Retired Sheriff And Pastor now, my family and I visited today and the message was solid. All scripture and truth. Speaks about sin and talks about the grace of God. Saying about the blood ❤️🩸of Jesus on the cross. Most churches won’t even talk about these things.. Just try to entertain. Thank you Pastor Ed I should say Apostle Ed, Your word was prophetic. The pastor met us right after church. It was so refreshing to actually talk to a pastor where there are there some churches that security guard is on them and you can’t even have a meeting unless you set an appointment. Awesome Church, as we go there it was a beautiful church... Great place to go here the word. Always a inspirational and enlightening message with no politics. Day care for all ages during service, well stocked bookstore, clean and always inviting. Also has a kids park and a large basketball court outside. We have made this sanctuary are San Antonio home.

If youre running on empty, its time to come on in and fill your soul with the only one that will ever satisfy, GOD.

CBC saved my marriage. We have lived in Maryland for 15 months and we still stream the service every weekend. Pastor Ed is the best head pastor I’ve ever seen.

What I will like to know is why CBC seems to rarely teach repentance and why they allow Bethel, Elevation worship, Hillsong and their friends to be played as worship music, dont they know that is Satanic Music, sung to another Jesus Not the one from the Bible? We as Sa People should pray constantly for CBC. Its obvious now. their is nothingimperfect in heaven NOT even our Lords Jesus scars,. something is changed . Suddenly the Smoke machine is noticeable.

I love this place. Pastor Ed is amazing. He breaks it down so that it is easy for you to understand the message and relate to it. Something about the way his service is set up makes it so much easier for people with ADHD to keep focused during the service. The church also does so much for people in need whether that be financial help, food, mental health support, or substance abuse support. This church does so much for the city and the community and makes you really proud to be a part of it. Tithing is also done privately and is not pushed on you during the service which I admire compared to other churches Ive been to where they practically beg you to give before you leave the service. Its really a far distance for me from where I live but its completely worth the drive and its also live online if that is more convenient for you.

I have been going to CBC now for two months and I absolutely love it. It has been completely lifechanging for me! The praise and worship music is soul-shaking and really brings me into close personal worship with God. Pastor Ed is a charsismatic and relevant pastor who preaches a dynamic message every week that brings people into a closer relationship with Christ. This church is very much alive! There are multiple groups and programs that encourage church members to get involved with one another to experience fellowship and support in daily living. This is a welcoming, multicultural, multidimensional church bringing people to God through Bible study and making the world a better place!!!

I love the church (it was our home church) the pastors. The people. I got saved and and commited my life to Christ in Feb. 3, 2013. I got baptist here in April 24, 2014. We had to leave SA due to my son were coming back next year in April God willing.🙏

Pastor Ed is simply incredible. Todays service started off by baptizing young people. It was beyond beautiful. Absolutely love this church. Just started going there last Saturday. It is now my home. The best part is they preach the word of God. Jesus Christ is Lord!!!

I first became aware of CBC when I was a music minister in Alabama. I used to buy choir music that was arranged by CBC worship musicians. When we moved to SA three years ago, we began attending CBC and fell in love with the church. This week, we went to the special Christmas Presentation, and I was amazed. I cried several times as I was touched by the message of the songs and the beautiful narration. The song Make Room was a perfect theme for the program, which as a beautiful variety of music, all focused on Jesus, and seamlessly done. What a wonderful day with the family! Thanks to everyone who played a part ... too many to name here!

Many are discouraged with big churches because they think you will never get noticed but you also have to join the groups! Be active when you can and meet others and participate in groups. Because of God leading me to CBC through a wonderful friend back in February of 2003, I have gotten sober (over 16 years), have the best of friends, have a relationship with God, have learned so much through Bible study, single parent, divorce care, boundaries, and many many more classes. Great church. Doesnt just preach but you actually learn things as well. I usually never liked big churches, but this church is all about transparency. It doesnt hide its struggles or act all mighty. They lead by example and the pastor is the first you do so. More importantly he never tries to convince you to do anything. He likes for people to make their own choice and he preaches never to judge. He will humble himself and allow himself to learn as he teaches. He knows hows to get your attention and keep you interested in the sermon. Great speaker. They never ask for money, they never guilt trip people into doing things. Its a down to earth church, to show you how to leave this earth the right way.

A wonderful church in the heart of Texas. I attended CBC for a little over a year and was so impressed with the church as a whole. I very much appreciate Pastor Ed and the way he preaches, (he breaks it down for everyone especially if you didn’t grow up in church) he puts things in simple terms and always has great stories and/or life applications each service. I also like there are many options to attend church here with them having 5 services on the weekends. Now that I’m no longer in Texas I appreciate that I can still watch the services online. The worship team is fantastic and the music is always awesome! The best time of the month at CBC is the end of the month when they have baptism weekend which they call the best party in San Antonio! 🎉 This is a place where anyone and everyone is accepted no matter your age, race or background. The only down side is with the congregation being so large, you most definitely need to get involved with some type of ministry or small group if you want to develop friendships here. God is doing amazing things at this church! Highly recommend this church if you’re in San Antonio, you won’t be disappointed!

CBC is amazing, my children and I have been looking for a church to call home, we have found our home. We love it here, and Pastor Ed is so wonderful.

Great community Church. The preacher teaches the scriptures as I believe it should be. That everyone is welcomed regardless of their past. Hes down to earth and uses his flaws and shortcomings to make the message relatable to those who feel they may not deserve the chance. Lot of community out reach programs though most happen during the week so I hardly ever get to participate. I think that would be my only gig if you even want to call it that.
