Ive been going here on and off for years. Over 10 years ago, Scot cured bursitis in my shoulder with a couple of treatments. Id been getting steroid shots into the shoulder joint when it got bad for two years before seeing him. Since, no problems, and I am very active (weight lifting, martial arts, general silliness). Recently, I lost hearing in one ear after a diving incident. Id been deaf and on steroids for 6 days, thought to try acupuncture, and about 4 hours after treatment, the hearing started coming back. Hes also helped with other injuries and issues, but those two were incredible successes. Thank you, Scot! Highly recommended!

I have been one of Scot’s patients for several years now and am so appreciative of all that he has done to help me with my chronic pain and difficult digestive issues. Scot is extremely knowledgeable, professional, caring, kind, resourceful, helpful and is an excellent listener. I have been to eighteen different practitioners over the past six years and Scot has consistently provided excellent care and insight into what could be causing my health issues. I always get relief after my treatment sessions and also have a sense of hope that someone cares, understands and is committed to helping me manage my uncomfortable symptoms. At one point in my journey, I was so uncomfortable and depressed that, in tears, I asked Scot at the end of my session if he thought there was any hope that I would ever get better. He asked if I had some time to talk and he sat down and talked with me and encouraged me for at least another 20 minutes. He helped me get over my fear of food due to my digestive issues and counseled me on how eat to balance my blood sugars. None of my doctors that I have gone to have provided such supportive and encouraging nutritional counsel. Scot really has a great understanding of how our bodies work and cares deeply about his patients. He has even gone out to his way to recommend an excellent acupuncturist in Austin for my mom and text me with helpful resources to address my health concerns outside of my appointment time. Scot is very committed to helping others and I would recommend him and his staff to anyone. I prayed to the Lord in desperation for guidance and wisdom in finding someone who could help me with my chronic health issues and truly believe that God answered my prayers in leading me to Scot and Balance Acupuncture and Natural Medicine. Unfortunately I was not able to be seen in the clinic BUT that did not stop one of the practitioners from speaking with me on the phone and walking me through every thing that I needed to do and could do for my pregnancy. He was extremely kind and even gave me products to help me despite me not be a paying patient. He had no obligation to help me but he still voluntarily took the time and I am extremely grateful for all of the help he provided and the kindness that him and his front desk staff showed me.

Scot has been an integral part of my wellness journey! I was a little hesitant to try acupuncture, but Scot calmed my fears immediately. He has a demeanor that makes you feel safe and cared about. His practice is very professional and makes scheduling (and remembering!) appointments easy. The individual rooms are private and very relaxing and the time I spend having treatment is priceless. This place is perfect! I visited for a few chronic issues. I practice medicine myself and can vouch that they do practice legitimately. The intake forms and initial exam are very thorough.Ive seen all 3 practitioners (Scot, Karyn and Tim) and can see that they follow the same basic principles, but each have their own spin and preferred techniques. This means that any acute/temporary type issue can definitely be addressed by any of them, but also that chronic/long-term cases can be managed by one of them or you can see them all and get slightly different techniques added that help you explore what works best for you.The front staff is always positive, helpful and patient. The front and rooms are clean and have a nice atmosphere. The appointments are always punctual and can be adjusted for length most of the time if needed.In addition to consistently practicing good medicine, the practitioners are always accommodating, engaged and never seem rushed or distracted.Their prices are reasonable. They help me so much that anytime I review my finances, I consider these appointments indispensable because without them I am not my best self.Thank you so much, yall, for continuing to help me be more in balance!

My wife and I were dealing with infertility for years. We found that some recent literature supported positive effects of acupuncture on fertility. Then we came across Scot Taylors clinic. Long story short... we received treatment for a few months, after which, we conceived, and now have an amazing baby girl. Scot and his staff were amazing throughout the entire process. The staff at Balance is AMAZING! I went in because I was going through the in vitro process, trying to get pregnant, and had heard that acupuncture is very beneficial for this procedure. Scot was immensely helpful in explaining exactly what the benefits were, and made me feel like I was doing something to really help my situation. I went through my procedure after attending multiple acupuncture sessions and Im pregnant!! The staff was so accommodating and kind and made me feel so welcome in their beautiful office. I started visiting Scot a year ago, so I guess its about time I write a review. Ive suffered from generalized anxiety for about 30 years, and acupuncture and herbs have really helped more than anything else. I feel so fortunate to have found such a patient and understanding Chinese medicine/healing person in San Antonio. Unlike Western medicine practitioners, Scot thoroughly explains the way ones body is working and not working and how the treatment he provides can be helpful.I HIGHLY recommend visiting Scot.

Staff was very friendly! Went in for infertility problems. I was doing my second FET(first FET didnt work). I did some research and thought I would try out out acupuncture. Started looking at Google reviews around the city and found this place, so happy that I did I am now almost 8 weeks pregnant and I do believe Scot and his team played a major role in that! Forever grateful. Would recommend to anyone.

When you first walk into the lobby, you already feel the peaceful and loving surroundings. Every time I went I was either seen by Scott Tayor, the accupuncturist, or taken into the treatment room. This room was playing soft gentle music and the lights were dimmed. I was already feeling healing from the vibes all around me.Scott came in and we talked about the problem I was having. He has such a soft and caring demeanor, I felt like I was talking to a therapist for my mind. I was told what to expect and to take a deep breath and cough. When I coughed he put in the needle, time after time, until I was done. He let me rest and came back to check up on me every 15 minutes or so. The first time I was there a long time and felt aglow with the care and treatment I had received.Every time I have been there, its the same. Always loved and cared for. Hope you see for yourself.

Its hard to put into words what Scot has done for me. If you believe that GOD works through people, then this is where you should go to be healed. My story involves chronic pain induced by the treatment for Hepatitis C. After completing 6 mos. of treatment with Interferon and Ribivirin, I had a horrible reaction and became disabled, unable to work or function on a daily basis. The pain was so severe, I contemplated thoughts I never dreamed I would think of. For FOUR LONG years, I wasted away indoors, isolated from everyone..my pain controlled my very being. Saying that it was a 10 on a scale from 1-10 would be an underestimation. I didnt want to live anymore. We had struggled for years to conceive after being diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2008. After multiple surgeries the Dr’s said I still was not ovulating and there would be no way to achieve pregnancy on my own. So we tried two years of Clomid, artificial insemination, and eventually IVF. Everything failed! After that many fails I was so drained of energy and hope I needed to do something new, and quick.So, my first treatment was with Kimmi March 28 2013. I went in for anxiety and panic attacks due to the overwhelming amount of stress I was having after my second failed IVF treatment. She treated me once a week and it was going great. I was feeling better than I had in years. My hormones were getting back in balance, I had energy and even my husband noticed an immediate change in attitude and spirit. She even treated things I didn’t know that she could fix; no more chronic diarrhea, no more headaches, no more horrible periods, and the most important thing to note is NO MORE ENDOMETRIOSIS! In May I ovulated for the first time on my own!! We were overjoyed.I went in for my monthly endometriosis sonogram at my OB-GYN and because I was scheduled for my next IVF cycle in July the Dr. wanted me to have surgery to remove it. And on March 28, 2014; exactly one year from the day I started Acupuncture; I delivered a healthy baby boy. He was 8lbs 9oz 21 inches long.I still go to Acupuncture every other week. It has helped with balancing my hormones, regaining my energy, the lower back pain and headaches, and especially the lactation. Kimmi has made plans with me for when he is done breastfeeding we will get back to work on keeping away the Endometriosis with Acupuncture and Herbs.
