Dr. Sandeep Teja drained a large subdural hematoma out of my head. The hematoma was a big surprise a few months after having a car wreck. Although I dont recommend needless holes drilled into craniums, if you end up needing such a procedure, like I did, I think Dr. Teja did a good job.

Run away don’t let Teja touch you. He removed a plate in the front of my neck because the screws were backing out from a prior bad surgery. He told my wife & I that when he is in there removing the plate if it is fused he won’t put in another 1. After I woke up from surgery he told my wife & I that everything was great, that my neck was fused. A few weeks later I was having a lot of pain in the front of my neck. Went back & was told it is just inflammation gave me prednisone. I kept complaining & they kept giving me prednisone. Prednisone is not a good drug to be on too long. I was on it for 6 months. A few months later after my surgery my disability lawyer tells me before my hearing with Social Security that my neck is not fused & I have 3 broken metal fragments & a broken screw floating around in my neck. My lawyer had the CT scan that Dr Teja did during my surgery. This CT scan was never put in my online chart & was only obtained by a subpoena. I went back to Dr Teja & he said he didn’t think it would bother me so much. He flat out lied to me saying my neck was fused & he knew it wasn’t. He hid the CT scan from me. CT scan is still not online. Then he tells me that I need a new plate but it is too risky to put 1 in now because of all the damage done. I had a recent scan & where it isn’t fused has separated even more. I’m told that I need to wear a neck brace for the rest of my life to stabilize my neck. I refuse to wear it because it is uncomfortable, makes me sweat, looks ugly and cause rashes on my neck. I have severe pain in the front of my neck & down my arms now. My hands hurt so bad when I use them for more then a few minutes. He failed in his duty to inform me. Because of him I am left with severe daily pain. He knew it wasn’t fused & he lied to us that it was. He could have put a plate in that day but he didn’t. I don’t know why he didn’t fix it the right way. Maybe he was in a hurry to get to his next surgery. All I know he lied to us & has failed to reply to certified letters we have sent him.

My goodness what an amazing dr. and staff this is. Dr. Teja is kind, thoughtful, caring and compassionate. He listens and explains thing so you understand them. I had drop foot and needed another fusion. i had 0 response. Note every time but not uncommon to get that back. After about a couple weeks and therapy i was back to normal 100%. That was the most scariest experience ever (drop foot) so i am sooooo thankful i was referred to this amazing man and his experience as a Dr.

Dr. Teja and his assistant Caleb Jackson were absolutely amazing! I had a 4 level acdf of C3-C7 with metal brackets. In my case I had complete movement recovery in my arm and hands immediately when I woke up. I am very impressed! St Marks Hospital was also top notch. I highly recommend Dr. teja.

Dr. Teja is excellent at what he does. I cannot say enough good things about him and his incredible team. I highly recommend him. I have already referred family and friends. His office treats every patient like family. Makes you feel welcome and always cater to your needs. He is the best at what he does. Caleb Jackson and Trisha I’ve had to talk to and see throughout the pre and post op care and they truly care about your wellbeing. They get back to you same day. They are a GREAT team!!!! They never treat you as though you are bothering them. They genuinely care. Dr. Teja preformed lower lumbar surgery due to many years of pain. I had seen many doctors and tried many treatments. I can finally say that I am on the road to recovery and found a doctor that is in my opinion the best in his field. Thank you Dr. Teja and his amazing team for everything.

I recently had a back fusion performed by Dr. Teja. I was told he was one of the best and I believe it! I have been suffering from back pain for the last 13 years and severe back pain for the last 3 years but had put it off because I had heard so many bad stories. When I met with Dr. Teja he really took the time with me to address my fears but also gave me a real view of what to expect. I am a heavier person and as a heavier person you can’t go to a Dr. without them saying something about your weight so I decided to head off the conversation by bringing it up first. Dr. Teja was so kind! He explained to me that what was wrong with my back was more genetics than anything else. He said that of course my weight might factor in to my recovery some but he expected I would do just fine. He also said that weight tells nothing about the person you are and what you can contribute to the world and that he was in no way judging me. If you are overwieght you will know how much this meant to me! I was able to approach my surgery with confidence in myself and in Dr. Teja. My surgery went great!! That first 6 weeks is tough but then things start getting better. I’m two and 1/2 months out and doing great! All my pain is gone and I am looking forward to better days! I would highly recommend Dr. Teja and is staff! They were all amazing!!
