I was in a significant car crash in June 2020 effecting my spinal chord as well as left side of my body and started here a year later. It has been incredibly helpful in terms of my movement and has helped me regain things I thought lost. They understand my body better than I do but even with that, they encourage me to listen to my body and take the lead. Each session is unique and I have found it incredibly beneficial thus far. If you have significant physical limitations or even minor ones, I highly recommend stopping by, getting an evaluation and seeing how they might be able to help

I just started seeing the therapists at Release Works about 2 weeks ago, and Im already having amazing results.I have been dealing with some chronic pain off and on with no answers from my PT, chiropractor, acupuncturist or trainer. I have seriously been trying it all and am so grateful I called Release Works. Vanetta and David are both amazing - so caring, attentive and skilled. I am not over-exaggerating when I saw I have teared up twice since starting to work with them in gratitude for the work they do and the help they have given me.If youre experiencing pain, these are the therapists you need on your team!

Absolutely loved my sessions with Michael and Vanetta! I was so happy to find their clinic in Salt Lake. Pursuing a career in dance, I was terrified of potential injuries or imbalances and tightness in my body that could hinder my performance or longevity, and I am so thankful for the knowledge and work they did with me to help me not only heal, but continuously discover even more mobility and less pain in my dancing, which also means a longer lasting career!I would highly recommend Release Works to anyone who wants to thrive and feel greater mobility, less pain, and especially to those wanting to maintain an active, healthy life style. I enjoy every session, because I come out not only knowing more about my body and what I need to improve on, but also feeling more mobile and connected! Love, love, love, thank you!

I highly recommend Release Works!Vanetta was my therapist and she did such an amazing job! Thorough assessment for posture, pain and function. Therapy with Vanetta has been incredible and I highly recommend her! She sent me home with some self care homework and a myofascial release ball. I also received post treatment notes and recommendations that are well detailed. Im very impressed!Donald R. Lozon L.M.T

Highly recommended. I thought my back was shot and that I was destined for surgery. Within a month I was feeling extremely better. My 14-year-old daughter has started coming to help with a variety of issues and I told several good friends to start coming here to help with his back and shoulder pain as well.

The therapists here are highly knowledgeable and highly skilled. They pair their expertise with compassion and intuition while addressing the root cause of pain. I came to them with chronic intense shoulder pain. They addressed my arm, hand, shoulder, chest, ribs, shoulder blade, hips, neck, and more, while untangling the causes. The work they do is always gentle yet profound. It took a few months, but I achieved pain relief, full range of motion, and regained the ability to sleep at night.

I want to share my results with Myofascial Release Works of Salt Lake City. After being involved in a bad fall at work from sixteen feet and having five spinal surgeries and a knee replacement, I was still in a lot of pain. I came up with the idea it must be from all the scar tissue from having back opened so many times. I keep saying I felt like I was being squeezed with a giant pair of pliers around my back and ribs. I convinced my pain management Doctor to refer treatment to Release Works and now after my seventh visit things are really starting to change. Im sleeping more and longer through the night, pain is reducing and now Im standing taller and not leaning into my pain. This has made a huge difference for me and without the use of opiates that the Doctor had me on for twenty years.Im just now into my twentieth visit and just saw my Doctor and he was very happy with the results he was seeing that he is referring to continue treatment. I have to agree with him. If your in need give it an honest try.JB

Michael and Vanetta go above and beyond to find you relief, and more importantly, to provide you with the tools and understanding to feel better forever. They both have an immense understanding of the body and understand the healing process far better than any traditional pain specialist you could go to. If youre looking to actually get better and stay better, I would highly recommend paying them a visit!

Michael is a great MFR therapist, I have been working with him for about four months. He is very professional, knows and does his job so well. He knows the body and the mind very well and uses his intuition to do things I need, but maybe didn’t express it very clearly. My mobility, the way I feel and move has improved a lot, I feel like a totally new person.Thank you Michael Sudbury, you are a gift to this world!!

I suffered with back and neck pain for 18 years before someone told me about myofascial release. I had been previously seeing a physical therapist regularly which helped me to feel better for a few hours, but my body would quickly slip back into the familiar pattern of pain and joints that werent moving as they should. I was so frustrated with the whole process and certain that I would never get better. I bless the day that I started going to Michael Sudbury. He understands the body and how it is supposed to move. He knows how to unravel tissues that have become stiff and stuck and helps people move again with out pain. He also teaches you how to help yourself. He truly has a gift for healing. I just keep getting better and better! The body wants to heal, it just needs the right kind of help.

Recently I had surgery to repair a broken collarbone. Because we hadfuture travel plans, the surgeon made it clear that he would not release me as a patient until at least three months after the surgery. I started treatment with both Michael and Vanetta prior to the surgery and continued again a couple of weeks after. At the two month check up, the surgeon announced that he would no longer need to see me. I said that I was confused. Why was he willing to release me a month earlier that he had previously stated? He then gave me a confused look, turned to looked at his assistant and then back at me. He asked, Hasnt it been three months? He then stated that my progress was so good that he had not realized it had only been two months. I fooled the doctor! The use of myofascial release techniques and the skill of these two practitioners helped me to heal and gain mobility much faster than expected.

I have been dealing with Fibromyalgia for several years. I am allergic to NSAIDS so have not been able to take anything for relief, even prescriptions meds. I learned about myofascial release in a book called The Fibro Manual and decided to give it a try. I searched online and found Release Works and have been blessed to finally find some relief. I try to go once a week and Vanetta works on whatever area is most painful. I leave every time moving better with much less pain. If youre wondering if Myofascial release is for you, try it! You have nothing to lose but the pain! The only thing that would make it better, is if they were next door so I didnt have to drive to Salt Lake.

Several years ago I got caught in a flash flood and fell 18 feet, striking a rock and breaking the talus bone in my right foot. The helicopter was unable to reach us for rescue and I had to hike out of the canyon while freezing cold and in shock for several hours on the broken foot causing additional injury. After surgery, I experienced extreme burning and a pins and needles sensation in the foot. I could barely walk and could not wear any shoes except cushioned flip flops or slippers. I underwent two years of physical therapy, injections in the foot, red light therapy, 6 pills of Gabapentin daily and was finally referred to a pain specialist who wanted to do a spinal block to relieve the hellish pain I was living in. I met Michael at an event and after he worked on me for 20 minutes I felt this was the person to help me. Michael was the first person who agreed that we shouldnt try to block the pain, but find the cause of it and fix it. After the first six months of weekly therapy I no longer needed the Gabapentin and began to practice yoga again. Not only did Michael work on the root of the problem in my foot, he began to help my mind heal from the trauma and horror of the accident. During the next six months Michael began to question me about other parts of my body he felt I was having problems with and we began working on healing more than just my foot. During this time he also helped me heal my mind and soul in addition to my foot, stomach and neck. Yesterday my son got married and I wore heels for five hours, the longest Ive been able in four years. I would not have been well enough in mind or body without Michaels help. I will always be grateful for his knowledge and healing hands.

Michael Sudbury helped me after a few severe auto accidents. Id gone through physical therapy and chiropractic, but still had weakness, pain, and memory loss. He helped me notice issues with my posture that rooted in the lower back, rather than my neck and shoulders like I thought. He also brought out issues in my ribcage, from my body hitting and wrapping around the seatbelt with the accident. He noticed and took care of much more - but these two were the most memorable and I improved quickly. I was much more mobile and able to lose the weight Id gained after the accidents as a result. He is quite intuitive - and Id have to also say inspired as he treats patients. My word choices dont even cover what he can do. He helps YOU when you are with him. I respond better to what he does than assemblyline medical care, and Im so glad that I know him.
