I was in a bad mood this morning because I was running late to my appointment. The assistant was able to schedule a new appointment within the next half hour with a different PA.I’m deeply impressed by the healthcare that The U offers. They are true professionals that are knowledgeable and make a doctor’s visit enjoyable for the patient.All of the results from your visit are available on their App, making it easy to keep track of patient information.As someone who is disenchanted by the healthcare system, I am truly impressed with what the U is doing. Great job!

Joanna, the phlebotomist in the lab was amazing. She was so kind and empathetic to my situation and experience. Nurse Maria in Urgent Care was also very friendly and comforting. Amazing staff from what Ive seen so far. I really appreciated their kindness.

I went here yesterday. They were fast, efficient, professional, kind and even had a good sense of humor/good attitude amongst his pandemic- which I haven’t seen at many places, let alone a a health facility. Really like his location and it’s employees. I had to take my kids here on 2019 as well for strep throat tests and they were great then too. 👍🏻👍🏻

I had an appointment today 3/16/2021 @ 3:00 PM with PA-C Gilbert Gaertner. I was waiting for a half hour and they send me a student wanting to talk to me about my health concerns. First of all, this is private medical information. I do not want to divulge personal matters with someone I do not know. Second, Im not a lab rat to be learned from. This in part is due to medical care in the West, where we do not get the proper care due to racial divides. The University Health care system as a whole is very good to send you to collections and charging you if you do not promptly pay, then if that is your policy, do us a favor as the community that you guys claim to serve. Send the person you had the appointment with!

One star review because I was appalled at how they were operating during COVID-19 conditions. As of 3/4/21 the waiting room on the second floor was full beyond COVID capacity (in fact it would have still been cramped pandemic aside). It was obvious that they were not restricting appointment allotments to the degree they should have. There were more than 30 people in the waiting room at once, with many people actively sick, coughing, and not wearing their masks properly. There was poor air circulation in the room and none of the seats were being wiped down in-between sick patients (mostly important for the seat handles where hands touch). The seating was not spaced 6’ apart, only every other seat was blocked off which was around 3’ of spacing. 2 people checked in that said they had just hit their 2-week mark being sick with COVID, but were still feeling sick (this was another issue as there is little privacy during check-in, but it is more understandable because they were asking people to maintain distance from the check-in desk). I felt so uncomfortable and wanted to leave, and I probably should have because I believe that this was ripe for a super-spreader event. Data shows that it’s not just masks that protect people: sanitization procedures and proper social distancing are critical, especially in high-risk settings like a doctor’s office. Overall I was extremely disappointed in the operating procedures and am kicking myself for even going—there are no “takesy-backsies” with a virus, and I am very worried I was exposed. I get that the health staff are fully vaccinated at this point, but the general population that they serve are not.The Sugarhouse Clinic is doing an incredible job of practicing safe COVID procedures and is where I’m drawing many comparisons. The staff are diligent in spacing appointment allotments, keeping everyone spaced properly, sanitizing things, and ensure that masks are worn properly for everyone’s safety. The staff at Redwood were fantastic as well, but I did not see the same protocols implemented, and unfortunately we are still in the midst of a global pandemic.

Ive been going to Redwood Clinic to see Dr. K for many years. Everyone is kind and helpful. Dr. K is amazing, he listens to me and helps with all my problems. He cared for my husband for almost 20 years! I recommend him and the Redwood Clinic to everyone.

Terrible experience. Had an appointment and didnt get seen til 1 hour after appointment time. Nurses would ask me questions but would interrupt me while giving them an answer. I wont go here again. They were never swapping their gloves in between patients. They werent even being sanitary with the COVID stuff that I used to get tested.

The hospital management team ask for the feedback, complaints and compliments. But it is only like showing teeth of elephant. The management team in the hospital never follow up with any disappointments of their customers.The front desk staffs are seemed to be very rude. I called them on 12/03/19 at 9:46 Am. One of the lady in the front desk received the call. I was so shocked to hear her very unprofessional rude voice. I don’t know how the management team train their employees. This is not first time. I have had these kinds of Nasty behavior from front desk staffs couple of time.

Went to get a covid test, check in lady was only wearing a paper mask, no gloves or eye protection and proceeded to stick her head halfway in each vehicle to ask for a name. It made me feel very unsafe. Doctors were in full hazmats, but proceeded to open each spit test for the individual, screw on the cap and touch it multiple times before youre expected to put your mouth on it and spit. Didnt see them sanitize (the few wearing gloves) their gloves me entire visit. Im deeply concerned that they are infecting more than they are testing and am more concerned about having it now, than before I went in to get tested.

Family has been using the Urgent Care part of this clinic for 6 years. Nothing but good experiences. As with all urgent care facilities, wait times vary from visit to visit, but I’ve never felt that a wait was unreasonable.

My husband went and seen Dr. Gilbert Gaertner and he was so amazing!! He took his time to ask questions and answered all of our many questions and never made us feel rushed or like just another number. He actually cared!! We have now made him my husbands primary care doctor because he is such a great person and doctor! I would recommend him to everyone and anyone that I know!!

Been going here for so long. I have never felt rushed or processed. Each Dr has been outstanding. I have used the lab, GI clinic and PCP. From the check in desk, pharmacy, nurses aides and doctors all are professional and so knowledgeable. Kindness today in this busy busy world is not common. Was forced to have a client Covid tested before she could get a MRI. Was negitive.... At the testing site worst cross contamination i have ever seen. Did not change gloves or masks.. They wiped them down with a disinfecting wipe and reused the wipe. It was aweful. I caused a stink an theu called security because i want them to change gloves an mask before getting near my 70 yr old client. Threaten to call the cops and have me removed. . finally the person in charge he was like fine and had them do as i asked. So sad that they are the main reason people get sick or positive result and they are not sick.

Horrible. The nurses are not friendly at all. The dr.s arent friendly at all, I have my 3 year old here because of a bladder infection or a uti and they are taking forever to come in, and when we were walking into our room 4 of the nurses were just sitting together and pointing at me and my daughter and were looking at us awfully. I absolutely do not recommend coming here for urgent care. They are unprofessional and disrespectful. The dr is trying to say she just needs Miramax because shes also constipated but I know that she has a bladder infection because Ive had the same symptoms before.

Great costumer service by the front desk staff. Visited a couple of dedicated doctors here including an ophthalmologist at the Moran eye center inside the building. For the urgent care there is no need for an appt, you can just show up and the wait is not crazy long.

I dont typically write reviews, but this was ridiculous. I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Prest for almost two months, and they called me the week before my appointment to let me know that she wouldnt be in the office that day, and that I needed to reschedule. I was then informed that there isnt another appointment available until the middle of March, and that they cant get me in any sooner than that regardless of the fact that they are the ones who made the mistake. I was excited about this new clinic, and now I will never go back, nor will I recommend this office to anyone else.

Indian Doctor my Grandparents had were the worst. My grandpa died from a stroke due to having a Huge tumor the size of an orange. I dont get how the doctor did not detect anything, when my grandpa has been going to his appointments for months before he past. The doctor also told me that my grandma was fine and that she will never get better because of her Alzheimer and dementia. The next couple days my grandma got admitted to the UoU hospital that had nothing to do with her dementia. They think we are stupid minorities that will believe anything they say.

First things first, dont go here if your insurance sucks or you dont have insurance. I paid my $50 copay which I was lead to believe was the only amount Id have to pay, but it wasnt. I literally just got my vitals done, by which I mean my weight and blood pressure were taken) and re-prescribed a birth control I was previously on and I got charged a whopping $218. My insurance only covered $44 of my bill, so I was left with the other $174 to pay, ALL FOR SOME VITALS AND A RE-PRESCRIPTION. The only reason Im giving this place a 2 star rating is because the gyno that I saw was pretty nice, but other than that I got majorly ripped a new one. lol

First of all, I actually had a doctor here tell me that I shouldnt worry about not feeling my baby kick because hes smaller than a golf ball. I mentioned MULTIPLE times that I was 24 weeks pregnant. How this guy got through any type of schooling is beyond me. (By the way my baby weighed almost 2 pounds on my last ultrasound.) This is just an example of the incompetence at this place. If you go in with a problem you will come out with 2. Just such a waste of time. There might be a doctor or 2 worth seeing but its not worth the chance.

I do NOT recommend this clinic (or any other UofU Health Care Clinics, by default). Wish I could give Zero stars...Yes, I received the care I needed, but they are dishonest and cheat their patients.I recently saw a doctor for a very simple matter. I asked for an estimate of what it would cost, because I dont have insurance. They refused point blank to even give a ballpark guess. All they would say is You have to pay $50 up front.In retrospect, I should have driven across town to Instacare at that point. But it was getting late, and I was in pain, so I stayed. BIG MISTAKE. Once I had seen the doctor, I returned to the front desk and asked the girls there if they could now give me an estimate. They opened my account, looked up all the codes for what I had received, and gave me an estimate (which already sounded pricey). But of course, I had already seen the doctor so I had no choice anymore.Within the week, I received a bill which matched the estimate I had received pretty well. But when I logged in to pay it a few days later, I suddenly had a MUCH higher bill to pay! I immediately called billing and was told that the extra charges were for my lab tests, and the original invoice had only been the fee for seeing the doctor! She said that they regularly send out the bills separately, which is where the confusion came in.And when I asked her why it was so much higher than the estimate, she told me the girls shouldnt have given me an estimate in the first place, and that there was no way they could even come close to guessing what I would be charged. THEY HAD THE CODES AND A LIST OF WHAT EACH SERVICE COST RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TRUST THEIR ESTIMATE!!!!!My ailment was minor, routine, and had no complications! I understand it costs more to go to after hour clinics rather than to primary care physicians, but these people clearly dont give a damn about the patients except as a means to line their own bank accounts.IF YOU NEED HELP, YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY FIND ANOTHER PLACE!!!!! YOU WILL GET SCREWED BIG TIME IF YOU GO TO A UNIVERSITY OF UTAH HEALTH CARE CLINIC!!!

Very impressed with the care I recieved today. I went in with a really bad kidney & bladder infection. I was taken care of quickly, each member of staff was kind and attentive. I left feeling like I had been heard & taken care of, they even helped me set up an appointment for follow up care with a provider they trusted. I would not hesitate to come back, or to bring my children.

I have mix feelings with this hospital. Do some research on doctors here, some are great and some could care less about you. Certain staff cant follow up simple instructions or have common sense. It causes so many delays. Elevators are terrible, too small for the disables to go through and closes fast. Whoever build this place should be kicked in the balls, they have huge wheelchairs but manuvering them through a small doorways and narrow halls is a real challenge.In summary, we came here at 2pm and left at 6pm 4 f***king hours for a check up.

I received a call from this clinic to inform me of my boyfriends surgery for the following morning. Only guess what? They had not called HIM or even told him the test results. They scheduled him for a surgery he knew NOTHING about. When he tried to tell them this, they were extremely rude and told him he would be charged if he didnt show up. On July 25th he went to the the clinic in terrible pain, Dr. Kottarathil ordered x-rays. Its been almost a month and he will not return our calls or tell him what is wrong. How is this even legal? This place is horrible!

I know its probably very common to hear this, but here I go. This has got to be the very first review Ive ever done. Ive been to this clinic for regular check ups and most recently the service has gone down so bad. About 4 months ago I came in to see the doctor because I was getting so dizzy. I had not gotten my menestral cycle so naturally figured I was expecting. After taking numerous test and all negative I came in. Saw the doctor and all and was diagnosed with vertigo. Yea that was wrong. I am pregnant. So now Im here waiting in Urgent Care 6 months pregnant, I was told after calling in the clinic to come in asap. So Im here, I arrive and Im told its an hour wait. Okay fine I get it, there are many people who are ill and I am not the only person on he planet, so I wait patiently. Now 3 hrs later and Im still here waiting!! This is ridiculous! I myself work at a doctors office and we do not accept our patients to even wait for over 3 mins. 20 minutes is borderline for our employees. Now imagine waiting a whole 3 hrs plus! If I was dying Id be dead now. At this point I feel like I need to charge this clinic for my time. They have no sense of urgency what so ever! I truly hope this review gets so someone who is able to cause some change. But over all my real rating is a ZERO!!

Id give this place a 0!!!!!!! I came to these clinics months ago for a heart condition (and stomach pains but this is a whole other thing) that got worse over the past few months. I was never able to get appointments any sooner than 3-5 weeks out, sometimes longer!! Eventually they figured out what i had and sent me for an ablation at the u of u hospital which turned out to be unsuccessful. At my follow up appointment they pretty much told me that they didnt know what to do and had no other medications they could give me. (They previously had me try 2 different ones that didnt work) I was in constant pain and fatigue and they never listened to how bad i was feeling. It was always if it keeps happening not if, when!!!! I was always hurting. I went to a different doctor at granger medical and he immediately listed medication i could of been on by now that would help me. I always felt like i had absolutely no hope going here. Thanks for the 600$ bill for nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not the fanciest facility but i absolutely loved my obgyn. My first pregnancy and delivery wouldnt have gone as smoothly and stress free without her. I was sad to have to switch medical providers when my insurance changed.

I really enjoyed the general practice doctor I saw so I decided to try out their gyno office. Well I have a condition that REQUIRES me to skip periods and if I dont, I can expect to have a surgery due to a massive pooling of blood outside of my uterus. My bc runs out in a month so I attempted to have an appointment within a month but apparently (and this is the first Ive ever had to wait this long for an appointment in the 7 years Ive been on bc) you have to schedule 3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. When I attempted to tell the scheduler that I NEEDED an appointment I was told too bad from the first person. The second time I called the nice man was able to put me on a wait list. I hope I can be seen before I will need further medical care.

WARNING: THIS CLINIC LOCKS ITS DOORS BEFORE CLOSING TIME!I was originally going to rate this clinic 5 stars, but they just lost two for what happened tonight.My original visit was for a laceration, which was handled compassionately and professionally by the staff here. I was truly impressed with the level of care and the calmness of their manner. I left feeling that this was the best place I could have come, besides an emergency room - which usually costs many times more.Because my wound has not sealed up, I called tonight for advice. It was difficult to reach a person when I attempted to call - and this cost me about 10 extra minutes. Once I did reach a person, I was transferred to a nurse, who put me on hold to consult with someone else and then was asked if I could make it to the clinic before 9pm - their closing time. I said that I could, and would hurry to the location.Along the way, I watched my clock, my watch, and the clocks on nearby business signs close to the clinic. I arrived and walked up to the entrance to the clinic at 8:58pm to find the doors locked, despite there being three people at reception and another two nurses near the front desk. It was clear that I was waiting at the entrance, but was somehow not noticed.It is very frustrating to be asked to come in before closing, only to find that the person I spoke with failed to relay that I was coming in - and to be ignored at the entrance BEFORE closing time.Sadly, I have to take 2 full stars away from an Urgent Care clinic which CLOSES EARLIER THAN POSTED. The point of Urgent Care is to be seen during their posted hours. In this respect, they have utterly failed.Its disappointing that a clinic which seems to have great people does not stay open for the full extent of their posted hours. I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone in the future, unless they are able to resolve the issues surrounding their closing times.

So I am a professional fighter and I don’t have health insurance. Crazy combo I know. I initially payed 50 for a physical and they billed me 181.91 on top of that. 230 for a physical! No blood work taken. No scans. Nothing but taking my blood pressure, touching my stomach and limbs to make sure I’m not hurt and asking about my family history. The doctor was super cool and pleasant to be around. But I leave them one star because the person I talked to on the phone said it shouldn’t cost more that 150. Very deceiving. I will do everything in my power to never work with them again and encourage others to not work with them as well. I wish there was a way to leave zero stars. Sad day when it’s normal to charge 200 plus dollars for blood pressure i could have taken at Walgreens for free. This is making my blood pressure rise. Don’t go to this place if you don’t have insurance. I know it’s not the doctors fault but rather the scam our healthcare system is. University of Utah health care should be ashamed of themselves.

Worst experience i ever had teying to get glasses for my 4yr old the eye doctor timothy gibbons was an amazing eye doctor and he did a great job taking care of my son in getting his eyes checked for the first time, on that note like i said worst experience trying to get my sons glasses through this eye center the person that took care of us getting glasses was rude and didnt care about our needs he argued with me about my ins not covering the glasses which i know they do because the day i made the appointment the receptionist told me to make sure my ins covered the eye exam and glasses if needed which i did 3 TIMES i told the gentlemen that i had already called and made sure he still refused to bill my ins so i called my ins the next day 2 more times just to make sure they cover it which they do so i called him and told him that they do except my ins and once again he refused to believe what i had to say so i gave him a number to make sure for himself i waited 2 days before calling back to see if he got through to them his excuse was he was to busy.. so i then asked him to transfer me to someone to make a complaint to be hung up on and told that it was my responsibility to make sure my ins covered the glasses which i did 3TIMES she also told me i need a writin document stating they covered his glasses... first if i would have known before showing up i would have gotten that but because i was told on the phone when making the appointment to CALL MY INS not get a written document to make sure they covered my ins i didnt get that i just called them. I also live 2hrs away from any eye doctor and now i have no choice but to go to another eye place to get my 4yr olds glasses that he NEEDS.. im very disappointed how they treated the situation like it was my fault when it really wasnt.

Front desk staff was fair at best but the doctor I saw in urgent care (Jackson woods) was obviously not interested in helping me figure out what was wrong and just made me feel like I wasnt important and didnt matter so he would just say my health concerns were nothing to worry about, and he didnt even follow through with a urine test he said he would have me do he just obviously wanted to get me out of his way, definitely not coming here again and I dont recommend you come if you have any health problems you want to get looked at

The only reason I gave this place 1 star was because i had to in order to leave this review.First visit I was told you have no insurance i cant help you but they charged me 300 dollars after i paid 50 cash. Was told to quit eating at mcdonalds move around more. Thats the best thing I can say. And told me I had beart burn ..Truly have circulation problems with horrible chest pains.So I got insurance went back to another Dr. And he did not listen to a thing I said when I ask about swelling in my feet and legs and shortness of breath he replied circulation issues but he told me my problem was heart burn. For a cough that just dont quit and purple feet. Ignored me all together just went along with notes from the intern from before and prescribed 250 dollars worth medicine. I was suppose to pay 250 after my insurance.FMLA papers were left tp be sent in to my work its been 2.5 weeks and they r not done yet. I will get fired if they are not done here sbortly and they dont care.Needless to say i will be finding a other Dr. These are very uncaring and only want your money

We were on a work/business trip and we decided to take our toddlers with us. Our 3yo who has problems with allergies and has asthma like symptoms felt ill and we were 5hrs away from our dr. The people at this place were wonderful and the dr even call us the following day to see how my daughter was doing. Who does that now a days? They were great! because it was not in our providers for insurance they told us it would be anywere from 50-500. When your kid is sick, you go starving if you have to. today I got the bill its only $148.60 [its a lot but WAY better than $500]. Thank you for being there after hours and being fast and not a $800 for emergency room bill.

Very disappointed. I traveled two freaking hours just to be seen by Doctor Who didnt know what they were talking about. I went in there with very bad foot and knee pains. they didnt even look at me all they told me was I need to schedule an appointment with the specialist and sent me out on my way and had to pay about $300 for less than 10 minute visit totally not worth my money highly do not recommend this clinic or any other U of U clinics at all go to a doctor or go to a facility that actually care. u of u is false advertisement .

After having a really bad experience with another doctor I was extremely frustrated and didnt really want to jump through hoops with trying a new doctor however after seeing Whitney and her staff I left completely at ease and happy and will definitely return. Whitney treated me with the most genuine care possible and didnt look at my prior history and brush me off she was so thorough and kind I appreciate her more than she knows. Also Rosaria and Mariah were so great and kind to me I really appreciate them as well thank you redwood clinic for the best care possible. Rosaria really went out of her way to help me in a problematic situation so thank you. I genuinely have not been treated with such good care out of all of the years of doctors appointments and visits and trust me its a lot of doctors appointments and visits. I didnt even know about this clinic because I am on the complete other side of town, however I will definitely travel just to go here, I dont even mind. Thank you thank you thank you you guys have help me tremendously I cant say enough kind words!!!!!!

I like urgent care over normal ERs for time and cost savings. Namely, urgent care-style treatment generally does a better job of telling you what your bill will be upfront, unlike an ER which will gleefully rack up 10,000$ of debt in an hour. I was expecting this kind of transparency from your center and was extremely disappointed when the final amount deviated SIGNIFICANTLY (by an order of magnitude) from the previously-discussed out-of-pocket and lab costs I was quoted by staff.Folks, this is an ER for less urgent needs, not an urgent care. Expect the same fun ER-style random bills from lab tests, doctors, etc for months afterwords. The physicians and staff were fine, but I waited as long as I would have in a regular ER and was charged almost as much. An impressive attempt at re-branding, U of U. A+ to your business people for the idea! More market share! Too bad you failed amazingly to deliver the actual benefits that are supposed to come with urgent care.Fellow Utahns, next time you have a fever or UTI, go to guardian care or another doc-in-the-box where they will actually be upfront about the costs and your wait time will generally NOT be 3 hours on a non-busy evening. This slow-moving dinosaur of an organization deserves to go extinct.

Nurse practitioner Brooke Paulson and her staff have to be among the worst medical providers I’ve ever been to. Don’t waste your time, money or patience with them because they will only disappoint you with their incompetence.

I gave it 3 stars because I wish Icould withhold an actual review. I needed urgent care. The clinic itself was open at 7 but urgent care not actually open until 9. So I had to go to the Farmington Health Center to be seen at 7 am. I heard that there are always 10 people there when they open at 9 so if you are short on time, go to the Farmington one on 165 N University in Farmington, 25 min north

Some staff is absolutely amazing, others not so much. I continue to go because its close and convient. If youre pregnant though i would recommend an obgyn from somewhere else.

If you want to see an actual doctor, I mean the kind with MD after their name, dont go here. If you are in pain and looking for relief, dont go here. Overall a sub-par medical group where you feel like a number rather than a person. Would have rated 0 stars if could.

What the hell do you guys do with your test results cause youre sure as hell not notifying people. I cant believe how many times i was givin the run around just to get my test result from something i had gotten MONTHS ago and i still dont have my results from a simple blood test. Unbelievable, unprofessional, and just plane out cruel.

The entire visit we were treated like a dollar sign. Unpleasant. Went back 2 more times to give them the benefit of the doubt and each time we were bossed around and shamed we didnt have more money to spend at their clinic.

I recently switched to Dr Fixmer at the redwood location and couldnt be more satisfied, he made me feel more than comfortable which is usually hard for me because I get anxiety when I go to the doctors office. Thanks you for everything your entire staff is amazing!

I went to this Hospital to get the Covid 19 vaccine, all very quickly, you ask for your appointment and register when you arrive and if you need a translator they support you with one ... the friendly staff in both doses, I got the Pfizer vaccine and zero discomfort ... I hope the community cheers up and comes and it is also totally free. Dont stop getting vaccinated for yourself, for your family and for your community.
