I actually enjoyed my visit with Dr Macdonald. His office staff is very helpful and nice to interact with. The visit was very important to me and I was extremely happy with the explanation given by the doctor. He’s was willing to show and explain the situation to me that helped me understand what was going on. He was very helpful with my questions and spent the time needed to get the next step. Fantastic Doctor. Thanks to him I feel reassured that this can be fixed and I can heal from this!!

Dr. Joel MacDonald is everything one could ask and hope for in a neurosurgeon and more. On the recommendation of both a previous patient of Joels as well as a friend who is a pediatric neurosurgeon,, a friend of mine went to Joel following several failed procedures and without much hope. That friend has been active and pain-free for over 10 years. Because of that, when I also needed that kind of help myself, there was no question I went to Joel. He exceeded those highest expectations, not only for technical expertise but his caring personal manner and excellent communication of the nature of the problem, and options to approach diagnostics and treatment and recovery, step by step in an informed manner.

Dr. MacDonald was an amazing Surgeon, I would highly recommend him to anyone.His Nurse Katie needs to learn manners and how to do her job, if you can avoid her you will be better off for it.

I had some head injury they did an outstanding job they made sure I would get the best care become the doctor I was with. Dr McDonald he is a very good neurologist I highly recommend anyone to him.

Dr. McDonald made my 75 year old Mom’s life amazing! She went in in a wheelchair and a month later walked in using a cane. The staff is very friendly and helpful and he did an outstanding job Walking us through the benefits of the procedure.We attempted to spinal stimulation through another practice, sadly they were not surgeons. If you are considering this procedure, make sure you use a surgeon. We recommend Dr. McDonald.We had a great experience at Salt Lake regional Hospital, Where Dr. McDonald conducted the procedure.
