No exaggeration, this was the best dental experience Ive ever had! From the time I walked into the office, the staff in Dr. Rudds practice was very nice, helpful,, accommodating-the assistants made sure of my comfort through every step of the process. The State-of-the-art equipment coupled with Dr. Rudds techniques are amazing. I was there for my very first Root Canal and I am glad I was referred to Salt Lake Endodontics! I am very impressed and happy to refer this practice to others. 🥰

Dr. Rudd was amazing. I am so afraid of dental work because of past painful encounters, but Dr. Rudd was able to numb my mouth quickly and effectively (unlike past experiences) and get in and out with my root canal. The root canal was more pleasant than the last time I had a cavity filled! I definitely recommend him if you need an endontist. I paid a little extra for laughing gas and that too helped calm my nerves.

I have a massive phobia of dentists and things being in my mouth in general. So when I had to get a root canal I was predictably terrified. But the wonderful people at Salt Lake Endodontics did everything they could to help me through. They checked in with me throughout the procedure, used a rubber mouth guard so nothing would be truly inside my mouth, and all at a very fair price out of pocket. If I ever screw my teeth up again, I know who to turn to. Brush your teeth and floss, kids!

I cracked and broke a piece off of a back lower molar Friday evening on the 4th of July Weekend. I called Dr Rudd’s office Tuesday morning and they scheduled me for just after noon the same day.This was my 4th visit to Dr Rudd. His office staff have always been welcoming and efficient, his assistants are pleasant and caring, and Dr. Rudd gets right to the business of diagnosing the problem and making sure it is corrected.I will not say the experience is one I wish to repeat, however, if the need arises, I will return and engage Dr. Rudd’s services for sure. I give his practice my highest recommendation.

Dr. Rudd has performed two root canals and another oral surgery on me and everything turned out great. He also has experienced A+ staff. If you’re looking for a fast and painless experience give him a go.

Mitchell Rudd DDS is hands down my favorite. He saved my front tooth after an injury, and I will forever be grateful to him and his head assistant, Christy. I got a root canal from Dr. Rudd. The whole office was exceptionally nice and Dr. Rudd also had amazing bedside manners. The last time I got a root canal was over 10 years ago, so I was relieved to know that technology and technique has come a long way. I felt completely confident in Dr. Rudd’s abilities. I had minimal pain for a short duration of the procedure, and the whole thing only lasted about 50 minutes. I’m not gonna say I’d do it again, but if I had to, I would absolutely go back to Dr. Rudd.

After a terrifying and very painful experience getting my 1st crown. I was very hesitant coming in for a root canal. The staff was incredibly friendly and reassuring. Dr. Rudd was amazing!!! He was patient and understanding in regards to my new found fears of dentists. He did an incredible job and I didnt feel anything. He suggested I use the gas just because I was already a nervous mess. I went back about a week later due to some pain in the tooth area. Dr. Rudd listened to what I was saying. He asked if my dentist had adjusted the bite on the crown (which was to be my permanent crown). I told him I thought so. He took a look, reassured me, and adjust the bite a little. I walked out of there pain free and have been since. I would highly recommend him in the event you do have to have a root canal done or any in depth dental work done. I hope I never have to come back but if I do it will be to Dr. Rudd and his staff. Prices were very reasonable also.

At the recommendation of my dentist I went to Dr. Rudd for a root canal. The women at the front desk were very friendly and worked things out to get me in the next day. Everyone in the office was friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. I was asked multiple times if I needed anything (water, magazine) before the procedure started.Since this was my first root canal I have nothing to compare it to, but it seemed to go pretty well. There were some painful/ uncomfortable bits, but Dr. Rudd was very observant and asked multiple times how I was doing and made sure I was comfortable. When the procedure was finished I still felt a bit of pressure on my tooth (because of the infection) so they made sure to prescribe me a serious if medications to clear it out and relieve the pain.Later that same evening Dr. Rudd called me himself to check on me and see how my pain/ pressure level was doing. (I didn’t answer the call because I was at the gym running on the treadmill with zero discomfort in my mouth.) it was such a kind gesture.This is some of the best customer service I have ever had in a dentist/ doctor office! Highly recommend this office.

I had a terrible toothache and knew I needed a root canal. They were literally the only place out of about 30 endodontist/ dentists I called that were able to get me in that day. My tooth is still throbbing quite a bit. Im hoping that stops soon!

Amazing Experience. I was so terrified of getting a root canal, however this experience was amazingly painless. The techniques used to administer the local anesthesia were incredible. I barely felt the needle. And let me tell you. I have a severe phobia of needles, so I really appreciated this. My mouth barely felt any pain after the procedure as well. Just some slightly soreness, but thats to be expected. I am extremely glad that I chose to come here.I highly recommend!!

Went for a root canal. Dr. Rudd did the job fast and well, and has clear talent for his work. The dental assistant, Annie, made me smile when I was in pain, and did more than I could ask to make things go easy. Awesome team, pleasant staff, great office; would recommend.

My son went to this office for a root canal. He is an LDS missionary. They told him not to worry about the cost, that the church would pay for it. He trusted them, so he didnt ask more questions. The church does not pay for dental. I feel like they took advantage of my son and gave him bad info. It is easy to charge a lot when the church will pay for it. They charged $1900 for 1 root canal! They gave a small discount but the final price was still $600 more than my root canal from another endodontist in Utah. Had they not told my son not to worry about it, he would have called around.

I love going to Dr. Rudd! Never in a million years did I think I’d say that about anyone looking at my teethed alone doing a root canal and removing part of my roots! But honestly Dr. Rudd and his staff made me feel so cared for and they even made me feel like I was just at home with my mom. After a little surgery to remove a small part of my root I was tearing up and in slight pain but they helped me drink my water and even offered to walk me to my car! I have recommended him to my family for anything serious because that is how much I trust and appreciate his work!!! If you’re in pain and need a specialist Dr. Rudd is your guy!! Honestly!!!

Dr. Rudd is amazing. Was sent to him with intense pain and my dentist thought the pain was coming from an infected root. Dr. Rudd looked at my mouth and said that yes I did have an infection but he thought my pain was coming from a neighboring tooth with the root dying. Once he did the root canal my intense pain stopped. He got me in right away and this was New Years Eve. He has since done another root canal, retreated that infected tooth, and pulled some roots from a previous pull. The tricks he uses for shots make it pretty fast and easy. His staff is so comforting. Love you guys! Never thought Id ever say that to a dental professional. lol

I am a new patient of Dr. Rudd. I am very please with the acknowledgement I got when I called desperate with the pain I had with a irreversible pulputis.My main dentist got me in at lunch time to see me, he could not point out were the pain was coming from (My main Dentist called personally this Endodontist near his office to get me in as fast as possible since my Dr. knew I was in a lot of pain. it was near his practice in Bangarter and 106, ), I was shocked that he wanted me to come back to see him from Thursday to next Monday.I was not able to tolerate that terrible pain for so many days I went to my car leaving their practice and I google and search endodontist near my house address Dr. Rudd was the number one that showed up. I check with my main Dentist what he thought about him and said that it was a great endodontist with top technologyHis staff immediately scheduled me for the next appointme first time Friday morning When I called at 4:30 pm . I was told what medications to take and last time I should take them the previous night.So they could find were the pain was coming from. I walked at 9 am to Dr. Rudds practice. I got in immediately everyone asked me how I was feeling. They were positive telling me that they were going to make me feel good very in no time. And they did.They took me to a room where they did this amazing scan on my mouth /head so they can see where the infection was coming from.So they did not need to do many X rays that are painful and much more since I got 4-5 the previos day and my gums were still sore from the cuts the x-rays made.. As well I am a patient that gags with those rectangular Xrays. They only took one Normal X-Raysand it was enough to see what they needed.Dr. Rudd and his team immediately were able to see were the infection was. Immediately they started the procedure to remove the nerve of my mollar number 19 and clean all the canals I had 3 and fill them up and seal them. In a hour and a half they did everything and I left their practice with my mollar number 19 finish and like new. No more pain!!!! and a weekend ahead of me to enjoy.They gave me immediately pain killers and advice me how to take them.In the evening for my surprise I received a call from a number I did not had save, and it was Dr. Rudd checking how I was feeling and if I had any questions.Dr. Rudd really cares for his patients and goes above and beyond to give care and service. IS the service every patient should get. Thumbs up for Dr.s Rudds practice.

No pain just hours after a root canal!

I was having one of the worst tooth aches ever and my regular dentist couldn’t get me into office for over a week. I couldn’t stand the pain anymore so I called around different offices to see if anyone could preform a root canal that day. I live in Layton and all the offices around me were booked. I was starting to become very frustrated because of the pain and happened upon Salt Lake Endodontics. I wasn’t looking forward to the 40 minute drive with a tooth ache, but they were the only office that was able to get me in the same day. When I got to the office, I was immediately invited in and the ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind. I have a lot of anxiety about dental procedures, but they all helped calm my nerves. I had never had a root canal before so I was very worried. I had heard horror stories of how painful they were. I did not have that experience. In fact, I was shocked when we were done so soon. It was not painful at all and was quick. I was so pleasantly surprised. Even though this office is quite a drive away from us, we will definitely go back if needed. The staff was great and I felt well taken care of. I left the office with no pain and felt back to normal within an hour. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff that helped me today! You guys are awesome!

The facility is impressive with all the high tech dental equipment and Doctor Rudd was thorough, friendly and so were the staff. And it’s comforting to know that Dr Rudd has lots of experience !

Had a crown fall off and a filling fall out during Covid19. My regular dentist was not taking patients but Dr. Rudd was accepting emergency patients. His staff fit me in the NEXT morning! All the office women were super sweet and very kind-especially Christy and Ronda. Dr. Rudd not only re-cemented my crown but he fixed my filling as well. Thank you so much!

Amazing staff. Willing to work around your schedule. The assistant, Christy, was so friendly, empathetic and willing to answer all of my questions. I plan on requesting Christy next time I go back. I wouldn’t ever go to another Endodontist. Dr Rudd is the ONLY person I trust to do a root canal or any other major procedure. If you want it don’t right the first time then he’s the man to see.

I was experiencing a lot of pain and went in to see my regular dentist. Around 4:45pm, he determined that I needed a previous root canal re-done (original was done over 15 years ago in another state). Dr Rudd and his staff agreed to stay until I arrived at their office around 5:00pm. He and his assistant, Christy, were incredibly efficient and helpful. He identified the missed canal and corrected my problem. I left their office at 6:30pm with just minor discomfort that was gone the next morning. Highly recommend!

Came in today to have my boyfriend get two root canals. The staff was super friendly and willing to chat with me while I waited which was nice. I especially enjoyed Christy our dental assistant. Dr. Rudd took me at the last minute for an emergency root canal treatment. The other Doctor I was working with wanted me to wait 4 days which was not going to be possible due to the pain I was experiencing.Dr. Rudds staff is wonderful and they did everything they could to fit me in at the last minute and take great care of me. Im writing this review 6 hours after a root canal retreatment, Im pain free (relatively, its still a root canal haha, but the tooth pain is gone) and ready to use the chompers for whatever meal strikes my fancy. Sincerely, Dr Rudd and Christy (the phenomenal assistant) were an expert team that not only took the stress out of the dental visit but had an almost intuitive way of communicating key parts of the procedure to keep me as the patient comfortable and informed. The procedure itself was practically painless and quick, which is always a welcome relief. Dr Rudd took the time to explain a revolutionary technology that his offices use (called Gentle Wave) which employs broad spectrum acoustic energy to break up and flush out the roots which is a far more effective method than normal root canal approaches used at dental offices. Id recommend Dr Rudd and Christy (if youre lucky enough to get her!) for root canals and their re-treatment any day!

Wow. I thought my root canal (on a molar!) was going to be painful.Dr Rudd does an amazing job at making sure youre comfortable and is extremely thorough. The staff is very helpful and friendly, but Im not too sure if Im impressed with this endodontist. My dentist scheduled me an appointment with him because I couldnt wait one more day with how severe my tooth pain was. I was happy that they were able to get me in quick, but when it was time for me to get my procedure done, he wasnt very gentle. I would recommend getting a second opinion, or asking friends and family who they go to. Because after I got my procedure done, I really wished that I would have kept my appointment with the endodontist that my mom went to. Now I know for next time. And yes, I still trust my dentist :)

I was referred to Dr. Rudd for root canal treatment and they were not only able to fit me in the same day but I practically fell asleep during the gentle wave procedure. Great guy and great front desk gals! I am out of pain and happy!

Its been 3 years since Dr. Rudd did my root canal and left me with facial nerve damage. I experience daily pain and numbness in my lower jaw thanks to Dr. Rudds incompetence administering anesthesia. Apparently, he hit & damaged my nerve when he stuck the needle in. Based on my experience, I encourage you to find a different endodontist.

The receptionist was helpful and quick to get me in. Everyone that worked on my mouth were kind, professional, and competent. I would return to Dr Rudd for any future tooth problems.
