Carman and Chris have been extra helpful in dividing a plan for my recovery surgery. Front desk is always polite and my trainer is working well with me. I feel valued as a customer and appreciate all they do.

I’ve been a faithful member for around 10 years. I lived close so convenient. My company will also reimburse cost of membership. When pandemic hit, with pressure from family I decided to stop going but continued to be a member and continued to pay the membership with the hopes that covid will end. After about almost a year I decided it was not worth the $40 cost to continue to go. I went in and talked to the manager about canceling membership. He asked me if I wanted to suspend or cancel. Suspending account sounded great to me so that’s what I did. He did not share with me at that time it would still be an additional fee. Now why would I want to pay a fee for something I wasn’t using? Makes no sense right? First fee hit my account and I just figured partial month payment. It hit the next month so I contacted manager to ask why. That’s when he told me about the fee. He apologized that I was not informed and said he could not refund the first fee but could do the second. I was fine with that. I waited for over a week for refund that never came. Now I’m done. I went in and on same day joined Planet Fitness and canceled Genesis. I canceled in may. In June I got my first partial payment. I told my wife that I’ll bet money next month they will pull another partial fee. Sure enough, it happened today. What makes things even worse is I’m in a process of switching bank accounts so I’m waiting for all of my last charges to clear so I can close account. Do I wait to see if they refund $30 that I feel like I’ve been wrongly charged. I’m supposed to get a return call but it’s already been 45 minutes. I’m going to add that equipment at planet fitness is in better shape. The employees at planet fitness are constantly cleaning that I wonder if they ever stop. For a fraction of the price I feel like I should have switched years ago.

They charged me a yearly fee along with my membership. They called it a maintenance fee or whatever. They overcharged me a small amount of 7 bucks. No biggie. Said Id get the money back on my account. Not only did that not happen, they refused to let me bring my son and charged me double for this month

The facility is always clean, the instructors are great and there is always hot water in the showers!

If you view Genesis solely as a place to exercise and workout, there is no place better. Good variety of equipment and staff does a great job trying to clean things clean and equipment/machines in working order

The group fitness class Power is an incredible 60 minutes of weight lifting for all levels of fitness. Taught by Kate, Barb or Cindy. All 3 are excellent instructors. It’s such an opportune way to get in shape and stay motivated by the team approach to fitness aka the gym family!

The Genesis Health Club facility in Salina has some of the best fitness classes!All of the instructors seem to truly enjoy their work and they give their all. This is clearly demonstrated when you observe their practice and training for the next release of classes. Rigorous exercise, seemingly without stopping for much of a break, but always with a smile on their faces shows their devotion.The enthusiasm and encouragement shown is unmatched in other fitness centers I have been to. Believe it or not this can actually make exercising FUN!!Fight, Centergy, and Power are some of my favorites to attend.I highly recommend trying them out!

I love everything about this club! Been with them for 8 years. It’s a family. They keep track of your progress. Give you advice or pointers, or confidence with compliments! Not a number here because they actually CARE! The machines are great, the atmosphere. The people. I’ll never leave. ❤️

Terrible management i am one of the longest members at the Salina branch. The discord at this fitness center is very disconcerting. Im finishing my training sessions and Im out.

Absolutely LOVE this gym! I was super nervous at first but Alisons training really helped me feel comfortable in no time! I even joined her GROUP RIDE class and its the best! Super happy I joined this gym!

My two favorite classes are Kates fit life class and Cindys power lift classes. Those two instructors are the best!!! Chris Canon is also a huge plus for the club. He does such a fabulous job. I would love to see him as our permanent manager!! Wish you would make that change!!! Even though I have never had a personal trainer I see several that do a great job for their clinics. I have heard great things about Andrew, Alison, and Joe!

I was in Salina for a wedding and chose Genesis for my workout because I was told it has squat racks! The young gal at the front desk was very rude, all she cared about was getting the $15.00 from me for a day pass! $ 15.00 to workout one time! I thought the price was extremely high! No one asked to show me around or if they could help. I walked around from room to room to find the equipment I needed! Only found one squat rack which was a totally different style than I am used to! I was lucky no one was using it! The facility was very warm but seemed clean! The gentleman at the front desk when I left told me to have a nice day! Do not plan on going back should I find myself needing to workout in Salina!

Love this gym and the people in it. Classes are fun and instructors are outstanding. I have seen results from the beginning and it just keeps getting better. Facilities are always clean. I love the fact that when I travel I can go to any club. Keep up the good work Genesis, the best gym in my opinion.

Child care is a wonderful thing to have! I wish there was somewhere more secluded than in the middle of the room where people walk to do hang cleans.

I respect her expertise. She stays current with health and nutrition programs and designed a personal training program that has helped me improve my overall health and fitness.I participate in group fight, groove, and cynergy. The instructors are excellent. They are all energetic and motivating. They make the classes fun! In one year I have improved my endurance, flexibility, and strength. I appreciate the instructors and friendly, helpful staff of the Salina Genesis Health Club!

My favorite class is SPIN with either Andrew and Allison, plus love the daycare and tanning beds! Everyone is nice and always helpful!

It’s 2019. No need to “settle”. Get with the times. Upgrade equipment for an Olympic lift area and maybe indoor 1/2 turf. Bumper plates. Get some lights in there. It’s dark.

I’ve been a member for three years and I’m a fan! The front desk staff is very friendly....especially Kurtis! The Tennis pros are the best, and have been very patient with me as a beginner. There are group fitness classes with enthusiastic trainers to keep you motivated. The only drawback is the amount of time for repairs on equipment. I know their shake machine has been out of order for two or three weeks now, and seriously can’t they buy one quickly? It seems like for all the money we spend ... a new shake maker and repairs on weight machines should happen quicker. That’s my only negative. You won’t regret your time there !

It is a good place to work out and relax and enjoy your stay. The employees are very respectful. The management team is outstanding

They charged me after I have canceled my membership, claimed they lost my cancelation paper work and they could not do anything about it. Fortunately I kept a copy of the cancellation paper, they agreed to pay refund me althouh its taking almost a month to do so.

Definitely the best choice for a gym around here. I tried PF a couple times and just couldn’t keep motivation to go. With genesis being so close to my house it makes it much easier to go.

Do not... I repeat do not let them talk you into signing up with them. It is a terrible idea. They are way too high priced and they alway screw you over in the end. Yes they have a nice facility and it’s clean... blah blah blah. Prolly cause of all the money they screw people over in! Advice if you are medically unable to attend your membership CANCEL your membership and if they don’t let you then go to court! Will never go back. Thank you Genesis for ruining a good portion of my Financial being.

Genesis is my home away from home. The front desk, trainers and other employees are very nice and personable. The equipment is very nice and clean. Locker rooms well kept and spacious. I would recommend this gym if you are in the salina area or just here for a visit!!

Same issue Ive seen and heard before. Girlfriend went in was told a certain rate monthly and wasnt told it was a year contract. In my line of work we normally have to tell people what they are signing up for. We were originally told we were getting a discounted rate from my employer for couples, some kind of VIP pass for a limited time. After finally seeing what she signed we spent two months with Kelsey trying to get it cancelled or at least fixed and she dodged our calls. Finally got ahold of us and said it was taken care of. A month later we get another fee taken out of our account and we tried contacting her with no luck. Had to block charges and then we finally got a call telling us nothing had changed and we needed to make a payment. We told the person on the phone Kelsey had taken care of it and they had no info on this. So we left the block on and tried once again to correct it with no avail. So now we are getting our first letter telling us we owe $1000 for something we got two months out of and were lied to over and over again about a contract and Kelsey taking care of it. Be careful when signing anything because they dont explain it to young impressionable people trying to be healthy. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SIGN OR GIVE ANY FINANCIAL INFO TO THESE PEOPLE THEY DO NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING

The tennis pros are wonderful. They are willing to help every level of tennis players gain knowledge and skills to be better players. The entire Genesis staff is always so friendly from when you walk into the door to when you leave.

Great hours, helpful staff, and easy access to equipment. Tuesday morning spin class is an awesome group #Tuesday!

If you are looking to reach a goal but just not sure you can do it.. I highly recommend the training staff at the Salina Genesis! Each trainer has their specialty and thet truly care and have their clients best interest at heart!

Super nice place with lots of equipment. Staff is awesome too.

Overall experience is great. Facilities are clean and staff is friendly. A few improvements are: leg pads on the leg curl machines (they have been worthless for months and I have been told several months ago the replacements were on order), boxes for box jumps, a couple hard foam rollers and a few more heavy kettlebells.

Apparently no one here knows how to reset the internet wifi router. You cant stream music or workout videos. Its been over 2 months since I first brought it to their attention and not even management cared enough to look into it. I offered to reset router for it but there was just a confused look.Equipment is good though.

Good gym. Attended the gym for 2 weeks or so while travelling for business. Wished the prices for the temporary passes were displayed somewhere (got two different prices for two different occasions/visits).

Great place to make a life style change. The classes are great, there is a nice variety of equipment and the people are always friendly.

Huge parking, semi and trailer friendly, this place is how a gym should be, if I lived here I dont care how much it cost this would be my gym, downsides I would like to see personal shower rooms rather than curtains, nice nice lockers rooms, I would also like to see some powerlifting equipment, so I could do power clean, but god do they have everything, and I mean everything

Genesis has phenomenal group exercise classes and instructors. My favorite classes are Yoga, Group Fight (cardio/martial arts), Centergy (yoga/Pilates), and Yin Yoga (slow-paced yoga/meditation)! Genesis feels very clean, modern, and friendly. I dont use the machines/equipment as much any more, but they have variety. Genesis has yummy smoothies and protein shakes that they make in house!

They are friendly, supportive and encouraging. Kyle Schmit is an awesome trainer

I have asked this Genesis to get bigger Towles the towles they have are small and old with stains on them.They put Ducktape on the torn vinyl on the equipment, instead of replacing the torn vinyl.I told one of the Trainers about a peace of rubber tubing trash that was laying on the ground. Then the trainer just kicked it by a peace of equipment and said he would get it later. One week later I was working out by the same equipment I seen the trash a week earlier and sure enough the trash was still there.They are all about getting your money but not all about spending it on upkeep of the facility .

I visited this location recently and was very impressed. It is refreshing to deal with a super professional and friendly manager.

I love this gym I moved from Topeka to Abilene is in Feburary and I wanted to see how this gym in salina compared to the ones on topeka.I was very satisfied by what I saw the staff is very helpful and friendly they make u feel like u belong there.

I have NEVER been into working out. But after joining the Genesis Health Club in Salina, Kansas I AM COMPLETELY ADDICTED !!!! I also have NEVER been a member of a gym BUUUT this Health Club is way different !!! It is SOOO clean, has EVERY piece of workout equipment imaginable !! Genesis Health Club in Salina made gittin fit, lifting, and improving my overall health a HUGE part of life for me !!!! ITS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!!!!!
