I have read the reviews and I’m actually shocked to hear the majority of them and how terrible their service was. I actually had a good experience from start to finish. I guess the only discrepancy was my doctor told me my glasses would take a week and the woman who helped me pick out my frames told me 2 weeks. That’s about it. Of course I haven’t received my glasses yet but it’s only been 1 week so I’m giving the benefit of the doubt. In fact that is the ONLY reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5. I’m praying I will feel the same way and won’t have to wait as long as others have to get my glasses. So I will say to the staff at The Eye Doctors… I am very grateful for my good experience that I had. I’m praying that you all will do your best to better your service for others as well. I believe if you show the same service you all showed to me you all will be just fine. By the way I got my glasses 1 week to the day so I’ll definitely give The Eye Doctors 5 stars

I was in desperate need of new glasses but didnt have an optometrist, when I seen an advertisement for The EyeDoctors Optometrists. I called and made an appointment which was very quick and easy. I arrived on my appointment date and once again everything was quick and easy. The staff was very personable and friendly. I was very pleased with the cleanliness, equipment and professionalism. The optometrist was very patient with my questions and helped to clarify the symptom and diagnose my condition. I was pleased with my visit and will continue to visit this office as needed.

This place is absolute garbage! Treat their clients absolutely horribly, charge you for things you don’t have done, then when you call they tell you you’re being disrespectful and won’t answer any of your questions. Would not recommend a single person ever visit here for the rest of their lives. Salina would be a lot better if this place was shut down.

If I had a choice I wouldnt even give them any star. I had my exam and ordered new glasses 4 months ago now and STILL WAITING for my 2nd pr. WOW guys! REALLY!! I was calling and checking on status of them wkly for first few months but you get really tired of having to always talk to someone who doesnt know anything. And when you leave message for a call back from someone who does know something no one ever calls. At this point all I want now is my $150.00 that I prepaid for them. Disappointed is not even close to how I feel. DONT GO HERE

New patient! Was able to get my first appointment in a reasonable length of time! But it went horribly down hill from there! Luckily I have had numerous eye exams and knew what to expect because when the did a test to look at my Retina when the tech showed me the pictures made from the test it did not appear to have the full picture…. But she said it was OK! When I saw the Optometrist….. he did say the upper part is missing…. I have an eye condition that this test is necessary for monitoring the conditions and I paid extra for it! He said it would do…. I had to ask that it be redone correctly! Then I had to insist that the optometrist review it with me! They planned on just putting it in my chart!Now….. my NEW glasses / frame is another issue!!! They dropped and got scratched in the middle of my site of vision! They were only a couple months old and I paid extra for them to be scratch resistant….. luckily I had insurance on them!They sent back to the lab and here I am at 3 months later and I still do not have my glasses….. they are saying to not expect them back until maybe 6/22/21!!!!Unfortunately they are the only office that takes my insurance!Thank goodness I will be moving soon and hopefully have a better options for my eye care!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!Everytime I call it take 3 attempts before talking to a person. my contacts have been on back order for more than a month.a was give a single 5 day sample and told to get by with my glasses until they come in.I was told my contacts arrived and went to receive them. it was my left eye only. and will be another month before my right is gets shipped in. unbelievably poor customer service, problem solving, and all around experience. I suppose thats what you can expect from a franchise. Dont waste your time or money at this place. Go to a trusted private practice even if it takes you longer to get in.

I went in for my appointment today and they said they didn’t have me on there schedule when they were the ones who set it and they even sent me a text reminder like they always do but I still “wasn’t” on there schedule today. This has been my doctor for years now and I told the receptionist I missed work for this and they still wouldn’t take me in. She asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I said “for what so I can miss work show up again for you guys to tell me I’m not on the schedule again” mistakes happen I get it but I’ve been going there for years and I had to miss work, they still could have helped if they wanted too. Will be switching doctors.

Worst experience ever. Had to post complaint on their web site. Equipment didn’t work and doctor didn’t explain anything. Had to have call from him after complaining. I’m Medicare patient and had eyes dilated first time ever. So then snotty young blonde sees me pull out my fave KTe Spade frames gifted me by my son and proceeds to tell me it will be $504 for lenses only and the offer “express”. Wow. I can’t see and you expect me to pick out frames so you can “win” an incentive trip on Luxotica? Never going back there ever. Bed bad bad.

I will first off say, the staff has always been very friendly; however, it has been the worst experience getting eye glasses I have ever had. I have told them on multiple occasions that I had vision insurance through my insurance carrier, but every single time I talked to them I had to repeat myself. My insurance carrier even called them and confirmed my coverage, but for some reason they still couldnt find it each time I went in. I called for multiple weeks and left voicemails to get in to be fitted for glasses and never got a returned call. Finally got an appointment scheduled, only to be told AGAIN that they couldnt find my insurance. I finally had to send over a piece of paper that states my coverage, and I was quoted a certain amount of my glasses after insurance. Once they got my glasses in, I went to pick them up and they told me it would be over $500 to get them! This was more than the amount that I was even quoted for the glasses WITHOUT insurance! They finally gave me the glasses at the rate that I was quoted after my insurance. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. Like I mentioned, their staff was always friendly to me but their lack of consistency, notation, and that no-one ever knows what is going on is the reason that I will not be returning.

Called in the morning to make an evening appointment to place an order for new glasses. Office staff said they would be too busy to help us and we could not come in. They did not care that all information has already been documented, and that we only wanted to come in to make a decision between 2 frames. First visit, no one helped us until they were ready to run out at closing time. Rotten customer service! Luckily there are many other optometry shops that welcome business.

Getting fitted for glasses and working with an eye specialist is simple and easy enough, however, the abysmal billing services has lost our (6 people) business. We have gone here for 6 years, have had the same insurance for 4 years and they always have issues submitting claims to our insurance. Recently we have been billed the portion that our insurance covers for 4 months now. Every time we call the EyeDoctors they say they will look into it but they never resolve the issue. They finally said they submitted the claim and that our insurance needs more information. I called our insurance provider and they verified that they never received a claim. We called EyeDoctors and gave them the address that they need to send the claim to. Lets see what excuse they come up with next month if its not submitted. We have cancelled all appointments and have taken our business elsewhere.

The main receptionist is great. The rest of the office staff are horrible. My Dr. was really nice. I just can deal with the front staff for appointments. Bad customer service! My appointment was canceled 3 times, I was not notified until I got to the office. I had already taken time off for work .Same things happened with my daughter.I in switched my services to Salina Family Eye Care. They have been amazing!!

Just wish they cared a little more and wouldn’t over book patients when they do not have the appropriate number of doctors. Doctor I saw the first time was nice but they screwed up my script for my contacts luckily I had my glasses as back up.. the doctor I saw at this pst visit was short and you could tell he was rushed. The tech that assisted me was entirely amazing and the only reason I will consider going back. Truly just wish the customer service from the doctors was Better after all they are who I’m paying to talk to.

The doctors are very professional and knowledgeable. They have good prices and a nice selection. However, there is always a long wait time, both before and after you see the doctor. Maybe too many patients scheduled too close together or not enough staff up front, Im not sure but there is always a very long wait time. Especially when picking up your glasses. They seem to have new staff every time we go in. Maybe thats why it takes so long.

Just go to Walmart... walmart gives you contact and glasses exam with a trial pair on contacts included for close to $100..I told these people what I had and what worked for me and they convinced me to try a pair that would be more cost effective but yet charged me $55 for the trial pair. Walmart does all of that included in the price. Blue cross and blue shield insurance

I waited two months and ten days for a pair of glasses. I called at least three times and left a messages but calls were not returned. The staff was nice but never offered anything more than apologies. Also the office has a terrible odor.

If I could give them no stars I would. I took my glasses in to get screws replaced. I waited 25 minutes, was late back to work, and had to sign a waiver that I couldn’t read. ( no glasses) I got them back warm and threw them on my face and left. When I got to work, I had sharp screws sticking out on the side that was supposed to be fixed and the side that didn’t need fixed, it was melted and the LENSE WAS MELTED. I thought it was a smudge and tried to get it off. I went back and the basically told me that it was never in the warmer but when I said I got them back warm I was told I couldn’t prove that they were the ones who ruined them. Never will I go back. Thanks for ruining my Calvin Klein glasses and not fixing them 👌🏼

Doctor was good, everythiNg else is terrible. It took two months to get a trial pair of contacts (before COVID)!! PAID AND ORDERED CON TACTS OVER MONTHS AGO AND STILL DONT HAVE CONTACTS! Just called again to check and still wont have contacts for at least three more weeks!!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I went to this place to purchase frames. I saw countless people come after me. Some were for exams, but the ones that werent got in one after another while I had been wating. I saw 4 girls go to a room and not come out. 2 of them finally came out and sat at the reception area. They didnt even ask what I was waiting for. The frames are much cheaper, but not worth the aggravation!

This place is absolutely ridiculous. First of all, not one single employee acts like they have any idea whats going on. To me, this is very troublesome when some of the employees, not the doctor, do some of the tests prior to your exam. Are the results correct? Who knows! Second, they do not do their glasses lenses in-house. They send them to a place in St. Louis and tell you it will take two weeks to get them back. Thank goodness its xmas vacation because what are my kids supposed to do without their glasses for two, now going on three, weeks. I wouldnt even attempt to drive without my glasses. What do they expect people to do for that long? Third, I just called the office and their glassed have been in and no one bothered to call me. Next year, we will be going anywhere but this place.

Not pleased with this office. I waited over 15 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen, the staff was nice but didnt have a clue what they were doing. They told me that my contacts would come in last Thursday, and I still have not gotten any notification that they arrived.My fiance was told at his appointment that his insurance was going to cover his materials 100% and is now getting charged almost $300 for contacts that were supposed to be free. He also had to wait over a month to receive the wrong contacts!

I was not thrilled! I came here because they accept my eye care insurance, but honestly, I will go elsewhere and pay out of pocket! The eye dr himself was great! Easy to work with and thorough. The front desk staff was the sweetest and most helpful. The rest of the staff is what will keep me away. They are not helpful or professional. They were rude and made comments such as, “ well I’ve been doing this for a lot of years so I know what I’m talking about.” I waited over 3 weeks for my trial pair of contacts to come in. I finally called to check on the status, she said “oh I just checked, they are here.” So I’ve been rewearing my same dailies for how much longer because no one bothered to call and let me know they were there to be picked up?! I ended up calling to cancel my glasses purchase because they billed my insurance incorrectly and then talked down to me as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. I will not be going back, ever. I’ve been seeing eye drs for over 20 years and this was by far my worst experience.

The front desk has one girl who is very nice and does her jobs very well and another Im not sure about. After being told Ive paid everything off the FIRST time after a full exam... then I come in to pick up my contacts and get told I have a outstanding balance!?!? The girl at the front desk is confused and tells me it cant be right and says she will fix it... I call in to get a torn contact replace and Im told I have outstanding balance .....!its a different amount..... when someone tries to pay there bill off immediately and you forget to tack on some extra fees this isnt the fault of the patient, Im not impressed.... this office needs to get organized. The examination was i was given was quick and my contacts given me headaches.... I was given an appt. days later and couldnt make it.

I only went here for glasses, not an eye exam, but my experience was outstanding. Erika helped me find frames and worked with me to get everything I needed. They have a large selection of good quality brands. I ended up getting a pair of designer glasses and sunglasses for under $500 total, after insurance and an awesome 50% off sale that is running until 3/31/18. (I was quoted $800 at another place for just one pair of glasses because my vision is awful). Most eye places will try to charge you for all of the most expensive features and you have to ask them to remove stuff to get the price down, but Erika gave me options along the way and didnt make me feel bad about not getting the most expensive options. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for glasses in the Salina area. It will take 2 weeks for the glasses to come in, but thats pretty standard from my experience ordering glasses. They are also the only place to buy glasses that I have found that accepts Eye Med insurance.

I was very unsatissfied with my visit. 1st, no one knew which doctor I was supposed to see. I scheduled my appointment online. 2nd, the doctor very obviously didn’t want to be there that day. 3rd, they did not have a trial pair of contacts for me so they said they would order some. They also went ahead and had me pay for a 6 month supply so that when we determined the right prescription they could just order them. Well instead of ordering trials they ordered the 6 month supply. So I had to take those in and they then ordered trials. Trials came in a week later and they said they would call in a week to see how they were. Waited 2 weeks, no phone call. I finally went in and picked up my previously ordered 6 month supply even though they are not the right prescription. Very unhappy customer.

Its an okay place but I hate how they take a million years it seems like just to get in after Ive already checked in and they actually have like zero glasses for selection. Its pretty stupid especially when I have to do what my damn insurance will pay which is like $0.00 but the people are pretty friendly other than taking forever.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.We chose this eye doctor because their hours worked with our schedule seeing as we live out of town. Unfortunately their customer service has been terrible. Last week after receiving notification that our eyewear had arrived, we called to let them know we would be in right before closing to pick them up. After being treated like a bother, we were then lied to about the arrival of our glasses. The employee told us that she had no pick up ready for us that day (April 7th) and I got confirmation today when i called that our glasses were, in fact, delivered to the store on the 5th and ready for pick up that day. I suppose she didnt want to risk us keeping her a few minutes past close. On top of all that, I was left on hold for 56 minutes, and thinking they were very busy and not wanting to get pushed to the end of the call wait, it took me that long to hang up and call back. When I finally did, they answered on the first ring. Turns out, apparently I had been forgotten about, and when i brought it to the employees attention she seemed like she couldnt care less. All in all Id give this place a 0 star rating if I could.

I am an Army Veteran who is disabled from PTSD. Going out in public or being around people especially in a small area sets it off. I was treated like a friend not a client and that made me feel like a human being for the first time in a long while. I recommend them 150%. Anyone who has PTSD will understand the hardship. This is the greatest place to go for people who have PTSD or anyone who wants to be treated professionally, friendly, and respectfuly. They are wonderful people.

Had an appointment set at a certain time they made me set it 2 months ahead of time, then sent me several texts saying to show up early and then when I showed up early and my appointment time came and went and I asked how much longer it was gonna be, they said its only so much after your appointment time. I was like yall made me be here early. I had to take a bus to get there. Had I been there late I would have had to make another appointment! Wouldnt recommend their services at all!
