Yet another complaint,, like everyone elses. My appointment was the end of March, when I selected a replacement wheelchair. The order was submitted to Kaiser who promptly approved 80%, so Medi-Cal was involved. They keep wanting more information, and I wonder why, when this is what NS&M *does*, so they shouldve submitted all the relevant data at the beginning. It is now nearing the end of October, and Im waiting, with phone messages left unanswered, and multiple e-mails ignored. I deserve updates. I need a wheelchair that doesnt give me pressure ulcers, and Im in bed all the time waiting. Not healthy. Im angry and frustrated. Chris Orman & Jayme Adams are supposed to be helping, but I hear crickets. I hope Kaiser doesnt renew their vendor contract. (If you have a complaint and have Kaiser, file one with them, too, so this changes.)

I highly recommend for mobility seating. Everyone was so helpful and did everything to meet my needs. My chair is great and the technician took time to make sure it fit and that I knew how to fully adjust and use it. I couldn’t have been treated better. Now I’m learning to navigate around my houseSe and yard. This will change my life. Thanks to everyone who helped!!!

Wish I could say I have had a good experience after leaving Numotion for here, but its just more of the same. I ordered a new chair back in March and was told it would take 8-12 weeks. Here I am in September and they just got my order to my insurance company. Ive expressed my need for power assist with my level of injury and that my current chair is hanging on by a thread, but there is still no sense of urgency being displayed. There has been zero communication without me calling multiple times to get updates. I wish these companies had employees that realized how important these orders are to us disabled people. They are a huge factor in our quality of life and as long as you order from National Seating and Mobility, your quality of life doesnt seem to matter to them. Unfortunately, Numotion isnt any better, so we just have to deal with it. Ive tried applying at these companies too, so I could be part of the solution, but have yet to hear back from them on that too. Kudthere are changes made so we all can. os to those with good experiences. Hopefully,

Hello Sam, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am so sorry to hear about your experience. Please send your contact information to [email protected] so we can learn more. Thank you in advance for helping us do better in the future. In order for the feedback option to work, youd actually have to liiisten to said feedback that has been patiently and politely provided to you by real life people who depend on the services youre supposed to offer 🙃 might as well be shouting into a void.

The people who work here dont listen to the needs of disabled people. They hear what we say, but then do whatever they want anyway. They do whats easiest for them, even if its detrimental to the client. I have been stood up by them for a number of scheduled home visits. No-call, no-show. After reading some of the reviews on here from over the years, it seems that they continue to disregard what we say and offer only platitudes in return. Id be interested in what a real response from them would look like, rather than a copy-paste of a useless email address. I dont want to hear that youre sorry about my experience, I want you to be better at doing your jobs.

National Seating and Mobility has been my DME provider for several years, and dealing with them has always been an incredibly frustrating experience. My most recent battle, however, is the final straw for me. Keep in mind, this battle began in February, and its now nearly October. They were supposed to get me a replacement Hoyer lift, and I told them that I need one that has all the same features as the one I have now. They even asked me to send them a photo of the one I have so they could be sure to get the right one. Months later, and after a very close call with my old lift dying and leaving me stuck in bed, I finally got a call that my new lift was ready. When they brought it, however, it was suddenly a completely different kind. (It also didnt work at all, but thats another story.) The one they brought doesnt have all the features I need, and its also HUGE. My apartment isnt very big; the lift barely fits in my bedroom, and its been taking up half of my dining room area for two months. I have been trying for weeks to return it, and I never get a call back. About a week and a half ago, I started leaving messages every single day, and still no one has called me to set up a time for someone to pick it up. Its very much in the way, especially with my roommates working from home due to COVID. This is not the first time Ive had issues getting a hold of them. Of all the times Ive called them over the years, I can count on one hand the number of times they actually picked up. And when I leave messages, it takes a minimum of 1-2 weeks to hear back. With my only two choices being NS&M and Numotion, both of which have similar issues, Im at a loss for what to do.

National Seating and Mobility is a prime example of the concept that disabled people don’t just simply “get services”. That would be too easy and fair, right? Instead, NSM has decided to ignore all bad reviews, refused actual feedback from disabled people telling them that their chairs are falling apart, there is little to no customer service, and they continue to hire and employ workers who clearly have no idea what it is like to be disabled or have an inkling of a sh!t to give for anyone depending on their services. The copy-paste response is clearly indicative that they just don’t care. What’s the point of copying and pasting the exact same response to every person with a complaint? It’s just corporate bull that can barely even be called damage control. If they actually cared, they’d do actually reach out and do something to improve their failing system. They don’t care though as they are a one of two companies in this area, so they have your money and life in their hands. Apparently the only thing disabled people can do is flipflop between them and NuMotion until they get fed up with the one and switch back over to the other for a new fresh round of hell. Do better, NSM. Answer your phones, get doctors orders through in a timely manner, follow up with customers, listen to what they have to say, don’t make assumptions on their needs when you have no idea what they are, oh, and let me reiterate: LISTEN. TO. DISABLED. PEOPLE. --- a ridiculously obvious yet somehow necessary thing to say.

I have been dealing with this company for over 17 years. They are not as big as others but they get things done. They have a very knowledgeable evaluator (Chris) on site. He knows his stuff and really takes time to understand my needs and always gave me multiple options that were honest and really worked best for me. He puts providing products that really work for people above making a quick dirty buck. This is rare to see these days. They also have a top notch technician (Scott) that have been with the company since day one and for few years I also got to know another technician (Ma) who is also skilled person. What is great is they can actually come out to you do most repairs. I would recommend this place highly.

Customer service Lettie comes across rude; been waiting since November to get my daughters chair and unfortunately I couldnt take her snotty attitude anymore and gave her some advice on customer service skills. I also had to educate her on the disabled persons rights and that seem to change her tune a little bit. So instead of working around their schedule, I am going out of my way to pickup the chair so my daughter can have it asap. Waited 6 months, dont want to wait anymore. Owner of this establishment, I suggest you retrain Lettie and tell her that there are plenty of people out there looking for work that know how to come across friendly and compasionate; she definitely needs to either be let go or retrained.

I first entered this place 10/3/2019. I have been lied to, ignored, and been unpleasantly spoken to. My Dr says I NEED a scooter, I say I NEED a scooter. My insurance says they will pay for it. It takes forever to get to anybody over there and I have been told excuse after excuse. People do your job, because I have been doing it for you with all that I have had to research. Beyond not ok. Now this is turning into discrimination to a disabled person.

I was persuaded to switch from Numotion to this company because of the terrible service and wait times for orders, but NS&M has only raised the bar for incompetentance. After being given a 8-12 week estimate to receive my order, I called about the 8/9 week mark to get a status update and they had not even gotten my doctors approval yet! Something that should take a day at max, has taken them 8-9 weeks so far. Now I am most likely going to have to wait another 8-12 weeks for insurance. I was not given any notice of the issues occurring to help move it along quicker and then received a care free attitude when I expressed my frustration. No sense of urgency or responsibility. I am just convinced these wheelchair companies hire the most ignorant people to what disabled life is like.

See updated review.7/30/2019They now have a nifty text program updating you on your repairs. I called yesterday and left a message for Regina. She called back almost immediately and confirmed my chair pick up today. Jeremiah was prompt and courteous. NSM really seems to be focused on continuing to improve their service. Thank you!Original review...the crew here is super helpful. Today Chad made some minor repairs to my chair. He kept making sure I was completely satisfied with each fix. Great customer service!11/17/2018Since I have posted my initial review I have run into the problems others have mentioned. Dont ever try calling them as they dont answer the phone. I have had some success emailing a particular employee. Very frustrating as I have Kaiser and this is the company they use.12/01/18. So once you get in touch with anyone there, GET THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS. They realize that they cant answer the phone fast enough. But emails get returned! Tari Grimes was great at letting me know about a cancellation so I was able to get my chair repaired earlier than scheduled. 👍7/23/2019. They have improved their phone service. You can call them and talk to a real person! Emailing will still work but being able to call is great!!!

My chair cannot go out my front door due to a 2-3 inch ledge. NS did help me with a ramp but that only helps part way so it really is no good to me as I still cannot get my chair outside. My chair keeps falling apart. Screws are always coming out, and knee pads constantly falling off so I am unable to recline which is a very much needed feature for my legs to stay well. here it is 11:30pm and planned on elevating for a while before sleeping, and cant. I could go on forever but wont. Just be careful and shop around if you can before deciding where to go for your chair.

Horrible communication & lack of follow-up! My son is 3 years old & cannot walk due to a brain tumor. He needed a new wheel chair for school back in April .... Their field representative came out early March & held onto my order for a month... well, summer has come & gone... and were starting a new school year with NO Wheel chair STILL. It just seems like maybe they are overloaded with work they lack the ability to follow up with clients & get us taken care of promptly & efficiently.

My client has dealt with this company many times now. When his chair was down, it took them almost 3 months to get it fixed. Thats practically like cutting his legs off and saying, Oh well. We dont know what to tell you. They finally fix his chair, it lasted maybe a single month, and it doesnt work again. He is a mobile guy, going to program, seeing friends, going out... which he cannot do without his powered wheelchair. When we call to talk to people, nobody ever answers. If they do, it might be 1 out of 200 calls. We have left many voicemails and cannot get ahold of anyone. We had an appointment today and they cancelled because a non-urgent part wasnt made correctly, but the other stuff they could have done would have at least made his chair operable. Now he is stuck in bed for who knows how long... again!
