I love Dr. Young. It really is not easy to find a gyno in this area that takes military insurance and is of high quality and expertise plus cares about the patient. I’m my opinion Dr. Young met all of my expectations. Her office staff are also very friendly and professional with excellent knowledge and capability. I suppose the only downside to the practice would be that they do not offer obstetrics as well. I would recommend Dr. Young to any woman looking for a great gynecologist.

Im not sure what I am doing wrong??? My GYN that I had for 20 plus years retired several years ago. She was so wonderful, kind, always present, etc. After much research I selected Dr Young and was very impressed in the beginning, however, now no matter what problems I have, or requests I make I have not seen her in years. I only see Physician Assistant. I will be 70 this year and have GYN issues and have begged to see Dr Young to no avail. I really dont understand it. The PA is very nice but she is in her early 20s and I am very concerned with my recent diagnosis and how to handle it. No matter what they say someone who has had a couple of years experience versus a Licensed seasoned Doctor is just not the same. So frustrated, so depressed, and so upset. I give up

Dr. Young is the ultimate professional that prioritizes patient care. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of care I receive, as well as Dr. Youngs bedside manner. She not only treats me as a patient, but also my daughters. I highly recommend this doctor as well as her office staff.

Went to one visit a couple years ago and was not impressed. There is paid parking only unless you want to walk a half mile and they do not validate. The receptionist was rude when I asked why the co-pay was so high, she said, Because you got medications. Do you want me to discuss the details in front of the whole waiting room? I was floored. I just said, Could you send me the bill? (When the bill came, it was the right co-pay.)Then when I met the Dr. she wasnt much better. No smiles, non-conversational. She made me feel like I was imposing on her time. It was very uncomfortable. Any questions I asked were answered curtly. So, who would go back after all that? Not me!

The OBGYN I had for years moved back to her hometown, so I had to find a new doctor. Dr. Youngs office was recommended to me and I am thankful for my friends recommendation. The patient online portal is really cool. The office ambiance is awesome and the staff is nice and helpful. I met with Dr. Gonzalez for my exam. She was friendly and professional. She answered all of my questions and even discussed the latest episode of, How to Get Away with Murder. Now, thats my kind of doctor! I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Young was my only doctor that talked to me about my depression after my mothers death from breast cancer. Thankfully I got started on antidepressants that helped me through my depression and better manage my mood swings with my PMS struggles. She also swiftly helped resolve my very heavy periods when I was premenopausal with an ablation and I got back to a normal routine with minimal downtime. She and her staff are very good at what they do in a warm, efficient and professional manner. I plan on keeping her as my doctor as long as I can.

I’ve been Dr Young’s patient for the last 18 years. I have 3 daughters that are her patients too. I can’t say enough good things about her as a doctor and as a human being. I’ve recommended her to friends and family many times and everyone always calls me back to thank me for it :).

The only reason Im giving this practice any stars at all is because the nurse practitioner, Tosha Lutchefeld is fantastic - she performed my pelvic exam with the utmost care and could not have been more tuned in and empathetic while I trudged through my medical history of the last year that brought me to the office. If youre looking for a practitioner to perform routine annual exams, she is excellent.Astrid von Walter Gonzalez on the other hand, was the polar opposite. After a cyst showed up on an ultrasound, I was scheduled to have a surgical consult with her. She could not look more like she hated her job and any more disinterested if she tried during my appointment. After a year of chronic every day pelvic pain and painful periods, I felt like I wasnt taken seriously. After telling her the laundry list of symptoms Id been experiencing, she told me it didnt sound like endometriosis and placed me on continuous birth control (which doesnt cure endometriosis or make it disappear, if it is there, it just acts as a symptomatic bandaid). Then, she couldnt even get my name right after I almost fainted in her office. Happy to say I found another physician who took me seriously and after a laparoscopy earlier last week, diagnosed me with endometriosis. If you have chronic pelvic pain issues, look for another doctor who is a specialist. These problems have impacted my daily personal and professional life, and to not be taken seriously and talked to like I was a child was demoralizing. Dr. Gonzalez could use some remediation in bedside manner and education of pelvic disorders - her lack of professionalism and compassion was enough to make me never want to return to this practice again.As others have commented - the receptionists are also pretty rude and act like youre bothering them whether youre checking in/out or trying to schedule an appointment.

This practice started out well. Over the past year, even though I have repeatedly told them I am no longer a patient, I have received endless robo calls and emails marketing cosmetic procedures, etc. that should not be in this groups wheel house.The staff is rude and even started booking appointments I never requested.Be careful in supplying them any personal contact information

Dr. Young is my superhero! She is very patient, informed, and brilliant. Her bedside manner is exceptional and she spends a good amount of time with you whenever you have an appointment. Theres no rushing or pushing you along. She seems to genuinely care and is thoughtful with her recommendations and lays all options on the table. Shes a fibroid expert and recently completed my abdominal myomectomy where she removed 93 fibroids!! Im a very happy patient of hers and have been for many, many years. Her skillset is unmatched

Recommend 100%. The office staff is welcoming, friendly and very professional. Short waiting times, flexible appts and clean practice. I see Dr. Gonzalez and I only have positive things to say about her. She is lovely, she takes the time to seat down with you and cover the pros and cons of the procedures or symptoms. She is not the type of doctor that is rushing through the appt. I had surgery done with her and she was wonderful, even provided a private personal tel number for us to call if we needed help after surgery. It called my attention that on surgery day at Shady Grove Hospital, everybody in the prep and recovery room spoke highly of her. I feel blessed to have Dr. Gonzalez as my GYN and hope she stays in this area for a long time.

I’ve been having issues so I sent her a msg and she had someone call me to set up a televisit right away. I have to say this televisit was way better than in person visit I had here with different provider, and she took her time to listen to all my problems!LOVE Dr young! She is very kind, understanding and just a great dr. I moved to Cali but I still come see her, she just can’t be replaced! I’ve seen other providers at the practice and they are all great as well!
