It was good until Johns Hopkins took over.I recently called, got nurse callback after 5 hours, after calling couple of times. Nurse told me that office will call me back for further direction, never got any call from office. Also their phone scheduling is little wacky. They ask for Pt phone number and DoB, however again you have to tell it to the staff. And they lost record of previous PCR appointments so I have to tell them my kids PCP!

Our family has been going to this practice for the last 13 years and we cannot say enough good things about the doctors and staff. The doctors are so incredibly kind and thorough and take plenty of time with us at each appointment. My kids are so comfortable going there and thats saying a lot when shots are involved! I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Wonderful practice with conscientious, knowledgeable and caring practitioners! We have been with this group since the birth of our daughter in 2007. We couldn’t be happier with the care they have provided our children and our family over the years. We recently experienced a health issue for one of our children. We felt well cared for by each of the providers we interacted with. Everyone is attentive, kind, caring and reassuring. Cannot recommend PCOR highly enough!

We have been patients of Pediatric Care of Rockville since 2006. We couldn’t be happier! With a 10.5 year age range between our kids this practice delivers! We’ve had all the basic childhood illnesses including putting in tubes, tonsillectomy, hernia surgery, RSV, asthma and regular viruses and this practice has been by our side. We are forever grateful to their care and professionalism.

The most mismanaged place you can imagine. Getting a school form or a referral is a major production requiring several weeks and several calls, patient portal submissions, leaving messages that never get answered. Staff, especially the nurses, are rude and do not return calls.Doctors are good though but the whole place is a mess in terms of organization and workflow.

The worst office attention. Its true they never return phone calls.

We have been with PCOR for 11 years since my first was born. I wouldn’t trust any other primary care provider with my kids. The providers are critical thinkers and respect parental input, esp Bridget Conger, ARNP. All specialty referrals have been great doctors too!

We have been with PCOR for 12+ years, from the newborn to tween years. Weve always had positive experiences with the doctors, nurses and office staff. We were impressed with their COVID procedures, both with in-person visits and pivoting to telehealth when appropriate. Their new office is easy to access and has free parking. Cant say enough good things about the practice.

Our daughter has gone to Pediatric Care of Rockville since she was born and they are wonderful. Doctor Cantor is our Pediatrician and she is outstanding. She puts her patients (and their parents) at ease, is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, kind, gentle and an excellent listener.

With both our first and second sons we have had amazing experiences at pediatric care of Rockville from the front desk staff to the nurses to the doctors. We haven’t seen every doctor here but we have seen many, since sick visits are often not with the child’s regular doctor, and we have been very impressed with each and every doctor we have seen. They remember the kids and enjoy engaging with them and are patient and willing to answer all questions that we have had. I would definitely recommend pediatric care of Rockville!

Rude staff that is often impossible to get a hold of. They dont return calls and weve had to follow up several times with them over the years to make them actually send in a prescription or referral. Too many better options in the area.

I have four kids and we have been at PCOR for 15 years. The original doctors (cogeshall, botsford, Lee & NP Bridget Conger (both of the latter who are still there) are incredible doctors. The practice was excellent. However, In the past two years, the practice has rapidly declined. The newer doctors haven’t been as accommodating as the older ones. We were recently out of town and my daughter got a UTI. We called to see if they could prescribe her antibiotics and basically I was left to fend for myself. I was told she can’t prescribe medication to me out of state (which I asked if she could call it into md pharmacy). I would’ve taken my daughter to a clinic on vacation, but I’m in a COVID-19 hotspot with hour if not day- long clinic waits and nor do I want to get near a clinic anyway, obviously. So under the circumstances, my hands were tied and although not customary to provide antibiotics without a physical exam (which anyway they’ve been conducting mostly tele-visits) i was hoping they could do what needed to be done under the circumstances. All she said was “I understand your situation, but you would have to have her seen by a doctor in the state you’re in” even though it would take days and clinics and Er’s are corona Infested.I am older than most of the Drs there being in my fourties and raising 4 kids.I have not only experience with general conditions but mothers instinct when it comes to my kids. I really wish the newer generation of doctors would, on a case by case basis, give us mothers some credit and trust from time to time and take our word and expertise. Don’t underestimate us moms. But unfortunately, the new generation of doctors in this office seem to run on protocol rather than instinct. It’s a shame. I don’t feel I have a doctor for my kids that will think outside the box and care for them with common sense over politics per say. That being said, I may be screwing myself here by limiting appt times for us, but by far, the only worthy and absolute best doctors at this practice are Dr. Lee (who is incredible) and N.P. Bridget Conger who is equal, if not better than any dr there! We will stay with the practice as long as they stay but I really wish the newer doctors were more nurturing and weren’t so afraid of making decisions best for the patient without worrying about the politics or certain fuzzy “regulations” which do or do not exist depending on who you ask. Looking forward to revising my review to a more positive one and hoping these reviews help not only patients but the doctors make better decisions for the future of the practice.

Ive been taking my 3 year old to this practice since she was a newborn, very happy with their care. Whenever she was sick, they were able to fit her in for a sick appointment that same day, and physicians & NP were always very nice, and took their time with us. Quite happy with this group!

Our kids have consistently received amazing care from the doctors at PCOR for the last 15 years. We strongly recommend this practice. New offices. Free parking. Great service.

Good care for our children (and this is coming from a physician). Everyone complains about the paid parking, but every doctor I have in that area of Rockville has paid parking. I always schedule early appointments and I am in and out (and I never have just one kid with me). They respond really fast to portal messages and call me back to talk if needed.

We were recommended this practice by a pediatrician from another state, and have used it for over 6 years, with our 3 children. Weve always been very impressed with the high level of care and compassion shown by the nurses and doctors at this practice.

Having to pay for parking and the wait in the waiting rooms is a little hard with both my very active little ones (4.5 y/o and 2 y/o), and the wait in the office is a little long sometimes (but what doctors office isnt?). That stated, the doctors themselves are wonderful, which is what the review should really be about, granted everything else associated with it counts too, but we go here for the doctors and nurse Jackie. We have been going to PCR since my daughter was discharged from the NICU at Childrens National. Dr. Hawkins was the first doctor I spoke to when my daughter went into a coma and she really assisted us to progress forward to help save my daughters life. Dr. Hawkins checked on us while at Childrens, even though she wasnt our primary, which really shows her level our care. After discharge, we chose Dr. Lee as primary because we are of half Chinese heritage and there are some things we do differant than the American culture we felt only she would understand.Dr. Lee is primary for both my children and my kids are very happy to see her every time. She has a trick for the kids to let her see into their ears, which I actually showed one of the doctors at Childrens for visits my daughter has had in the last couple of years.Weve seen all but two of the doctors and they have all been very kind and knowledgeable. After our move to Quince Orchard, we still make the drive to Rockville to see them. Hope this review helps.

After 6.5 years, multiple moves (we have lived in Virginia for the past 5 years), I am finally breaking up with pediatric care of Rockville. We live in centreville and, on the way to my son’s 15mo check up at 2:30pm in Rockville, found ourselves in dead stop traffic headed East on 66. As soon as I could, I got off and Waze directed us through Herndon and down the toll road to get there and estimated our arrival at 2:48pm. Knowing they have a 15 min grace period I called ahead to inform them that we would be a little late - and that we could be as much as 20 mi it’s late - and asked if it would be an issue. Alex, who answered the phone (she’s new), made it clear to me that they have a strict “15 minutes, not a minute longer” grace period and that if we got there after 2:45 that we would have to reschedule.I pulled into the parking lot (according to the time stamp on the parking ticket) at 2:41. I looked at my cell phone as I walked in and it was 2:44. Still, despite the fact that my 15 month old and I had spent ~90 minutes in the car to get there and we made it there by 2:45, they told me that they could no longer see him but could “fit us in at 3:30pm with a different doctor” - one that we don’t know. Which meant that my child would then need to wait 45 minutes in a waiting room, an hour in the back room and then sit again in the car for minimum two hours to get back home to centreville.I understand having a schedule. And, had I not called at 2pm when I reached Herndon to ensure that driving further would not be a waste of time, I would be a lot more understanding. If you have a grace period, ensure that “all will be Ok if you’re here by 2:45” and then not honor that - that’s really, really crappy. And, you’d think that human decency would kick in somewhere and they’d just “make it work” knowing all of the effort that was made to get there. One thing that was made abundantly clear to me today: my three children, 6.5 years of being a loyal customer, 1.5 hours of driving - just to get there and another 1.5 hours to get home during rush hour - NONE OF IT MATTERS. Because THEY DONT CARE. I even called the office manager when I left to express how incredibly appalled I was that we were thrown off the schedule despite all my efforts to communicate and get there on time and HE DIDNT CARE EITHER.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
