Very poor quality club. Patrons regularly do not wear masks and despite having a section in their contract and being told they would uphold masking in this gym they have not AT ALL. The gym itself is constantly out of towels and has no windows. Overall, not worth it at all.

There is nothing signature about this club. Don’t waste your extra bucks. A regular LA Fitness will do. Everything in this club is old and not well kept and worst of all, the people that frequent this gym are THE WORST! Crazy, dirty people that have ZERO gym etiquette and will NEVER share a machine with you. I have tried again and again and every time i come i have some kind of bad experience. The staff is nice and it isn’t their fault. You have been warned. Stay away.

Great location, clean, and good lighting. The staff is great, and this location has a lot more equipment than other locations to use. This is a signature location, meaning, it cost a little more per month however, they also offer towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion.

The only downside is 1.5 hrs parking permit. And the cable machines have faded numbers. So it makes it harder selecting the appropriate weight.

Overall this location is NOT very clean. My second day there the dressing room was closed and it smelled terrible. I had somewhere to be and was unable to shower after a workout.WATCH OUT FOR THE FITNESS SALE RICHARD R (Fitness sales). - He is very rude, disrespectful and has no boundaries... Needless to say I didnt join the personal training... Better luck next time buddy :)

Love that its 24 hours and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The equipment is great and they keep the place very clean. They offer a lot of extras like hydro massage beds and tanning beds (standing and laying). With the black card membership you can also go to any location you want

My girlfriend and I have been thinking about upgrading our gym memberships since the gyms opened up again after the quarantine. I visited Sport n Health on pike and rose and the manager gave a tour while i will say the gym is beautiful, the manager that showed us around did not seem to care if we signed up or not and was not willing to work with us and made us feel uncomfortable eventually with his cold attitude. We came here to LA Fitness today and the manager Justin was impeccable. We were thoroughly impressed with his attitude and willingness to help, i up tell he really cared about our goals and what we need from a gym. 10/10 I would recommend and ask for JUSTIN!!!

Great gym to come amd work out in. Love all the amenities this establishment has to offer its customers.The Upp keep in this building is a little bit low but thats to be expected in an situation were traffic can be heavy at times. The saunas are an excellent get way from workouts 💪🏼.People are courteous to one another and respectfully understand the 6 ft law thats in place from covid. It makes coming to the gym without question easy and puts the mind a ease knowing the Establishment is well maintained and coupled with the right characters. Thank you guys for being open and sticking it out during the strenuous moments we all have been dealing with during the pandemic. GREAT WORK YOU GUYSS!All around 8-10 on a scale.

Had a personal training session there with Keith B. and he really challenged me like a good trainer should! Everyone there wants to see you succeed and be happy! The staff has expertly dealt with so much on the customer service front both during and post-covid and have gone the extra mile to make sure I’m billed fairly and my contract is adjusted accordingly. The gym also has everything you need and more! A pool, a basketball court, classes, etc.The only thing that would make this gym PeRfeCt would be a little remodel of the showers (they are ok and clean, just a bit dated considering that this is a signature club)

Slimy management—make sure you get every term & condition in writing. They make lots of promises, then turn their backs when it’s time to deliver, and kick you over to Corporate to handle what they should have done in the first place.Pretty gym & looks clean and spacious.

The Gym it self is clean! Two stars.Customer service could be alot better. More hellos and more good byes. Im never greeted but it would be nice to get greeted with a smile. One smile can change your whole entire mood.Why two stars? Well. I had no idea, signing up for this LA Fitness franchise is like buying a car. One gym is charging this price and another gym is charging another price for the exact same membership.Just really bothers me that I have to negotiate my gym memberships now. LA Fitness is looking for every buck.This gym is a signature club and half of the facility is not even fully functioning. Since December - February at least.

From a lifting perspective, good gym. However, they have a huge problem with property theft in the locker rooms. Staff refused to access footage and help track down my stolen goods. (Even if they did show footage, the only cameras in the facility are located at the front desk) They also indicated this has been an ongoing problem and that multiple thefts occurred in the same short timeframe. Although you sign a waiver that indicates LA is not liable for stolen property, you would think the staff would notify members of these incidents and take initiative to prevent this in the future. Highly disappointed in the lack of accountability and willingness to help within staff and security. Its a real shame how these incidents are handled.

I like this gym and it has towels most of the time. The basketball court is nice, the equipment is nice and clean, locker rooms are clean, the staff is always ready to help, and it seems like it has more equipment so you wont have to wait for anything really.

I have been a member here since it opened. Since gyms are at high risk I have been hesitant to return because I am high risk (over 65) I did return today and did not feel safe. Masks are required but when walking around I noticed that some people were wearing their mask under their nose which is NOT acceptable. I spoke with front desk personnel and was told that people were allowed to lower their mask when lifting heavy weights or running etc. So to say the least I had to leave to protect myself.Think twice about exposing yourself to this gym or any gym for that matter.

Closed for 6 months for COVID, unable to call customer service or cancel online, have to stop payment on cc even though company says the will give members complimentary months to make up for closures, then first contact after 5 years of membership is attempt to collect cancelled payment. What a joke - “Signature club” in a leaky basement. Good riddance.

Only been to this location a few times and the parking is pricey the equipment is usually well kept and clean and staff is average. One particular staff member has been extra nice and helpful each of the last 3x I was there. Not sure of her name but its one the female janitors with big hair always smiling and greets me with a few words of encouragement to get me going. Because of that kind of friendly service I will keep coming back as long as the big haired lady is there to give great service as always.

I have visited this signature gym on a few occasions and most of my interaction has been with the staff who maintain the facility. The lady that works during the daytime hours with big curly red hair is always polite and helpful and ensures that the womens locker room is impeccable. The locker room is always clean and if there is an issue she always rectifies the issue expeditiously.

Well, I have to start by saying that I have been a member of this LA Fitness since 2012 with my mother. Honestly, it used to be better. I need to give a good review to who deserves it. So there is a couple of young ladies who do make you feel welcomed coming in like Jasmine A. She is sweet and she is kind and has a very good customer service skills. I am happy she has been hired and I get to make conversation with her.The new GM Jimmy I believe is his name, is also kind and helpful he is also good at de-escalation, I know this because he had to calm me down once because of a bad experience with another Manager Named Rose Friedman. I am not one to get angry or mad because I have been working in legal offices for 6 years, and not many people come into the law offices because they are having a good time, and because of that I have dealt with customers being a lot more than just rude. The point being is that honestly, I do not know how Rose Friedman has a job in customer service. She speaks to clients like they have mental impediments, she spoke to me like I was a child she had to explain something so complicated she couldnt speak normally to me. I also saw her being rude and speaking to other clients in the way she was talking to me. And many do not like her and would agree with me when I say, she is HORRIBLE.Anyhow, Jasmine A. being as sweet as she is and Jimmy being nice and all, they convinced me to stay. I was going to cancel my membership. But why cancel my membership of years over some lady who seems angry about having that job? Pointless.So thank you very much, Jasmine and Jimmy. You guys are awesome!And also dear LA fitness. Yall really need to re-train Rose Friedman on customer service, or keep her away from clients, or fire her. Shes horrible and needs to stop.

One of the better gyms in this area, with full amenities. Sauna, pool, boxing bags, classes, lots of equipment, towel service, water bottle filling stations, you name it.I use the pool area often and its a bit rough around the edges but certainly a great utility. Visual mold and grime in the tile grout, but Im not grossed out by it.You want to avoid the post workday hours of 5-8pm, as the gym is pretty slammed.

Signature-level club meaning they provide towel service. Multi-level gym with good amounts of equipment. Seem to be more equipment maintenance issues than some other gyms Ive been at. Like many gyms, most people understand the code (wiping down used equipment and re-racking weights), but definitely not all.

If I could give < 1 star or negative stars, I would.  My wife and I were members here since 2016.  My wife quit last year because she liked to take the group classes, but the instructor was often a no show or for some other reason theyd be cancelled without notice; shed show up and thered be no class!  This place has gotten worse and worse.  The staff is getting worse and worse.  Management is rude and unfriendly.  The desk staff for the most part just want to look at their phones and could care less who comes or goes.I found out the club reopened in late June because all of a sudden my credit card started getting charged, for part of June and then all of July.  Never mind the fact theyd charged me for all of March and they shut down in mid-March.  I never got any communication from LA Fitness that the club was reopening.  First thing I did was go in and cancel my membership.  This took 40 minutes and the manager Rose told me Id only be refunded the July portion and to get June back Id have to call LA Fitness national number.  Id already tried calling that number for weeks and could never get through.After several days went by, I still had not received a refund.  I again went to LA Fitness to ask about it.  The person at the front desk didnt know and Rose, the manager, overhead and rudely exclaimed, I told him 5 to 7 days for the refund!.After 10 days had gone by and still no refund I tried again to call the LA Fitness national number.  I sat on the phone for several hours.  I finally got through to someone.  After explaining the situation to them I was able to get refunds for June and July processed within 24 hours!  They also told me they had never been instructed by the LA Fitenss in Rockville to refund me!I offered to share with LA Fitness our experience with the Rockville facility, since weve been members since 2016.  They werent interested in my feedback.  That is a shame.  I hope LA Fitness wakes up and does something about this place.  I have been to other LA Fitnesses; one in Florida and it was much much cleaner and friendlier.  This place has serious problems that need to be addressed.All I can say is, this place has been and still is frequently filthy.  The showers were almost always moldy, with dirty curtains, hair on the floor and walls, dirty paper towels and cloth towels.  The bathrooms in the mens locker room often stink of urine.  This is supposed to be a Signature Club and we pay extra for that each month.  That means things like towels and soap and moisturizer.  50% of the time there were no towels available when Id arrive, showers wouldnt have any shampoo, the moisturizer/lotion was always out of stock.  The swimming pool was closed for months multiple times.  The gym closed down unannounced for leaking several times; we were never given any kind of refund or prorated fee.  The air conditioner broke during several Summers for multiple days up to a week and working out in the place became dangerous due to the extreme heat.  Nothing ever seems to get fixed there quickly.  They just dont care.  We used to have a machine that would dry out your swimsuit in the mens locker room.  It broke and they put a sign on it for almost a year and then one day I came in and it had been removed!Last November (2019), the day before Thanksgiving, after working out, I found foul smelling standing water in the showers and bathrooms in the Mens locker room.  It was disgusting; guys were having to wade in bare feet through it.  It smelled like a mix of sewage and water from backed up drains.  I left without showering and went to the front desk.  The young lady at the front desk was blissfully unaware and busy on her cell phone.  I told her about the fetid water pooling all over the mens locker room.  She smiled and said oh ok.  I drove 40 minutes to work drenched in sweat and had to use a bathroom shower there.They are now charging people the full Signature Club price to use a gym where the swimming pool is still closed, the showers are closed; theres no towels.

Inconsistent. Can be low on towels at times. Things can get very dirty at times. Can get very crowded at times. Repairs are rarely done on a timely manner. Supposed to be a Signature gym, but Ive been to regular LA Fitness gyms that have been much cleaner and much more well equipped. The management and staff keeps changing and it is not good.

The operations manager at this facility is super rude! I’ve seen the way she talks to both her employees and customers as if they were 5 years old. I don’t understand how she has a job in customer service when she lacks respect towards people that she manages and people she’s supposed to assist.

This is one of the best LA Fitness Ive been to. I can tell that the employees and members care about the gym. The bathrooms and showers are well kept. Weights and bars are always in place. And Ive never been in the gym when its too busy. I highly recommend this LA Fitness.

I am beginning to think its management and not the staff because the original staff must have been let go for quite some time and new faces are there now. Rose and Lisa are rude. The front desk never seems to have towels folded. And they are not friendly when you walk in. I will be taking my concerns to corporate. The Copely location is not signature but they really make you feel welcomed.

However, during this period I noticed excellent improvements. I am thankful the gym administrations especially the manager took my concerns and made a change. ThanksOld review:The worst experience at a gym.I have been in this gym for three years now as a family member. I use the pool and jacozzi but today on Tuesday, April 23 at 9:00pm when I entered, I smelled a huge quantity of chlorine and for the first times my eyes are burning right away without even entering the pool ( I had a surgery for my left eye one year ago) and I looked for the lifeguard but I didn’t find one. I saw three dehumidifiers & an air blower but unfortunately one of the dehumidifier and the air blower were not working , I saw dirt in and around the jacuzzi and even though my friend cleaned it, I couldn’t stay in the jacuzzi because my eyes are burning. I stayed only 10 minutes and left the pool area. I scheduled an upcoming eye appointment, but if there are any damages to my eyes, I hold you responsible for it.I want the gym to request a health department specialist to look at the pool area and measure the chlorine levels because this is not acceptable. Just to tell you I am a chemist and I know the side effects of high chlorine dose in addition to that my friend had severe skin itching.

Ive never had a problem here. I like it because its not that crowded. The one in downtown silver spring should be called Club LA Fitness. I want a quiet gym where I can just sit there and figure out the machines and not be bothered. But the members there have been nice enough to help when I look utterly lost. I dont have any experience with the pool. I took a couple of classes and they were good. They opened up a juice bar thats nice. Its convenient because you can prepay and not carry your wallet or purse every time. The reception is a problem, if youre trying to stream music or watch an instruction video. Also, I always see the courts full for basketball....could be a good thing or a bad thing.

The girl at the front desk (blonde hair) is rude. She gets irritated and tries to ignore you even if your standing in front of her. I asked her to tell me were the locker room is and wr the yoga was held she gave me a short answer looking at her screen. The club has really taken a turn for the better since the new manager started a few months ago(I think in January 2018?). Since then, she has taken multiple measures to make sure the club is improving. She takes complaints seriously and always listens to members.

Currently hating it. The staff is nice and friendly when trying to sign you up for a membership. I remember them calling me 2 or 3 times a day to come back in - even on Sundays. Now Ive been a member for a few months and the club is just going down the drain. Dont get me wrong, they have nice large new facilities. Towels, electronic lockers (no lock needed, just a combo), and pool. The problem is that recently there are no towels, half of the electronic lockers dont work (forcing members to leave stuff unlocked) and the pool was closed for a while for some unknown reason. To make it worse my billing is wrong and no matter how many times I try to fix it I get NO response. Its the classic bait and switch - treat em great when trying to sign them up and them provide no customer service. The cleanliness has also become an issue and it is obvious that this place is understaffed from front desk staff to cleaning staff. Not to mention the front desk staff changes every week and has no clue whats going on. The owner of this gym should worry, this place is falling apart fast. I would think twice about joining this gym - find a place thats nice AND properly maintained.

If I could give a minus rating, I will. After you sign a contract, you will find they dont care about their customers at all!! AND its absolutely not a safe place to work out in terms of belongings safety. You can lock your stuff in the locker and then still have things stolen, thats absolutely crazy! I went there last Saturday. They were remodelling their place while there were a lot of unknown contractors coming in and out. I locked my stuff in the locker and then all my cash was gone when I came back after finishing my workout. Talked to the general manager, BUT they said they cannot do nothing about it! NOTHING! When they are in such a situation, they should do something better to keep a safe environment. BUT they just said its all customers responsibility for losing their belongings and its none of their business for customers loss. Come On! Even you cannot do something to make things up, at least be nice to try to make customers. I locked the locker and did everything I can to protect my stuff but things still gone. Who wants to work out in this kind of environment. You dont even know who might steal your stuff when you are working out! I would not recommend this place to anyone due to their carelessness to their customers! They will promise everything to earn your membership and then do nothing after you signed up. Shame on them!

Don’t sign up here. I signed up thinking I would only pay $25 a month, they have been charging me $50 a month for 6 months now. I have been trying to get it corrected and cancel my membership but when you talk to the manager, Chris (who sold me the membership) says he cannot do anything about it. They told me to call corporate but nobody answers. I have been emailing and again there have been no response. Its also dirty and gets crowded. All the employees are lazy and do not clean or want to help. It’s frustrating, don’t waste your money.

I made up my mind to join LA Fitness (Rockville), but decided to tour it and use a free pass before making any sort of commitment. I am so glad that I did that! The layout is spacious and there appeared to be plenty of equipment, but nothing about the facility really stood out. The man that showed me around the gym highlighted the weights, machines, and cardio equipment and which body parts they worked. I thought this was strange because I didnt ask him to do that, nor did he take the time to inquire about my own personal fitness knowledge. Although he was kind, I didnt feel like he listened to me and that he was going through his own sales script. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of his young age.Since I visited the gym during a holiday weekend, I wanted to know the holiday hours because I had planned to use the free pass the very next day. When I went to the front desk and verbally asked about the holiday hours, I was left standing there to read a flyer that was positioned on the front desk counter. The young lady at the front desk was not doing anything and couldve answered my question and/or engaged in some sort of conversation. Isnt that her job (or one of her responsibilities)? I left the gym feeling like there needs to more customer service training for their employees.I went directly across the street to check out another gym. Again, Im glad that I toured LA Fitness (Rockville) because I now know that I DO NOT want to become a member and advise others that they should also look at other nearby gyms before wasting your money here!

Very poor customer service , I have vip account and 14 days guest pass , but for my guest they asked 20$ pass fee even I have never used gust pass service before , very dirty place and low class customer service , don’t waste your time by even stepping in this location , one African -American lady sitting in administration role for subscription, was laughing entire time when I was trying to solve issue , by my short vocabulary because I was so stressed out , manager Chris was very rude and disrespectful, it is funny I have had subscription month ago and didn’t use this gym because pool wasn’t ready even they told me it will be ready in a week , I had guest we wanted to workout, they made a drama just to be able to charge extra money , I’ll elevate this issue to upper management, but people don’t get into the trick by signing to thisI came down to different LA fitness location and without any issue they proceed process for my guest , it means these low customer service skilled people wanted to charge something extra for non sense , I believe corporate gonna take it under consideration

Very nice facility, nice suburban area. Whole Foods, Starbucks, and restaurant right there. Entrance off the parking garage. The club is new and clean, as is all the equipment. The pool sparkles. They sometimes dont give adequate notice of class cancellation, and the pool has been closed several times for service, but in general I think its a great club for a very reasonable fee.

If you are a la fitness and not a member of this particular location expect to pay an extra $5 for each visit you make to this facility. Guess what ? Pool is under repair. The toilets smells really really really bad. And the basket court is always occupied by players playing 4x4 games. Can someone tell me why is it called signature? I’m lost here!!!

Pros: It is good for an la fitness. Enough machines (cardio and weights) to get things done. Towels. There is only garage parking and first 2 hours are free..but go over 2 minites and you are paying $7 to park. Would never go back here due to that. The facility is nice but being a signature club becuase you provide towels, body wash, shampoo n conditioner isnt worth extra expense. LA fitness on Bel Pre is nice and you arent limited on the time to exercise

The facility is pretty nice, although it doesnt seem any different from a normal LA Fitness (this one is a Signature). Never too crowded when I go after work. Sales team called me on my cell / work number about five times to ask if I wanted to sign up for a membership even after I signed my contract (?). You cant watch TVs on the cardio machines as youre four floors underground and there is no reception (bummer). Parking is free for two hours.

Would have been nice to get an email or phone call notifying members that the gym will be closed for the next 3 weeks, instead of finding out by checking the class schedule. Perhaps paying members should expect less from this facility?

I have just received a call from one of the staff that just hung up on me. I confirm what other people say,. After you sign your contract, they dont care about you anymore!I am not sure why ti is called signature, it smells like urine in the bathroom constantly and the towels are never ready or clean.If you have another option, take the other option.

Gym is fine. Parking is awful theres a fee for over two hours and it goes up $1 each year. I think there should not be a parking fee for gym which you pay a monthly fee to go to. Should be included for members. This is the only gym I know of that charges to park.

Dont expect a lot. It can take over a week to repair equipment, the ceiling leaks twice a year. Locker room is OK, showers can get mold, pool is nice for lap swimming.

It has all the necessities for a gym. However it is becoming progressively more and more crowded. There are times you may have to skip an entire excersice because theres always someone on a specific machine. No issues w staff. In summary, they may want to consider expanding

They gym is fairly new as LA Fitness built this club in new shopping center aboit 2 years ago. They just remodeled a lot of the club recently. It has high traffic, but they keep up with cleaning in my opinion. Juice bar is nice addition.

They shut down for about a month (Oct - Nov 2017) due to flooding and did not notify their customers. They acted like I was stupid for showing up, not knowing they were closed, and then were rude when I asked questions about it. They also would not provide a discount to members for the month they were closed. They said I could use other locations even though I pay only for this location. Not like I wanted to drive 30 minutes to go to another LA Fitness. On Dec. 9, they closed AGAIN due to a water main break. No email. No notification. You just have to figure it out by showing up in your gym clothes. No discount.

Very dirty and has no wet wipes to clean. The dry paper towels don’t retain the cleaning product. The yoga room is filthy and doesn’t have cleaning products in there.

Disclaimer: This is just from 1 guys perspective and I am not a little prissy princess where I will throw a fit if things are not pristine or if I have to walk to the front desk to request more towels, etc - also: my visit consisted of going to the locker room to change, doing my workout, back to the locker room and home. I did not use the basketball court or the sauna or the pool. I will say that the facilities are nice (especially when you compare it to the Ellicott City location). The only thing I will say for those of you that live on your phones - the reception is really crappy (in case you like to stream music or are waiting on an important call/message). Also: there is two hours free parking and after that you have to pay - just a statement/observation.

This is a great gym. You get what you pay for in it being a chain gym at a “budget” price per month. I spend a little over 1 dollar per day to come here which is very affordable in my mind. Keep in mind this is not an elite or hoity toity facility with deluxe amenities. It is a big box gym.Generally there is enough equipment to not have long waits, but once it fills up it gets a little stuffy and cramped. I will comment that most of the front desk staff need to be a little more attentive and kind to entering patrons. I’ve been coming for around 6 months, and I have had maybe 2-3 of the 6-8 front desk employees address on any level. I worked at a large gym in a customer service role, and patrons loved the interaction. It gives those paying to use the facility an extra boost when the staff recognizes you coming in regularly and interacts with you.

Overall good gym with plenty of equipment. Would rate it higher, but has a couple of things holding it back. It is located in the basement with no natural light and has recurring moisture issues on rainy days...so can be a bit stuffy. Also, for some reason, they seem to have trouble keeping up with the demand for towels and too frequently I have had to start my workout without a towel.

Why is the club closed until 2/16/2015? Whats the reason, what happened? For gods sake...the least you can do is put a recording on your phone system so when people call it will inform them. I was shocked to see la fitness rockville website actually had a posting that the club was closed. Since its closed for a week I can only assume that all members will receive a 1/4 refund for their monthly membership right? Yep...I think that sounds fair.
