Horrible customer service! Don’t get a membership at this gym

Easy to get signed up and the staff have always helped me while I was there, the equipment is great for a 24hr gym

I was in search of a new type of gym, at the time I was going to one of those top of the line expensive gyms. Then I came across Anytime Fitness, went in to learn more about the place and what it was about. That’s where I met Natasha, I must say she was the most help person I’ve ever encountered. She answered all my questions showed me around the location (Not to mention the new expansion) and was very kind and welcoming. The best part was the price, they have in my opinion the best bang for your buck. I would highly recommend giving them a try, between the friendly staff and the gym being accessible 24/7 I think I made the best move for my health journey.

This is a very nice little gym where you can workout without many distractions. It is open 24 hours so you can come anytime. The equipment is good and intact with a lot of selection. The trainers know what they are talking about and are very fit themselves. I would recommend working out here if you have the option.

Love this place! 24 hours, great equipment and incredible staff. Always there to help or teach. Nathan is the best trainer you will ever find. I have trained with him for over 7 yrs and I have referred 6 clients and they all love him. He caters the workouts so it’s customized to fit your specific needs and goals. Whether short term or long term goals.If u need a convenient accessible gym with state of the art equipment or if u need personal training, you must ask for Nathan Kerrigan. You will not be disappointed.

Knowledgeable trainers! Great location! The best thing is that it’s open 24 hours! I have been a member at other gyms but I like Anytime Fitness because of the staff and location!! I recommend all of my friends to either train with Nathan or Luke!! 👍

Nice quiet gym with no distractions so you can focus on you ! The manager , Natasha , is super sweet & energetic . She makes sure the place is taken care of . She’s also an amazing trainer & looks out for the members . Mike Sarni is also at this location ! He’s a super experienced & knowledgeable personal trainer and strength coach. This location also has a squat rack , deadlift bar , and soon to have power bars & more equipment once renovation is complete . Not easy to find for a 24hr location 😉

This gym is not up to standards. First thing that bothered me was there was no lock on the door, I just walked in and nobody said anything. I didnt have to scan my fob the door was just open. This location also lacks some key equipment such as a squat rack (they do have a smith machine though). Equipment was also very poorly cared for and cleanliness is also an issue. I would avoid this location

We put our membership on hold during the pandemic.Today we get notice that we are in collection for the remaining10 months on the membership. NO WARNING!

When I went to take membership at this location the staff who signed me up told me it was month to month and I can cancel at anytime. The staff since has left and when I requested that I wanted to cancel my membership I was told that its a 18 month membership. I asked for a copy of the signed contract and was given one which was forged and doesnt even have my signature on it just a scribble. I was also pressurized into signing up for personal training and paid an additional $300 to the owner. I asked him back for the money and he never responds to my emails or text. The entire contract was forged I signed something different and now I am shown a forged contract. I also asked that my account be frozen for 3 months but I still got charged. I am living in the area till Feb19 and would be moving why would I sign a 18 month contract. I took membership at this gym in Feb 2018. I have resorted to legal measures to resolve this issue.

Small no good equipment

Just recently joined the gym and the hours for me; works great! Theres new staff, new management, more trainers. Gym smells clean. When I call they answer promptly. Im really happy with service. It fits my schedule.

This gym is great! Awesome trainers,nice equipment,and all the advice and support you can ask for as you work to your fitness goal! Highly recommend.

Terrible customer service. I tried their 1 week trial and went to cancel it but they already sent off my contract so it was active even though I returned the key fob. I got a call from the debt collector and was charged even after I explained to them that I do not utilize their services. No wonder they have to go through a third party debt collector, they wouldnt make money otherwise. Youre better off going to LA fitness, which is cheaper, more spacious, and has more equipment. I should have paid attention to the bad reviews before even stepping foot into this place.

I think this gym would be good for someone who works odd hours. However, for the rest of us, there are cheaper and higher quality gyms out there. I joined with the understanding of a free one month trial back in February 2016 and then, if I liked it, I could join their gym. So I signed a piece of paper only to find out a week later that it was an 18 month contract. The number 18 was written in by hand, I dont remember there being one when I read the contract. I actually found a different gym with a sauna, pool, lots of equipment, and a basketball court for $10 LESS A MONTH! But now I was stuck with this one. I contacted the owner - Nathan Kerrigan - asking to cancel the membership with an early termination fee. No way. Their policies make it near impossible to quit. You either have to move somewhere thats further than 15 miles from an Anytime Fitness (and prove it) or lose a limb. So for 18 months now Ive been paying $40/month plus the bi-annual fee of $89 for gym upgrades (I think its their bonuses). I do not recommend this gym and do not attempt to reason with the owner - Nathan Kerrigan.

This is a great gym! Absolutely no issues here. I dont understand the people on here complaining about the equipment . It has got everything and there is never a wait for anything.The staff here is always willing to help out and recommend things. When I signed up, I was hitting a plateau. Nate took it upon himself to change my routine and bam! I got in much better shape.And as somebody who has to travel a lot, after 30 days your membership works at other Anytimes. I never have to use crummy hotel gyms again and can continue to get good workouts on the road.This is a great product. Its not the gym that matters its what you do in it. And this has got everything you need and more.

Great customer service. The owner was a genuinely nice man. Had a totally opposite experience at a different Anytime Fitness. I would recommend joining this gym!

I usually dont post bad reviews on anytime fitness. But, this was bad. Gym was nasty, I mean just not clean at all. Then NO RACK AT ALL. Smith machine is not a rack! I know ya have to accommodate the cardio bunnies, thats what obviously goes there daily. But for those who really train and lift, ya gotta have a rack! Squat, bench, etc. I wont be back there. Location was good, and convenient but thats it. I did see the movable rack I couldve used for bench, but once again, not good for someone that pushes alot of weight. Ya need a real rack in there for your lifters, not everyone wants a treadmill and machine weights. Good luck.

I have lived in Rockville for over 20 years and have been a member of nearly every gym in the area, from Lifetime to Golds and Fitness First (when it was around). Time and time again I find myself not able to identify any gym that compares to the level of comradery and goal oriented focus that Anytime Rockville fosters. You dont just scan you key card and get welcomed by a corporate drone, nearly all the trainers will know your name, help you achieve your goals and work to accommodate you without the barriers that exist at most gyms. There are private bathrooms which are always clean no matter the time of day you go making timing a non-factor to your success. The convenient location makes my communicate to and from work a breeze. The equipment is well maintained and when something arises Nathan (the owner) is sure to address it immediately.The trainers who work at Anytime also seem to have made fitness a commitment in their life as they are not just there.... They all seem to have experience in respective areas and can contribute to your success, both as a member or client! In my case, over the years of membership Nathan has always made himself available as a resource and guide.If you are looking to work out in an environment that actively supports and encourages your goals look no further. All of the other corporate feeling gyms will simply get you in a boring routine, It was the level of client encouragement and personable environment as a member, let alone those who are training clients that has kept me there!

Equipment is in good condition staff is nice, steam room works sometimes.

The most unprofessional gym I have ever been into. I cant believe the owner is still in business, This guy is on growth hormone, and parks out in front in the handicap spot in His black Jeep.

The equipment in this gym is extremely out dated, it was made by Nautiulas which is no longer in existence. The gym is dirty, it smell and its not kept up to date. The owner is very unprofessional after being a loyal customer of 2 years plus they had the audacity to bill unnecessarily. I have trained all over the country and I have never been exposed to such horrible gym. I cant warn you enough t keep away from this horrible place.

Never give this gym your contact information. I visited once with a friend in 2013 and they have been spamming my cell phone for years. I get random texts and calls every time they hire a new salesperson. I have requested every single time to be removed from their call list/database and yet I continue to receive their spam 6 years later.

I really like your gym . Great equipment and clean but that big fan with that bright light above it makes you dizzy. You should do something about that.

For the average person who wants to get fit- this gym is probably adequate, as there are plenty of cardio and cable machines and dumbbells. However, for the average person who enjoys lifting free weights- its terrible. There is only one barbell that is very poor in quality and thicker than a normal one. Also, there is no real rack. Instead, there are adjustable stands that tip over if you put any real weight on it (I myself have almost been hurt several times because of them). Might I add, the main owner is a cheapskate wholl make it impossible for you to cancel your membership- so if you plan on cancelling, do it with one of the other trainers. The only good things I found about this gym are its convenient location and 24/7 availability.

Dont sign up with these people. The Manger is disrespectful I moved to Ohio so i didnt want to pay for their gym anymore then he accused me of lying, plus said quote being a little bitc* their expensive and their gym is super small. I regret ever stepping foot in that place.

Great place great staff. Also seeing even more improvements with more staff coming in. I am super excited for the future

First of all, the staff only shows up at this place a few hours on Tuesday and Thursday, contrary to what their website publishes. You cannot reach them by phone or email. I responded to their advertisement to join, I thought the price was good. One section of the ad said access to 1500 gyms, another part mentioned having 1800 locations. I was ready to settle for using this gym and another gym closer to my house. I even discussed this with the staff. Three weeks later my key was still not working at other locations. They would not communicate back with me but they didnt hesitate to call the other gym and say that I would never be given reciprocal use of other gyms because of the special I signed up for. Thats very deceptive considering what they advertised and what is wirtten on the back of my member agreement member can use any other gym. I showed all of this information to the other Anytime Fitness, who actually has a kind and friendly staff, and they cant believe that Rockville is trying to get away with this. The Rockville gym is small and stinks by the way.

Dont waste your time they are not professional people running this place. I just went there to get a membership and no one wanted to help me.

This gym has horrible customer service. Despite decent equipment, the staff upset me so much I havent been back to that location in over a year. Instead I drive to another Anytime fitness that is farther away to avoid this staff.Last summer I was in year 1 of a 3 year contract. I asked the manager if I could delay my membership for a few months because I was in the middle of preparing my home to sell and then moving and wouldnt have time to visit the gym for most of the summer. Rather than work with me to extend my membership on the back end or charge me a lower amount for those few months of inactivity, the manager rudely told me that I had committed to these 3 years at this price and couldnt change it unless I wanted to pay for all 3 years now to end the contract. He was unfriendly, uncooperative, and unwilling to work with me for the few months I knew I wouldnt be able to use my membership. Asking other locations to help me just led to them saying I needed to speak to the location I signed up at.When my membership ends, I will absolutely cancel and never return to Anytime Fitness due to their horrible customer service.

I work full time, and started back in school full time, so I didnt have much availability to go to the gym. I called to discuss cancelling my membership and was told Id have to finish out my contract, which I completely understand. I had the staff make a note twice of my intention to cancel, and was told by Nathan (the owner) that Feb. 5th would be my last automatic payment. On March 5th I was charged again. I called and left voice messages on their machine, and emailed Nathan regarding my account status, and have received no replies. Finally I called my bank to dispute the charge, and was awarded the refund. Here it is March 24th, and I just received an email from Anytime Fitness regarding the overdue status of my account. Its astonishing how poorly this business is run. I was a member of Planet Fitness and switched because they typically are very crowded, but the customer service alone would get me back if I decide to join another gym.

I used this club a few times to see if I like it. It is poorly managed (or not at all), there is never anybody here to oversee and make sure the facility is running well. Looks like they are cutting corners and costs wherever they can.

I like how they stay open almost 24 hours a day, if not 24 hours. I work shifts at a nearby hospital, and it would be challenging if I am a member of a regular gym that’s open during regular hours.

Just 24/7 timing is great other than that its small and not that much weights

Even though its open all the time, it seems to be very busy every time I go and the equipment varies from old to semi old. For the price of its membership, I recommend other by in the area with less crowding.
