I found Dr. Wang by searching for dental emergency care at night. My 7 year old daughter was having severe toothache and my health plan needed a referal before covering her visit. During our telephone conversation Dr. Wang was very helpful, genuinely concerned for my daughter and I decided to pay out off pocket an XRay with a consult. Once at her ofice I did not want to search for any other dentist for my daughter and asked Dr. Wang to complete the procedure. Once you find a special dentist and a great work team in her assistants I had to stop and pay for what was best for my sanity and my daughter’s. I feel lucky to find Dr. Wang and her team and I completely recomend them for your dental care and your family’s.

I got a very bad toothache on Christmas Eve, it was hurting me so badly that my half head was in pain, I didn’t sleep all night. Until this morning which is Christmas, I contacted Dr. Wang, hoping to get it fix. When she heard my situation, she see me in her office right away, I am so appreciate that she can take her time out to see me on a holiday!I have fear of seeing doctors since I was young, seeing doctors make me super nervous and scared. But Dr.Wang is very patient and professional, she numbed me and quickly found out the tooth which caused the pain, that swiped my fear away.After the treatment, I feel that I am alive again, thank you very much for your work Dr.Wang!

Grateful that Dr. Wang allowed a last second appointment during this COVID19 pandemic to check out my decaying tooth. My wisdom teeth was pushing against another tooth and the cavity formed on the roots. Dr. Wang reviewed the x-rays and showed me exactly what was going on with my #1 and #2 and gave me a risk analysis with my other wisdom teeth which arent impacting any other teeth currently. Due to the complexity of my teeth, she referred me out to a specialist rather than trying to attempt it herself. I appreciate her honesty and looking out for my best interest.

Dr Wang is a superb dentist. I found her to be a highly competent professional who is deeply interested in the well being of her patients. Her services during a complicated dental extraction were first-class. I was also very impressed that I was seen on short notice on a Saturday, which is not something most other dentists will do.

Dr. Wang changed my life!!! For years I wouldn’t smile because of my gap. Dr. Wang selected me for her holiday smile contest and treated me with such great care! She told me what she could do for me and executed! I’ve never smiled so much in my life! My gap has been uneven and big since I was 10years old. I used to get teased in middle school throughout high school. In my adult years I just wouldn’t smile or talk as often to hide the appearance of my front teeth but now since meeting Dr. Wang all that has changed. She’s really an amazing doctor! I was told for years by other doctors that there’s no way to improve my smile without braces for two years and a retainer for another two years but with the amazing talents of Dr. Wang she proved them to be false! I will always be grateful for her choosing me to dedicate her time to when she really didn’t have to. She gives back to the community every year and I’m just so happy I was able to experience this transition with Dr. Wang and her amazing team! Chanelle was really helpful my first day in the office and made sure to make me feel warm and welcomed as well as the rest of her staff. Everyone is amazing! Extremely disrespectful. Every employee treated me horribly. If you want to be ridiculed for your teeth then this is the place to go. Otherwise there are better dental offices out there.

I had an emergency on 05/12 because one of my teeth was broken that I experienced excruciating pain. Dr Wang saw me immediately and tried hard to save my tooth instead of extracting it. Dr Wang demonstrated her advanced skills, solid experience and strong empathy! I can’t imagine what my life would be like if my broken tooth was not fixed by Dr Wang especially during this pandemic crisis!

To be honest, I am very torn about leaving the following review. I really liked this place, but my past two visits had been nothing but highly disrespectful and nothing short of patient shaming due to my insurance.My initial visit was paying entirely out of pocket for my mom because she didnt have dental insurance. During the visit, they checked my personal insurance and said they were in network and that I could get my teeth cleaning done here too. And it went downhill from here.If you really dont want me as a patient, you can tell me upfront because I have tons of other dental places to go that gladly accept my insurance and charge cheaper out-of-pocket expenses.For my first regular cleaning here, I thought it was covered by insurance, except nobody told me it was deep cleaning that requires extra UNTil THE SERVICE WAS COMPLETED. A heads-up beforehand would be nice, except there was none. After this service, I was surprised to know I have to pay 170+ out of pocket but I paid nonetheless because i was told how horrible my gums/teeth were and how bad my insurance was and how little the insurance company would pay them. Again, this is entirely between you as a provider and the insurance company, if you dont like it, dont accept it at the first place, and you made it even worse by making it feel like a patients fault. I fell into the trap and felt guilty for my insurance making them less profitable and bought a electronic tooth brush set of 60+ from their office under pressure. The doctor agreed to not charge me next time for extra for a regular cleaning, btw, which should be covered entirely by your dental insurance anyway, but they made you feel like they were doing you a big favor.Then three months later, here I came. After the regular cleaning, i was sold an add on of fluoride (doubled the price I paid in my old dentist), then the doctor supposedly came to check my cavity and here it went again became a huge public shaming pointing to the computer and talking to her assistant about how little my insurance paid her last time and will do so this time again. And how she cant pay her assistant this little, and kept ranting about all this device to prevent the pandemic. I kept silent most of the times in my chair as she kept ranting to a 8 mos pregnant lady who was nothing but polite to her and her staff. The her assistant said I paid for the fluroride, that seemed to calm her down a little bit. And then i was told if ever wanted to come back here, I had to pay 170+ for each cleaning visit. I left speechless.I was beyond furious at this point and had to share my experience and hope I can talk some sense into you and your practice.1. if you dont want to accept my insurance, let me know politely up-front. I am not begging you to treat me. And I paid already 170+ for my first visit, 60+ for a dental set you were trying to sell, and 60 again this time for fluoride. You dont need to shame me multiple times during different occasions and instead of your staff, and make me feel like i am the reason they dont get paid much2. Everybody has to deal with the pandemic to keep afloat. And YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE. I personally suffered great economical loss and the company I work for the same, and everyone has to chip in extra to keep others safe. THIS IS CALLED SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, or CAPITALISM if you want to keep open. AND I AM NOT LIABLE TO FOOT THE BILL FOR THAT.3. Bottomline, just be polite and respectful. I have been nothing but respectful and polite the past few encounters. Hope you learn to treat others the same.

As a new patient, I felt very welcomed and cared about by the staff at Fine Dentistry by Design. Everyone was friendly and I could literally feel that I was in great hands. The environment was so peaceful and I definitely would recommend anyone to come to this practice. 10/10 experience for sure!!!

Based on the patients specific situation of dental needs, work schedule, and insurance, Dr. Wang usually will work out the most convenient and effective treatment plan with the patient. Wow, what can I say. Last year, I fell on my face in a restaurant and my front tooth completely flew out. As a young 28 year old, you can imagine I was freaking out. My confidence took a huge hit and now I was wondering what to do. I had my sisters wedding coming up in a few months and I was already feeling terrible about having to add another bill to my plate.Somehow I came across Dr.Wang on Google and saw that she specialized in implants (which I knew I needed). As you can imagine, I called to inquire and also came in the same day to see what information I could gather.Instantly, I felt welcomed by everyone in the office. Being new to the DMV, I hadnt yet established a home dental office but I had previously visited one other office nearby (which wasnt very welcoming and treated me more like a number). It was refreshing to be welcomed by the staff and also to be seen so quickly.Everyone in the office is so nice and the office is very comfortable and inviting. Theres water and juice at the front of the office and youre instantly greeted by smiling faces (who continuously remember your name, quite refreshing I must say) each time you come.Dr. Wang checked on my tooth and said that the job would be a process but that she could get my tooth back. I felt so comfortable with her and her staff and didnt think twice about having them look after my tooth and help me with the implant.From there, I started to worry about the financial aspect. Its not like I had the kind of money required just laying around to cover this expense. To my surprise, they had favorable financing that works for people with good credit, mediocre credit and even bad credit. As long as you have income, something can work.Needless to say, I worked out the terms of my financing with the Office Manager and used Compassionate Finance (which is a rare offering for most dental offices) to finance the expense of my implant and other dental work.The whole process was smooth and I felt comfortable dealing with the whole staff.I regularly visited Dr. Wang at least two to three times per month from March until October to complete the implant and some other dental work. It was a long process but I knew great things take time and I was comfortable with Dr.Wang and her team every step of the way!Throughout that time, not only would Dr.Wangs staff call me to check on how I was doing but she would personally call me from her cell (one time late at night) to make sure I was okay after a procedure. Dr.Wang will regularly call or pick up the phone to call her patients - Unmatched service! Ive never received this kind of service at any other office. Her and her team genuinely care. Im not just a number or an insurance claim, Im an actual person and thats been the best part of my experience with Dr. Wang and her team.My general sentiment is that Im grateful for the team and as long as I live in the DMV Ill make the drive because I know Im in good hands. Currently, I live in Annapolis and make the 45 minute drive because Im loyal and dont want any other dentist to look after my care.Its truly a family environment and I feel that every time I come in.Thank you Dr. Wang and the entire staff at Fine Dentistry. Im incredibly grateful and slightly emotional typing this.With such a traumatic event happening, you can imagine how much the work yall have done has really changed my life and boosted up my confidence again. I love my lovely dental hygienist Mei. She is very skillful and gentle. I really appreciate her teaching me how to properly take care of my teeth at home. We have been going to Dr. Wang for almost 12 years maybe more. She is the best and her staff is awesome. Our children also go to Dr. Wang of course and they have both been going to see her since they were two for their first trial appointment, our children are now 13 and 11. We tried another dentist closer to home but we went right back to Dr. Wang. Sometimes it is better to go where you know you will get taken care of instead of going to a place closer to home for convenience.

I cannot say enough good about Dr.Lisa Wang and her staff, if they had more than 5 stars I would award them all to Fine Dentistry. I have referred all my family and friends to her practice.I was visiting my family in Newport News from Rhode Island when I broke a tooth in the middle of the night on a Thursday. My regular dentist was hard to reach (called three times) and seemed put out that he could not help until we got back home, maybe come in Monday for a look, I dont know if I can write a script for you in Virginia? In contrast, we were referred to Dr. Wang from a national hot line and in fifteen minutes she was talking with my wife offering assistance and determining how to help my situation. She was professional and you could tell she really cared about helping.She opened her modern office to me the next day and even came in early at 8am to perform all of the patient intake and multiple dental procedures. In the end after advising me thoroughly she placed a temporary crown and I was on my way with a full smile in three hours start to finish. That included a root canal and a temporary bridge that felt and looked better then my previous device!. Did I say she accepted my insurance rates? I wish that I lived in the Washington area so I could continue to see her as my dentist.Wait it gets better! Dr. Wang sent all of the files and pictures she produced with her notes and the molds to my dentist back home. He remarked that her notes and recommendations were so thorough that he had very little to do during my visit but check her fine work. If that were not enough, remember I am a walk-in, Dr Wang had her staff call to see if I had gone to my dentist and if needed any additional consulting not to hesitate.I am completely taken by Dr. Wangs high tech dental practice, her modern office and most of all her humanity, she is a real gem you should run to her client list and count yourself fortunate indeed for finding her.

I have been patient of Dr hokoma, after 2002 when Dr hokoma went to CA and Dr lisa wang took over the office i was not sure if i wanted her to be my dentist , but after year of seeing Dr wang, i was so happy i made right decision to stay with Dr wang she is great very caring and has great hand while she is working on my teeth;but frankly some of her Dental Hygienist doesnt thrill me.but now Dr wang has a Dental Hygienist MAI she is unbelievable she is awesome,you should try her. i am so happy that MAI is back

Went in for consultation. Dr. Wang explained everything regarding cost, discount, promotion, procedure and how it all works and was willing and flexible enough to work with my financial situation.Next meeting: We were about to do the implant surgery but noticed something off about my bite. Again Dr. Wang explained everything about the effects of doing this implant prematurely and not having a good foundation and having an implant possibly fail. So instead of the surgery we did a deep cleaning schedule, and will get started on Invisalign instead to correct my teeth structure before the implant. All in all I’m glad she explained all my options and said she was open to still doing the surgery but gave me all the details about it’s possible failure and how the crown would not look good if we did.

This place comes super equipped! In the bathroom, there are tooth brushes, mouth wash & tooth paste! The soap & lotion are from Bath & Bodyworks! Everything is A1 honestly!!! PLUS they have coffee, hot chocolate, juice boxes and little water bottles!!!! They actually send you an email asking if you are okay if you miss their phone call!!! WHO ELSE DOES THAT!!!!???

Dr. Wang is very detail-oriented and extremely thorough. Ive been seeing her for more than 3 years now and have been impressed with her. I would highly recommend her practice.

I really cannot speak highly enough of the service that Dr. Wang and her staff provide. My boyfriend and I were in the market for a new dentist as my old dentist office service had declined greatly. The dental hygienists and assistants here are knowledgeable and friendly. They take their time with the cleaning process and also floss your teeth for you as well. To me, they went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable and enjoyed our visit. I used to dread going to the dentist but now I dont mind and even look forward to going to visit Dr. Wang.They also sent me a follow-up email after my visit to make sure everything went well. It really shows that Dr. Wangs office really cares and pays attention to the smallest details. Its a rare but good find.

My daughters tooth had caused her pain for two days. We visited Dr. Wang this morning. Dr. Wang saw my daughter right away. The tooth needed a minor adjustment, and Dr. Wang said that if the pain was still present in a week, we should call back. Dr. Wang was very professional and welcoming.We highly recommend her work.

My experience was wonderful; She renewed my trust in dentist again. I had had several painful visits to a prior dentist that caused me to stop going to the dentist for several years. I experience the least amount of pain ever at a dentist. I was kept comfortable on every visit to this dentist and follow up inquiries from this dentist for me was totally unheard of. I love my dentist and she my dentist for life.

Good for age 5 and above or any kids that will lay down and not moving at all.Nice clean dental office. Cozy setting. Ladies at front desk are very nice. Dr. Wang is a hardworking lady. What I like most is she doesnt do general anesthesia. Thats the reason I switched from the other dental office to this one. The other good thing about this dental office is Dr. Wang uses Biolase which is water + laser to get rid of the cavities, different from traditional drill. Kids are not supposed to feel any pain.Weve visited couple different dentists for my 2 years old daughter. She has baby bottle decay which are cavities on her top 4 teeth due to pooling of breast milk overnight. Weak enamel runs in my husbands family. I stopped night time nursing her when we found out the reason of her cavity. Breast milk is the best for baby and even toddlers. Like most dentists, Dr. Wang is not supporting breastfeeding. After 1st dental visit, she told me not to breastfeed next baby that much. I understand her concern from a dentist’s point of view. Breastfeeding pass toddler age is beyond nutritional need, and it’s more emotional attachment. I am not arguing with her about breastfeeding. I will clean up my kid’s teeth after the last feeding.Before seeing Dr. Wang, my daughter had 3 times drilling experience. Yes, really drilling with no local anesthesia at all. The pediatric dentist was very nice and smart, he greeted my daughter every time with warm smile, and got familiar with her before he started doing his quick check. After 3 drilling, my daughter wasnt scared of dentist at all. She was very cooperative with her teeth cleaning. I really like my previous dentist until he said he wanted to pull her tooth which really doesnt have to, because the decay wasn’t really deep. After doing a lot of research, I switched to Dr. Wang. I did not see Dr. Wang trying to connect with my daughter during these 2 visits, she did say Hi and told us to go in laid down on the chair and checked. She is a dentist and she is doing what shes supposed to do.During our 1st visit, we agreed to give my daughter local anesthesia because the cavity on her left upper lateral incisor was really bad. Dr. Wang tried twice to get the local anesthesia right on the spot, because the 1st shot wasnt good enough. What will you expect from a 2 years old after 2 needle shots? Of course, screaming and crying. Dr. Wang cleared the cavities very well, and we saw the pulp wasnt infected, so all we had to do was to put some medicine and composite on and then we were all done. My 2 years old lost her patience at that moment, she started crying and screaming. I am trying my best to calm her down. As a mom, we have the same goal as Dr. Wang is to get her teeth fixed. I am very sorry and do feel bad that my daughter screamed and affect other patients, but thats all kids do. After a huge fight, we finally got her teeth fixed. We scheduled 2 months away from 1st time visit. Dr. Wang said we could do any Thursday because they have less patients. Sure we will do Thursday, and I will get my husband to come with me to help calm her down.Its very nice of Dr. Wang called us the day before our visit and calling the day after the appointment and making sure my daughter was doing okay.

I was VERY impressed with the staff and the dental practice. They were professional from the moment I made my first appointment on the phone, to the follow-up email I received afterwards to make sure everything was ok.Their staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I was surprised to find tea and coffee in the waiting area. Im normally very self-conscious about having bad breath for my dental visits. I decided to have their bottled water which was also available for my convenience.They had the modern equipment for taking panoramic dental x-rays which I seem to find with the better dentists. I am usually nervous during visits, but everyone was friendly and professional and put me at ease.I had a small issue with a tooth, and they were able to resolve the issue during my initial visit, painlessly and for less than what I was expecting to pay.Fine Dentistry treated me with patient care, and I would recommend them to anyone that may need their services.

The price advertised wasnt the price I was told when I arrived for my appointment. $899 for root canal went to $1368. False advertising! Next time be more precise in what you are offering patients. I found an endodontist that performed the root canal for $1000 no hidden fees and Im not in pain any longer.
