First: we go to Precision Optometry because the Dr. is outstanding, its minutes from our home, we get our appointments and glasses in record time, and the opticians really know their stuff when it comes to applying benefits, getting us the best value for our coverage.Second: the bad reviews here re: insurance denials reflect a basic lack of understanding of how insurance works. Precision Optometry does the out-of-network and MediCal patients (aka under-insured) a huge service by letting them know AHEAD OF TIME that they may incur out of pocket expenses. This is an HONEST practice that actually loses them money, but saves the patient money. Its not shaming or anything other ignorant opinion expressed here.
This was the best eye exam I have ever had! Dr. Brooks and her staff are the best!
After reading the reviews and more importantly the responses from Owner/Doctor, I would not go here. Clearly, the owner/doctor does not care and is quick at pointing fingers. Maybe you would start with a thank you.... i.e. last response from owner/doctor simply pointed fingers at Medical, I know what you were doing attempting to make someone feel bad because they are on Medical- they deserve the same treatment as those with standard coverage. And just to be clear Dr. I am not on medical but certainly am glad Medical is there for those who need it.I also do believe you violated HIPPA laws by telling the world with your response- that the patient was on Medical.
I’m writing on my sons account since I don’t have one. What a nice experience go to a super eye clinic. From the front office to the Doctor and the young lady who helped me pick my glasses it was a very pleasant experience. It was FUN going to the doctor. Highly recommended for superior service..Art Bliesner.
Very professional staff, thorough exam with explanations as to my eye health and suggestions were offered. The staff is friendly and easy to talk with, they are very helpful and eager to answer any questions or issues. The Doctor is very nice, easy to talk to and helpful with any question you may have. The office is in a very nice location and is very clean, neat and comforting to be in. The staff is not pushy with glasses or frames you choose. They offer up ideas and suggestions with what looks nice on your face regardless of what the cost is. I will go back and refer other people I know to this office. Gerry the Doctor was excellent!
I called Precision Optometry because my husband was having vision issues and our current optometrist could not get him in for almost 2 months. I was able to get a weekend appointment for my husband and scheduled 3 of my children appointments as well. I figured that if we didnt like this office we could always go back to our old optometrist.Well, we will be staying with Precision Optometry! Not only were they prompt about our appointment time (with all 4 appointments!) which shows me they respect my time as their customer, but their staff was extremely helpful and friendly.Dr. Brooks worked very well with my children and took the time to explain the different options for my husband that we have never even heard of at our old optometrist. When picking out their new frames my childrens likes and dislikes were listened to and they found adorable glasses (that were within our insurance budget!) that they all love. All of the glasses were ready sooner than we expected and they were fitted to each person properly before we left. I am very happy with our experience and I would highly recommend Precision Optometry to anyone!
I had to call my insurance company for a second time because Precision told me I was yellow lighted. My insurance company told me I have coverage it would just take more work for on Precisions part to verify and bill my insurance. I would expect a good optometry office to go above and beyond for their patients; but I suppose thats not the case with Precision. If I could give no stars I would.
Dr. Brooks always does an amazing job with getting my contact and eyeglasses prescriptions correct. She is patient and extremely knowledgeable. Love the staff because they are always so friendly and they even send you your prescriptions over email just in case you lose the original. Highly recommend.
The doctor is fine but the staff that works the front desk is rude. I had to cancel my appointment because I just couldn’t get off work and even though I was going to reschedule they charged me a cancellation fee. I would’ve gone back if I was able to reschedule without a cancellation fee but unfortunately that’s not that case. I will not be returning to this office and do not recommend them at all.
Local business, with a caring and patient optometrist. Our whole family comes to her, even since my kids were little. The opticians are very helpful in picking frames and helping with your insurance specifications too.
After tiring of driving to Auburn to my previous eye doctor, I found Precision Optometry mere minutes from my home. I had a very good experience with Dr Brooks and the staff. She is thorough and personable. Then last month when my 7 yr old daughter with special needs complained of headaches and images splitting apart, I felt confident that Dr Brooks would be patient with her so I took her in. The doctor did a great job and had no problems relating to my daughter or figuring out ways to get her to cooperate and stay present with the exam. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend them!
Dr. Brooks and staff are amazing. I had an abrasion on my cornea and could barely see. I called that morning and got an appointment for an hour later. Dr. Brooks was incredibly thorough and kind and even gave me samples on my way out so I wouldnt have to stop by the store. She will be my optometrist for life! I have already recommended her to my friends and family and would recommend her to anyone reading this review.
Im very happy with Dr. Brooks. I have been going for a year now. I just finished by 2nd annual eye check. I was impressed with what good records she kept. In my 2nd year check-up we were able to see what, if, there had been any changes in my eye site. She took the time to explain everything she was doing during the exam. They had a good supply of frames but there was no high pressure to have to purchase a frame now.It is nice to have a local Dr. that is there to provide good medical care to ensure you eyes and vision are protected.
Dr. Brooks and her team have always done a great job of taking care of my eyes.
I have been a patient at this office for 3+ years. My appointments have been goos and Dr. Brooks is fine. But I have bot had a good experience with this staff in quite sometime. Every time Ive left an appointment, Ive said Im never going back. Their hours are not conveinent for someone who is otherwise occupied 8-5. Its hard to get an appointment quickly. I prefer shopping local but Id be better off at a bix box optomotry clinic at this rate. I cannot recommend this office to others.
My wife, daughter and myself have been to Dr. Books. My daughter and I got our glasses, all is well.My wife, due to a lazy eye and other vision issues, needed more attention and only contact lenses are usable to help control the lazy eye...The first set Dr. Brooks prescribed were a bit uncomfortable so she ordered a second different brand set for my wife, that was a little fuzzy, Dr. Brooks ordered a third set, that was a bit hard around the edges, Dr. Brooks again ordered yet another set.... It is not an exaggeration when I say, my wife has been to Dr. Brooks about 20 times this last two months... Each and every time, Dr. Brooks took the time and made the effort to help my wife get the best possible fit for her contacts...I am not sure if shes a doctor or a saint at this point... Im going with the latter...Do yourselves a favor and go see Doctor Brooks if you need eye care...
Great selection and the opticians are expert at what they do.
Just an amazing place to go.
They take appts according to your insurance or cash customer, the product is poor language barrier rude receptionist
