This place was great! Went in to have two ingrown toe nails removed. Everyone was so kind and such fast service. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Dr. B was fantastic and super informative.

Initial visit with Dr B and his assistant. Very professional, listened to my questions and concerns. Gave his medical and personal opinions and recommendations on immediate and long term treatments. Forthright and had my best interests at heart. Highly recommended, and a Utah native :)

Very thoughtful, considerate, concerned about what my problem is and talked to me about procedures that were available to help me. Then ask me which avenue of help I wanted to proceed with.Very Professional and caring. I’m so glad I went in there, I’m going back in a few days for more work to be done, I can hardly wait. ***** Neuropathy Sufferers Beware *****Summit Foot and Ankle has some great advertising to lure you in for a miracle cure.I met with Dr. B a few weeks ago. He seems to be a one trick pony peddling Stem Cell Therapy as the cure to your pain. He informed me the procedure was quite expensive and would contact me after he knew what my insurance would pay. To date they have not reached out with pricing. They were however able to successfully bill my insurance for the visit.When I asked about other less expensive options his answers were quite vague. The only one I got a direct answer for was stim therapy. He said it would be cheaper to buy a Tens Unit on Amazon and do it myself.I found the visit to be a complete waste of time and money.Don’t let the slick television advertising mislead you into visiting Summit Foot and Ankle.

I love the staff at Summit Foot and Ankle. They are very professional, yet friendly and personable. Dr Braden Brklacich is a stud. Very knowledgeable and has helpful insights on foot injuries. His diagnosis and recommendations were spot on. One month after treatment i was back to my daily and physical activities. I would highly recommend him for any foot injury. You wont be disappointed.

The facility and doctors are top notch. Dr. Brklacich was very thorough and attentive to my needs. He was able to squeeze me in last minute before the Christmas holiday, and he made sure that I was cared for by checking up on how I was doing and providing updates on test results over the holiday break. I definitely would recommend them if you have any foot or ankle issues.

WARNING DO NOT COME HERE !!!When 3 times to see Dr Ellsworth because of a possible gout (still trying to figure it out). All 3 times i was mistaken with different patients and 1 time my appointment hour was change and had to wait for more than 1 hour. Over $400 later nothing was done to me other than 2 RX (dont let the office take Rx, your insurance wont pay for it because of the type of Rx they take) and sent medicine for pain. I never really sent reviews but unfortunately my experience was so bad that i dont want you to waste your money and time.

Excellent first visit

They treated my foot twice and both times with no results. I had the same treatment at a different hospital that worked fine and was very effective. They also dont do a good job in the billing department, they forget to tell you about follow up visit charges and the front desk told me there would be no charge for a follow up injection but there was a charge and I feel misled. Wont be going back there again

Mid 2019 My wife came here to have an ingrown toenail removed. We were short on money at the time and werent going to have it done but were talked into it when we were told repeatedly that our appointment copay would cover the entire procedure. Right before they started the work we quadruple checked that the copay would be our only charge as wed only had enough money for that. They, again, confirmed what we were told.About a year later we suddenly get a letter from collections that claims we apparently owe Summit Foot and Ankle $519.12 for the procedure done at that time. (It didnt even work, we ended up having to go elsewhere) Were charged 382.62 for the procedure and 138.50 in late fees. We sent a letter back and we were told that our attempt to correct the matter was Frivolous and late charges would continue to accrue.When we were hesitant to proceed Summit Foot and Ankle intentionally lied to us in order to keep our business despite knowing we couldnt afford it and that the procedure did actually have a much higher cost.For anyone looking seriously into reviews for podiatrists I would heavily encourage you to seek out another location as the people here will maliciously lie to you and take advantage of you in order to make more money.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Ellsworth. He is AWESOME!! I recently had Achilles tendon surgery. He used the latest technology including stem cells for healing. With a new wave anchor, to secure my tendon, I thought for sure Id be in pain. I honestly had only one day of being uncomfortable!!! Its miraculous!! Hes really one of the best doctors Ive even had. I highly recommend him. Youll find him personable and concerned. Hes an excellent doctor! Thanks Dr. Ellsworth!!!

This place did not help me at all and would never go back, it has been almost a year and my pain is worse in both feet. They gave me a brace which made the pain worse and exercises to do which also made the pain worse, waste of money and time!! Not worth it!!

Ive had an excellent experience, so far, working with Dr. Ellsworth. First, it was really easy to make and appointment and it was able to get in quickly. Second, the wait time at the office was minimal. Third, Dr. Ellsworth is very easy to talk to and explains everything thats going on and what the treatment plant will be. Very happy I found this office!

Dr Ellsworth is great! I take all my kids there for their foot and ankle care. He has helped me more than once and eased my mind about things. I always leave with a solution and follow ups are easy when you follow his advice!

I am so pleased with Summit foot and ankle. My friend told me about them a few years ago when I was having difficulty with my foot. I was extremely satisfied with the help and counseling I received plus the Dr had some arches made for me. Well it has been many years and now I have problems with bunions. I went and talked with the greatest foot dr and am going to now get the help I need. The staff in the office is great and helps you comfortable. I am very thankful for them all but especially knowing again I will be well.

All they did was just check and x-ray. Nothing else. And I paid hundreds and hundreds dollars. Seriously did not help at all.

We got an appointment within a day for my daughters ingrown toe-nails. They did an amazing job of taking care of both of her feet. Other doctors said they couldnt do two feet at once, and other doctors the pain and in-growns came back. So far, a month out and she is still feeling great. Thank you so much for actually knowing what your doing and taking care of us. We will recommend all we know to you and we will go back for sure if needed.

Worst place and staff! Went in for a toe nail removal about four times and it continues to come back.Ellsworth stated his work was guaranteed the first time. Went in the second or third time and Decker did not prescribe any antibiotic knowing it was infected until the fourth time she mentioned it was infected and needed antibiotics before the procedure. So much for being a DOCTOR! Now that my balance has been paid off the front desk staff and so called “doctors” claim they never guarantee the work. They just say guarantee from the beginning that to take your money.

Bills keep coming, not transparent in their billing and my problem was never fixed. Stay away from this place.

Dr. Ryan Ellsworth is AWESOME!Thank you for healing my foot and outlook on life! When I first came to you, pain was accosting me with every step I took. That pain had become an unwelcomed, constant companion in my life. I literally limped with each step. I had an agonizing, stubborn case of plantar fasciitis. My plantar fascia had pulled tight and thickened, causing a deep, achy, sometimes even stabbing pain on the front of my heel.I loved the consistent and persistent approach in first trying the least pervasive means to heal my plantar facia. We tried compression socks, steroid shots, arch supports, and even physical therapy. However, my plantar facia proved to be stubborn and retained its resolve to still be a “pain” in my life.It was then discussed and agreed upon that a plantar fasciotomy was the next best step for me. It was also proposed that immediately following the plantar fasciotomy that I begin laser therapy on my foot in your office. You even mentioned the laser therapy would most likely prevent the need to return to physical therapy after the surgery.As I researched laser therapy, I found that it works at a cellular level to trigger my body’s natural healing response. It reduces inflammation, and it also increases blood flow to the area giving the cells the extra nutrients and energy they need to heal. Laser treatment is non-invasive and doesn’t create scar tissue. During the laser treatment procedure, the most one feels is a soothing warm sensation against the skin from the laser. All of this was consistent with your explanation to me on how it worked too.I have seen research stating the recovery time for plantar fasciotomy surgery is typically around 6-10 weeks to recover to the point where one can walk comfortably without assistance and that it may take up to 3 months before one can resume rigorous activity and exercise. So previously I had a very long review explaining my experience with them for the last 1.5 years. This is also long but explaining what happened a few months down the line from surgery. First off I want to say these guys are really professional & really caring. But unfortunately my ingrowns were just a lot to handle. My toes are extremely small and round & the skin around my toes is thick & I’m just prone to the ingrown toenail.In total I’ve had 3 separate procedures done. 2 at the riverton location and 1 at the salt lake location. My first surgery we removed both sides of both feet. After my first one, a few days later as I was cleaning my toes, I could very clearly see a chunk of nail still down the side canal of one of my toes but left it alone. Cut to 6 months later, I came in and had to have my right side of my left toe redone. Then 6 months later I came back to have my right toe on the left side re done.I praise them for their guarantee, as my last two attempts were free. But the reason for my review now is because I’m currently sitting in another podiatry office having both sides of my left toe redone, but my right side also has grown back on both sides but because I’ll be working tomorrow we’re doing one foot at a time.Every office every doctor will be different than the next & I’m not sure why my first few removals were unsuccessful, but again, these guys were incredible with me & did all they could & I couldn’t ask for more.I still recommend people to this clinic because their customer service is outstanding & I just happened to get unlucky.Lastly, if you’re reading this, please still come see these guys! They’re truly outstanding. Every body is different, every result is different & these guys can & will take care of you!

This is outrageous and so dangerous for patients to have these experiences.I saw Dr. Decker on 4 different occasions over a period of months and Dr. Ellsworth once. Ive noticed this office really likes to do ingrown toenail procedures w/o doing any tests to make sure nails are ingrown. The 1st time I went to Dr. Decker I mentioned that I may have a skin infection. Dr. Decker told me I had an ingrown toenail not a skin infection. She said that I needed to have an ingrown toenail procedure done. I asked her if she was sure and she said she was. She performed the procedure as I thought I could trust her. She told me I would feel so much better in a few days. Well I didnt get better. I kept going back to Dr. Decker due to excruciating pain and swelling. She told me to keep waiting. Well I ended up in the ER and being admitted to the hospital to be treated for cellulitis & a bone infection for 2 days. I now have a picc line so I can administer my antibiotics and Im still limping. I was told by the ER team that the procedure should have NEVER been done by Dr. Decker until the cellulitis was treated & cleared up and that I probably didnt have an ingrown nail since I only got worse after the procedure. Also, it was asked why Dr. Decker or Dr. Ellsworth didnt culture my nail or the drainage to see what type of cellulitis my body was fighting? That is a good question! Dr. Decker removing a part of my nail allowed the cellulitis to travel to my bone. Had I kept waiting like Dr. Decker told me I couldve lost my toe or my life. You dont mess around with infections!!!I would also like to know why Dr. Decker told me I didnt have a skin infection/cellulitis when her notes clearly state cellulitis and drainage??? I sure hope accountability is taken and the patients healthcare will be taken more seriously.

I’m very impressed by this office. It is clear that Dr. Ellsworth truly cares about his patients and will do whatever it takes to get you back on your feet (pun intended) again.
