Dr. Gilbert is amazing. He is so patient and works amazing with kids!!!! He was upfront and took the time to explain what he was doing to my daughter rather than just rushing in and performing an exam. Surgery went smooth and was quick to respond to any questions I had during the healing process. Brittany was also amazing and patient to help me with some questions as well!

Recently I had my first appointment with Dr. Allak. I always get some level of stress when going to a new doctor for the first time. Little did I know, I had nothing to worry about. I had a VERY pleasant experience! My first contact with the staff was Kylie at the front desk. She was SO friendly and kind. I was then called back after about five minutes (only FIVE!) by Gianna, the MA. She instantly put me at ease, with her cute and friendly personality. When she finished, she said Dr. Allak would be in shortly. And he was! He came in about four or five minutes later! (I DO know that it can legitimately take longer, but that was impressive to me!) AND, he treated me like I assume he would treat his own mother. At one point he was making some notes and I remembered something that I started to tell him. He stopped what he was doing to look me in the eye and fully pay attention to what I was telling him! I DO believe I have found my new ENT and hes only about three miles away! I loved the whole experience! Based on my first visit, I would recommend him to others!

From the initial scheduling to the MA to Dr. Allak to the surgery scheduler and then the check-up call after surgery, I could not have asked for a better experience. Every interaction was extraordinary. Thank you!!

I never write reviews, I keep my opinion to myself good or bad. But I have felt the need I needed to leave a review today. I applied for a position for a billing specialist with South Valley ENT in West Jordan. This is something I felt I was compatible too since I currently work in that industry and they had a listing on Indeed. I emailed back and forth with Breanne briefly who is the Assistant administrator to schedule an interview. We scheduled for a specific date and a time as well confirmed the location.The day of the interview I showed up a couple minutes early since the interview was scheduled to be at IMC and I am not too familiar with the Hospital. When I arrived I let the receptionist know I was there for an interview with Breanne. The receptionist seemed surprised as she was not aware I was scheduled to be there, she let me know Breanne had not yet arrived but will let her know that I was there once she arrived. I waited 30 mins and no one showed up. The receptionist was very apologetic as they were not able to reach or get a hold of Breanne. The receptionist took my number to see if we could reschedule. I emailed Breanne to see if this was a miss communication. I have not yet received a call or a response. I believe this is very unprofessional especially from an Assistant Administrator . I would hate for someone to go through this that is the reason for this review. She did not value my time.

Dr Allak is great! Such a nice and friendly doctor with great bedside manner. Really took the time to explain the procedure my son needed done with his deviated septum and took great care of him during surgery. My son never knew what it felt like to breathe normal ans we really had no idea how bad his nose was until we saw Dr Allak. Thank you so much for your amazing skills and for helping fix this issue for my son. Surgery went perfect with minimal down time. Entire office staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

I lost hearing in my right ear. A quick trip to Dr. Allak was all I needed. Within 5 minutes he had removed all my earwax buildup and I was back to hearing perfectly again. Dr. Allak was very gentle and gave me a rundown of exactly what the procedure entailed. I will definitely be coming back to him in the future if needed. Worth the 30 minute drive!!!

Excellent staff! From the appointment scheduler, to the MA, to Dr. Amir Allak, to the surgery scheduler! All super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr. Allak was amazing! Took his time to explain what tonsils are, why we have them, and the procedure for removing them and the recovery process. We left feeling very cared for and well taken care of!

The staff and Dr. Gilbert were great. The wait time was minimal even at the end of the day. Dr, Gilbert was very attentive and answered all my concerns.

All the staff were very helpful and professional. Dr. Peter Anderson has been awesome-did a great job on my surgery she addressed all my questions and concerns.

I was really impressed with Dr. Allak and South Valley ENT as a whole. Ive had ongoing issues my entire life that havent ever been addressed by PCPs and Dr. Allak validated my concerns and found multiple solutions to help my symptoms. The nurse that did my allergy testing was also very kind and answered all questions I had. Ive already recommended Dr. Allak and the practice to family members.

I woke up on a Sunday with severe vertigo. I have never had that happen before. It was really scary and I was in bed for 24 hours, could not get up without being nauseous and dizzy. The next day I was fine but I made an appointment with Dr Peter Anderson and was able to get into him on Wednesday because they had a cancellation. On Tuesday around 3am I had a really scary episode when I rolled over in bed, it felt like someone spun me backwards about 4x at 100mph. It happened again a few hours later. After that I was ok until my appointment. I first had my hearing tested with the audiologist Vance. Then saw Dr Anderson. They were great and explained what they thought was going on and it did end up being BPPV where the crystals in your ear canal get out of place. I know, it sounds woo woo but it is very much a real thing and debilitating. Vance was able to correct the problem in under 30 min with one treatment. I have not had any problems since the treatment. The human body is amazing and complicated and I’m grateful that Dr Anderson and his audiologist were able to help. I highly recommend South Valley ENT!

I had struggled with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo for about a half year. I was familiar with the Epley manuever and tried to use it everu day at home to get rid of my disorientation. It became so bad I went in to see Dr Gilbert who did an exam and removed the ear wac from my ears.He then has his wonderful male audiologist who diagnosed the issue, did the Epley manuver twice and I walked out of the office and have not experienced another episode of dizziness nor disorientation. I have my normal life back now. Thanks to Dr Gilbert and all staff. They were kind, very professional and all did their part to perfection. Highly recommended provider!!!

I lived with an ear infection for half a year that my family doctor could not figure out. Within 10 minutes of meeting with Dr. Gilbert he had diagnosed the problem and helped me to hear. Absolutely incredible service and SO KIND. Everyone in the office obviously cares about your health and will give you the best care possible.

I have been so very impressed with my experience with South Valley Ear, Nose & Throat. Everyone is kind, concerned, and very attentive. I had allergy testing done that I had a bad reaction to and was very grateful for their genuine care and concern. Dr. Allak has always taken whatever time I need to answer whatever questions I have in a very thorough way. He literally said What questions do you have? And when I asked and he answered, he said What other questions? And continued to do that until he answered everything and anything I had concerns about. I would definitely recommend this place!!

I was very pleased with my experience at this office from the friendly greeting of the receptionist, for the clean, covid safe waiting room, and the skill and knowledge of Dr. Allak. I was particularly impressed with how thorough he was, explaining his diagnosis and treatment plan. He made the effort to contact me personally which took three attempts on his part to reach me. I strongly recommend using his service when needed.

I was concerned because masks were not being worn correctly by the doctor and receptionist. They did not secure the masks on their noses and they were falling off. I expected more compliance with Covid-19 regulations. I will not return there until I am vaccinated for Covid-19.

Came in slightly late for my appointment and was told I couldn’t be seen. Another guy walked in who’s appointment was missed and was even earlier then my appointment and they saw him. I felt disrespected and disappointed. In the future I’d rather go to the West Jordan location. Yes it was my fault for being late but it get discriminatory and improper.

I had a great experience at South Valley ENT. It was quick to get an appointment, I didnt wait long, the staff was helpful, and I got the help I needed. Thats all I can ask from a provider.

My son was playing football this afternoon and broke his nose with a displacement. We were seen in the ER given a referral by the ER physician and told to call right away as it will need to be set within 7-10 days. When I called the phone number given I reached their West Jordan office, the lady in the appointment department was extremely rude and Wild rather argue than do her job! So I had my husband call back as she stated my son would need to be seen by another doctor before they could see us due to our insurance as the referral from the ER is not sufficient enough. NEWS FLASH it is. I called my actual insurance too and they stated it would be considered due to the circumstances. So when my husband was talking to her the story changed from well your insurance says that. He read her the regulations and such from our insurance so she then stated it’s our company policy! Then I figured I’d try the Riverton location as it’s closer to us anyway. This time I got the our billing department states that you have to be seen by another provider that they won’t accept the ER referral. Sure that told me we’ll be happy to see you but you’ll be required to pay cash for your visit. I let her know they should probably do some training on what is acceptable and what isn’t for this particular insurance as what they have is incorrect! Well I hope this office is ready to explain a DOI complaint away because it’s been filed as we speak!!! Stay away from this office!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!

Dr Alak was very thorough and professional. He did a full exam and explained his findings in clear language. He set up a treatment plan and scheduled a follow up. He really knows his stuff and made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions.

Dr. Anderson and his staff are great! Would definitely recommend them! Dr Anderson took out both of my boys tonsils and fixed my nose, I breathe so much better now.

Wow! I had to take my 3 year old in because she stuck something in her ear. From the very start I had a great experience. The receptionist was very helpful and had a great positive attitude. The next person we saw was an MA (I wish I could remember her name) and she immediately connected and interacted with my child, putting her at ease. There was basically no wait time when our WONDERFUL Dr Amir Allak saw us. He came in smiling and talking in a way my daughter understood. He was engaging and had her laughing the whole time. He was very comforting and reassuring. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at South Valley Ear Nose & Throat Riverton. I saw Dr. Amir Allak who was a fantastic doctor. He really took the time to ask me questions and get to know what symptoms I was having. He clearly explained my diagnosis to me and how to treat it. I was travelling to America from South Africa so my insurance required a special form from the office that the doctor took time to fill in for me. The receptionist, Marquelle Maxfield, was also incredible and so helpful. As my insurance was overseas it was more complicated than local insurance but she phoned them and after a bit of back and forth the visit was mostly covered by my insurance. The office was also clean and orderly. A very pleasant experience overall and would definitely recommend them.
