Jodi Johnson checked my eye prescription with my contacts in my eyes. When I asked why I shouldnt take them out he said it didnt matter. I had my eyes checked by Jodi Johnson 4 times and it was never figured out. I went through so many contacts just trying to give Jodi Johnson the benefit of the doubt but I still dont have contacts that wont give me a headache or what I came in for was to be able to see better. I just wear my glasses all the time. If it werent for the great staff there I wouldnt have tried so may times. But even the staff questioned his methods especially after I told them he scanned my eyes with my contacts still in.

Staff was extremely patient and kind with my special needs son. We felt completely welcome and cared for. Would highly recommend this practice!

I received my new glasses yesterday and the staff, even the doctor struggled to get the glasses to fit properly without making them look wonky. Turns out the frame was defective and they let me take a another frame they had in the office. The doctor popped in the new lenses and I was on my way. I just wanted to mention that the staff was very nice, patient and cared that I was be a happy customer. They made things right and I love my new glasses.

Horrible price gouging! 2nd year in a row they forgot to put in bifocals and once I went back for lens only, which they originally charged $280, they want to charge me an additional $120 for bi-focals that THEY FORGOT. They are supposed to be the experts! Ridiculous, will NEVER go back. Been a customer for over 7 years

The staff members are friendly and helpful. The office is beautiful, clean, and well organized. The equipment is modern and they keep everything clean and sanitized. I didnt have to wait for my appointment, and Dr. Johnson is professional and knowledgeable, and he answered all my questions. They also have a great selection of eyewear; although, the prices are higher than many other places.

I had an excellent experience there! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and walked through all of my options with me. The doctor answered all of my questions and volunteered information that I don’t typically get at other eye care centers. He was super personable.

My insurance changed and I chose to go to Riverton Family Eye Care. The prices in comparison were really high. The gentleman who worked with me was very aggressive in upselling me on my bi-focals. I was not interested in spending over $1,000 for my glasses.

Our whole family comes here for care. We love the doctor, the facility, the service, the options, the payment flexibility! They have a little playhouse, clean bathroom, and large selection of eyewear. We have 3 kids with astigmatism, and myself that is nearsighted. The doctor is friendly and always shows the kids magic tricks, which entertains them all ranging in ages 6-11. Even I’m impressed lol and then he lets his wonderful and patient staff let us peruse or search with their help for frames. We have been going now for 2 years and love it. Totally recommend to anyone. Like all services, make sure you know you’re insurance coverage and policies so you don’t walk out confused or frustrated, and it can be as easy as calling your insurance. Educating yourself with your coverage really makes a world of a difference!

Great dr he’s super friendly and funny. He does a thorough job. And if your really nice he’ll throw in a magic trick at the end of your appointment. This is one of those appointments I usually dread, but here it’s fun.

BEWARE OF DISHONEST PRICE GOUGING! My son and I have been with this clinic for >8 years and not once had a problem with them. However, in October, my children and I came in for our annual eye exams. I was told that my fundoscopic exam would be $40. So, imagine my surprise when I was checking out and they had charged me $80 instead of the agreed $40. I questioned them about it, and they said it was how Dr. Johnson billed it and now I owe $80. I was perturbed and annoyed, but it wasnt the assistances fault so I grudgingly paid for it but told the assistance that next time let the customer know upfront when their prices change so they have a choice if they want it or not. I explained that I already get fundoscopic exams with my ophthalmologist and I have never paid $80 for one! He apologized and all was good...so I thought.A month later, I got another bill for an additional $40. YES, THIS FUNDOSCOPIC EXAM COST $120! I called them several times and spoke with the office manager/Billings. Each time I got a different explanation, either my insurance ended (wrong, I have the same insurance, still active today) or that it wasnt a covered service and I would be responsible for the difference. At this point, I didnt care, I asked them to write it off because if had known it would cost $120 from the beginning I wouldnt have agreed to it.On todays call, the office manager had the poor assistant deal with me because she herself didnt have the guts to talk to me! Im embarrassed to say that I still did pay the extra $40 (I have great credit and wont let this affect it) BUT I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. Money matters more to these vultures than having loyal customers. Lesson learned!

Riverton Family Eye Care lives up to its moniker. My family and I have always received top care from the receptionist to picking up the glasses. Dr. Johnson is willing to work with unconventional customers as well as special needs. His magic tricks are the frosting to the office experience. Great staff!

Very unimpressed with riverton family eye care! I spent over $350 on glasses and 3 weeks later still don’t have them! Every time I call it’s a different story to get me off the phone and can’t seem to get an ETA. They tell me they will call me back everyday and never hear back. Would not recommend going there at all!

I received notification that my appointment was set through their notification system. When I arrived they had stated that the doctor was sick. I then asked why I wasn’t notified prior. They then informed me Dr. Jodie was exposed to COVID and his test came back positive. After I was informed sorry nothing we can do. I was unsatisfied with concern of my time and my health and others.

I had a eye medical concern and they were able to get me in that day no issues. The doctor was attentive and quick which helped because I had taken a lunch break to go that day.

After the first Covid outbreak they still havent learned. We were exposed during their second outbreak and there was STILL an employee wearing their mask under their nose. Thank you for making me get a swab shoved up my nose and quarantining at home. Because of you my sick dog had to miss his vet appointment. We will NEVER be back.

I don’t plan on coming back here, due to communication struggles at this office. The staff is pretty friendly, however I was told my appointment would be fully covered and ending up having to pay $40 anyways. I had email proof that I was told my insurance would cover everything, but they ignored that proof and still made me pay. Super frustrating to be told it would be covered and then have to pay!!

I have been going to Riverton Family Eye Care for several years and I absolutely love them. They are quick and efficient which is great when time is key but they also never make me feel rushed. They really achieve a great balance. The staff is knowledgeable, caring, friendly and extremely professional. This was the only clinic close to my house that accepts my insurance. I also got an appointment on the same day I called. Not that it will happen with everyone, but I was fortunate that way. The staff and the doctor are very nice and professional.

Really great experience! I hate things in my eye, including drops. They have the fancy cameras so I do not have to experience the dilation drops. They also dont have to push on your eyeball to get a reading for Glaucoma. Dr. Johnson knows his stuff. He was able to tell me after the first few seconds in the chair, that I spend my day staring at a computer screen and I have trouble seeing road signs while driving. He knows his stuff! Found my new Doc.

My daughter had what I thought was pink eye. I called the office at 530 PM to set up an appointment, and they were supposed to close at 6. They told me to run her in and they would fit her in. My daughter was super nervous, but the Dr. Was amazing. She ended up having a tiny string lodged in the corner of her eye that we couldnt see. He got it out for her and then started doing magic tricks and talking about Harry Potter with her. She ended up leaving in such a happy mood. She loved it. It was the best experience ever. I even tried tipping him, but he wouldnt let me. Thank you!

Dr. Johnson and his staff are extremely helpful and personable. Compared to my last doctor Ive enjoyed the use of new technology. I have a hard prescription and Dr.Johnson has been able to help and meet the needs so far. I walked in on Friday (also late) and the front desk gal who I may or may not have seen before already knew who I was and had me in the back before I even said my name and I can really appreciate that.

Waited for 2 weeks for glasses and got call says they received after 2 weeks and said Glasses are scratch and needs to wait for another 2 weeks.

We really enjoy the quick and friendly service given to us. From the moment we walk in the door to leaving. And the little house is a bonus for my little one who doesnt even need glasses.

I used to come here as a kid and after going to big box places like America’s Best and Lens Crafters, I decided to come back and I’m so glad I did. Every one was very friendly and helpful. They were running on time and I was in to get my eyes checked at the time I scheduled. I only had a little wait time while waiting for the Doctor to come in. It was enough time to read their mission posted on the wall (not a long mission either) before he came in. For my parting gift he told me some wonderful Dad jokes that my daughter loved.

I love going to this place for my eye care. They never make me wait long to get into my appointments. And the appointments are usually over in about half an hour for a typical check up. Im also happy to say that all of the times I have been in they have always had my contact lenses in stock so I didnt have to wait. I will continue going back to these guys for the foreseeable future. I cant think of a single bad thing to say about them.

I go for Dr. Johnson and stay for help with my eyes. He is a cut above other optometrists Ive visited, especially in terms of competence, understanding, and humor. He does some pretty impressive magic tricks for patients and Ive always left with a smile on my face. The glasses and contacts Ive received from this office have always been the correct prescription and are priced fairly.

Very nice and friendly but unfortunately Dr. Johnson was unable to provide me with the correct prescription for my new glasses. After 2 attempts at getting the prescription right, I finally went to Progressive Eye care and was able to get the prescription I needed. If you have astigmatism or a potentially difficult prescription I would steer clear.

I scheduled an appointment online with them and when I got there they said that they didnt have it in there because their online schedule doesnt work very well, thats probably something they should mention for people scheduling online, after waiting for about 25 minutes and watching somebody who came in a good 5-10 minutes AFTER me go in, I had to leave because I made another appointment after that assuming it wouldnt take me 25+ minutes just to get in. Im really disappointed because it was the only time I could go in this week without rearranging my whole schedule but it looks like that what Im going to have to do because I need new contacts asap.

My daughter’s first eye-doctor visit, because she needs glasses, and it was amazing! The doctor was super nice and chill - made my daughter feel at ease with the whole thing. And the staff was helpful and enthusiastic. The office is so nice, too. So glad we found them!

Dr. Johnson has been my doctor since I was in elementary school and is just fantastic! I took my 4 year old daughter to have her first check up and was impressed with how well he and the staff at Riverton Family Eye Care takes care of children to make them feel comfortable and welcome. He can make anyone laugh, have a good time, and is very gentle spoken. The staff in the office are so wonderful and nice! My daughter already wants to go back!

The BEST eye place around!!! I have horrible eyesight and the glasses I get here are by far much better quality than anywhere else! Dr Johnson is great and so is his staff. Order was mixed up and it took a long time to get them and they were the wrong ones. I am happy to say that Natalie (SP?) was fantastic. She was so helpful and fixed my problem quickly and kindly. Ill be a continued customer.They also have fantastic quality. I have poor eyes and Ive never had better lenses. No warping or distortions etc. Ive tried the cheaper online places and they dont compare with how great these lenses and glasses from Riverton Family Eye Care.Friendly atmosphere great people. The folks at Riverton Eye Care are professional and approachable. I didnt have to wait at all and everyone I interacted with was personable and invested. The appointment was quick, painless and they even helped me find the best deals on my new contact lenses. This is my second time going there and Ill be back.

My elderly mother is a patient of Dr. Johnson. She had been complaining about seeing double and so we made an appointment for a check up. The friendly office staff got us in quickly. My mother suffers from dementia and is hard of hearing as well. She had a difficult time understanding the eye exam, how to put her head in the correct position, and what answers Dr. Johnson was looking for.. Dr. Johnson was extremely patient with her, repeating and rephrasing the questions until he was able to get the information he needed for a new prescription. He was amazing! The new lens came quickly and they put them in her old frames (which were in good condition) so they saved us some money. The new prescription seems to be perfect. My mother was thrilled to see snow and rocks on the mountain peaks. Dr. Johnson and his staff provide great eye care!

Great experience! Beautiful office, and very knowledgeable doctor. Eye exam was all digital and they have a different way to see I’m your eye, so NO eye dilation needed!!! Doctor gave me my new trial contacts and and additional pair of transition contacts that go dark in the sunglight to try. Went to this place after a bad experience in a sandy eye center. Will take my whole family there from now on. I don’t normally post reviews, but my experience was so great I had to.

I recently went to Riverton Family Eye Care for a full exam and contact appt. To be honest, the reason I chose them was because I wanted to pay with my care credit card, which their office accepts.I wasnt greeted with an immediate or warm welcome by the receptionists....however, the Optometrist, Dr. Jodie Johnson was wonderful! He was very personable and thorough! He was also wonderful with interacting with my 2 children I had to bring with me! After my exam, the post exam receptionist was great! She gave me all the information needed to choose the right contacts and payment options.I would definitely recommend Dr. Johnson!!
