I have been going to see Marielle for a few years, now. She has always been really nice and compassionate with me. I got surgery done on my eyes about two years ago, and she’s the one who operated on them. She was very patient and kind with me when I asked her a billion and one questions; she really helped put my mind at ease. A little over two years later and my eyes have never been in better shape. Very grateful for Marielle.

Dr. Young is the best of the best. We took my daughter to see Dr. Young for a second opinion and felt so confident in her approach. She was down to earth, honest, and incredibly intelligent as she explained the options of how to proceed. Although we moved out of state prior to my daughter’s surgery, we knew that we wanted Dr. Young to perform the surgery. We saw two doctors in California and did not change our minds. We are now 4 years post surgery and we are so grateful for the surgery Dr. Young performed that was incredibly successful. We would highly recommend (and have repeatedly) Dr. Young to any parents questioning where to go for their children’s eyes. She is worth the wait it will be to get on her schedule.

My husband took our son to Dr. Young for an eye exam today because he keeps blinking and rubbing his eyes.Dr. Young was very rude and impatient with him, barely taking three minutes to examine his eyes and all she said was he would need spectacles eventually but for now his vision was OK. This is the exact same thing she said eight months ago for my son’s first eye exam. We are not confident about her diagnosis and we will definitely be taking a second opinion from another ophthalmologist. Not only that, at the end of the exam, Dr.Young yanked a toy from my son’s hand so hard that the toy broke. Then she accused my kid of being responsible for the damage. All this while my husband was in the room watching her. My son was so shocked that he started crying. We have never encountered a ruder doctor here in Utah.My recommendation if you want to consult with Dr. Young : Bring your own toy to the consultation to avoid having her yank it from your kid.

I first went to Dr. Marielle Young when my daughter was born cross eyed and sought out many other Drs who were great with infants and eye corrections. I was very impressed with her love for children and patience she has with them. She is dedicated and passionate about her career and sees patients not a number. I took another daughter ro a different specialist because I was unable to get an appointment. When i went in for a annual eye visit for my first daughter, Dr. Marielle insisted on doing my other daughters follow up visit even though it was not scheduled. Now, both my daughters see her and love to go to there appointments. She is a wonderful provider and I recommend her to all my family and friends! If you want the best for your children, schedule with her.*Side note when making an initial appointment it could be scheduled a few months out if your schedule is not flexible.
