I have been a patient of Dr Friedman for 37 years. His office is so professional! His receptionist that he has had for many years is so understanding and very patient no matter how many questions you ask. Ann makes you feel so welcome and she treats you like family!!There is a reason I have been going here for almost 4 decades. If you looking for a GP and want to be treated like family give Ann a call!

Do not let ZocDoc reviews fool you. Friedman is all show no go. He has outdated beliefs and does not keep up with the latest advances in medicine. My father-in-law went to him before the pandemic and he missed some obvious signs of his issue which were later detected by his current physician. The office staff is also beyond rude and unprofessional. The nurse (Kristy?) has a severe attitude problem and does not care about human suffering. Avoid this business before he harms you and your loved ones.

Dr. Friedman is the real deal. I recently woke up with a terrible pain in my abdomen. I knew that I was in deep deep trouble when I called his office. Dr. Friedman examined me briefly and within minutes was on the phone with a brilliant young surgeon to operate that day.The hospital personnel didnt seem to grasp how serious the situation was...Dr. Friedman called to follow up with them. Proper tests were performed and they removed my appendix that day. Im truly grateful for him and his staff.Scot Sturdevant

Dr. Friedman has been my doctor for 29 years. What can I say about Dr. Friedman?Dr. Friedman is an outstanding doctor. A doctor that cares from the heart. I can go in his office and know I am going to get better. He is a first class doctor and just an incredible person inside and out. If I am ill I know I can go to Dr. Friedman and know I will get the correct diagnosis leaving with the correct prescription to make me all well. I remember one time I had bronchitis and he had his nurse follow up a couple days later after the medication was in my system to see how I was doing. That evening he followed up himself. Also, there have been many other times he has personally followed up to see how I was feeling. I have never had a doctor that cared so much about his patients and that have personally called to see how I was feeling after he diagnosed me. He is such a genuine person and takes his time with you to make sure you are leaving with the correct diagnosis. I always leave feeling relieved even though I feel awful because I know I am going to feel better soon. He goes down every avenue before I leave to make sure he has done everything he can to make sure he has made the correct diagnosis and prescribed the correct medication. This has been a tough year for all of us. Dr. Friedman was the first doctor to build himself a COVID testing site so you wouldnt even have to get out of your car. He built this with his own hands. It was a comfort to know that if I even thought I had the COVID virus I could go to my own doctor to get tested. This was back when there were very few places to get tested and you would have to drive for miles and wait for a long time to get tested. It was a scary time, but Dr. Friedman made it a little less scary by making sure his patients could be tested at a place where they knew the people doing the testing. When I saw Dr. Friedman this past year for my refill, and I was so fortunate that is all I had to see him for, even though he was wearing a mask you could still see behind that mask the kind, caring eyes he always has. He never gives up and is always there or a phone call away anytime of the night if I am not feeling well. When you go to the doctor you feel awful, but Dr. Friedman has a way of slipping in a small joke or looking at you with his caring eyes telling you it will all be better soon. He can be strict, BUT the only reason he can be is because he cares so much for all of his patients. He is amazing and I couldnt ask for a better doctor.

Its a real disappointment that my husband and I drove 45 minutes today to see his PCP Lawrie Friedman about 5 broken ribs and hyperparathyroidism(a tumor in his throat) but was confronted by a very rude woman in her 40s, not even getting to see his doctor. She asked what was wrong. He said a plethora of things-. She cut him off saying We dont have time for a plethora of things! He asked for a refund politely, she then yelled across the clinic Give that guy a refund! very irritability. My husband, who was personally referred to this place by an Emergency Room for his many deteriorating bones, was treated like garbage today for following up as instructed.Disgusted. Fire that horrible woman.

I was impressed with Dr. Friedman. He is not my regular physician, but was able to see me for a follow-up after a recent hospital visit. I did not feel rushed, appreciated the way his staff is handling Covid precautions and felt that he was an attentive listener. I would definitely see him again if the need arises.

The staff here is beyond rude. They treat you like a waste of their time over the phone. Specifically Arkeesha. Every time me or my wife call she has an attitude about youre call being an inconvenience to her. The Dr is great but refuses to cooperate with other doctors and their reccomendations. Will not prescribe anything scheduled even if you need it and the hospital asks him to fill it. These guys are the in and out type just collecting youre isnsurance and copay. Do not waste youre time here find a practice that really sits down and cares and communicates with the hospital when youre admitted. They didnt answer a single call from my Internal Medicine doctors or my GI doctors requesting an outpatient medication for me based on new meds added to my regiment. The arkisha lady needs to fired though. Or at least take her off the phones.

I am a cancer survivor. When I first had symptoms, Dr. Friedman diagnosed me as having vertigo and put me on higher and higher doses of meclizine that didnt work and made me sicker. My OB found it about a year later by doing bloodwork at my physical when I told her the symptoms I was having. I had an autoimmune disease too, it turned out. He missed that too. I do not recommend him.

I never leave reviews but after seeing first hand the gross negligence that this facility offers, I was more than compelled to. We booked a COVID test for my girlfriend roughly two weeks ago. They explicitly told us they’d call us back within two DAYS. When I called again this morning I was met with, “Oh it hasn’t been processed just yet.”The receptionist then told me to wait an additional 30 minutes and then she’d call back. I had to call the office AGAIN after 30 minutes just for them to finally tell me that no, she doesn’t have COVID. I’m not mad that we had to wait two weeks, I’m furious that a medical facility is allowed to freely tell their customers 2 DAYS and then have them wait 2 WEEKS. If you’re feeling seriously ill and want a timely response, I highly suggest going literally anywhere else!I understand that everyone makes mistakes and that they happen, but if you’re so overwhelmed that you can’t call your patients when you tell them you’re going to....maybe just be upfront about that :)

I am not sure what is going on with ZocDoc and all the positive reviews. Listen to the google reviews posted here so far because they are more in line with my experience. I was not feeling well, and had to schedule a video call appointment with Dr Friedman due to COVID concerns. I already got Covid tested, and that was negative, but the doctor still wanted me to come in again to get tested at his office. So based on my symptoms, he was leaning on a viral diagnosis...but then proceeds to prescribe me amoxicillin, which is obviously an antibiotic.I should have listened to my gut feeling that this was not the right route. I still picked up the amoxicillin and proceeded to finish my prescription. Horrible mistake. My body reacted awfully to amoxicillin in combination with an existing viral infection. I have dealt with weeks of spreading skin rash due to this reaction. This required me to schedule last minute appointments with dermatologists and other physicians due to how severe this reaction was. Almost all of them agreed that amoxicillin is likely the culprit. My brother is also a doctor, and when I discussed this with him, he said “Wow that is a rookie mistake. You don’t just prescribe amoxicillin without diving in deeper. There are other antibiotics that can be prescribed in place of something instead of amoxicillin. It’s just a riskier medication to prescribe over a simple video visit without doing any type of tests”. I would also like to point out that i am NOT allergic to amoxicillin. In proper situations, i have had it prescribed before and it worked the way it should have.In general, not a good experience. I also felt rushed during my video visit. He barely asked me questions other than the typical scripted COVID screen questions I.E “Do you have loss of taste?” He also then insinuated i schedule a follow up video call too in a few days, which I likely would have been charged too for sure. Probably give me a total of 10 minutes on the call before it felt like he wanted to move on in his day.Lesson learned: Don’t let ZocDoc in general for doctor reviews influence your decision. Cross against Google reviews as well to truly make sure you’re making the right doctor choice.

Had a first visit this week and came away feeling grateful. After several years of rush-in, rush-out clinics, my experience with Dr Friedman is so appreciated. His staff is professional, attentive. He is kind, empathetic and clearly a wonderful man. I was not the easiest appointment ever, and he earned my trust and respect immediately. I did feel that maybe I brought too many questions. 4 concerns, two dermatology related (listed as a strength on website) but I was advised to see a dermatologist. Two concerns in 10 minutes is probably all there is time for, and I get that. ;)

Very rude front desk staff. Very difficult to get a hold of or a call back and when you do they are horribly rude on the phone. I understand if I am just misunderstood or maybe I am asking dumb questions or Maybe I don’t know how it all works but when you have insurance and you just go for an annual checkup (preventive care) which is $100% covered by my insurance and you end up with a $280 bill something might be wrong so I called to ask about it. Took over a week to finally get a hold of someone who did end up calling me back and was very sarcastic and belittling me and then discovered it was actually the offices fault because they forgot to attach my insurance, and when I told her she was being very rude, she hiked it up the rudeness even more. Not good business. Dr’s are supposed to care for people and this office is not very caring. I wish I would have had the phone call recorded. I mean wow..... shocking how I was treated. I’ve never left a public comment that was negative but this one is well deserved and has happened several times now over the years by this office so I want nothing more to do with this Dr.’s office. It’s a shame because there are some very nice nurses and dr Friedman himself has been kind. He must be very naive to not see or recognize his front desk staff is ruining his practice. Been going for maybe 8 years.

We took vaccinations separately at this clinic and they refuse to provide itemized receipt. They are saying that since we took immigration exam immediately, they wont provide receipts for vaccinations. I can claim insurance for vaccinations and need itemized bill.Just to add Britney at front office is very rude. When they billed us for the visit they forgot to charge me for the vaccinations and we reminded them to charge!! And now they wont give me a itemized receipt.. Is this even legal?

Given the benefit of the doubt for far too long.I have now been off my blood pressure meds for a week because the Doctor decided that rather than refilling my script he would once again ignore the refill requests until I call and ask why he wont refill them. It is at this point that they tell me I am due for a follow up. Really? You dont call me? You dont email me? You dont give the pharmacy a reason. You simply ignore the requests and wait for me to call you and wait on hold forever or leave messages that go unanswered? Seriously this is a crappy way to do business. Avoid this office at all costs. Listen to these and other reviews. Save yourself the hassle. They are far too busy to care for you in any reasonable way.

I do not recommend Friedman Lawrie H MD’s private practice. Besides Dr. Friedman there is only one physician assistant, therefore, their time is limited, I felt very rushed. My general physician that I have seen my entire life retired last summer and I made it very clear when I made the appointment for Dr. Friedman that I was looking for a new general physician. I stressed to the receptionist over the phone the importance of me finding a good physician and why and then she asked me why I would be coming in, as if she hadn’t heard anything I said. Regardless of this, I still made the appointment, again stressing I am a new patient and I want to have enough time with the doctor to give him a rundown of my medical history as well as informing him about my life and background. Being who I am, I printed out the paperwork and filled it out ahead of time and arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment time, as most offices ask. I checked in and handed them my paperwork that I had prepared prior to the appointment, and then they handed me another new patient form that they said was not online and I need to read through and fill out. Well this form then tells you about his policy and practices, some of which I did not agree with, but due to the office having a cancellation fee, I couldn’t just walk out at that point. I arrived at 8:45, my appointment was scheduled for 9:00, I was not called to the back until 9:11, and the doctor did not come in the room until 9:33. Normally this is not uncommon, but he did not apologize for running behind and he then rushed through my appointment so he could move to his next patient at 10:00. The nurse that called me back was not personable, however, Dr. Friedman is slightly more personable. Prior to my appointment, I wrote down anything and everything I could possibly want to discuss with Dr. Friedman to make sure I would be fully prepared and waste as little time as possible. He showed no appreciation for my preparedness and rushed me through my list, and did not seem to care much about a few items on it that I find very crucial for my primary doctor to know about me. There are a few more reasons I personally will not be seeing Dr. Friedman again, but these are the main reasons for the most part.
