This place was fantastic. It was easy to book, very affordable and the stylist Debra was amazing with my son. We will definitely be back.

The shopping plaza is a bit congested but once you’ve landed a parking spot the shop is clean and bright. The Manager there is Jeanne and she is very good about greeting customers and provides individual attention to all her clients. Her specialty is hair color and she does an amazing job. I recommend to make an appointment in advance as this little shop is frequently busy and there is mostly always a wait if you haven’t made one.

My 10 Year old sister went to go get a haircut and chop a couple inches off and the woman cutting the hair said that it was very little feminine. I went in for a trim and there was a beginner they were using me as a practice cut!!! It took them one hour to finish my haircut because another lady had to finish it who was more experienced. Dont recommend go somewhere else!

Jeanne was awesome. She gave me an amazing haircut I love! Along with the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever had. Nice lady with classy Finesse —handled a very crisis situation amazingly!! Kudos Jeanne!

Its a place to get a no frills hair cut

Will never go back! The manager is so rude the first time we went she said as firing an employee In front of my son and I while getting hair cut completely unprofessional! it made even my 10 year old uncomfortable. We had 3 haircut appointments today booked in advance, I went to check in and she tells me she can’t get to us or maybe in a few hours but so rude as if I was doing something wrong. She wouldn’t even make eye contact and acknowledge I was standing there told me to move while she rang someone else up even tho I was checking in first And canceled my whole check in. So rude and unbelievable we will never ever go back!

I made an appointment for my daughter, we arrived 5 minutes early and were told it would be about 30 minutes. We came back 20 minutes later; the woman with blonde & blue hair was on the phone, discussing paint colors and an apparent issue she was having matching a color. After waiting without acknowledgment for 5 minutes we left.

I was looking for someone who could dye my hair with two different colors. I happened to call and was able to get Jennifer to schedule me. They charged a very reasonable price and she did an amazing job with the color. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I am so happy with my hair. Brook was amazing, she listened and was confident about what my ambition was. She had a grave challenge with my crazy lengths and layers but she made it so much easier to enable me to work with my hair.She was easy to talk to and was sooooo nice. If you are nervous about trying a new beautician, I recommend that you go to Brook.

If you have an appointment do not expect them to honor it.

The girl with the blonde and blue/purple hair cut my boyfriends hair for prom and didn’t listen to a word he said, he asked for a little off the top and a fade on the sides. And then politely asked if she could straighten up his side burns. She cut off his side burns completely and got scissor happy with the top. She only talked about how the day was almost over multiple times and walked away in the middle of the hair cut to change the music for a good 2 minutes. I don’t care if he was her last customer she should still care about how he wants his hair done.

When I walked in I asked what was the prices and she immediately said “we don’t cut extensions” uhm.. I don’t have extensions and when I told her that she asks if I was sure... no apology or anything... price sounded reasonable so I told her I want a light trim and several layers... During the haircut it was awkwardly silent, I tried initiating conversation and it was like pulling teeth... at the end my hair was SO SHORT! MORE than half was taken off! And when I got home I realized there is VERY LITTLE layering and it is UNeven. I have been trying to grow my hair for over 2 years now and I have to start all over again... it WAS almost to my ribs and now it barley touches my shoulders. I paid because I’m an honest woman but It looks absolutely awful, I will be warning friends’ and family not to come here, and I will not be back.

I really like this place, its the only salon Ill go to in Reno anymore. All the gals who work here are very personable and know how to cut hair. Its not too expensive, $20 with tip for a cut, and they will do touch ups if you want.They are also a full service salon, meaning they do coloring, perms, etc. So while they take walk-ins and are priced like a Great Clips, in my opinion they offer better service and far more options than most of the other chain salons.

This was the worst experience my family has had at a salon. I took my son to have his haircut and he left extremely upset. The first was walking in the door and not being greeted with a hello, hi, how are you, but with, whos getting their hair cut? The second thing was having my son explain how hed like to get his hair cut and having the lady say to him, that makes no sense, hey guys, listen to this, tell them how you want your hair cut because it doesnt make sense and then have the employees banter back and forth out loud on how it doesnt make sense. Wow! You made my son feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed! You could have talked to him in a different manner and not embarrassed him with your coworkers and other customers.He then showed her a picture and he didnt get the haircut that he wanted. His hair is alot shorter. Hes so upset! I sure hope that you dont treat other people the way that you have treated my son. We will never go back there and we will never recommend this place to anyone ever!

Horrible service

I went there once before but this time I was devastated. I went there just to get a simple haircut, tried to explain by a picture to the hairstylist what I want but she turned me into a monk. I am having hard time at work now 😞😞

Too expensive! They wanted over $28 to spritz water on my elderly hippie roomates long hair & trim it an inch.

Went in right as they opening and got right in. Ally is very nice and knowledgeable. Though my haircut came out okay, it wasnt like the picture I brought in...Not even close. Much shorter and I know I said I wanted it longer. Meh...itll grow out after all, its only hair.

Its in a great location right off the freeway. The employees greet you right when you walk in. If they have a wait its not more a 15-25 minute wait. I have been going to this costcutters for over 5years now. I always get a great haircut.

Get in pretty quickly l, even if you forgot to make an appointment. ONLY downfall. The stylists talk way to much to each other, that they will actually stop cutting your hair to chat amongst each other.

I normally opt to go to barber shops in lieu of salons because Ive always found that my hair doesnt get the same attention at salons.The gals here were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly and there was no wait time. The woman that cut my hair asked whether or not I was still running errands. I said yes, and she offered to rinse the hair off for me. Thats going above and beyond.I would recommend Cost Cutters to others.

Best customer experince I have had anywhere.  The girls here are always positive, happy and sweet hearts all around. I never leave unsatisfied with my hair cut. I always reccomend this cost cutters location to family and friends.

I went to this place to have my hair redone to a lighter shade or same shade as I have as the roots have darken already. The lady that assisted me has been nice however she wasn’t able to get the color that I was telling her. Instead she made my hair darker than the original color that I have!!! I paid money just to have my hair color ruined!!! How stupid is that??!!! The hard part was I was gonna have it redone to another Salon but I have to wait for a week or two! I will never come back to this place! If I can give a 0 Star I would.
