Right at home is a tremendous place to have care provided for your loved ones. My family had this company for close to a year. They went far and above to make sure my mother was well cared for. The caregivers provided were very well versed in the care of elderly people. The owner Gulraj is very hands on and makes sure every client is 100% satisfied. I would highly recommend right at home for care for family members

My husband and I needed 24/7 care while recovering from medical treatments recently. Gulraj Shahpuri and his team from Right At Home took excellent care of us. In particular, our day crew: Caroline, Cambrie, and Katherine, were super.As we were both immune compromised, the house had to be kept clean and dust-free: they were on top of it! They kept us well-fed and took us to and from our many appointments. Thank you RAH!

My 88 year old mother recently spent a week with my sister who lives in Redwood City. My sister works 10 hour days so we hired Right at Home to help with things my mom cant do for herself because of her bad arthritis and bad shoulders during part of her workday. Gulraj Shahpuri was very pleasant to work with. We discussed our needs and concerns for my moms visit and he was able to match a care giver to my moms needs. The care giver helped monitor my moms daily exercises, took her on walks and even drove my mom to visit friends. Hiring Right at Home gave us peace of mind during this visit. We will definitely use them again.

The caregivers from Right at Home have been wonderful to my husband and our family. When someone in your family is hit with a devastating illness, you have to find the right care team. That means caregivers and the office/scheduling team. The owner, Gulraj Shahpuri, is so supportive and caring to his clients that you feel like he is part of your family too. Gulraj will respond within minutes with answers to any questions you have and he is very easy to talk to. We have been using Right at Home for over 2 years and we are very happy and grateful to them. Shawna the owner is extremely communicative, sensitive and very clear in explaining what Right At Home can do for families that need extra help with loved ones at home. A dear friend is having a health struggle and RAH is ready to step in when the time comes. Its often a difficult decision to accept help, but Shawna is very experienced and understands family dynamics. My personal experience is with RAH in another location for our elderly mother 18 months later, its working beautifully. It is a huge peace of mind to know our Mom is safe and cared for when we cant be there!

Right at Home did a fantastic job taking care of my dad who was homebound following a stroke. Shawna and her team, especially Katherine, Edna, and Bo were amazing. We used Right at Home during a difficult time of transition for my family members and they really helped us to navigate the world of senior in-home care. Right at Home, Redwood City branch, is phenomenal. As my mother had just passed away and my father was in ill health, we needed help immediately. I interviewed 5 different agencies and when Shawna walked in the door I just knew this was the one I would hire. She is warm , funny, smart, and personable. Her receptiveness to what I needed and desired was refreshing. She had the best staff ready to go as soon as my dad was discharged from the hospital. The company worked with us to fine-tune our particular needs and her staff took THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE of my father. He was very fortunate to have such caring and attentive people in his home and we felt safe with them. You have to be concerned that there is no elderly abuse as well as the people coming in and out of the home are not stealing or not being attentive to his needs/issues. We never had an issue. They truly cared about my father and I never felt they had an agenda. Also, if someone called in sick, the care giver on site would not leave until a replacement was found. Unfortunately my father passed away just 6 months after my mother, but while he was depressed , sad and in ill health, he was also very much cared for and taken care of to the best possible level. I thank them all with my whole heart.

Shawna is extremely helpful and responsive. After speaking with her, she personally came to visit my fathers home and to talk with my family. I needed someone to care for him right away and she was able to accommodate me with scheduled caregivers. The caregivers were bilingual and very good. Im lucky to have found Right At Home to serve my needs.

Right At Home was invaluable in my dads recovery from stroke and heart surgery. Shawna (owner) and Julia (patient coordinator) met with us when my dad was still at the skilled nursing facility. This made the transition from snf to home very smooth. There were two caregivers – Helen, then Marie. Both were very kind. They really listened to our needs, kept up with his many medications, blood pressure checks, doctor’s appointments, heating up his food, and left us detailed notes every day. When he first arrived at the house, he was shuffling, struggled to climb stairs, had difficulty getting up off a chair, and tired easily. The PT would come to the house for an hour twice a week, but this wasn’t enough. He needed daily physical therapy to help improve his balance and regain muscle mass. They made sure of this. At the end of 2 months, he was walking uphill, can get up using just his leg muscles, and had no problems walking up and down the stairs. The improvement still impresses me. During the last 2 weeks, he felt so great; he had Marie take him to the grocery store. I think it gave him a sense of freedom again. I can’t thank them enough.
