I had the best experience here! I have been to Costco and Walmart and a few other places trying to find a good cheap option but I will NOT be doing that again. I live a little more than an hour away and I will still plan to make the drive to this place the next time I am in need of specticals.The ladies here are so nice and so helpful and the doctor is very through and explains things about your eyes in a clear and easy to understand way. They have really good options as far as frames and they allow a couple of payments to be made if full payment isnt covered by insurance. The girls are great at helping people find frames for their budget, but things they will still enjoy to wear. They have a really good collection of sunglass frames as well. If you have any eye concerns this is definitely a good place to go. Make sure you book in advance as they have a long wait...but it is well worth it!Thanks again Ruth and Nicole!!!

I have been coming here for years. Overall great place and definitely worth coming here as a primary eye care facility. Only one issue, not a deal breaker, but setting up an appointment online has never worked for me through their website. Call if you really want to make sure you have no issues.

The assistant helped me choose frames and found me glasses that I love. I came back to get collagen plugs because I have dry eyes and can’t use drops. Wow! Dr. Navarro is wonderful and the staff are very friendly. I work as a physician assistant in urgent care and I would recommend any of my family or patients to Dr. Navarro. Thorough evaluation, good bedside manner, clear instructions, recieved my lenses in 7 days, good quality glass.Got me right in and took extra time to see me. He discovered abnormal lesions on my retina and took time to take extra pictures as there is concern that these lesions may be linked to colon cancer. He even took time to explain things to me. And when I followed up with a GI doctor, took again extra time to discuss the lesions with my now GI doc. Ill be getting further workup in the next few weeks and Im doing well. Im grateful to Dr. Navarro and his staff for their high quality of work. This finding has likely been present for years, but was missed by other optometrists. And information like this isnt pleasant to hear, but it could save a life and the sooner you know, the better.

Always friendly and very helpful

Although my past experiences have been positive, todays experience has triggered great anxiety due to overcrowding in the doctors office during COVID 19. There were so many people in the office today, with masks falling down over their noses, and no places to sit, I am now worried about being exposed to the virus. After returning home and explaining the experience, I am now having to quarantine myself for the next 14 days with my family. This was the first time I ventured out to a doctor in six months, because of preexisting conditions. I will never do this again.When I first got to Orange Plaza Optometry, there were five other people in the office, so I stood outside to wait for the Dr. When I left there were at least ten people, no place to sit, and people were elbow to elbow. I couldnt safe distance myself at all! Shame on overbooking during a pandemic. I hope the assistants stay safe, as I am worried about their health.I do not recommend Orange Plaza Optometry, as it is a very unsafe environment.

I was instructed to come back for contacts, one week after my initial appointment. I had told them at the initial appointment that I didnt need to come back in one week but I just wanted my glasses and contact prescription. The receptionist there insisted that I come back after one week, and after that one week I came back, only to find out that I didnt need to come back at all. Staff and the doctor at this location are very misleading in their instructions, and theyre very good at insulting you once you have a complaint. I was told, straight from his mouth, by dr. Navarro that I was not an intelligent human being. I would suggest going to another place to get your eyes examined

I have been a patient of Dr. Navarros for almost 10 years now and have always been happy with the outcome. I have went to other optometrist in the area and they are less knowledgeable, so I decided to stick with Dr. Navarro. Because of him I learned I was having allergies (something Ive never had before), he treated my dry eyes, and helped me understand by explaining his diagnosis of what I have. I never knew what a prism was or even heard of it. Thank you so much Dr. Navarro and his staff for always providing us with excellent customer service and showing us that you guys do care about your patients.

Dr. Navarro´s office is conveniently located in the shopping center where I do most of my shopping. I stopped in one Saturday and was greeted by a friendly staff with smiling faces. The whole appointment took under 45 minutes and I came back and got my glasses fitted after they made them for me in less than a week. I would recommend this office even if you already have a current Eye Dr.

I have been going to Orange Plaza Optometry since my oldest son was 6 months old, (my oldest son is now 20), I will always return. Dr. Navarro is very thorough and explains things as he goes. I wish they carried more Gucci frames since I found them best priced there.

I have been a patient of this office for over 3 years now. I am up to my fourth pair of glasses, so today I thought to get some sunglasses. They need to have some more Gucci sunglasses that are for younger people. I found a pair of Ray-Bans that worked just as well I think.

When I walked in to Dr. Navarro´s office, I was a complete mess. My son came home with a note from his teacher that suggested I take him to have his eyes checked. I was so worried for my son that we made an appointment to see him the very next day.The office is nice and the people that work there are nice too. Anyway, I thought my son´s were bad, but the doctor explained it to us. He said that light comes to focus on the back of the eye and that my son´s eye had a condition that made the light come into focus wrong in 2 different places. He made my son wear these funny looking glasses while he was there and walk around with them to make sure he could see out of them before he made my son´s prescription.There were not a lot of frames that were fully covered by our insurance, but Manny found a blue pair that he like since blue is his favorite color. It took a while to get the glasses back from our insurance company, but they called us as soon as they came in.Manny loves his glasses. He says they make him look smart and his teacher said she noticed a difference in his attitude at school as well.Thank you Dr. Navarro and staff for all that you did.

Saw their promotion for exam and year supply of contacts for $200.00. Walked in and was seen with no problem. Exam was very thorough and contacts were clear and comfortable. Dr Navarro fitted me with mono vision contacts so I can see clearly far and near like I do with my bifocals. Got my contacts delivered to my house. Great staff and Dr. Thanks

I cant say enough great things about Orange Plaza Optometry. I came in with an eyeglass prescription for them to fill. It Is a prescription for my son who cant leave his bed because he is recovering from surgery. The optician told me that my son needed to be present so that the glasses could be properly measured and fitted. I explained to him that my son was recovering from surgery and cannot leave his bed. To my surprise he said no problem. The optician would actually go to my sons bedside and show him several frames for him to choose from to make sure he got what he wanted. The optician has stated that they have done this for several of their patients. WOW!! Now, thats customer service. I picked up my sons glasses several days later and my son loves them. The frames are comfortable and they were exactly what he wanted. You dont find customer service like this anywhere else. I have schedule appointments for my family and have told others about this office.

Weve been going to Dr Navarro for many years and have never been disappointed with their service. As a new diabetic, Dr Navarro has been wonderful in explaining issues related to my eye exams. Weve raised all our daughters with Dr Navarro and are happy to return for our yearly eye exams. They have always been courteous and made accommodations for my access by wheelchair. They are thorough and very professional and we have always had the utmost confidence in Dr Navarro and his staff. Ive been going here since 1998. The service has been consistently great. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are open on Saturdays and it is convenient because of my work schedule. Walking distance from work so I can take an hour out of my day to get my eyes checked, and Dr. Navarro is fantastic. He has a sense of humor, he doesnt keep you waiting, and he seems genuinely interested in both your eyes. I do not have vision insurance, so I am always given one of their packages for contacts or glasses. Best value in town. Dr. Navarro has always taken pictures of the inside of my eyes at no additional costs, unlike lots of other places do.

Overall great experience. I feel Dr. Navarro is adept at his craft, and he paid close attention to my description of my symptoms. I spent very little time waiting around and the front office employees were professional. However, I felt that the options for the lenses I was prescribed were vaguely described by the technician. It felt slightly pushy/sales oriented. Ultimately my questions were answered honestly, and I suspect when I get my glasses I will be happy. After a bit of experimentation, the lens combination Dr. Navarro put together made my vision seem like 4k when is currently 720p.

Doctor is great, but the stuff was talking about clients and how if they get the clients to sign something they wont have insurance pay for it and pocket extra money. Then a client walked out mad because the glasses was wrong she couldnt see out them.

I am a very satisfied patient of Dr. Navarro, his staff is pleasant, professional and efficient. The doctor didnt just check my vision, he looked at the overall state of my eyes and prescribed some plugs for my chronic dry eyes, (see what I did there?) And now my tired, bloodshot expression at the end of the day is GONE. Ive never had another eye doctor so thorough.

As I left the office, I realized that has such a great time with the Dr., that I walked out with my Sunglasses give away entry form in my hand. I went back in and dropped it off and thanked the staff again for making my examination fun.

I have been a long time patient with Dr. Navarro. Last year I had Kaiser insurance and went to Kaiser for my eye exam. Well, even though I still have kaiser, I came back this year for my eye exam because his eye exams are more thorough. As a Diabetic, I get the best care from him and his staff.

I have never experienced a doctor with the level of confidence that this one has. He does great work, but comes off a little arrogant. Nevertheless, doctors are not here for entertainment, they are here to be doctors. The lack of a perfect score is due the the fact that I had to contact the manufacturer of my glasses to get the frames replaced rather than going through where I bought them. I appreciate the help of the staff once I came through a second time and apologized for my behavior previously. They were willing to corporate with me by giving me the papers necessary to return my frames.

Brought my mom because of constant irritated eyes. Dr. Navarro gave her some glasses which really helped her vision and also treated her for dry eyes. That treatment really eliminated the irritated sensation. Thank you Dr. Navarro for caring for my mom the way you did. I highly recommend this office.

Great Experience. I walked in to ask about some prices. I was asked if I was diabetic and I told them I was. They recommended being seen right away because I was several years over due for my diabetic eye exam. Dr. checked me and he found some bleeding and referred me to a specialist. It shocked me at first because I thought I was seeing fine. Dr Navarro showed me pictures of the inside of my eyes and I was greatful for the excellent care he gave me. Staff was very good to work with. I will be back

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!Dr. Navarro is an incompetent optometrist.I paid for a contact eye exam and right away told him the prescription felt wrong. After trying FIVE different prescriptions, I still could not see clear.I came in three days later because my eyes were hurting and I had to try on another SIX different prescriptions in ONE visit.Dr. Navarro then convinced me it was because of my eyes being dry, he then inserted plugs into my tear ducts. Your eyes should adjust in a couple of hours. They never did and of course, he charged my insurance for this.I had to come in on three separate occasions wasting more of my time on a joke of an Optometrist and money on gas. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE!!!Do NOT believe all the great reviews you see here, DR.NAVARRO initially DELETED my first REVIEW!!!I also found it very ironic how after I posted my horrible review, he received so many positive ones in the same week....I did some research and found that DR.NAVARRO is the one who posted MANY of the GOOD REVIEWS here.Sincerely,Disappointed

Best customer service I have had with an eye Dr. I bought glasses and contacts at a great price. Dr. Navarros staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. During the exam Dr. Navarro explained everything t me and answered my questions. Even though I have a history of dry eyes I was able to be fitted with contacts made for patients who have dry eyes. My contacts were delivered to my home in 3 days. I see great and they are very comfortable.See you next year !!!

The optometrist was nice but....my low review comes from the customer service aspect. It has been a month now and my glasses are finally available for pick-up. It should never take a month when there are 24-hour glasses available elsewhere (however, my insurance only applies to Orange Plaza - the other closest place is 30 miles away).Also, when you call them, it often goes to a recorded message (not voice mail) even when they are open so you cannot get a hold of anyone.I was told, three weeks ago by phone, that my glasses were in. I drove a half hour to get them and they didnt have them.When I finally got my glasses, they said that the order had been under my maiden name and they had my glasses all along. My first name is unusual, so they should have thought it odd that there were two customers with that name. Also, when I went there three weeks ago, they asked if I happened to see my glasses in their storage room, labeled by name. I looked for my maiden and married name and they were not there.Therefore, I wont be a returning customer.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Navarro. I just love his new staff. They are an improvement over the previous staff. I have trusted my eye health to Dr. Navarro and do recommend him to every one. I was reading the reviews and for the patient who bought frames at Dr. Navarros office and bought lenses elsewhere, its not the frame that makes you have problems...its the lens. If those frames were not the right frames to put progressives on, why did that optician at the other location put lenses in them in the first place. I have never, ever had any issues with the progressives prescribed at Orange Plaza.

I was surprised to see that this dr actually had some frames that I liked. I found the frames here are better than Walmart frames. I got some Hugo Boss frames that make me look good, but I really wanted some of the Gucci´s in the front display case but they were too expensive for me. LOL

I have lived in the IE for a little over 13 years now. Ive tried several different optometrists, from Wal-Mart to independents in Yucaipa, Redlands, and Loma Linda. Ive never been 100% satisfied with the clarity and comfort of the contact lenses dispensed at these other optometrists, but Ive settled, they were close enough.Gotta tell you, I have NEVER had such a precise, detailed exam, where the doctor and staff were so exacting. I CANNOT BELIEVE how clear my vision is with this prescription, and the comfort of the Bausch and Lomb Ultra lenses is incredible. Ive been wearing contacts since 1979. With these lenses I swear I cannot feel a thing in my eyes...totally undetectable, and the clarity is unbelievable.I highly recommend Orange Plaza Optometry. Excellent service and professionalism, and very reasonable prices under my insurance plan. Thanks, Dr. Navarro, Steven, and Bernice. I highly recommend your office to anyone needing professional service at a fair price.

WORST optometry experience ever! My experience with this office has been a NIGHTMARE. I purchased expensive frames from Orange Plaza Optometry with the employees assurance that they were wide enough for the progressive lenses I planned to purchase elsewhere. Once I had the lenses put in, I found I was unable to see properly and was told from experts it was due to the frame size. I asked Orange Plaza Optometry for a refund on the frames and they refused. I left a message for the owner to call me and never heard from him. Customer service is extremely poor.I asked employees if the business was accredited by the BBB and they said it was. I found out this was untrue and they actually have an F RATING with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Had I known this and read the poor online reviews about this business, I would never have purchased from them.

My visit to Dr. Navarro´s office was a reluctant one. I had been having problems with my eyes for a while now and have kept putting off seeing the eye doctor for fear that I was getting old and that my eyes were not working anymore. The Dr. asked me a lot of questions about my daily activities and we both discovered that my problem with my eyes came from spending years works more than 4 or 5 hours each day on computers. He explained to me that what I was suffering from was called COmputer Eye Strain, and that it could be corrected. Boy was I glad to hear that. So the Dr. prescribed computer vision glasses for me and they work great. I had to go back to get them adjusted once because i sat on them. The helpful staff adjusted them and I haven´t had a problem since. Thanks Dr. Navarro.

A waste of time. The people at the front desk were not welcoming, quite rude, and incompetent. A toddler could do a better job. The “optometrist” was utterly arrogant and not professional. I attempted to converse with him about my concerns and he failed to say a word back to me.

Worst place in town. They don’t care about their patients and when something goes wrong in their end it’s always somehow the patients fault.!

I am sad that there is no zero stars rating which they deserve more than one star rating. They made a mistake on my trifocal glasses which I have paid $400 with the exam and frames. I ended up with the simple reading glasses I could buy same reading glasses in Walmart for $8. The best of all,I was waiting for more than three weeks on those simple reading glasses. When I asked manager to speak with Dr Daniel Navaro he said that he doesnt want to speak with me!!!!!!!!. Yes, I spent $400 at his business and he didnt want to speak with me for 5 minutes. Think twice before you decide to make glasses there and keep in mind this: if they make a mistake you will never get your money back because of their No refund policy. There are so many better places in Redlands where you can be respected as a customer and where you can make right glasses for you

Let me start off by saying that I highly recommend Orange Plaza Optometry, and Dr. Navarro, in particular. Being a Redlands native, Ive bounced around between offices since I was under the impression that it really isnt important to select a particular doctor.Dr. Navarros office was able to see me the same week I needed an appointment, as I was having discomfort with the contacts that I was currently wearing (received from another office). The other office wouldnt see me for nearly a month.While there, he correctly diagnosed my astigmatism that other doctors overlooked, and that has made my prescription -much- sharper and more comfortable.More impressive, though, was that the doctor was happy to take the time to discuss all of the equipment and procedures we were going through. It actually made the appointment interesting, and even fun. Dr. Navarro was even kind enough to offer a discount through his office to make the cost of seeing him that day more affordable, since my insurance didnt cover everything.Considering those things, I would definitely recommend OPO.

RECEPTIONIST ARE FRIENDLY, HOWEVER THE DOCTORON THE OTHER HAND IS EXTREMELY RUDE!!! HE HAS NO PATIENCE AND IS ALWAYS IN A RUSH!!! I TOOK MY TWO CHILDREN HERE AND THE DOCTOR SAID BOTH OF THEM NEEDED GLASSES. I ASKED WHY AND HE SAID TO SEE BETTER I THEN ASKED CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT IT IS THAT THEY HAVE HE SAID ITS VERY COMMON, ITS NOT A BIG DEAL. THEY NEED GLASSES TO SEE BETTER. I ASKED IF THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO GET A SURGERY WHEN THEY WERE OLDER TO CORRECT THEIR VISION AND HE RESPONDED FIRST, YOU HAVE TO COME UP WITH $5,000, IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS WERE ALL DONE HE POINTED TO THE DOOR AND WALKED ME OUT OF HIS OFFICE INTO THE WAITING ROOM. I URGE YOU TO DO YOUR RESEARCH !!! THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST OPTOMETRIST I HAVE EVER ATTENDED!!!!!!!

The best eye exam I have had in a long time. I never had been able to wear contact lenses comfortably. The contacts always felt kind of scratchy in the vision was always slightly off.Dr. Navarro said that I had dry eyes and needed to wear a specific brand of contact lenses. I have always worn Acuvue lenses, and Dr. Navarro prescribed a different brand.He went further and actually treated my dry eyes and now I dont even feel my contact lenses. I still have to make sure not to wear them more than 10 hours a day, but other than that, the quality of the vision is fantastic and the comfort is amazing. No other eye doctor hasnt even looked at the cause of my contact lens discomfort. Dr. Navarro explained in clear language what I needed to know about dry eyes and make sure that all my questions were answered. This is my first time coming to a private doctor, before I had always gone to Costco or Walmart. I guess coming to a real eye doctor really pays off.

Orange Plaza Optometry has lost my sons contacts. Our first visit I was asked by Diana to get out of a chair even though I am handicapped so that she could put it at an empty desk for aesthetic reasons. Because she could not see that I was handicapped she questioned me and fell short of demanding proof. Diana also insisted that I pay for my sons contacts before they checked the trial pair to see that they worked. They did not and since they were not correct they tore the first day. We returned to get another pair of trials and Diana accused us of rough handling the first pair (the contacts just sat in his eyes). Diana said that my son would have to somehow wear them for a week so the doctor could evaluate their fit before they would send out the multiple sets that I was forced to pay for in advance. After arguing for some time at the lack of logic her request contained she allowed us to see the doctor again after waiting for and hour and a half. Then he gave my son a second pair of lenses. My son went to his follow up appointment and they arranged to have his lenses ship to the house. The contacts never arrived. Just now I talked with Matt. He took my phone number and said he would look into the problem and call me right back. After about 40 minutes, I called back and was told the he would not check into it until tomorrow. With anger he explained that there where patients with appointments ahead of me. I explained that my appointment was two months ago and that I was clearly ahead of them and should get service in a timely manner. He was angry with me and would not continue to work on his case instead he just wanted to argue that I did not have a right to any time from him today. I returned to the offices and found that Matt had carefully researched the problem finding that we had done everything we were supposed to do but the contacts had not been ordered. He had a pair of trial contacts ready and promised to see if he could over night the lost boxes to my son who is visiting friends up state. Horrible attitude. Questionable HIPPA practices. Would not trust your personal info with them.

Horrible Front desk staff. They never call for follow up appointments. They forgot to order my wifes contacts...It has been over two months and still no contacts...And when we went to get a refund..they refused..HORRIBLE!!!
