I suffer from chronic migraines and have since I was 4 years old. I have been on multiple medications throughout my life for them. I was in a horrible head on collision during my high school days that led to tension headaches that would linger. I am also a hairstylist that puts a lot of strain and tension in my neck and shoulders. My migraines pretty much run my life and my cousin is the one who told me to try acupuncture. I thought why not, Ive tried just about everything. I work at the salon a few doors down from Flow Community Acupuncture and decided to look it up and saw that J.P. had ALL five star reviews and I am here to give another! I was a bit nervous like most people would be to think about acupuncture but it is so relaxing and the environment is peaceful that I have actually fallen asleep forgetting you are in the room with other people. I have been migraine free for almost a month now! My pain overall is 70% reduced. I need to follow up with cupping to reduce the rest but I feel better than I ever have and it has been a very long time. I highly recommend coming here especially with a busy schedule like mine. J.P. was super nice, educated me on what was needed and even accommodated his busy schedule with mine. I will definitely be back for follow up appointments!

Fantastic acupuncture at a ridiculously reasonable price, the owner is the most kind, welcoming, and compassionate individual who makes sure you get the treatment you came for and make sure you feel heard. If you are having any fears or doubts regarding acupuncture, this is the place to try. JP has gone above and beyond expectations so many times for me and my mom, cannot recommen him highly enough any form of physical, mental, and emotional issues. I personally have seen tremendous results in my anxiety, insomnia, eyesight, and chronic foot and wrist pain. Truly a tremendous of the community that I personally cannot recommend enough.

The most relaxing place i have ever been to in my life.

Jean and JP have been absolutely phenomenal for my health. I was going through a health crisis this past summer, and found out about them. During that time, I probably went almost everyday for 2+months as it helped lower my anxiety levels and bring my body into a healthier state of calm so it could heal itself. I still go regularly, and find myself feeling so much more balanced, calmer, relaxed and in an overall improved state of wellbeing. The atmosphere is incredibly healing and relaxing, but the best part is Jean and JP. They have been incredibly attentive and caring for all my needs. I would not be enjoying acupuncture treatments if Shasta community acupuncture clinic hadnt opened in my community. I am a low income senior so typical acupuncture practitioners are out of my reach. Jean and J.P. are wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable acupuncturists, plus they are so available its easy to fit a treatment into my day.

I started coming here a year ago after seeing a flyer at my gym. I tore the labrum in my shoulder & had been dealing with chronic neck and back pain. My MD recommended surgery for my shoulder pain, but that wasn’t an option due to my job. I’m a dental hygienist & would likely need a year off work if I had surgery. I’d never had acupuncture before and was definitely skeptical, but I was willing to try anything.I felt results in my pain reduction after my first treatment, and after that I was hooked! I’ve gone regularly since then to help treat my aching muscles from a hard work week of contorting myself around patients. Both the acupuncture and cupping (on Saturdays) have done wonders for me. I’ve referred my co-worker for carpal tunnel, my mom for anxiety, and several patients for different ailments like seasonal allergies and quitting smoking. They’ve all had equally wonderful things to say.Acupuncture isn’t scary or painful, like many people fear, and it’s so easy to make appointments online. Jean and JP, the owners, genuinely care about their patients & they’re 2 of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They have absolutely helped with the longevity of my career and my quality of life. I showed up yesterday having what seemed to be a panic attack (out of breath, pain under my left rib cage, tears, unable to find a comfortable position without feeling the pain which was also all around my neck with feelings of being choked - these are all new to me - just a month). He calmed me down and in minutes labored breathing stopped and I eventually calmed down. After a long while of finally relaxed state, I even fell asleep. I walked out with just very minor pain around my neck - all other symptoms left. They are very kind, reassuring and just all around great! I would bring my own family here - if they live here :-)

First time in accupuncture and I felt very safe there with Jean. Great atmosphere, I was honestly shocked how relaxing the whole thing was. And its extremely affordable to boot. Im excited to continue and see how my body feels from the treatments.

I started out 6 session ago(4wks) awake during a 30min session.I said I want to be like those patients, who were resting peacefully.After todays session I have achieve some of that peacefully relaxation, was in their for 1.5hrs...After 21mo of being in CHRONIC PAIN around the clock, no matter what pain medication I was on, Im free of about 70% of that pain on a daily basic.Ive been able to reduce my medicine in 1/2 that helps with withdraw symptoms from extremely high doses of pain narcotic, that Drs insisted I be on, Ive also reduced the pain meds to every 8hrs.Its truly amazing how you start to feel when you release all those toxins that build up over 21mo.Truly an amazing experience, I would recommend them to any one on chronic pain.Thank you to Flow Acupuncture
