I’ve been a patient with Dr C for more than 25 years. In those years I have learned to trust his opinion and treatment that he has provided. He has always provided a relief of my RA pain as well as possible and when one treatment failed, he has always had another one to try. He listens to his patients and his calm reassuring manner makes for a wonderful Doctor and great friend!

I have been seeing Dr. Chelewski for 7 years nows. Naturally there was a couple of get to know you visits that any two people go through upon first meeting and he was polite and professional. After getting to see him regularly we have been more relaxed but still polite and professional as are all of his staff. He and they are also friendly and accommodating.

I have nothing good to say about Dr. Walter Chmelewski. Like others, I have experienced an aloofness, uncaring, self-important demeanor and a bedside manner that is dreadful. BUT THAT IS NOT THE WORST THING ABOUT HIM. At my first visit, I felt he made a snap, impulsive diagnosis and he spit out the same treatment options I received from primary care physicians. I initially made the appointment with him because he is touted as a specialist. He prescribed a medicine that ultimately resulted in a serious complication and my primary care physician took me off of it immediately. I know these things happen sometimes however I was sure to inform him of the complication and I asked for a new course of treatment. He had the audacity to prescribe the EXACT SAME med for me and offered no other information or alternatives. Additionally, his front office staff and nurse(s) are cold, rude and their conduct seems as if patients are annoying them for interrupting their office gab. I have even witnessed other patients having issues with them while waiting for their appointment. I have been to Dr. Chmelewski 4-5 times and the arrogant office staff etiquette is a constant and regular behavior. I canceled my follow-up and requested my medical records so I could change doctors. The nurse informed me that I needed to pay $25 in order to pick up my records, however if I am requesting to send my records to another doctor, there is no charge. She informed me that all doctors offices do this. No, that practice has not been my experience in the past with other physicians and specialists. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY OWN HEALTH INFORMATION???? Their policy seems unfair and overly capitalistic.

I agree with the other review about his bedside manner. As soon as he walked in at my first appointment he labeled my diagnosis before even talking to me and put me on a shot and antimmflamatories, i constantly had to call the nurse who was very rude and they kept giving me different ones. A month later i saw him he labeled me with another condition and i was notified the other nurse lost her job. After that every appt was with his PA who was nice but always had to consult with him, and i asked to see a different doctor and was told i couldnt. I left that practice because i did not like this doctor who did not care about his patient

I have been going to Dr Chmelewski for about 18 years. I would not trade him for ANY other doctor. I had a very bad experience with another doctor before Dr C. I have moved to Hickory NC and now drive 4 hours to see Dr C. I have nothing but good things about him. I always recommend him when some one needs his help. I would give him 6 stars if I could.

I had no issues with the doctor as much as attitude and rudeness from his nurse. I am much happier at my new Dr.

Dont care about anything except his pocketbook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont go
