This is a huge office for Salvation Army. It looks beautiful from the outside. My kids and I were waiting for the arrival of the Greyhound bus to the station that is located right across the street from them so we needed a place to hang out and run around. It was a good place for that and no one told us that we had to leave. Thank you!

Follow the rules here. Proves there are still some good people in the world. They will help you into a place of your own if you work hard for yourself and stick to the rules. Can be rewarding if you are mature and serious about getting on your feet. Safe place.

I am officially not donating anything to any shelter ever again. I really think some people like me needs to start paying attention. I deeply feel some of these women need their child/children taking away from them If they cannot provide. Come on, have anyone notice that most shelters have the same people that live in their shelter 3 years or more & they act like they dont care. I have been donating for 5 years to shelters. I have seen enough. I really think Social Service & a government investigation really need to get involved & start placing kids in good loving homes, take away any government assistance from the parents & make where they cannot have kids. I feel a very deep sense of laziness. What are these workers doing that suppose to help them? They need to get investigated too as well.

Another horrible place with uncaring staff, just about all of these places just want money. I was living here with my kids and working at the time, and I wasnt able to meet with my worker to explore ways be self-staining. I wrote her notes and emails explaining that I couldnt do our meeting in person and so we agreed to set-up phone meetings instead. We had about one or two phone calls and then she continued to write me up for not meeting with her in person. Now if you get enough write ups you get kicked out. So I took a day off work(PTO) to see her in person and ask why I was getting written up, when we had talked about phone meetings during my hour (requested) lunch break when it was convenient for her).If she didnt call I tried her and she wouldnt pick up so I left messages. She informed her supervisor I was being hostile to her and she didnt feel safe and they told me to leave. I requested to speak to the Salvation Army commander and he stated that ruling would stand. I never threaten her but I was upset because I knew what would happen if I got more writeups. My kids were in daycare, I had my own vehicle and I was working in Cary, so there was no way to meet her weekly and I had paystubs to show. We just needed a place to stay while I saved up money to get a place(deposit), I did all my chores when I got off and kept to myself. They would I have preferred I didnt have a job, car, and gotten everything from them, instead for learning to correct my problems I guess.

You got a woman staying here asking people downtown for money & diapere. People have been complaining. They need to take the child/childern from their mama, put their kids in loving homes, make sure the mother cannot have any kids, take away any government assistance they receive. They need to make a law stating that you need to make a certain amount and have a licences to have a child. People needs to stop having kids If they cannot take care of them.
