I started my NACA journey in September 2021, it has been a great experience thus far. My counselor has been very communicative during this process and also very quick when it comes to replying to emails and sending out necessary paperwork. NACA is a great program that allows individuals like myself who never thought buying a home was possible. I love the fact there is no closing cost or down payment. That is one of the main reasons why people feel like they cannot purchase a home.

Our family has been working with NACA and our counselor for the past year to get us into shape and ready to become home buyers. Due to the limes we are in it has all been by phone and things are a little slower because there aren’t too many people working at the office, but that is understandable. Our counselor had been amazing helping us step by step to get all our paperwork in and ready to get approved! We are so excited that we are so close to being first time home owners all thanks to NACA and God for putting them in our path. Love what they are doing for all of us who have had a difficult time w/ all the other loan sharks! They are a blessing! Thank you!!!

We had our first intake session with counselor Ms. Bellamy and she was very helpful and informative. A very patient person, that explained the process as my wife and I worked on completing uploading the necessary documents that were required. I cannot say enough about Ms. Bellamy and her passion in helping us through the process. She truly is an asset. For the first time I have hope in making our dream of owning a home a reality after years of renting. I am looking forward to the next step and definitely recommend NACA. My advice is to prepare as much as you can before the initial intake after you attend the meeting. There are lots of required documentation, but the time put into it is well worth it. Especially budgeting and saving, which we have been diligently working on, but it teaches you to plan better.

I had great intake session with my Housing Counselor, Ms. Bellamy. She was patient and thorough. Let me emphasize the patience of Ms. Bellamys character, because she was kind-spirited in her willingness to answer my questions and even offer clarification on things I was confused about. She did not try to rush me, but carefully reviewed my documents and assisted me in gaining better clarity about housing expenses in the various areas I was looking and the impact of property taxes relating to affordability, which allowed me to really consider my options when I get to the next step. I tried to be over-prepared for the intake session, but of course in doing so, I overlooked a detail here or there, but Ms. Bellamy was reassuring. She is very personable and while being professional, all while conducting the intake sessions remotely, and I felt more at ease with the process especially with the moments of laughter sprinkled into the professional nature of the discussion. Ms. Bellamy is truly a gem who exudes such a positive spirit and a clear guidance of how to move forward in the next stages with NACA. I feel more prepared and hopeful about continuing to progress in through the NACA program. I wish Ms. Bellamy the very best and send so much positivity and light to the Raleigh office.~TAP

I am currently working on getting NACA Qualified. It is such an exciting experience. As a minority woman, I am grateful for programs like NACA which allow me to afford more home by having the best interest rates I have ever seen. It is a lengthy process that tests your dedication and commitment to affordable homeownership. However, many have successfully done it and I hope to, as well. Initially, it was hard to get in contact with anyone from the company, but they have improved the process and it is getting better. I am happy with my Housing Counselor, Ms. Bellamy. My wife and I bought our first home through NACA 13 years ago. Owning our home has helped us to build some significant wealth with the housing market the way that it is today. We are currently going back through NACA to sell this home and buy our second home. NACA is the best housing program in the world. No closing cost (which can total more than $10K), no down payment (range from 5 to 20% down...a $200K homes down payment could range from $10K to $40K that most people dont have). Honestly, the process can be tedious, staffing shortages make for long periods of time between counseling sessions with the NACA agents, but NACA helps prepare you to build wealth.

Very frustrated with this company. We began with them back in November 2020 and are still in this holding membership intake process. There are not enough counselors for the members they have, our appointments are months out at a time. I dont hear back from my counselor in a timely manner when she knows I had to put in my 2 month notice in order for her to receive my rental history. I paid the fee 2 times and our information has not even been submitted. I feel scammed. Older members should have more priority versus them trying to accumulate as much fees as possible with new customers. Very bad experience!

This has been a true experience. Even though it has taken me a little longer than anticipated to complete the program it has showed me with hard work and dedication I can accomplish anything. I have become more responsible with my bills and budgeting to make sure that I make payments on time and improve my credit score. If I wouldnt have entered the program I wouldnt have been as strong willed to keep my score at a steady rate and improve!

Me and my wife been working towards our dream house with the help of NACA, and one thing I must confess is, they are the most helpful lenders we’ve met in the market! Keep doing that what you do!!

I am just getting started but so far everything has been going very well. I found it easy to navigate and upload documents to the web file online. I researched majority of everything online so I hardly had any questions for my mortgage counselor Darryl, but he was very patient and informative that if there were any questions that I forgot he pretty much answered it already. Im very excited to start this process.

Straight forward! To the point! Great program! I have always dreamed of having a home for my family but the process is so time consuming, very demanding, stressful and of course a financial strain making the dream harder to reach but thanks to NACA and my Housing Counselor, Ms. Fain, my dream of being a homeowner will soon become reality. Ms. Fain has made the first phase of the application process as easy as learning to walk, she has laid all of the requirements on the table, answered all my questions thus far and followed up on items needed or required at each meeting. Even though I am in the early stages of home ownership I will refer and tell all of my family members and friends about NACA. Thank you NACA for helping realize that there is hope of owning a home. Keep up the great cause and helping those that do not think it could happen.

I had my first intake appointment in June and webinar in February so far my experience has been slow with them. My Naca counselor is very professional and knowledgeable regarding the process. I would definitely recommend the NACA program to others! Just the process can be very frustrating do to everything being only on the computer now. Ill keep you updated on my journey with each counseling session.

The NACA Raleigh office has been very supportive during the home buying process. They are readily available to assist and always answered questions I had about the process. I would highly recommend working with NACA and making use of their experience and expertise in your search for your home.

Firstly, the reviews are overall positive because members are REQUIRED to post a POSITIVE review as part of the approval process. However, Ive had a terrible experience with this NACA office. The mortgage counselor is unresponsive and unprofessional. He missed multiple appointments. They take on more clients than they can handle, cash their fees, then ghost them. I spent months uploading documents that the counselor never reviewed. He never did his job. Its basically a waste of time unless youre priority (very low income).

I would like to say working with this program has given me hope that I will be able to own a home one day. I feel confident every-time I get off the phone with my mortgage counselor Daryl. I’m always walking away feeling like I’m on the right track and making the right decision. Very thankful to be a member of the NACA community.

My experience so far has been great. Lourdes was extremely helpful and patient. She helped me navigate the online web file and answered all my questions (trust, I had A LOT of them). Darryl was recently assigned as my mortgage counselor and he has instructed me on next steps. I am just getting started but so far so good.
