If delivering with a commercial truck, you have to go in on the side street behind the bank on the corner, not the main entrance!

Not bad for delivery. Took a little while because they had a problem with dock plate but once they asked me to move to another dock they started unloading me. Spacious to maneuver

Great volunteer experience. It’s easy to schedule and they have various shifts available. Everyone wears masks and gloves while working.

Its great to be able to volunteer for an organization like the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. They supply so many meals and support for kids and families that are food-insecure.Good and supplies are donated by grocery stores, farmers, and other sources. The Food Bank sorts and repackages the incoming goods and prepared packages and boxes to be given to soup kitchens and schools through eastern North Carolina.The Food Bank had many different volunteer opportunities. I have volunteered several times and enjoyed every minute. One of the most enjoyable operations Ive done is during damaged goods. These are usually slightly items that people wont buy at a store but are still perfectly good. Items are sorted by type, (water, other drinks, dry goods, canned goods, etc.). Its a lot of fun to participate in the repackaging, knowing what works normally be wasted food will go to someone who needs itThe last time I was at the Food Bank, we prepared emergency relief boxes to areas effected by Hurricane Dorian. In three hours we were able to box 25833 meals. Inedible!Im looking forward to being able to volunteer again at the Food Bank.

Absolutely the best food bank Ive ever been to in the United States. I have volunteered at many, used money when unemployed and helped friends in Need and disabled and terminally ill also get Services through their well-organized system. Jerome Antoine Stephanie Hillary and Marco are exceptionally kind and non-judgmental and extremely diplomatic.

Great way to give back to society. I visited this place as CSR activity of Lexisnexis, it was good experience.

Nice clean facility serving 34 counties in eastern and central North Carolina. they get a lot accomplished and extremely efficient with the budget. It is a great blessing to be part of this amazing charity

Dont deliver a load here. I went to check in, the guy told me to get down off the ramp and walked off. I sat there for another couple hours, and got no response. They could care less how long you sit and wait. Very rude people. Dont deliver here if you value your time.

What a clean and well organised facility! Staff are so helpful and our dropoff couldnt have been easier. I had no idea theyd supply the weight of our donations immediately, which definitely gives you something to brag about. This is a great organization and I love their transparency. Thank you for making sure no one goes hungry ❤️

This is a major operation that makes good use of volunteer time for a tremendous cause. We felt like we were in the back end of a major regional food distribution hub, and we were. The volunteer program is very well run. We will be back.

Took several hundred dollars of groceries and cleaning products after Hurricane Florence and was enthusiastically greeted outside so never even needed to park and make multiple trips carrying heavy boxes. Great volunteer team of folks unloaded my SUV, thanking me repeatedly, and letting me know how hurricane relief was progressing. I’ve taken many carloads (Costco!) after other hurricanes and always feel such gratitude for the hardworking folks @ the Food Bank. They are a much-needed resource for our community.

!CALL THEM FOR DIRECTIONS!As a truck driver I would say this is a very nice place! If you follow the directions on their PHONE message it is easy to get into. The docks are easy to get into except maybe dock 8, but still easy if they move the pick up in front of it, but there was no one here when I was here. The place is clean! I dont know if there is a possibility for overnight parking nearby. Ill check and get back to you later.

Wow! This place is awesome and doing such good work in NC! Its clean, organized, and the people I met were very helpful and informative. There are many opportunities for volunteering and even allow kids 5 and up to start helping in a volunteer capacity.

Our Rutgers University alumni group had a glorious time volunteering here. About 20 of us sorted and bagged apples and sweet potatoes during the morning shift. Going back next May.

I dropped off about 600.lb off red & white & gold potato this morning! And I saw all the young peoples there to volunteer is was great thing to see their ❤.great job FOOD BANK of NC.

The Food Bank makes a difference in the lives of people in my community! I have a chance to help my moms pantry in Henderson: Holy Faith Temple CFAP Food Ministry while on break from school, and I am always amazed at the hard work she puts in! Our trips to the Food Bank always impress me. Even on the raw, rainy day after Christmas, the Food Bank and its employees were cheerful, committed, and hard at work! The work Holy Faith and the Food Bank put in translates into real help to real people in places where hunger and poverty are chronic concerns. The Food Bank is a great place to give back! Your time and donations go to help people in effective, immediate PRACTICAL ways.

Visited as a community service day with work and it was great. The employees and volunteers had very clear guidelines on what we were supposed to do. It was not chaos as Ive seen with a lot of volunteer activities in the past.
