This was my first visit for a second opinion. Dr. Grossi was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining my condition and options. I am very happy and pleased with my visit with him and have my total confidence and trust in him and his staff and am looking forward to returning for my procedure. I specifically picked Dr. Grossi after an extensive search and review.

After having a horrible experience with a surgery in 1989, I was not too excited about having surgery again. Dr. Grossi and his staff couldnt have been more comforting and supportive. He really cares about his patients and takes the time you need. I woke up from surgery in no pain, it was like a miracle. At some point I will need another surgery and I will only go to Dr. Grossi. I work at Duke and saw him in the cafeteria and waved. I know he didnt recognize me, but was so kind and thoughtful. Hes just an all around good human being. Thank you Dr. Grossi.

Today, October 25th, marks the one-year anniversary since my wife Sandy had a brain tumor the size of a racquetball removed by Dr. Peter Grossi. On Oct. 21, 2019, after noticing that Sandy was dragging her left foot and had a slightly slurred speech, with a referral from our PCP, my daughter and I took Sandy to the Duke Raleigh Emergency Room. After a short wait, she was taken to an exam room, and then taken to have a CT done, where a tumor was discovered, and a Glioblastoma was diagnosed. She was admitted, and the next day our family met with Dr. Grossi, who explained in detail that surgery would be needed. We agreed with his recommendation that a Biopsy would be done, but on Wednesday he suggested that since the tumor would be removed regardless of the Biopsy results, he would like to go ahead and do the surgery on Friday, Oct 25, 2019. Friday morning came and Sandy was taken to the OR. Our family waited in the waiting room patiently watching the Video of my Wife’s status. After a little over 4 hrs Dr. Grossi came to meet us and gave us the “Good News” that the tumor was removed and all went well. A year later, Sandy continues to exceed expectations and is nearing the completion of her 12 chemotherapy treatments.I do not have enough words or accolades to describe Dr. Grossi. He is extremely professional, compassionate and caring. The staff at Duke Raleigh, from the receptionists, radiation team & nurses and every other doctor during and after this experience were beyond amazing and we cannot thank them enough.Dr. Grossi is an outstanding Individual to whom our family owes a debt of gratitude for giving my wife, mother and grandmother back to us.Sincerely,Jerry Leppart

Dr Grossi has been very attentive to me and my neck/lower back issues due to a Staph infection. When I call he and Chris are on it like “white on rice!” Would recommend him without reservations!

Thank God for Dr. Grossi! I would recommend him to anyone! He removed my moms brain tumor Dec 2016. He made it possible for me to have 3 more months with my mother! Brain surgery was a SUCCESS & she was on Coumadin, so her surgery was MUCH riskier. She passed away in March, but that was bc the cancer in her ovaries had already spread passed her brain/spine. (She chose not to have hysterectomy, thats main reason cancer spread further out of her control). But she wouldve died sooner, had it not been for the incredible work of this doctor! If you can get through that time consuming office staff where u wait a long time for appt? Its well worth it to see him. Thats my only criticism is the long wait time, but I think thats more to do with the office staff--not the Dr. 😊
