Dr. Berlin is incredibly knowledgeable and I am so thankful for his care. I love that he listens to my concerns and takes his time with me at every visit. Finding the right doctor can be a process so I realize how lucky I am to have found him. I highly recommend anyone looking for an endocrinologist who actually cares about his patients to see Dr. Berlin.

A horrible experience from start to finish. I came to Dr. Berlin with an already established diagnosis. He made it very clear that because my diagnosis was so rare, he knew very little about it and “we would learn about this together”. This made me wary from the beginning, as to the fact I was not looking for a medical provider to learn WITH rather than looking for a doctor that would help guide me through my diagnosis. I decided to take the leap with him and from there, he ordered THIRTEEN blood tests at one time “to be as thorough as possible”. After more visits, Dr. Berlin’s nurses failed to even order one of my MANDATORY prescriptions needed for another one of his required tests. He completely forgot to go over an MRI (the whole reason why I came to him in the first place) and seemed to be convinced I had underlying diseases which I had no other symptoms for.When bringing all of these issues to his attention, never in my LIFE would I have thought the outcome of a concerned patient- would be that of a health professional yelling at me and my spouse. I wish I were exaggerating when I state that my spouse and I were yelled at. Dr. Berlin was quick to raise his voice and tell us that our concerns were never made aware to him and his nurses were never in contact about these issues… which raises the concern of how well this staff communicates with one another. He also had the audacity to tell my spouse that his opinion was WRONG for feeling like we were not a priority, and asking him “are you so good at your job that you’re not allowed to make mistakes?”. Mistakes are allowed to be made. Yes. We are all human. But as a health “professional”, you should be able to take ownership and criticism without verbally assaulting his patients. Dr. Berlin then went on to try and immediately end the meeting telling us this was a waste of his time and he had no issue releasing us out of his care. I told him that I wasn’t going anywhere without my test results.This has been the worst experience with a health professional I have ever witnessed. Patient care should not be “mistakes slipped through the cracks”, or “fires being put out” (direct quotes from Dr. Berlin)… I shouldn’t feel like an inconvenience, a burden, or a test guinea pig. My health matters. My thoughts and concerns matter.My opinion matters. Even if this high tempered man doesn’t believe the same. No patient should ever feel belittled or cornered by someone that you are supposed to trust with your well being. Unfortunately, that is exactly how I felt while in his care.

Dr. Berlin is a compassionate and thoughtful doctor. He spends the time with you to listen and explain your treatment. I appreciate his time.

I’ve just begun treatment with Dr. Berlin, I originally scheduled an appointment with him because I wanted a second opinion on how to treat my hyperthyroidism. I was immediately relieved after talking with him just for a few minutes and hearing how he thinks outside of the box and makes it personal. I’m so much more comfortable proceeding with treatment or surgery because he explains everything in detail and keeps you involved. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Berlin and I look forward to working with him over the next year or so.

I have nothing but high praise for Dr Berlin and staff. After many decades of going to Doctors who didn’t spend any real time with their patients, listening to their concerns, it’s refreshing to finally have a Doctor who has compassion and the drive to do what is necessary to find the underlying issues for your health issue.

Dr. Berlin is simply the BEST! I have been to 4 other endocrinologists and none of them could diagnose or figure out what was going on. I went to him with severe thyroid disease so bad I couldn’t even get out of bed. He listened, he heard what I said about having medication sensitivity. He did bloodwork no one did before, he went slow with my treatment to make sure my body took to the medication. He does follow ups frequently to check levels so you have the best chance of healing. I can’t tell you how much better I feel and it’s all due to his diagnostic abilities and how much he cares. Not only is he a good doctor, but he’s such a relatable person and shares conversations with you just like an old friend! I’ve recommended to many friends and neighbors with full confidence that he can help them.

I have been going to Raleigh Endocrine Associates for many years and have enjoyed a great relationship with my doctor, Dr. Berlin. He is kind, caring and listens to your concerns. Even though I have moved to another area I still drive 3 hours to see Dr. Berlin and his staff. They are the best!!

My mom has seen this Doctor 4 or 5 times. My family has been thrilled with the difference in her health. Mom really liked him, the PA, and the staff. Sadly, Mom was told she can not set another appointment unless she gives a credit card to keep on file. Mom doesnt own a credit card. I called thinking mom misunderstood. I spoke with a very courteous lady who informed me my mom was correct. No appointment can be made without a credit card on file. I told her mom doesnt own a credit card so she said a debit card can be used. WHAT???!!! DEBIT card kept on file?!!! Mom doesnt own a debit card either so ... Thank you for taking great care of Mom until today. GOODBYE Dr Berlin and staff. Im hopeful we will find someone who will accommodate the elderly who prefer not to own credit/debit cards. Heartless, just heartless.

Dr. Berlin is the best Endocrinologist I have ever seen. I’ve had thyroid disease for 8 years now and have seen numerous doctors (due to multiple moves). Berlin was extremely thorough, spent a lot of time with me asking questions and actually listening to my symptoms and concerns. I went in for a follow-up and he spent time going over my lab results and ultrasound. He has excellent bedside manners and was concerned with my overall well being. I was extremely impressed and I highly recommend.

I just left this location today and I would have given a 0 but the nurses were nice through this worst experience of my life in any doctors office. My appointment was set for 2 things: an ultrasound and a follow-up to discuss results 15 min later. The ultrasound was completed in a timely manner but the other appointment never happened. I inquired about getting my results and leaving after being told the Berlin was 1.5 hours BEHIND! The nurse was as nice as she could be and tried to assist me but she was told to ask if I could reschedule. Whoever asked her to ask that was asinine to think I would reschedule after sitting for over an hour. She proceeded to see what she could do to get the results to me and then I was called back up to the desk when I was approached like an animal in the street. Berlin came out with an attitude and wanted to know what I wanted him to do. I had no idea who he was because he did not introduce himself at all. He was UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, and down right RUDE! He had the nerve to ask if I wanted him to kill patients and said he was getting pulled from one room to the next. All I want is my results and he wanted to read them first instead of handing them over to someone else who had TIME Management skills. I had to walk away from him and he proceeded to fuss at the nurse. Then when he left, I went back to the desk to ask them to do whatever they could to send my results and to my surprise out comes the doctor from the back into the waiting area. This idiot is still trying to talk and embarrass me and then proceeds to touch my arm trying to ask/pull me to come to the back to discuss further. How do you have time to argue and walk around when you are already 1.5 hours behind and the office is about to close in the next hour? I was done with the whole situation because at this point he had not only shown his ignorance dealing with people but now he is trying to put his hands on me (someone you dont even know). You guys should do something about this so called doctor because he is a LAWSUIT waiting to happen. I left to cool down for 15 min and came back to speak to someone in charge. I met the Practice Administrator Bradley and he apologized and treated me like a person. I explained what happened and then another incident happens. Dr Berlin knocks and opens the door....tries to explain himself while I was speaking to Bradley. He is definitely not someone I want CARING for any of my needs. I hope I never have to experience a person like this again in life. It is a shame that you call yourself a doctor. Thank you Bradley for speaking with me and I look forward to speaking with you when you can send my results. I have had time to think and process this experience. If you are OK with sitting for an afternoon and possibly not seeing the doc, then Berlin is the choice for you; otherwise ask for anybody else.

I meet doctor Berlin in February 2019, since the beginning he was a Great doctor and excellent human being. I’m very happy wit his advices and recommendations. The staff and team are wonderful and dedicated.

There are 3 specific experiences that I want to share. First Ms. Webb at the front desk is very friendly and super efficient! Secondly, Dr. Berlins nurse/assistant, Brittany I think?, is super kind thorough and adds a great personal touch to every experience. Lastly, I want to express my appreciation for how Dr. Berlin works with me and he sincerely has my best as his first concern. Dr. Berlin takes as much time as I need to answer questions and he explains complex details in effective ways that makes it understandable to me.

**I hope Dr. Berlins office/family/medical board see this review because he should NOT be allowed to practice medicine** I work at a doctors office and know how detrimental bad reviews can be so Im typically not the type to leave a negative review but since I went with this practice because of the positive reviews and was let down I figured I would warn any new patients looking for care. I saw Dr. Berlin and while his nurse was amazing and beyond sweet, he was HORRIBLE and I dont mean that lightly. I went to him post cancer treatments with many symptoms leading to an endocrine issue. The first appointment he spend trash talking his family and life while writing down my symptoms in between complaining. He didnt go over anything with me just sent me for lab work and wrote me off. I blew it off and figured maybe he was having a bad day as we ALL do at some point. Lab work came back and I went in for a follow up appointment. The whole appointment was spent talking about his upcoming beach trip for the holidays and how unhappy he was having to go. Not ONCE talking about what my lab work could mean regarding the symptoms I was experiencing. This was now the second time he treated my appointment like he was at the bar with a friend. I was fed up but agreed to do some more lab work. As we were wrapping up the appointment with the nurse and him he began trash talking the NEXT PATIENT he was seeing. Talking about another patient WITH ME, using her by name and discussing her medical care. THIS IS BREAKING ALL HIPPA VIOLATIONS YOU CAN BREAK! One of the other nurses even heard him and made a comment about him breaking HIPPA. My next lab results came back normal and he blew me off. Dismissing all the symptoms I had. Thank you for NOTHING Dr. Berlin. I hope you see this and turn your practice around.

Dr. Berlin and his staff continually amaze me with their level of care and sincere concern for your well being. They are the most accommodating medical practice I deal with when it comes to booking appointments, taking extra time for complicated treatment discussions, pharmacy follow-ups, etc.Dr. Berlin has treated me for over eight years for numerous endocrine diseases. His knowledge of the latest diagnostics and treatments is second to none...and I truly believe he has significantly extended my life.His compassion and bed side manner have also been off the charts. He spent extra time discussing my conditions and treatments with my wife even though he had already explained everything to me. It was his idea...he wanted to make sure we had as little stress as possible as I went through the treatment regimen.Every now and then he runs a tad behind...but it is rare and it is usually when a patient needs a little extra time. Once youve been that guy and needed some extra time...you will appreciate the small delay. When this happens, his staff is exceptionally adept at communicating and setting a realistic expectation.I can recommend him without any reservations...I even sent my mom to him...and shes been a satisfied patient for over four years...and is willing to drive the six hours to see him a few times a year.

Dr.Berlin took care of my mother For years and years. Dr. Berlin was one of the reasons my mother lived as long as she did. He took the best care of her. On top of all that he spent so much time with her in the office making her feel comfortable about her disease teaching us both how to treat and deal with it. I have never seen such compassion in a Dr. As well as his staff. What Dr. Answers and returns your calls within 30 minutes when its important at 10 pm on a Saturday night. When my mother passsed away who showed up in person at my home to say he was so sorry none other than Dr. Berlin. Been going to Dr Berlin for almost 20 years, through many office staff changes. Hes a wonderful doctor who listens to patients and keeps up with current diabetes/ endocrinology information. While there can be a wait in the office on occasion, appointments management has constantly improved.

Dr. Berlin is a very good doctor and very knowledgeable about the various medications to treat diabetics. When examining the patient he is very through and will allow his patient to ask as many questions as they like. A very likable man.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Berlins for almost 20 years. I have numerous endocrine issues and Dr. Berlin has always been proactive. He takes all the time I need to have my questions and concerns addressed. The times he has been running a little behind I know, once he is with me, I will have his undevided attention.There was an instance when there was an elderly patient with really low blood sugar. Dr. Berlin came in to my room to tell me he was sorry he was running late but he had to take care of this patient because they couldnt get his blood sugar to go up. We all hate to be kept waiting but it is reassuring to know that he would do the same for me or any one of his patients. He truly cares.Dr. Berlins nurse and staff are great, too. I cant count how many times I have called the nurse always to receive a call back by the end of the day or within 24hrs at the latest. f you want a doctor who is professional, caring and willing to go the extra mile for you, Dr. Berlin is the one.

I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Berlin during a time when I really needed help. I wasn’t sure what was going on chemically with my body. I have a pretty complex case. The whole experience starting with the check-in person, the nurses and phlebotomists made me feel at ease. I found the staff to be friendly and Dr. Berlin’s medical knowledge incredible. I received timely results on my bloodwork, and Dr. Berlin explained them to me thoroughly. Since then, my wife and I have recommended him to several people and they have told us they had good experiences as well. I would not hesitate to see Dr. Berlin again and I continue to recommend him whenever someone needs an endocrinologist. I really think he’s one of the best.

Without Dr. Berlin my wife would not be here today. We saw him when my wife, a stage IV cancer patient, began to have diabetic symptoms brought on by her cancer. He recognized the severity of her situation, and had her admitted to the hospital. There, she was put on IV insulin until her blood sugar returned to normal. Dr. Berlin and his staff were a phone call away, to guide and care for her as we transitioned back home. My wife was one of those patients who threw off the office schedule due to a severe medical event, and am thankful that Dr. Berlin took the time to address our emergent situation that day. If my wife and I have to wait a little longer at the office, we know it is because Dr. Berlin could be with a patient at their most desperate moment, like we once were.
