After 3 quotes from different HVAC Companies we decided to go with Yellow Dot Heating and Air Condition. The process from quote to installation had its bumps that were overcame with agreement between all properties. Working with Jeanette and Nelson was a pleasure and they even price matched another HVAC service provider to keep the business local. Installation took 2 1/2 days with 2 technicians. Pleased with install, but we need to make the pad look better than how the HVAC technicians left it.

I scheduled an appointment by phone with a very personable “customer engagement specialist.” When the person who was to come, a “lead” technician, had not shown 45 minutes after the appointment time I called back to make sure he was still coming. I was told he was on his way, but no estimated time of arrival was available. When I asked if it would likely be within 30 minutes the 2nd rep said “hopefully before.” After waiting 30 more minutes I called again and cancelled.I certainly would understand if possibly the tech got tied up on another job or there was an emergency, but guess I’ll never know because there was no communication. Not a good sign, and I don’t appreciate driving a half hour each way wasting my time and gas only to have to find a different company to repair or replace an older furnace that is not coming on.

After almost 10 years using Yellow Dot, I can no longer recommend this company considering the ordeal we are going through right now. We have been without AC and now no heat for 3 1/2 weeks. We had a $17,000 brand new Lennox system installed in 2018 by Yellow Dot. Still making payments on it and it has to be a lemon. We have had issue after issue. The technicians come out and fix it, it works for a few months, then stops working again. It seems the technology is ahead of Yellow Dot, as the blower motor has blown out and apparently a software update is now preventing the new part from working properly. After escalating to using a field supervisor only, Kevin has tried his best but nothing has worked. Now we are at the end of our ropes. We have been promised a call back from the Operations Manager, and 2 days later have heard nothing and Kevin is no longer answering our calls. If this issue is not resolved we will have to take media and legal action. Would not recommend this company to anyone at this point.

Upon moving into our four-year-old, well-kept home, we set about making sure that all systems had been maintained and periodically serviced. There was no existing HVAC tuneup contract—but Yellow Dot’s logo was on our thermostats, so we gave them a call. Excellent decision! Service tech Maximilian was prompt, knowledgeable and thorough. We’ll be seeing him or one of his associates twice a year into the foreseeable future, knowing that our double-zoned heating and air conditioning will continue to reliably keep us comfortable.

Great experience during unpleasant times. A/C was out when we returned from the beach Sunday afternoon. Yellow Dot was able to come out the next day and provide a solution to resolve the issue.Kevin Rabon was the Service Technician who performed the service and he was excellent. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and helped educate me on the system function, testing he was performing, and resolution of the issue.Based upon this experience, I would highly recommend Yellow Dot and Kevin.

Had two very friendly technicians arrive to check on my ceiling fan and fix wiring to switch (was fan and light in same line, needed to move fan to second switch). Also had them check two smoke detectors, replacing one. I think everyone was very friendly, timely and am glad they came out. Four of five stars because it was VERY EXPENSIVE. Cost $300 to tighten the fan, switch the wire and replace one smoke detector while checking on the two. The did come same day, which was a good plus.Thanks guys! I do recommend.

Way too expensive... for essentially 20 mins of work ... charged $400. I liked them when they installed my system. They told me at the time that I had free inspections and then later told me I did not. So that paired with this $400 bill for replacing a part that strangely went bad 2 years after the system was installed has pretty much soured me on Yellow Dot.

The technician, David Bird, arrived ahead of schedule which was great. It was a wet and rainy day and he showed respect for our home when entering and exiting. I had several questions about our HVAC system that he was able to answer. He gave me some advice on how to save energy when using the system to cool our home. I would definitely use this Yellow Dot location again for our system maintenance.

I am not satisfied with their pricing. I dont see integrity and transparency in their pricing. I had scheduled to replace my Lyric Thermostat display under warranty. The technician told we will cover this under warranty and quoted a labor of 383 dollar. I got taken back with the price and when I talked to the office they quoted back to 220. Again the staff was not able to explain me the reason for the quote. This seems to be very high and not reasonable. Last I spoke to the manager he is coming up with a quote of 250 and he said for warranty it is a different pricing and couldnt provide justification. I am left to decide to pay 250 ( on top of it additionally 99 dollar which I had already paid for the visit) and get it fixed. Their pricing is costlier than the actual thermostat. I dont see a point of the manufacturer warranty here. When I scheduled this call they should have atleast given an heads up about their pricing for warranty. I spent 99 dollar for no reason now.

I used them for routine HVAC maintenance , install of a new Mini-split HVAC, and replacement of the entire A/C component of my main HVAC.Maintenance did nothing other than check voltages. He did not check drain that was blocked or the coils that were extremely dirty and partially blocked. A/C failed and they could not document the problem with certainty, so I had another firm with the proper sensing device come document the problem. I only used Y-D to replace the A/C because they had access to the coil we needed. It was nightmare with multiple visits. After installing new A/C in the HVAC, they did not do a complete check of the entire unit so I do not know if I need to have them right back out for fall visit. They purely lack quality oversight of their technical field staff who are nice and intelligent, but lack any guidance at all. Just a check list would help them. Use someone else.

The technician did not seem to know all the companies processes such as cleaning out the outside unit of debris such as leaves. I called the company after I was told by him this was not part if the service and the company called him and it was done. Took all of 10 minutes to do this .Also, When I asked him to pull up the history of maintenance he failed to tell me I had replaced a capacitor 2 years prior for $220 and proceeded to sell me another one for $256. When I called and emailed the company for an explanation I was told a senior tech. Woul call me. No call back and 3 days have passed so I’m doing the survey I recd . I would have to chalk this up to poor customer service. I have been a long time customer but this last experience has given me pause about renewing a new maintenance contract.

I have used Yellow Dot once before in 2015/2016 for an AC repair. When I had AC problems recently, I went back to them. this was a mistake and I would not recommend them. They actually never got to my house this time around because of excessive miscommunication. Do not call them unless you are able to wait a very long time and work off of very little information.

I called on Tuesday to schedule service for my parents house. Earliest they could get us in was Friday. Tech came by on Friday (close to 5 pm) and said he couldn’t work on the unit since it was frozen and couldn’t schedule for next day as offices were closed. We asked that he put in a request for after hours service and he said he would but recommended that we call too. We called the after hours line and the rep said someone would call us back in 24 hours - no call. I called again on Monday and gave a call back number and no call back as of today (Thursday). Thankfully we found another local professional who was able to come and temporarily fix the unit while we wait to order and install a brand new one. My parents are elderly and being with AC in southern heat is less than optimal die their health. We were very disappointed with the lack of service and follow up, esp since we use Yellow Dot for our own house

Would not recommend. Had a service contract for 2 heat pump units, a split unit and humidifier. Technician came 2 days ago and was here for 20 - 30 minutes. When I asked about the humidifier, he said his company doesn’t service them. When I asked about the split unit, he said he didn’t know anything about them. Yet, I paid for a service contract on them. When I called, they said someone would call me. To date, no one has called and they don’t answer their phone.

Yellow Dot was the company responsible for installing our HVAC when our house was built in 2019. During the winter of 2019 we had an issue and were able to easily call and schedule a technician to come fix the issue under our warranty. After that, we have employed them from Spring 2020 to the present to do twice yearly maintenance of the system. The price was competitive, similar pricing to other companies we had quotes from. The staff a d technicians have been responsive and, in general, top notch. This year we had a small glitch when we scheduled our spring service and the technician was running late enough that he would not be to our house before 8pm. He did not call to let us know, however when I called the following Monday (service was scheduled for a Friday) the employee who answered my call was incredibly apologetic and did his best to fit us in quickly. I appreciated this so much! Overall, we have had a great experience with Yellow Dot and plan on sticking with them for our HVAC maintenance.

Well, we have a 2 yr old system. These are installers. One of our thermostat stopped working which is covered under warranty for 5 years. Yet they wanted to come and confirm thermostat being faulty, charge us $100 for that and then replace it under warranty. Which could be easily avoided if they had just listened to us and just brought thermostat along with replace faulty one. $100 for coming in to confirm something which is obvious. Another thing , because thermostat is through them manufacture won’t replace it and on installer can do so under warranty.

I called Yellow Dot for an estimate on a water heater. They came out on 1/27/21 and I agreed to the estimate and was able to get it installed the same day. The plumbers name was Dwayne he was excellent. He cleaned up behind himself and also wore his mask as I did to protect both of us. I would recommend him for all plumbing needs.

My HVAC has been working properly for years had a checkup performed last Thursday, the tech stated the system was good to go. My AC broke 3 days later. They were called to repair the system and it was fixed for an hour and a half. Now they cant come back until tomorrow. When I was a service tech if I didnt fix a problem I was immediately sent back to fix the problem.

Do not use! I was under a maintenance plan with this company. Called multiple times to have someone come out and look at our air conditioning unit. Finally someone came out said the unit had to be replaced and someone else would come out and discuss. Again no follow up from Yellow dot. I had to call multiple times to see what is going on and what the next steps were in getting the unit replaced/repaired. This went on for 3 weeks! In the meantime I reached out to another company. They sent someone the next day and repaired the unit. The refrigerant was low. And you wanted to replace an entire unit due to low refrigerant. This was definitely a lesson learned. Will not use again.

Our air conditioner / heater stopped working suddenly. Yellow Dot had a repair guy at our house within an hour. He diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes.He then said either he could fix it for a fee or explained that it is a simple repair and I could do it myself for cheap. Quinn was great. He showed up early did a thorough job. And when I told him what problem I was having he identified it right away. Something other techs with the previous company Santa Air brushed off as user error. He showed me I had some burnt out wires that was causing the system to cycle on & off. They are not the cheapest HVAC people out there but I guess you get what you pay for. In this case quality workmanship & very knowledgeable.

Not good diagnosis in first attempt; they charged and informed us that problem with fan. This fan took 5 business days to delivered to workshop. In next appointment, they found fan is fine but issue is related to Ignition control board (Lennox) which is going to take another 3-5 days. Completely disappointed ☹️

I called for a service person to fix my heating system. I was told the service person would be by after waiting four hours the guy shows up in a uniform that he looked like he had been wearing for a week. then he gave me the diagnosis that i needed a new system before even looking at my furnace. After a half hour he still said I needed to consider upgrading my 7 year old furnace. I told him to fix it and if it still doesnt work Ill consider replacing it. He went back to his van and I followed his vehicle was trashed. I told him that Ill find somebody else to fix my furnace. Im not having a slob back in my house especially after trying to get me to replace my furnace the entire time. After he left I called the office number and spoke to Holly that told me she was one of the managers. She told me the technician had been working all day and that he is a professional technician with years of service. I couldnt tell. The competition completed the repair to my heater which was only a capacitor. I didnt need a new furnace. I wouldnt hire these guys to fix a table fan. Go somewhere else.

When one of our HVAC systems stopped working, Yellow Dot sent a technician out quickly to check the system. He gave us our options to either repair the current system (which was about 17 years old) or replace it. We chose to have it replaced by Yellow Dot. The crew came when scheduled and completed the work to replace the HVAC system in a timely manner. The job appears to have been done well and was done for the quoted price (no surprises). Afterwards, we had a little difficulty communicating with Yellow Dot to have them schedule the required local County inspection (which is why (I have given an overall rating of 4 stars rather than 5 stars), but this was resolved and the inspection was scheduled. Overall we have been a customer of Yellow Dot for about 15 years with respect to our HVAC systems and have found Yellow Dot to be high quality, responsive and professional.

Called yellow dot to install a whole house dehumidifier. The salesman came out quoted a price of 4780 and said it included all of the required permits, plumbing and electrical work and will be done in a day. Payment took no time and it was scheduled April 21st. The morning of April 21st came and at 830 I gave yellow dot a call to see when I could expect the technicians. The customer service rep was super friendly and basically said a manager is going to have to give me a call back. About an hr later, Andy (cant remember his name) said that they placed an order for the dehumidifier but were sent a humidifier. We had a laugh because these things can happen and he said that unless I wanted my crawlspace to be a jungle, no installation was going to happen today. He asked if I was brand loyal and I said no, but I didnt want them to install something janky just to check the box of completing an installation. He said that he actually recommended a honeywell unit over the aprilaire and we had it scheduled to be installed on April 23rd. After we hung up, what stuck in my head was he said crawl space and now I questioned whether or not he knew what I needed. I gave him a call back and explained that this was a whole home dehumidifier not a crawlspace and then described our house. He then said that he recommended a 90 pint unit over the 70 because its a whole home unit. April 23rd comes and the technicians show up around 9 with an aprilaire unit and no electricians. I call customer service only to be told a manager needs to call. Andy then gives me a call and said that they put in the order for a honeywell and were sent both and when he looked at our contract, it said install aprilaire so thats the one that the techs were given. I show the technicians the attic space and they notice theres a plug in the attic. They say we can use that to power the unit so no electrician is needed. I said but I paid for an electrician to come out and install a dedicated line to run this unit. They said that they needed to check with their supervisor. After a phone call, they said that their supervisor said they can use that plug to power the unit. I get on the phone again to call customer service because the price that I paid included All of the electrical work and since I didnt need that work to be done, could the price be adjusted. I speak to another manager and he said that the electrician will definitely be out there to run a dedicated line because that is what you paid for. Ok perfect. The electrician comes out and the first thing he said was that we cant use the existing plug in the attic because of the dehumidifier overloading that circuit and we definitely needed a dedicated line. Since the way our attic is and where the panel is in the garage, he said it was going to be a tough job. The electrician then left and shortly after, the technicians said everything was finished. I fully expected the electrician to come back and at 230 I called yellow dot to see what was going on and they said that it was put in the system as a half day job with a helper and that it definitely isnt going to be done that day. Needless to say, my frustration is through the roof. Then the rep said the earliest we could have it scheduled is May 4th. Today comes and I call customer service and they said im definitely on the schedule. 20 min later, the electrician calls me and tells me he cant come out today and he didnt communicate that to dispatch. We have it penciled in for Thursday afternoon but we will see what that brings us. Miscommunication is through the roof and if you go with yellowdot, just be prepared to stay on top of them to get your job done and DONT PAY for your services until your job is completed because i feel they would definitely ghost you if you pay up front.

Gary attended all our HAVC requests. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. If he did not know the answer to a question he made a call to someone who did. He also impressed us by his honesty and showing up on time. We are awaiting a final check on our problem to ensure all is working as it should as we had several highly technical issues come up to be researched. I am sure someone will follow up soon.Gary installed the UV/air scrubber and I am in shock at how my allergies have almost ceased. I noticed when I cook the smells do not linger in my home which is very open In space. Dust is cut in half to what I have been seeing. Large 1-story house. YD installed a new Lennox top-of-the-line heating and AC, special UV filtering, humidity control; then replaced the 12 year old ducting with new ducts and installed a separate industrial crawlspace dehumidifier to keep the sealed crawspace at very low humidity to manage mold growth. installed a new wifi-connected thermatostat with touch display panel. The work was done quickly, cleanly, and very professionally. Follow up inspections and adjustments have been done regularly. I am very satisfied with YD HAC and highly recommend them for whole house heating and AC needs.

They set up a regular service call, but checked the heat, not the air, then charged me again for checking air. In a phone call they admitted that they had screwed up, but refused to rectify the situation. I will NEVER use again. They are completely untrustworthy!

My water heater needed to be replaced. Dennis and Dwayne from the plumbing division came to do the install. They were professional and efficient. They said the install would be 3 to 4 hours and had it done in 3. Said they would arrive between 8 and 9 and they arrived at 8. They were informative and very easy to get along with. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing job you need done. Yellow Dot is reasonably priced too. I had them install a new AC system earlier this year.
