The initial removal of the existing system which was not working went very smoothly. The installation of the new unit went great and it was properly tuned to ensure quiet operation while properly cooling. Unfortunately, the unit was great when it was operating but we encountered a hard to diagnose issue soon after installation. Fortunately, since the new unit was covered under warranty Rodney Pope made numerous prompt service calls to our house to troubleshoot the issues each time until it was eventually identified after a few major electrical components finally failed. He made a final call to replace those specific parts and the system has been performing perfectly since. Rodney was very professional and was able to make service calls without much advanced notice. All of the service calls after the installation were considered warranty work so there were no charges throughout the entire process of addressing the issues. We would highly recommend this company and their technician Rodney Pope.

Ive had several positive experiences with Cape Fear HVAC. I decided to purchase a new unit and the process was smooth, financing offered was helpful and the technicians were professional. I had a system check today and Justin was so personable and helpful in explaining how the system was doing. As a single female homeowner, I appreciate being educated about how to keep the unit running smoothly for years.

Our AC went out on a Saturday night in August, and we have a baby so it was critical to get fixed ASAP. Technician Rodney Pope came to the rescue way after hours and was able to get our AC running again. He was informative and explained all the details. We have been customers of Cape Fear for several years. They performed routine maintenance and some repairs. Recently we had to replace our old unit which was 15 yrs. old. We had them come out and give us options for a new unit. The sales person (Mike) was very professional the through. A time for installation was set and two technicians came out to do the job. JJ (Jason) and Dennis installed the unit in a very hot and humid climate. Their work was impeccable. Every step of the way they made sure every wire, nut bolt etc. was installed correctly. They made sure they answered every question I had and explained how the new unit would work. We can’t recommend them highly enough . Julie, in the office was excellent in explaining the billing and answering questions. She is always so helpful as is the whole staff we have dealt with.

I highly recommend Cape Fear for HVAC repair and installation. This is my second time using these guys for an HVAC install (2 different houses). The project manager, Michael was professional, timely, and listened to what I wanted vs pushing a product that he wanted me to buy. The technicians, Jason and Dennis were also on time and very professional. I have two HVAC units. One was installed by another big name HVAC company and one by Cape Fear. I work from home, and barely heard them doing their work, during the 7-8 hours they were here. They arrived on time. Laid down tarps, from the front door, to the attic crawl space, and wore booties while in the house. They cleaned up their mess, inside and out.They did a rezoning of my entire system, and installed a 2nd thermostat in my upstairs office. I called the next day, as the system didnt seem quite right. A technician arrived within an hour of my call, made a few adjustments, and all is good. He even locked my door, as he left, as I was working upstairs.100% recommend this company.

I had some questions about dehumidifying my home and spoke with Kevin from Cape Fear. He was very thorough in explaining my options, the issues I was facing, and the issues underlying THOSE issues. I was really impressed, especially since Cape Fear isnt a Carrier dealer (I have a Carrier AC unit that was the root cause of the issue) and Kevin took his time making sure I understood even knowing it might not make the company money. Using his advice, I was able to identify and fix the problem. Great company! Ill be looking into a Trane when my current unit goes :-)

Cape Fear installed two heat pumps in our home. Their installation crew was courteous, professional and dedicated. They arrived in the morning and stayed until 9PM to make sure everything was correct. An issue developed and they came out on Sunday to correct the problem. The other day I turned on my AC for the first time this year and it seemed to be fine. After a few days passed I noticed the machine was acting up. It seemed as if it was working too hard and kept cutting on and off. I called Cape Fear and they sent Austin, Joe, & Kenny out to fix they issue. These guys were great, they diagnosed the problem and had the system fixed within a few hours.

Cape Fear heating and air installed a new heat pump for us. It was completed in less than a day. Kenny, Joe, and Austin were extremely professional and we are very satisfied with our new heat pump. Highly recommend them for anyone in the Raleigh area.

Great company to do business with. From start to finish of my new system install they were by my side. Cape fear has definitely earned my business from now on!

They were on time - an hour early, even, which was great (they called first to make sure it was ok). Ian was friendly and efficient, and just did what needed to be done without trying to make it out to be a bigger problem than it was (we just needed a new capacitor - a completely normal problem). Labor price was great, part price was typical. I would definitely hire them again. This was from their Wake County office. (I think they also have one in Fayetteville.)The sole caveat - I called a bit too early (7:30am) and got their 24/7 answering service. The operator took my information with a promise theyd call me back when they got in. I didnt hear back for a few hours, so I called again (around 11:30am) . This time I got one of their usual employees and got the appointment scheduled right away. (I suspect I would have heard back eventually had I been more patient, but who knows.) Ergo, Id suggest calling after 8am unless its an emergency.

Ian came out and quickly fixed our ac problem and checked several other components to make sure all was good very friendly and explained everything to me so I understood what happened. I was able to get the problem fixed less than 2 hours after I called! Same day service!!

Short Version: Ended up installing brand new system at an AWESOME price, received great service and it was done very promptly and professionally.Longer: Ive used Cape Fear before and called them to come service my downstairs A/C unit because it was cooling sporadically. Technician came out and gave the unfortunate news that my variable motor was broke and is $1500 to replace.The system was 10 years old and had previous issues. So I went ahead and got multiple estimates for brand new system. Andy came out and gave me the best deal with multiple options/price points for a 2 stage 16 seer trane. He was awesome, not pushy at all and very friendly (I had put dogs in crate but he asked if I could let them out).System install was done next day. I noticed that the new pad that Trane provided had a crack and felt bad asking if they could switch it out, the technicians had no issues even though it meant more work for them. Very friendly and had it up and running in less than a day.I LOVE the new Trane thermostat that it came with. Such a better unit, connected within 10 seconds to my wifi. I have to jump through hoops to connect my honeywell 8000 to my wifi.Cant say enough about my whole experience with Cape Fear.Oh yeah, I asked another company about replacing the part just to see and he said that $1500 was on the low end to replace that. Great Service at a Great Price!!!

He also took into account and considered the previous works done on the old unit and quoted accordingly. He was very understanding, knowledgeable and straight forward.MARTIN and his buddy came in to Install the new Unit. They did a fantastic job on Installing the unit. We had many HVAC unit works and installs on our other houses, but they always left a mess upon finishing. But Martin, cleaned the attic, staircase and the surrounding areas as exactly how it was before.Unfortunately the drain pipes were clogged with rust and dirt, which actually shut off the new unit at night. Called Cape Fear and spoke to KEVIN the office Manager and he immediately send a tech late at night.MARK was the tech who came in and took care of all the issues, and even adjusted the pipes for better flow. Stephen R. And his team were very accommodating to our strict scheduling demands to get our system fixed without disrupting our business operations at All 4 Paws Animal Hospital. Since we opened 5 years ago we have had to run our air conditioning year-round to keep the treatment area of our clinic comfortable. Our reception area was a crisp 68 degrees while our treatment area stayed a muggy 76 degrees year-round. The company who installed our system wanted over $200 just to come out and see if anything could be done to fix the problem less than 1 year after they installed it! Cape Fear charged less than half that to assess the problem, then were able to guve us a low cost solution. They did all the work within about 3 hours and arrived and completed clean up on time so we could continue to see patients and clients seamlessly. Now our entire clinic maintains an even, comfortable temperature of 72 degrees and I will save money by running the AC less and not having a space heater running in my reception area all year! Thank you to Stephen and his team as well as the friendly and helpful receptionist of the Cape Fear Raleigh office! Highly recommended for home or commercial HVAC repairs/install/maintenance. If only they did electrical and plumbing!!!

Our company had a great initial experience with Cape Fear Air Conditioning & Heating. Justin came out to gather info to provide an estimate on replacing a couple HVAC units on our roof. He showed up when he said he would and was professional and courteous while onsite. We made sure to do our due diligence and received bids from many vendors and found that Cape Fears pricing was one of the most competitive.
