I wish I could give this rating 0 stars. 1 star feels like I am giving them too much credit.I never felt comfortable in that office. From my first visit to my last, communication was terrible and I was constantly uneasy about the staff overlooking and dismissing my previous dental history/concerns.I have a permanent implant tooth from several years ago; I told the dentist exactly where this tooth was beforehand. My appointment was for a routine teeth cleaning, and they still somehow managed to knock out the implant tooth while doing their work. I have never had issues with the implant prior to this visit either. The dentist took action to fix the tooth, but decided to use temporary cement. Temporary cement... on a PERMANENT implant tooth...Within the next 10 days, my implant tooth had fallen out. Not surprising, considering they used a temporary fix on a previously permanent implant. Of course, I went back to the office to have it fixed, and was shocked when I was billed $300 for the fix. This was $300, after insurance, for one drop of permanent cement -- something that should have been used initially when they first knocked the tooth out, and for something that was 100% their fault to begin with. There was absolutely no remorse from the staff, no apology, and they refused to cover the cost of their own negligence.To top off my ridiculous experience, they then scheduled another appointment WITHOUT my consent, did not notify me of this newly scheduled appointment, and then proceeded to charge me for missing the appointment once the date passed. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional behavior.Please beware. This office is greedy and corrupt, they will go above and beyond to take your money. There are plenty of other great dentistries in the area that you should give your business to, this one is not worth it!

This was our first time and we had a super experience at Better Dentistry today. Everyone was friendly, engaged in their jobs and giving it their best! This is a group of people who seem to like what they do! The gal at the front desk (Robin, I believe) was sweet and engaged also. She didnt at all make me feel like an insurance card walking around in a body. Bravo, because I really dislike that! Dr. Silvoy is smart and friendly. He has good bed side manner and he didnt rush me. He listened to what I had to say about a somewhat unusual topic regarding my teeth moving and took what I had to say serious. We (son & me) had our teeth cleaned which we regularly do each six months. Lets just say that my last dentist did not have that device that Samantha used to clean my teeth which was absolutely incredible, she didnt have to pick and hurt me, and it was quickly done! Im very surprised at now clean my teeth feel. Im glad I followed a referral lead to come here.

The entire staff is super friendly. And they out you at ease. They really cared for my comfort level and didnt judge me for not taking excellent care of my teeth. Dr. Silva was nice, friendly, honest and gave me background info on what was happening to my teeth rather than just telling me how to fix it. We set up a plan for my dental work (3 wisdom teeth and a cavity- and I am in my 30s so wisdom teeth are scary to have still) and then the office staff did my cost analysis with the my insurance. I know exactly what I will spend. And Sam the hygienist takes the fastest X-rays ever. 18 in like 6 minutes. Full mouth in no time.

Before I begin, its important to explain that Ive seen SEVERAL dentists in the last 20 years... none of them provided the type of care or service that inspired confidence... so, I was always looking for the perfect dentist for me and my family... that all changed when we visited Dr. Silvoy and his wonderful staff for the first time... caring, considerate, patient, thorough and professional... absolutely the best dentist around... and his technicians are top-notch as well! great people, great experience... they always make us feel comfortable and at home... Had an amazing first experience at Better Dentistry! The hygienist, Kim, was truely amazing. She said that she has 18 years of experience and it definitely shows! Even though I take great care of my teeth she still took an hour to clean my teeth very thoroughly and also helped get left over cement off my teeth from my past braces. She was also very knowledgeable and told me how I could help prevent surface stains with an electric toothbrush. Dr. Chris Silvoy was also just as friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. All in all it was an amazing experience and I know this will be our primary dentist for life!

A honest, fun loving environment! My 2 kids and I love visiting the office! No work is ever done that is not needed and options are given for how we can proceed as a team. I l love that I never feel pressure for unneeded work! The kids and I love Sam for our cleanings. She is so quick and efficient, yet gentle and easy to relax with. Dr. Silvoy is down to earth and honest, giving his full medical opinion and making sure you know your options, so you remain the driver in your care plan. The office is always neat and clean as well. We drive a hour to come here, and will continue to do so!

I just had a tooth fall out and went to Better Dentistry. Dr Silvoy explained every step in detail so that I could understand! He fit me right in and took care of me and the temporary crown looks just like the permanent one! The staff especially Sam made me feel comfortable, they treat you like family! I have a dentist near my house but I drive the extra mile to go to Better Dentistry!

I had a great experience with everyone I was in contact with. Dr. Silvoy is clearly passionate about the science and art of dentistry. He and his staff listen and go the extra mile in explaining whats going on with your oral hygiene and the options available to you. There arent many dentists who will talk you OUT of a root canal. Geek to geek...I would have a beer with this guy.

Durham location office manager is a complete rude individual. Her name is Tonya she spoke with husband and confirmed his appt then lied about what time it was scheduled for the next day. Instead of rectifying the issue she suggested maybe it is best for my husband to find another dentist after he was upset about them canceling his appt from there mix up. His wife called back and asked to speak to her boss and she hung the phone up. So she called back and the manager didnt pick up the phone. Called back a 3rd time finally picked up and was given drs . Name finally,i would give this office a negative 0 if possible. I guess this is how businesses treat new customers these days

I have been reluctant to go to dentist as I had a typical bad experience as a kid and have negative feelings around dentists. It was almost 8 years since I had seen a dentist, and in that time, i have added 3 kids to my life - so setting an example was important. I mustered up the courage and went it, taking my wife and 3 kids for a shotgun approach session where the staff divided and conquered with a level of professionalism and expertise unrivaled! We were all happy, clean and pain free - no cavities for me somehow, and my son had a baby tooth cavity that was resolved without tears or fear. I have been back several times, and will continue to use Dr. Silvoy until I move away from Raleigh, or my insurance changes and prevents me from going to the one and only doctor i will trust with my teeth and the teeth of my kids.

As usual like in my past visits, the team is OUTSTANDING with greeting me by name at the door, getting me quickly in to see my dental tech, who by the way is SUPER AWESOME! Always courteous, friendly, and leaves me with a HUGE SMILE (no pun intended) as I leave for the rest of my day!So glad, I have stayed with Dr. Silvoy through the years!He ROCKS!!Keep up the great work!!

At first I thought this was the best place to go . Very friendly staff . Then my appointment was canceled due to weather , I’ve contacted the office mutple times to reschedule and to speak with the person who did my plan . I never received a phone call back from that person so I quit trying and will go somewhere else

Except for my first appointment the rest have all had unreasonable wait times. I gave this place several visits. Pleasant staff, but unfortunately the waiting has ruined it.

Too often doctors offices act as if theyve forgotten we are customers who have choices. But because that is exactly the case I travel more than an hour to see this dentist because although hard to find locally, Dr, Silvoys office in Raleigh is getting it right with patientcentric care.The whole team seemed to care about their patients and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. This is my second visit and I will be scheduling another.Dr. Silvoy is very knowledgeable and willing to share information about latest practices and options. He presented options previous providers did not. He alsensured my comfort during procedures. His staff is wonderful and friendly which also helped put me at ease. Best experience I have ever had with a doctors office.

We love Dr. Silvoy and his staff. Sam and the rest of the staff are very friendly, reassuring and kind. Dr. Silvoy has a great balance of thoughtfulness towards the patient but is very thorough in his explanation. Hes progressive in his techniques and very knowledgeable. Ive decided to switch my 5 & 6 yr old boys over to his practice, too, despite our being generally pleased with the local pediatric dentist.

I was expecting a lot out of this place based on the reviews, however, I was extremely disappointed. Terrible customer service from the staff and office manager. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely be advising people against this office moving forward.

My husband and I had our initial appointment at this office. The people here are very welcoming and nice. Dr Silvoy sat and answered all of our questions. I dont think I have had a better experience of a Dr listening and talking me through everything. The hygentist Sam is also so friendly and made me feel so comfortable during my exam and cleaning. They also have state-of-the-art equipment and electronic records. I have always been so nervous about going to the dentist and my husband even more so than me but we both will have no problem coming to see our new favorite dentist. Making the appointment with Robin is also a breeze. All the staff really seems great. No complaints.

Better Dentistry is very professional, friendly, fun, and very efficient from getting you in the door and out - and taking care of your every question. Its so hard to get away from the office for appointments and I dont look forward to going to the dentist, but once I am there, I actually enjoy the appointment and my teeth look and feel better after! Dr. Silvoy is a great Dentist. I hate going to the dentist when I need a filling done, but this is the Dentist for me. I have had 4 Different dentist in the past 5 years. I just had my second filling with Dr. Silvoy and both experiences were great. No more searching, hes the one.

UPDATE (after a couple years of being a patient here): I wish I could leave a separate 5-star review every time I have an appointment, but Google doesnt let you do that. I still think this is the absolute best dentist office in town (in the universe?). I always feel a little nervous before going (have I flossed enough, do I have cavities, etc.), but my nerves are always for no reason - Dr. Silvoy and his staff are always VERY kind. They tell you what looks great and give you constructive/real-life advice for making things even better (for example, they will recommend a certain kind of floss, or a better technique for using it). Also, Dr. Silvoy seems really interested in staying up-to-date with the latest innovations in treatment. This morning, he told me that he just got back from a seminar on some new pain-management/sedation techniques. I think that just shows how genuinely interested he is in the patient experience and having the very best technology/methods available to us.Dr. Silvoy and his staff are as good as it gets. I especially recommend the Better Smiles annual program - I don’t have dental insurance, but this program allows me to pay a flat (and discounted) fee for all the services I will need in a year.

I just want to say that my dentist is awesome. . Ive never met a dentist like him before that genuinely loves his job and cares about his patients and staff as he cares for himself. . Hes HUMAN! ! Lol. . Thats allot to say about a doctor. . I never want to see another dentist ever in my life. . Christopher DMD at Better Dentistry on Marriott Dr, Suite 275, Raleigh nc 27612 will be the only dentist I will ever go to and I highly recommend him to everyone in the raleigh area. . The dentist and the staff made me as comfortable as you can be. . I talked to them the whole time I was in the chair getting my fillings (no mouth restraints) I was put in the least amount of pain. . Even when I started not to feel so good and told them the dentist actually stopped doing what he was doing and found me some strawberries and water in the refrigerator and HE brought it to me and said to let him know when I feel better and he will come back to finish. . The staff even took my blood pressure, and the staff were super sanitary and kept to OSHA guidelines. . Its just a perfect dentistry an Im happy and always excited to go there.

LOVE THE ENTIRE STAFF!!I am always amazed with how much Dr. Silvoy knows and how friendly and amazing the staff are. I feel like I am friends with them all and appreciate Dr. Silvoy walking me through each step of everything he does, from helping consult with my braces, a crown, root canal advice, etc. Whenever I ask a question he isnt quick to jump on doing what I ask for a pay day, he will explain the pros and cons and also advise against not doing certain things. Not all doctors are like that. He truly cares. Ida, is also so amazing and helps make the time there go so well!I went back in for my 2nd visit after getting braces and am seriously SO happy this is my new dentist. Sam is amazing! She has gone out of her way both times I have been there to give me advice on my braces and to get my teeth as clean as possible. Dr. Silvoy has again impressed me with his knowledge and I love how he doesnt ever seem rushed and is truly concerned to help you and answer any questions you may have. They are always right on time, quick to help and get me in and out. Thanks again for another great trip!!Great staff! Very friendly and over the top. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful with getting my X-rays from my old dentist when I forgot to bring them and Sam, the dental assistant, did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable as I waited. The Doctor was extremely knowledgeable and informed me of more things I havent been told by other dentist. He wasnt trying to rush and walked me through everything and answered each of my questions. I am an adult who is getting braces soon and has to have teeth pulled and he helped to make me feel better about the next steps and what to expect. I was worried about having to switch to a new dentist but I am very pleased with their friendliness and expertise and am happy I choose them as my new dentist!
