Collegial Behavior health is by far the best practice I’ve been too. As a medically retired veteran, the VA doesn’t fully provide the care I need and more. To start the office staff is absolutely wonderful and beyond professional. I’ve had to call a couple of times due to issues with my pharmacy and they helped resolve them. Sandra and Julie are impeccable providers. They truly put care into their work and don’t just prescribe something to fix the symptoms, they treat the root problems. Since I pay out of pocket the price isn’t bad at all and definitely well worth it. The office has a wonderful vibe to where you feel like a person and not just a name on the appointment list and a face in the crowd. Chances are that any negative reviews of this office the patients weren’t looking for actual help and more than likely had an agenda.

Do not try this office if you have significant mental health problems from trauma.I was turned away by Dr. Sandra after I filled out the in office paperwork before my appointment with NO explanation other then I required more intensive care Which was a really hurtful way to be informed my case was beyond her skill set.The ladies at the front desk did attempt to refer me to 2 other practices after I begged the question, although one practice did not accept my insurance and the other is not seeing new patientsEDIT: I in no way requested counseling directly through this practice. I informed the practice I was already going through counciling, and asked for resources to be in touch with targeted therapy for trauma.

For 2 years, I went to Carolina Partners. Both of the doctors I saw at Carolina Partners left the company. Within that time, neither could find the right medications to help me. I must have tried 10 to 12 different medications. Then I made an appointment to see Sandra. From the first visit she was nice, polite, and did not rush me when telling her about all the medications I have tried and what I was feeling. She is by far the most knowledgeable when it comes to medicines. Each visit, I told her what I was feeling and she would go over multiple medicines that could help me. For each medicine, she would state how it functioned, the side effects, when it should kick in, and if it would interact with any other medication. Throughout the whole time, I felt she was on my side like a family member. She genuinely cares about the people she is helping. In my experience, it is hard to find someone who is knowledgeable, down to earth, and cares. And with Sandra Alexander, she carries all 3 of these traits.

Dr. Sandra is seriously the best psychiatrist I have seen, and trust me I have seen many over the years. After struggling with anxiety and depression trying various other doctors generic cookie cutter treatment plans, Dr. Sandra was the first to really listen to my symptoms and get to the bottom of things. Other Dr.s Ive seen would hear depression and immediately throw the most popular SSRI at me without further discussion or other options but Dr. Sandra was able to see it was not as simple as that and each patient is unique. She discussed multiple options for me to try, explained in detail exactly what the medications would be doing on a biological/chemical level in my case, took my opinion into account, and also reinforced that self care is also a major part of improving my mental health on top of the medications. I felt heard for the first time and well taken care of. Dr. Sandra is super nice and very supportive. I *highly* recommend seeing her if you are looking for a new doctor!

I happened to come across Collegial Behavioral Health from my insurance company. Out of 22, I picked this group to seek help. I honestly dont have the words to really say what they have done for me. After seeing Sandra, the owner, and the therapist Sherry, I left that office with so much hope that I havent had in a very long time. They are professional, yet so caring and down to earth. That first day, we already had a plan of treatment for me to start with . Its week 3, and I havent felt this good in a long time. Personable, professional, and I am not just a number. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone. I am so grateful that I found the help I am finally getting.

Very poorly managed. Sandra is very unorganized and because of this, I went without having my prescriptions when they were due, on numerous occasions. Even if she has forgot to call them in, and you are left without, it is not a priority of hers and can take days for her to get around to resolving her error. She talks down to you, and doesnt truly care about helping you get to a better place. All she cares about is the $ shes getting out of you, and she makes this clear by how she interacts with you. There arent many options in the area for the services she provides so if you do have to go here for help, try to see Dr. Battle. I had to see her once (due to mistakes made on Sandras end) and she squeezed me in on her lunch break. Regardless though, I did not feel rushed and she talked to me on a more personal level than i think Sandra is even capable of. She went above and beyond and you can tell she does this line of work for all the right reasons, unlike Sandra.I since have gone to a different provider, who addressed all of my concerns on the first day we met. Concerns that Sandra avoided and did not want to be bothered with, even though its her job. I highly suggest looking into other options!

Absolutely love Dr. Sandra & Sherry including the office staff. From day 1 I felt that they actually care about my well being I am not just a patient! I do not have insurance so my concern on the cost was quickly put at rest with their fees. Infact no where else could beat the fees!

I feel like I’ve seen every doctor in a 100 mile radius, and have been sorely disappointed with my care for ADHD and Anxiety. Sandra has worked with me on a very personal level, and I feel like I’ve made huge progress. I’m very thankful that I’ve found her!

OMG! We wish we would have found this team of providers earlier. From the office staff to the meeting with the medication manager we were so impressed. Very rarely do you find an office that is empathetic and very knowledgeable at the same time. We needed a medication managers expertise and we definitely found one - my only regret is that we did not find her sooner in our medication history. I feel like, for the first time, we are in good hands and that is such an amazing feeling. They are very responsive and go the extra mile. Honestly, I can not even begin to say enough about this practice. Practices like this no longer exist. They are definitely there for the patient and family. KUDOS and THANK YOU!

As a colleague and former coworker of Sandra Alexander, I can tell you that she is experienced and knowledgeable in substance abuse assessment and treatment. I refer appropriate patients to her clinic with confidence that they will be treated without judgement and with professionalism and above the standard of care. Because thats how I always found Sandra to be.

Edit: This review did not contain any writing until the business chose to respond to me defensively. Here’s why this place deserves one star and why you should never trust Sandra. I was recommended to Sandra by Debra of DRG Counseling in Raleigh. The first visit I was met by a college intern who asked me questions typical of a first visit. On this same visit, towards the end, Sandra came in the room and went through a very rushed spiel she practiced a lot about not being a “real doctor” but throwing out letters and certifications no regular person would understand. She then proceeded to prescribe me an anti-depressant after discussing that I was there for anxiety and ADHD. She didn’t tell me what it was, how it functioned, and barely went over the side effects or asked if that was ok. After taking it for one day and feeling so sick I couldn’t work, I stopped taking it and came back. Repeating this process of talking to a college intern like it’s the first visit again, then seeing Sandra for about ten minutes to be prescribed something else that didn’t work for me. I spent 80 dollars every two weeks for the visit, and 40-80 per prescription that didn’t work for me. However every time I returned the only thing Sandra had to say was that she was demanding better documentation and computer testing for ADHD, something I couldn’t afford at the time, but also something no other doctor has demanded of me before, or since. She spoke down to me with doubt and criticism and mistrust, when I’m a 28 year old male that was seeking help for the first time in his life in order to save his failing relationship, non-existent career, and dwindling income, all typical of someone with ADHD. If Sandra had taken the time to listen to me and talk to me on a more personal level and truly gotten to know me, things could’ve worked out here. Unfortunately I was just a number to Sandra, who admitted in one of my last visits that the reason paperwork gets lost or takes forever to process, or that she NEVER called back when I called with questions, was because she has 500+ patients. Do yourselves a favor, if you’re not looking for anti-depressants, go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of time, headaches and heartache.

The others that posted are obviously friends of the owner. I just met this practice through a few appointments. The office is open 16 hours a week unless there is any holiday, then less. The Dr and owner missed my first and third appointments within 4 weeks. She took very little responsibility for this either. She asked me to have medical records sent in, which I did before my next appt. I called to confirm the records were received, they confirmed they were, I set up another appt., I got there and she told me they werent enough and I would have to come back. There have been multiple other issues with prescriptions being called in, e.g. her telling me they have been called in, her forgetting to do it while I waited around for over an hour; she leaves the office an hour and a half early Thurs (on her 4 hour work day) and left me hanging till Monday. She obviously provides a needed service and takes advantage of it. Her Dr. skills are average, but her business and organizational skills are atrocious. Please use another dr even if you have to wait for the service; theres a 50/50 chance she will show up anyway.
