Lux is always clean and a great environment!! Everyone is super talented and super friendly! I love my time there every time I go! It took me a long time to try to find a new hair place after moving from a different state and this is my new go to and I tell everyone!!

The salon worked together as a team when I called last minute for a haircut, then showed up early hoping to be squeezed in for a highlight appointment, too- a big ask with my head of hair!! They didn’t bat an eye but worked together to see how they could accomodate me, and they did a superior job! With Bre on my highlights and Kristin G. cutting and styling, I left super happy and thrilled to recommend them and their happy to help attitudes!!! Thank you ladies! Way to go girls!

Kristin H did a fanatic job and the salon is 💯. Feels more like downtown than North Raleigh. The wash station chairs were seriously comfortable and a huge improvement from most any other place Ive been (its the not-so-little, little things!).

The salon is nice and clean. I was disappointed with the amount of time I had to wait for a hair cut. I think I had to wait three weeks from the day I called. I was disappointed in the hair cut. I have fine hair that needs layers. Otherwise it lays flat. The stylist barely trimmed my hair. It was the worst haircut I’ve ever had. Moving on from this salon.

The hospitality here is absolutely amazing. I was not 100% satisfied the first go round so I came in 4 days later and the girls welcomed me with open arms. My stylist (Amanda) listened and gave her all to make sure I was getting the hair of my dreams. Donna, one of the owners truly has such a kind heart and makes sitting for hours in foils extremely manageable. :) Emily is so amazing and so is Carter. Every girl who walked by me asked if I needed anything, complimented me on something or helped my stylist. This made my experience so unique compared to other salons I have been to. Well! I finally found a stylist I like! Amanda was awesome. She was upfront and honest and knew what she was doing. She was easy to talk to and did an amazing job on my hair. The facility looked clean and well maintained. I liked that I wasnt coaxed into leaving a review like other places. It made the experience feel more real, and that the reviews are more genuine. 11 out of 10.

This was my first visit at LUX Salon. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. My stylist Rhonda was upbeat, professional and confident. This is truly the first time I’ve been to a salon where I feel like they really listened and gave recommendations on what would be best for me, rather than just asking me what I wanted to do. Spoiler alert- I never know what I want done, just what I like and don’t like 😂.I see Deborah and she takes the time to ask me what I do and don’t like about my style, my lifestyle/time commitment to my hair, and then after *listening* she recommends what she feels is best in her professional opinion. Everyone here is nice! Always talk through different options and answer all questions. Theres amazing products for sale but the employees dont push it on you.

I have researched stylists all over the Triangle Area (Raleigh, Durham, Apex, Morrisville, Wake Forest - all of it) that are experts with coloring BLONDE hair. Its SO hard to find a fantastic, talented color expert. Ive seen two stylists at this salon, but Amanda is absolutely the best. She takes the time to listen and view photos of the type of cut, style, and color youre seeking (Ive gotten my hair done so many times by people who just rush me when asking what I want, which I hate). Amanda also recommended great products, so that I can style my hair how she styled it, from home. She was easy to talk to, polite, prompt and kind. She is now my go-to color expert and stylist for my blonde hair! For reference, she did a combo of highlights and balayage. Couldnt recommend her or the salon enough!

Samantha S is amazing! I was in need of a hairstylist after coming from St. Louis to Raleigh and she took me in right away. I have been transitioning from dark brown to blonde for over a year now. She was understanding of the situation and was super careful of my hair that is fragile from all the lifting appointments with my previous stylist. I was able to get the hair I wanted going into this appointment, which we originally did not expect would happen. I am so happy I found my new stylist and I can’t wait to come back!

I took my two daughters for their first real haircuts in a salon. Emily made them feel right at home and listened to what they wanted. Emily is a dream to work with - easy booking, my girls felt special and pampered, and their hair looked beautiful and healthy when we left! We already have our next haircut/blow dry on the books. The salon was clean, well staffed and had a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.

I loved my experience with Kelli Jo! During the appointment she was so attentive and kind. I had a very long appointment slot and she got another staff member to pick up my lunch from a few doors down. All of the staff were so amazing and helpful. I 100% recommend and will continue to see Kelli Jo in the future. It’s a great atmosphere and very professional staff. Cant say enough good things!

Love this salon! Such a Great experience every time. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 mins, and I’m always offered a drink as soon as I arrive. My stylist, Chelsea Lowery, gives me perfect highlights every time. And she’s recently started cutting my toddlers hair, and rocks it every time (even though he’s a squirmy worm!).

Love going to this Salon! Stylist Chelsea is the best and so is Ally. Very nice and did exactly what I wanted. No wait time with your appointment and also get offered a beverage. Love going there!

I just moved to the Durham area and was trying to find a new salon. I called a couple of different places to ask for pricing because I was looking for a root touch up and nothing more. I called Lux and the girl quotes me $90 so I go to the appointment. When it was time to ring me up she says my total is $230... UM WHAT! I thought I was going to either throw up right then or burst into tears. The manager came over, not really apologetic and explained how the stylist did a “bleach out” on me. First of all I don’t know what that is, secondly I didn’t ask for that. all I asked was for my roots done. I’ve literally been doing the same exact thing to my hair for years so I know the outcome and what the pricing should be. She ended up bumping the bill down to $160 which is better but still crazy pricing. My brother is a stylist in NYC and they don’t even charge like that! The stylist I had was a very nice lady but the experience was very upsetting due to miscommunication on what I was going to have to pay. If you’re thinking of going to this salon please make sure you know what you’re expected to pay before hand.

Jenna was wonderful, she did a great job. If I had one small complaint it was that I was really surprised by the bill. I should have asked the price before having it done. I still love the outcome. So I recommend you ask what your bill will be before you have anything done so you are prepared.

Ive been seeing Tiffany for probably close to five years now! Shes fabulous. She has taken me from black to platinum blonde and so many different cuts. I love everything thing she does and my hair always looks great!

Additionally, I come to Lux to have my hair washed and blown out a couple times a month. My schedule is unpredictable and I usually just call and see when they can fit me in. At this time...I have had my hair styled by each member of the Lux team....and everyone does an amazing job!!! Used to be a pageant girl and have had so much work to my hair. Constantly going back and forth from blonde to brunette. Im a natural brunette, so it was damaging my hair and damaging my pocket. I came to this salon a little anxious and embarrassed. Salons can be intimidating. I got the pleasure of Emily Stone doing my hair. Right away I felt comfortable. She was easy to talk to and made getting my hair done more enjoyable. I didnt feel like she pressured me to do all of these extra things to my hair. I understand sometimes you need to do treatments, especially if you are doing bleach. I felt like she genuinely thought what was best for me. I got a balayage and it came out exactly what I wanted. She also trimmed my hair to keep it healthy, but didnt cut off too much. Im looking forward to go back and high suggest booking with Emily!

I needed the polish removed from my nails which was a dip powder. He had me soak my nails, which was fine but then he used that tool thing to grind the rest of the polish off. It was awlful. My nails are now so soft they tear and my nail beds are discolored. I had to pull my hand away because my nail bed was burning. Ill never go back.

I was having a bad hair year until I worked up the courage to find a salon. I am usually very intimidated by these trendy salons as I always feel out of place.Not so here at Lux. The ladies behind reception were super friendly and quick to take care of the customers. Heather, the stylist that has given me confidence and a great cut, came to the reception area and immediately put me at ease with her friendly professional manner.I have VERY thick hair. I have had trouble finding a stylist that gets that havind such thick hair isnt a great thing. They usually want to charge me extra and never want to blow it dry as it is time consuming. Not so with Heather.I got a fantastic cut that looks just like the picture I showed her. She washed my hair, cut it, styled it then blew it dry for $65. I want to shout her praises but am afraid if I shout too loud, everyone will want to go to her and I wont be able to afford her. I am looking forward to the next time!

I had never been to a hair salon where the only thing the hairstylist does is focuses on you and makes you feel comfortable. I have to say Lux Salon is by far the best hair salon I have ever been to. I was recommended by one of my coworkers and I am so glad I gave it a go. I went in with very damaged hair and Megan did a great job with the haircut she gave me, I was very pleased because I am trying to grow out my hair and she left my hair perfect and long still. Definitely recommend this place!

Jenna is very cool who really puts thought into the haircut and is nice to talk to as well.She is professional and upfront about her observations.Jenna listened to my request and was really a good conversationalist. Ive been trying out new hair stylists for a while, and Im happy to say that Ive finally found the one! I think shes definitely good at what she does. I had my hair cut short and it turned out to be pretty.I highly recommend this place and I will definitely go back.My husband LOVED my hair do. Pleasant greeting, helpful and thoughtful consult, wonderful shampoo, and fantastic cut. Christina took the time to listen and understand the look I wanted and straightened my ever so thick and curly hair beautifully......without using a flat iron!!! Great attitude too! I went to the salon to have a color consultation and a haircut. While my hair dresser did a nice job on my haircut, she however did not discuss my hair color consultation with me. I kept mentioning what I wanted to color my hair and my ideas. All my hair dresser kept saying was yeah and its going to take time. I wanted her to give me details on how we could achieve the color and each process, but she just kept ignoring the conversation. The whole vibe was just off the entire appointment. I looked around the salon and saw all the other hair dressers have a positive attitude and experience.

I’ve been getting blonde highlights for awhile and these are the only people I trust! Super knowledgeable and always make sure I’m getting exactly what I want!

So I went in with ashy blonde hair. I normally get my hair dyed icy blonde with grey low lights. I came out honey blonde with no highlights. They tried to tell me the picture I showed them didnt have much dimension. Ok but you are glossing over the fact that I made it very clear I wanted no warmth. I came out orange. They tried to tell me I wasnt orange. So they added dark and toned me more. So now Im dark reddish blonde. I get home, I have patches of orange. They charged me $100 and I realized she didnt even cut my bangs. They were like wash it a few times it will lighten up. Oh I know. I wont get my beautiful icy blonde back, it will just get more red. Thanks for ruining my hair, wasting my day, and changing me to do it.

Absolutely fried my scalp, I assume she left the dye on too long. I had sores on my head for almost 6 weeks. A different girl cut my hair and it was fine, but not really what I wanted. I feel like she didnt pay attention to the texture of my hair and wasnt knowledgeable enough to know how to cut it for the best results. And, since my scalp was already starting to show signs of damage, she kept making excuses, like Thats the price we blondes have to pay and so on. But, they were very nice. They just seemed very inexperienced. The subpar haircut and the month and a half of head wounds cost me $250. I will not be back.

I love LUX salon because I love Chastie. She is extremely talented, and the only one Ive ever trusted fully with my hair. Shes truly an artist! The first time I saw her she restored my hair to what I love after someone elsewhere had left me unhappy and I had used box color. Miracles happen in her chair, she can never retire.She is also one that others look to for color advice. On my most recent visit she was approached several times for help with other clients hair. She was very patient and able to multitask so that she not only took care of me but other stylists as well. I cannot say enough!!! I refer all my friends here.

I got a botched balayage on a Wednesday. Seriously, it was heinous as a long haired, brunette having yellow orange, blunt streaks (just ask her for the before and after pics).Lux got me in first thing Friday morning and LAUREN absolutely SAVED me. I thought my hair was ruined and I would have to chop it all off, but she healthfully and beautifully restarted evrything and now I am loyal to her forever.

I get my hair cut by Alli and it is hands done the best haircut I have ever received. She offers suggestions and is not satisfied unless you are happy with your haircut.

When you take multiple pictures with you of exactly what you want and get something different...and after retry get something TOTALLY different end of the spectrum -- something is wrong. Its one thing to have a bad day if you are working at a fast food restaurant. It is another to destroy a professionals career image when that someones very fine hair took five years to grow and is now damaged and looks terrible.No names. No more business.

We have been going to Allison for over 5 years now. Me, my husband, our 6 year old see her and soon our 3 year old will go to her. Shes excellent at listening and taking the time to assess what youd like. She has worked with me over the years with deva cuts, full hair coloring, foil highlights, and balayage highlights. If my hair doesnt take well to the toner they are more then happy to schedule an immediate appointment to correct it. Im always offered water or coffee when I come in and the staff is super welcoming. Couldnt be happier at Lux!! Fyi- theres a fantastic Greek cafe/bakery 2 doors down!
