Ive been going to Erlinas for years literally. Each time shes moved locations Ive gone. Customer service is always impeccable. Im super picky but my girl Letty is amazing🥰🥰. If you are a new customer please make sure theres a clear understanding of what service you want, the cost and steps of that service. If you feel to much heat is being used say something, they will adjust.

Erlinas salon is amazing. Great quality products and amazing workers. I was serviced as a walk in as soon as I walked in. No long wait. Very professional and clean. If your looking for a authentic Dominican hair styling this is the place!! Definitely will be returning

Dont let them do color on your hair! Ive gone here several times for a blowout or Doobie with no issues. So, on my visit last week, I trusted them to do a temporary color. I was sure to advise them that my hair is relaxed; though its been a couple of months. Therefore, I wanted a temporary color. Clearly due to the language barrier, the stylist did not understand that vital point even though I advised 3 times. Well several day later when I stopped wrapping my hair and attempted a ponytail which Ive been wearing for nearly two years, I discovered my hair was severely damaged and I was not able to make a ponytail. I am sure the stylist was aware of this when she washed my hair, nothing was mentioned. I went there to discuss this today. I explained the situation to seemingly the only person there who fluently speaks English. She translated my concern to the styling who actually damaged my hair who seemed unconcerned! I left with no resolution and was advised to speak with the owner, who was not in the salon and they could not provide a schedule. Any reputable salon couldve/wouldve looked at my hair and taken ownership as well as try to provide assistance with repairing the damage. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE and advise you to do the same! I wanted to add photos, but that option wasnt available!

I love Letty and how she cares for my hair! She’s been doing my hair for years. She is sweet and doesn’t rush on your hair! She makes sure you are satisfied before you leave. Her blowouts lasts for weeks with the proper aftercare!

JUST DONT DO IT!!!!!!!! Went there to have my natural hair flat ironed and now its RUINED. its a month later and my hair still smells burnt. Ive cut out as many of the bad stringy pieces as I could without shaving it all off and starting over. And now its shedding like crazy. My hair was healthy, thick and thriving and growing and now its just a half stringy mess... I COULD KICK MYSELF FOR EVER WALKING IN THIS SO CALLED SALON....SMMFH!!!! Learn from my mistake....if you have natural hair and want to keep it.......... JUST DONT DO IT!!!!!!!

If you are natural, I definitely wouldn’t go here to get a blow out. They use soft relaxers in their shampoo; a cashier at the Sally’s nearby has mentioned how she has witnessed them buying soft relaxer products at the store. Since the last couple of times I’ve gone there, my curl pattern has been destroyed.I would definitely not recommend going here and I will definitely not be going back.

I’ve been natural since 2011 I needed a quick silk press since my stylist was booked…. Unfortunately they gave me a deep conditioning that had some sort of chemical in it which cause my curl pattern change and broke my hair off entirely! Before I had bra strap length hair! Now I had to cut my hair to bob length and it’s still damaged with some relaxed ends! Don’t go to this place unless you’re ok with secret chemical services without your knowledge! Wish I could give 0 stars!

Ive been coming to Erlinas since I moved to Nc. They have always giving me excellent customer service. Ive never had any issues with these ladies. My hair is always layed and done in a timely manner.

My natural hair is gone after growing it out for years. They snuck soft relaxer in my hair without my acknowledgement. My curl pattern is far gone, my hair is damaged and it’ll take awhile for my hair to grow out this relaxer and stop breaking off. I’m definitely hurt.

This place is the worst Dominican salon I ever been too. They heat damage my 4c hair so bad. I think they put relaxer in their shampoo. They have unlicensed teenagers doing hair on the weekends that damaged my hair so bad it’s falling out everywhere. I wish I can give this place zero stars. No one speaks English and they don’t care. Never will go back here again

Because I declined to have the blow out, they gave me poor service for a simple roller set. Made me pay an extra $10 for them the blow dry my roots. The reason the roots needed to be blow dried is because they did not properly roll my hair. This was an awful experience and I will never return to this salon.

They do a wonderful job on blowout. They only hand dry to blowout hair. So if you are looking for less heat on hair this is not the place

I went in for a color told the lady what color I wanted and even showed her the color. When she did applied the color to my hair it started BURNING! I told her and she tried to tell me that it is normal. I proceed to tell her again that the color is burning and she puts sugar on my hair! I made her wash my hair and to stop touching it. I looked in the mirror and it’s not even the color that I asked for I asked for a burgundy and I got a strawberry shortcake color. I am so mad because I have pictures to take tomorrow and then I’m meeting my boyfriend’s family for the first time for Christmas. Luckily the lady that styled my hair saved me but I would not recommend going there for any type of coloring!! And they still charged me $120 for a patchy coloring job

Alettie is the best most thorough stylist there. She is the ONLY one I allow to do my hair but unfortunately they make you get your hair washed and conditioned from other people. I took my grandson there today to get his hair washed and deep conditioned and his ends cut. The lady that washed it was SO lazy and I had to keep telling her to start from the bottom up to detangle it but she kept doing it anyway. She wouldnt even put conditioner on it to make it easier to comb out. While Alettie was doing it I noticed he still had lint and dirt on it and had knots in it. I asked why it wasnt cleaned she showed me his scalp...which was clean but his hair was dirty. I asked to speak to the owner but she wasnt there and they refused to call her for me and THEN proceeded to talk trash about me in spanish. I will NOT be returning. PERIOD. I pay well and tip WELL.... This is unacceptable!

This beauty salon is the worst in the Raleigh area they have unlicensed people practicing on customer hair doing everything wrong I went there and the lady that did my hair her name is Miriam she burned my hair she colored my hair and it was terrible and Im going to call the police so they can handle the people that dont have license and Im going to take yall to court to demand this place for what they did to my hair.

I’ve been here twice for a blowout & trim. Once while I was relaxed & most recently while I’m natural. I’m really picky, but both experiences were great. They let me use some of my own products & they work quickly. They do use heat protectant here & they detangle gently. Just FYI. They don’t charge an arm & a leg & they are polite & professional. They squeezed me in last minute & my hair turned out great. I will be back.

Do not come here. It’s taken me awhile to write this review. I was semi natural (transitioning) when I came here and the stylists were talking and laughing about my hair. The OWNER told me that I would need to go home, wash my hair and then come back. I have NEVER had a salon tell me that. They are extremely unprofessional and rude. They have the lowest rating when it comes to any Dominican salon in the area. There’s a reason why.

They dont mess around in there, they get you in and out and your hair is ready! Great blow outs

This is definitely a do not enter zone. I have given them plenty of chances to impress me but alas they just continued to disappoint. Location is not convenient. ..way cross town. Hair products used are not quality and loud music is annoying. Prices are not consistent and too much staff turn over. Called to ask if a specific stylist I liked was working. ..told yes and got to the salon and pushed onto another stylist. This happened again and again. Not returning this century and if you love your tresses...stay far away....OUCH

Used to go here but do to the constantly change in price I stop. Plus, the wait.... even if you make an appointment, they still make you wait like everybody else. It’s sad because I like their work but administration is very poor.

I went for the first time today and was very pleased with my visit to Maria! She is great! Very sweet and also makes great recommendations. I have type 4 natural hair and was treating myself to a Dominican Blow-Out for my birthday. Everything was clean and everyone was friendly.

I like the results afterwards but going through the processing sometimes a headache. Capes should be wore at all times while getting your hair done. I had one initially but it was taking away and never given back. I had to reach for my own towels after a rinse. Lesson learned: Bring my Own cape and towels.

I dont go here personally But I do know a few females that goes here on the regular.. They are very satisfied with their work. I asked personally before I submitted this review..

This is a wonderful hair salon! You dont have to wait long most of the time. The offer a variety like perms, color, wash&set, blow-outs, deep conditioning, keratin treatments and cuts. Good haircare at good prices!

I do think that it is a hit or miss but THEY HIT this time. I recommend Erlinas to all my beauties that want to be taken care of n listened to they completely nailed it for me. Giving them one star because I didnt have the option to put No stars. These ladies are nice when you comply but when you want things done your way they begin giving poor service. The change the price every time I come. The have poor customer service and the environment is horrible. They do not want to give a real Dominican blow out ( with rollers). They only want to blow dry it to keep the line moving! Go to Maritzas and you wont be disappointed!

I have been twice, and both experiences were great! After reading the reviews, I was hesitant, but I am very happy with my decision to try them out. They give your scalp a good scrubbing, and take pride in making you look good! My hair is very kinky, but you wouldve thought that I got a relaxer, when strutted out of the salon. My first visit, I got a basic blowout. It lasted over 2 weeks, and thats including getting caught in the rain, and sweating heavily. My most recent trip was a color and blowout, and I have been receiving compliments, even a week later! Try them out!

I have been a frequent patron of Erlina’s and unfortunately will never set foot through their door again. I received my usual yearly blowout and loved my style and trim per usual. Until I went to wash it out and my curls did not bounce back as they normally do. This too was accompanied by a strong and persistent sulfur/egg/chemical smell. My straight strands, stretched curls, and itching scalp, lead me to believe that without my permission a chemical was added to my hair. I feel so violated and disappointed that the ability to make decisions about my hair was taking away from me and I now have lost YEARS in my journey.Beware ladies or you may be starting your natural journey all over like me.

This place is very crowded but that is usually a good sign that the stylists do a good job. My stylist did a good job although I asked her to trim my ends and I felt like she was not thorough enough. When I need a blowout, I will be returning.

If I could rate this place -100 I would. I went to get a regular blow out. And when they asked another 2 times, I confirmed: a blowout. I got my “blowout” and 2 weeks later I went to go wash out my hair and my ends were straight, my hair was 2 inches shorter, and was falling out and damaged. I asked my friends beautician to check my hair out and she said that they had or multiple chemicals on my hair. I’m not saying not to go here but I’m cautioning you to be extra careful and pay attention because it’s going to take years for my hair to be the same as it was.

My review is delayed but never will they ever get anymore of my hard earned money. I used to go to the Erlinas location on Six Forks before they moved behind the Walmart off of Wake Forest Road next to Divas. Erlinas has two locations that I feel she doesnt want EVERYONE to know about. I say this because after being told that they were closing on Six Forks I was told to go to there East Millbrook location where a totally different Dominican salon is located. My last experience did it for me! The lady who acted as if she could BARELY understand or speak English REFUSED to cut my hair after receiving a Keratin Treatment and basically told me that she was done when I asked her again to cut my hair. The gentleman at the front desk at the time knew I was not satisfied when I asked him to translate what I wanted done to her. he did offer to wrap my hair due to the rain that day however it didnt make a difference to me. for those of you who continue to go to Erlinas please be aware that she has more than ONE location.

Never ever ever again. Where do I start. The shampoo girl seemed like she just started. She splashed water all over my face, didn’t wash my hair correctly and didn’t wash the shampoo out.i kindly asked her to wash the shampoo out because it was clear that she had no idea what she was doing. This place can be a hit or miss and today was definitely a miss. They then passed me off to someone else to blow dry my hair and she was just as bad as the 1st and seemed like she had no clue what she was doing. I had to request someone else who then realized that I STILL had shampoo in my hair so it needed to be washed once more. Then they began to talk about me in Spanish. Disgusting horrible customer service and I will not be returning.

All the lady did there was talk really badly about there customers, your able to ask what you actually want but theyll proceed to actually do it there way. I asked for curls so they rolled my hair up but then she went ahead and flat ironed my hair down and went back again with the flat iron and made more curls

They burnt my hair!! I have natural hair I went it for a blowout. The shampoo experience was okay although I was splashed with water like 7 times and the girl did nothing to wipe the water away or hand me a towel. I got to the chair the lady was nice although I feel she was more concerned about dancing and singing then my hair. My blowout was nice, my hair smelled burnt for over a month. I shampooed my hair a month later,my natural curl has not returned, my hair is SEVERLY damaged, and my hair STILL smells burnt after shampooing 4 times a month later. I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!

I usually wouldn’t put a review but because of this experience, i feel the need to help someone else. I usually come this salon for a blow out only But this time i chose to get color to my hair. I showed erlina pictures of what i would like and the color. She gave a book of hair colors to choose from. I showed her the color o wanted from their book and she pinned it to show another hairstylist. They then proceeded doing my hair but they put a lighter color in my hair which turned my hair orange. I asked a brown color. So of course, i let the hairstylist know that’s not what i wanted. She then asked erlina for help because she doesn’t speak english. I began saying again that i chose the color from their book so that’s what i wanted. After confusion and several of them talking back and forth. One of them brought the book up to me and erlina in which showed the color i chosed still pinned. Because of this, they then tried to reconcile the problem by supposedly putting the correct color. After the second time, washing, while my hair is still wet, it looked like the brown color i wanted. After blowing it out, it became lighter and turned to a blonde. As a licensed professional they shouldve known that this may happen. I’m not a confortational person and i understand people make mistakes but i expected them to reduce the cost for their errors. Instead she acted like she didn’t understand what i was saying. I allowed this to be a lesson learned to never do business with them again. My hair looks very dry and may be damaged because of this dye now. Ive always been known for natural and healthy hair. I will continue to take care of my hair with someone else. Please don’t make the mistake i made.

Their prices change constantly, they talk about their customer in Spanish....but little did they know I had translation on my phone. Horrible establishment, how is a blowout for an 11 year old...$50. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE! I recommend going to see Jhoanna on Fox Road, she’s very professional and her prices stay the same and she works out of her home! Very unprofessional, they erased my first review, I WILL KEEP REPOSTING my review.

Terrible customer service. Noone asked if I needed help when I walked through the door. They left me under the dryer and didnt come check to see if I was dry. The only thing good about this place is that they are open on Sundays. The one on New Bern Ave sucks!!
