Never benefited from these guys they fo a great job of coming out trying to get new members but you never know what your money was being sent out for. They claim they are working to get us raises and I have been with the state over 12 years and I have not seen a dam raise from seanc and purchasing power is a joke the way overcharge for the things on there double pay for most items I take my chances at Aarons. After 12 years of being with seanc I have had one keychain and a ton of mail about nothing. Someone that works with seanc said they get hotels and party so thank you for nothing and good bye

I’m sure these people do the good they claim to do for state employees, but from my experiences with them, they are the most rude and pushy people when it comes to recruiting new members. I don’t even show up anymore when they come to my organization for recruitment.

The SEANC has never been a benefit to me as a retired state employee or during my working years. Thier lobbying efforts never seem to pan out for the dues payers. I was a member for many years while working and for about ten years after retirement. They have never delivered for me and thier failure to secure raises for active or retired employees is terrible.

Sorry but will never re join this association. Ive been retired almost 10 years and never get a COLA. Pretty much a waste of time making this comment not that it will be read.. Enjoy the fun you folks will have pretending to make progress at the yearly conference its more or less a easy way to party with others money paying the bar tab...

They took over 1,000 out my check from payroll deduction unauthorized. I signed up after been gone with the State for 6 yrs. I went to the office to get my money back and to find out why they did that. They couldnt tell me only to say the computer did it. This was for 1,000 member dues and I wasnt working with the State. The sad part about it is everyone is rude dont care about me and my money .I trusted the Association but now I see that they are only robbing members. They wouldnt even allow me to speak with the President to handle getting my money back. I worked all month long now I cant pay my bills because of this problem. I am forced to seek legal help. Please State Employees WATCH OUT. These people are only taking our money.

I find it funny that the only way to cancel my membership is in writing considering they have taken over $6000 in dues over the past year alone. I dont see that they do much and you cant even access their website on my Samsung Galaxy 10. They were supposed to enclose how to cancel the membership in an email to me which never happened. Ive been with the state for over 11 years and they have gone up on the dues through the years and $500 to $600 a month is ridiculous for 1 person to pay them. I dont care about the little snacks they bring every so often considering I probably paid for them anyway.

I believe in the need for an organization to represent the state employees of NC. Unfortunately this one cannot be trusted. First, the past president stole massive funds due to poor oversight and management. Now the staff has fraudulently attached my pay check twice to pay into an account I did not authorize, the amount was hundreds of dollars. I eventually caught on to the deductions and the money was refunded but not without multiple calls. Their explanation was a “simple mistake”. No, a simple mistake is misspelling my middle name, taking hundreds of dollars out of my pay check without my knowledge or consent is something very different. Several months passed and I noticed that they were taking money from me again; it turned out to be the same situation again. They were taking money away from me and paying into a program they have for someone else’s purchases. I have never had an account with those people but again they said it was a “simple mistake”, to do this to me twice is unforgivable.As much as I need SEANC I cannot risk you stealing from me again. I wonder how many other people have money taken from them without their knowledge by this organization. If they have done it to me twice, it is hard to believe I am the only one.Now you have raised the dues to $14.00 that $60.00 per year increase wipes out most of any raises I have gotten in recent times. You have to do better; NC State Employees need you to do better.Remove me from the membership roster.
