I really hate going to the dentist but I truly dont mind going to Dr Torreys office. His staff is amazing and so caring. They treat me with the upmost respect and kindness. I have what feels like a great relationship with the dental hygienist and the two I have had are so wonderful. They are the ones that keep me coming back to see Dr. Torrey too. The other thing I like is Dr. Torrey is honest even when the news is easy to hear. I feel that he is doing whats right for me and thats a great feeling.

Always had a good experience with the staff at Torrey Dental. They have all been personable and willing to answer any questions. I so appreciate the quality of individualized care and not feeling pressured to do procedures that truly dont make sense for me. Thank you, Torrey Dental!

My fiancé has been living with pain for 3 years. He’s been to multiple providers to seek the source of the problem and they’ve all told him it was a clenching issue.Dr.Torrey took the time to listen to him and try to understand what the issue may have been. After an extensive exam he found the source. The front ladies were great figuring out his insurance coverage. They were very understanding considering he was under VA care as an emergency.Holly, the assistant was profoundly helpful chair-side and with radiographs. During the procedure she made sure he was comfortable. Words can not express how extremely happy he is living pain free.

I recently became a patient of Dr. Torrey and his clinical team since moving to the area. I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Torrey. I had my first appointment a few days ago and it was probably one of the best dental experiences I have ever had. Dr. Torrey explained was so personable and friendly. He is knowledgeable and explained things to me thoroughly in a way that non-dentist folk can understand. I also liked the dental assistant, Holly, that worked with me! She was friendly and knew what she was doing. I like how both Holly and Dr. Torrey made me feel welcomed as a new patient and I like the way that they gathered information about my dental history. I didnt feel blamed or shamed for the condition of my teeth at all. I like when healthcare professional approach patients with curiosity and open ended questions instead of with assumptions and closed ended questions. Oh, and the schedulers are very kind and sweet, too!! I am relieved to be a patient of a great dental team 😌

The Farwell’s have been seeing Dr.Torrey and his staff since the office opened. A couple years back we had a change in our dental insurance and Dr. Torrey was out of network so we had to find another dentist. For a couple of years we were patients of another practice. We had good care at this other practice but it just was not at the level of care we were use to with Dr. Torrey. Lucky for us our dental insurance changed and we were able to switch back to Dr. Torrey which we did in a heartbeat! Great care, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Torrey is so personable and kind. Highly recommend! Just be careful as Dr. Torrey is always trying to work you over for you secret fishing spots!!

This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. My anxiety level is a 10 going to the dentist. Dr. Torrey and his entire team made me feel really comfortable. I had to have a root canal and experienced NO pain at all. Even before he gave the shots. I truly think Dr. Torrey is magic!

I am always very anxious and nervous about going to the dentist but once again Dr. Torrey and his hygienist Lonnie calmed my fears and put me at ease. Lonnie took her time and kept talking to me, making sure I was ok. She gave me a valuable lesson on whitening toothpaste and told me that I was using the wrong one and gave me a list of dentist approved whitening toothpaste. I would recommend Dr. Torrey to anyone, especially those who are not excited about going to the dentist.

He has a great sense of humor to keep things light-hearted, while remaining very attentive to detail and professional. Dr. Torrey and his team are amazing! I had to set up an appointment for a sore tooth. Previously I had a bad experience at a different dental office, so I was very anxious for the treatments I needed. My cleaning and filling could not have been better! This was the easiest and most pain free dental experience I have had to date. Dr. Torrey listened to my concerns and took them seriously, and he was thorough in making sure I was okay and comfortable during my filling. Everyone who works here is funny and kind. Shout out to Amy for being gentle with my cleaning after I hadnt been to the dentist in years. So glad I found this place!

Never had a bad experience ... always presented with pleasant staff, DH and Dr. Torrey himself! I have had fillings, root planing and referred to Root Canal. They watch for the progress of my teeth. I’ve gone to Dr Torrey for a few years and had great service, but it’s still a dentist. Not very high on my “favorite things to do list.” Well, I chipped a tooth on Saturday and was supposed to be on a plane on Monday. They fit me in and got me fixed up quickly. Amazing customer service in talking with the dentist on a Saturday evening and having it fixed on Monday morning at 7am.

Dr. Torrey and his staff are great! So down to earth and helpful with changes in scheduling! The story is I had a great night guard for about a week. Dr. Torrey warned me about how animals make it into a chew toy. I came home to find the dogs chewed a hole in the case and destroyed the guard. Dr. Torrey laughed it off and offered to replace it at a lower rate. I’m very grateful! Thanks ya’ll for your understanding and sense of humor!

The treatment was great. Very professional by Lonnie and Marcus. The Check In Software left something to be desired. I understand they are working on it.

I hadnt been to a dentist in over three years so I was really nervous to finally go in because I knew I would need some work done. I told Dr. Torrey about my past dentist experiences and why I was nervous and put off seeing a dentist for so long but he put my mind at ease and made me feel a lot better about the procedures I would have to have. I was really nervous going into my root canal but the process was so easy and so painless and now I cant wait to go back to Dr. Torrey to finish getting my crown and see the final results.

Dr Torrey has been our family Dentist for several years. He has done root canals, filings, crowns, dental implants, etc. He and his wonderful staff are very knowledgeable, skillful and caring. Dentistry at a high level.

My last visit was for a cleaning. My dental hygienist, Anna, is always amazing! She is so kind, thoughtful, and personable. She makes every dental hygiene trip a real pleasure. Plus, she does an excellent job and gives good advice for care between visits. I also cannot say enough about Sharon and Anne at the front desk. They are always friendly and helpful and keep everything running very smoothly. Torrey Dental is a top-notch office all around.

Holly was great, would recommend to anyone looking for dental needs. Dr. Torrey was incredibly intelligent and will go here from now on, super professional while also being personable and helping each client efficiently.

Im writing this review 4 years after being a patient and seeing multiple other dentists in the interim.Before I was doctor, I was on restrictive grad student insurance and chose to see Marcus primarily due to favorable reviews. Unfortunately, I had lasting negative experiences when I was a patient.Ranked worst to ... less worse:Marcus first told me that I would need a crown on my Molar as my tooth would collapse in a matter of months. This was an expensive procedure. 4 years later not a single problem with this tooth and all other dentists I saw couldnt believe he would recommend it at this time.He also botched a cavity fill and left a gap in between my teeth that has been problematic over the year. This area is prone to get chunks of food stuck in it and is very difficult to clean now.He improperly filed *two* teeth down after filling cavities which caused severe pain until I could get an appointment with him again. No apologies either.I was naive at the time, but I would suggest seeking second opinion if you are having serious dental work. The cleaning and basic check-ups are fine. The main issue stemming from my experiences is that Marcus was so confident in his incorrect opinions and did not take a more probabilistic or scientific approach.

Very nice place, reliable dental work, and especially good at working with graduate student dental insurance. You pay up front for your end of the cost at time of service, but theyll sit you down and let you know exactly how much the work you need done will end up costing you after your first assessment. They seem to be very sensitive to the limited nature of our dental insurance and finances. Overall: highly recommended.

Dr. Torrey has been my dentist for seven years now. A recent emergent root canal procedure has inspired a whole new appreciation for his exceptional patient care, dentistry talents and the impressive customer service of his staff. Sharon and Anne went above and beyond to work me in during a holiday week and sent me cost and insurance coverage estimates in minutes. Dr. Torrey even personally checked in on me over the holiday and truly made me feel like priority—he contacted me to reschedule my appointment as soon as a time opened up. While a root canal isn’t a pleasant procedure, there is no doubt in my mind Dr. Torrey did everything possible to minimize my discomfort. And he again checked in on me afterwards. For someone who does thousands of these procedures and has hundreds of patients, he sure took care to ensure my every question was answered and explained what he was doing and why at every step—that level of patient care is impressive and so appreciated. Just had my first appointment at Torrey DDS this morning. I experienced the highest degree of professional skill AND customer service from Dr. Torrey, the hygienist, and the secretary. This is an extremely high quality small business. They listened to my comments and provided a high quality patient intake experience. I cannot wait for my upcoming cleaning appointment!

I went to my family dentist in Florida for 22 years so when I moved to Pullman 3 years ago I was nervous about seeing a new dentist that I can trust. Dr. Torrey and his staff are wonderful! Always on time, Ive never waited for my appointment. The receptionists are helpful and courteous and send reminders for your appointments. You wouldnt think from the outside of the building that the office would be modern and trendy with new magazines and complimentary drinks. Never had a rough hygienist, they do a thorough job with routine cleanings and do it gently! Dr. Torrey is conservative with xrays which I respect and trust (I am down to xrays every 3 years). He uses instrumentation and quality medicine to determine the best plan of care for your dental needs. 5 stars.

Wow! (This is the highest grade I ever received, on a high school paper). The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the front desk. Prior to the appointment, I was given complete information on what to expect at the first appointment as a new patient.Absolutely every person, including Marcus, who met with me was amazingly friendly, pleasant, helpful, thoroughly competent.I was amazed by how thorough the exam was and I dont believe Ive ever had my mouth looked at so closely. Highly impressed. From start to finish Dr. Torrey and his staff do it right. Dr. Torrey, his hygienists and assistants have great chair-side manner, are fast, efficient, thorough and personable. The office as a whole appears to be running so smoothly that it is clearly a team effort.I was in for routine upper wisdom teeth extractions following what was nothing less than a perfectly executed exam and cleaning months earlier. They took the time to explain exactly what was going to occur and made sure I was comfortable and at ease. The whole thing took about 20-25 min from the time I sat in the chair until I was ready to leave and the extraction probably took no more than 2-3 min per tooth and barely felt him working. Obviously this wouldnt be accurate for all extractions, but Im sure that whatever the situation it will be a best case scenario when coming to Torrey.

Our family has been going to see Dr. Torrey for twelve years now and has never had a negative experience. From the front office staff to Dr. Torrey himself, everyone has been professional and caring and given wonderful quality of service. In particular we love each of the hygientists we have used. Helen Wood is my favorite. She is thorough, careful and compassionate with my teeth and dental issues every time.. As a matter of fact, my youngest daughter for years, has asked when she gets to go to her next dental appointment rather than dreading those visits. I highly recommend the entire staff.

I had to get a crown in Michigan before moving to Pullman. The tooth has caused pain and discomfort since. Before moving, I had to get the bite adjusted multiple times. After struggling with pain in my molar for 3 years and not being able to chew on that side of my mouth, the crown popped off. The exposed root caused immense pain. I called Dr. Torreys office and they got me in as soon as possible. They were extremely friendly and careful with my tooth. The pain is now completely gone and I can finally use that side of my mouth. Thank you!

The staff at Torrey Dental have given me phenomenal care for the last four years. I have some abnormally painful gums because of former orthodontic issues and my normal hygienist, Helen, always goes above and beyond to make my experience as painless as possible. She is caring and patient and I actually look forward to my regular cleanings. (I know. Crazy, right?) I recommend Torrey Dental to all my friends.

Absolutely great! I hadnt been to the dentist for several years, and I have always had mediocre experiences in the past. Dr. Torreys office was great, and they even squeezed me in the same day for a cleaning in addition to my original appointment, which saved me a lot of time and effort. They did a wonderful job and I felt they were very thorough, and Dr. Torrey made sure to give me as much information as possible without it feeling as though he was trying to sell me on procedures I didnt need. I will definitely be making Dr. Torrey my regular dentist from now on!

Besides being a clean, efficient and friendly office, the tooth repair work is exquisite. Extreme care is taken to match colors, mold or shape repair work to match other teeth and your bite, and care is taken to provide the most cost-efficient service.

Ive been seeing Dr Torrey for about 10 years and have been 5 star happy until lately. But my last two appointments have been rescheduled because they have had conflicts and Dr Torrey cant make time to examine my mouth for the 5 minutes a year he usually does during annual cleanings. I had ex-rays 2 visits ago and he still hasnt reviewed them with me. Im not sure what has changed but I am starting to feel like he is too busy for my family and me. I am considering changing dentists. Ill probably give it one more visit since I have been with him for so long and see what happens. The cleanings and dental work itself has always been great and everyone in the office is always friendly and helpful. Im just sorta getting a feeling he might be scheduling too much and that worries me a bit about the quality of the work.

Everyone is cordial and professional. They seem well trained and knowledgeable about their profession and are willing to share details about the science of what they do when you ask, which I appreciate.

Excellent care and service

The worst experience with dentist so far. I needed to fix one of my tooth because it was broken (chipped) instead of fixing my tooth first they wanted to charge me with some $2000 for fillings which I did not need and another $4-5k for tooth implant (my insurance doesnt cover this). I am glad to found another (I mean honest) dentist who fixed my chipped tooth for $200 and told me that my cavities are not a problem. These people want to rip you off.

I selected Dr. Torrey because of all the good reviews on Google Places and I was not disappointed. I had to have a deep clean plus all 4 wisdom teeth removed (along with other future procedures). The only discomfort I felt through any of the procedures I had there was very minor soreness in my jaw from holding my mouth open. Thats it, including the extractions. And theyre fast. Dr. Torrey is awesome and very personable, and his staff are really mindful of discomfort, costs, customer satisfaction, proper dental hygiene, etc. Never thought I would look forward to going to the dentist but if he can make pulling teeth and other dental procedures feel that comfortable, Id go everyday. Thanks Dr. Torrey!

My initial appointment with Dr. Torrey and his dental team was fantastic. Most dentists that I have been to is the past spend very little time with their patients - this was not the case with Dr. Torrey.
