My mom lived in the memory care wing for about three years. Every time I saw her she told me how much she hated Regency. I grew to hate it too. The girls who work on the floor are decent --- their hearts always seemed in the right place. But the lack of communication, the low level of medical care, the lousy food and the non-existent activities were always a grinding reality. The place bumbled along, but with the onset of pandemic, the ineptitude and lack of real understanding of the elderly jumped to the fore. Try to find an alternative --- especially with the pandemic. Once the pandemic has passed, with constant visitation and familial supervision the place is passable. Be prepared to provide a lot of extras.
My grandmother has lived here several years and enjoys it very much. There are lots of activities (movies, games, trips out, bingo, crafts, exercise, live music, visiting beauticians etc.) planned for the seniors and the staff have been nothing short of fantastic. My mother visits my grandmother every day and I have accompanied her to Regency dozens of times. Cant recommend this place enough!
I normally would never make a bad review but this is one place that I would not want my parents / family members! If you love sandwiches on the daily! Inmates in prison eat better than thee residents here! Care staff is over worked and I can’t even visit my family during this epidemic! Not worth the money I pay !!
