Everyone at this hospital is absolutely amazing at their jobs. Debbie and Grace at the front desk were very kind. All of the nurses I encountered were truly a blessing to have by my side. Mindi, was my overnight nurse and deserves all the praise in the world. Melissa was my nurse the next morning and was also so great, as well as Kyli. Everyone did an amazing job at keeping me relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Young was my surgeon and I couldnt have asked for better. I flew from Colorado just to have her do my surgery and it was the best decision I could have made..Highly recommend this hospital. I cant imagine having done my surgery anywhere else.

Had hip replacement. Everything went very smooth. Dr. Smith was great. He kept family informed as we went. The nursing staff was amazing. Very concerned and helpful. Essa, Olga and Katrina were all great! Thanks Northwest Specialty.

This hospital is just the right size and everyone gives you such a high level of service, unparalleled with other hospitals and facilities! Olga was such an outstanding Nurse and really showed how much she cared during our visit and stay! We had such a great experience from check-in to discharge, including physical therapy, housekeeping and dietary. The food is very high quality and all our meals were outstanding as well! We stayed 2 nights after a major surgery and were absolutely pleased with our entire experience. We hope to not need another procedure ever again, but if we do we will definitely pick NW Speciality. You will not be disappointed!!!

Doctor Dunteman is the best. His entire staff as well as the team at Northwest Specialty Hospital is first class all the way. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and the care and service that I received beginning to end. 10 stars out of 5.

Dr. Young and every single person on staff made me feel at home. Even though my day was longer than expected, I felt very comfortable and cared for the entire time. The nurses in recovery made sure to bring me snacks that worked with my dietary restrictions, and literally nothing hurt once, not even getting my IV set up. I would highly recommend the Northwest Specialty Hospital to anyone, especially someone looking for quality women’s care.

I had shoulder replacement surgery at Northwest Specialty Hospital last week and it was unlike any hospital experience I have had before. The feel of the facilities was more like a hotel than a hospital. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The procedure went flawlessly and recovery was swift. I was headed home with my new shoulder the next morning. I highly recommend Dr. Lee Stowell and Northwest Specialty Hospital to anyone who is looking to have a surgical procedure in North Idaho.

The hospital has given me the best experiences Ive ever had at a Hospital. All of the people there treated me with full respect and were very polite. This is a 5 star hospital. I can’t tell you in words how great everyone was to me on Tuesday September 28th. From the time I checked in at 11 AM with Gabby at the front test until I left about 3:30 PM everyone there was amazing. I wish I could remember all their names. I did try to tell those I saw thanks for doing a great job. I was not there long, but you would have thought I’d been there a long time and was finally getting to go home. There were hugs for everyone. I know these great people have done and will continue to do a wonderful job and be that kind and personable to everyone. I hope they are all appreciated and told how great they are❣️During these difficult and crazy times these nurses, doctors, IV lady, anesthesia young man I had, will continue to do an outstanding job❤️

This is not a 5 star rating but a 6 star facility. After your care at NW Specialty Hospital you will not go anywhere else. Everyone we were in contact with loved their job, and you could tell they wanted to be there to care for you.

All of the staff were helpful kind and thoroughthe nurses OT PT and dietary all take thir jobs very seriously. Peyton was the BEST over night..made me feel very comfortable...even came to the room to say goodbye at the end of his shift and wished me luck.

EVERY single member of the staff from check-in to Surgery staff were friendly, smiling and full of positive vibes. I requested a prayer be said in pre op and my RN prayed a wonderful prayer. Post surgery care was also extremely professional while light hearted laughs during each phase of recovery. Best surgical care EVER!

Dr Dewing and his staff did an incredible job! My surgery went smooth & everyone was so kind & helpful. They explained everything thoroughly & the facility was super clean. I loved the blow up heated blanket….all hospitals should have them!

Everyone was so helpful, and sharp. They knew what they were doing. I came in early and they took me in before my appointment time. I have a lot of work done, this was my 34th surgery. I’ve not had better treatment anywhere. If I need another, I will request NWSH for my next surgery.

Top quality care, the thoroughness in explaining all procedures from start to finish. All the different departments so friendly and attentive. I feel Dr. Daunteman did an excellent job on my left knee replacement. He also found my bone on bone issue in 5 minutes on the first visit where another health care provider couldnt find it in two years. Checking out of the hospital today and feel much better than before check in yesterday. Thank you Dr. Roger Daunteman, the OSSM orthopedic medical offices and Northwest Specialty Hospital.

The level of care I received deserves more than 5 stars. From the time I showed up every person was super kind and helpful. They explained each step of the process for me. What a great hospital with a phenomenal staff. They truly care about the patients and their comfort while in their care.

The care I have received was exceptional. Cleanliness was a 10+. Professionalism blended with friendliness throughout my experience. However what set this hospital apart was the staff and teamwork. Everyone of the staff that was involved in my care displaed a sense of pride in what they did. Also it seemed to me they felt safe and appreciated enough to show a personal side of themselves of revealing they genuinely cared. The care exceeded my expectations! Top notch staff! Dr. Stowell and his team of nurses and house staff gave me the best care I could have imagined. I think I counted over 12 caregivers taking care of me during my overnight stay recovering from my shoulder surgery, all giving me the best care possible! Lastly I have to mention the food was out of this world! The chef brought me in a world-class dish of chicken marsala mashed potatoes and gravy and asparagus! A fluffy ham and cheese omelette with sausage and a bowl of fruit for breakfast and I was good to go! Simply Amazing! What great care they give!!

Found staff was helpful, was not conformable about after surgy care. Felt rushed to get out of the hospital when still unstable and having small issues coming out of anesthesia. Also small issue I think they call it recovery 1, and if they Want to know what it is they can call me

The entire staff was great! Everyone had wonderful bedside manner and made sure that I was as comfortable as could be before and after my surgery.

I cannot recommend Northwest Specialty Hospital and Dr. Young enough! This was my second operation for endometriosis and every single person I encountered at the hospital was amazing. Check in was easy and thorough, the nurses helping me get set up for surgery were funny and kind, and coming out of surgery two nurses were nice enough to show me pictures of their dogs and help distract me as I was working through post-operative pain. My husband said he was kept informed of everything, and when the procedure started going longer than expectected, Dr. Young called during surgery to keep him updated. She was incredibly thorough and found things a previous surgeon had missed. I feel very lucky that I found Dr. Young and this facility!

Had iguanal surgery yesterday June 24 2021…all the staff where very nice from the front door all the way until I got done…. First Lady from desk very nice.. then waiting room Tim come in to get me as I was walking he looks back and said you wallet is the floor behind the chair I was glad he saw it so start to having a great feeling about the hospital..then got my stuff shave my belly kind of awkward but he was very assertive can’t remember the 8 nurses names but all where very nice but yea I do remember ABBY she put cherry 🍒 on top of the cake she was very kind make feel safe and walk me through on my experience waking up since I wake up very emotional… ABBY was very nice I BELIEVE SHE IS THE REAL DEAL SHE CARES IF SHE TREATS ALL HER PATIENTS THE WAY SHE TAKE CARE ME EVERY WILL LOVER HER… just want to say thank you to all of you….Special thanks to Abby for not walking away when I was holding her finger i need that she might not even remember… cause her kindness is Natural Thanks again…

I had rotator cuff repair surgery at Northwest Specialty Hospital recently. The personal care from each staff member including medical assistants, nurses and the surgeon was amazing. The whole experience exceeded my expectations.

Just had a total shoulder replacement surgery at Northwest Specialty Hospital, on Wednesday.Everything has gone very well, I was discharged Thursday afternoon. The Care and comfort of their patients is their #1 priority, and the care I received was truly over the top! I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this hospital , and their staff. If I have any other surgeries to consider, it will be Northwest Specialty Hospital as my first choice!

I had my shoulder replaced at NW Specialty Hospital two days ago. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and caring. They took extra time to make sure I was comfortable and informed during each and every step. I do not recommend having your shoulder replaced, but if you do, they make the experience as manageable as possible. They even called the next day to check on my progress. The only recommendation for improvement I have is for them to get authorized to use pain pumps as a form of send home pain management. This would help the difficult transition from nerve block to pill pain management.

I had my hysterectomy at Northwest Specialty Hospital and it was the best experience at a hospital Ive ever had. The communication was great and the nurses are absolutely amazing at their jobs. They checked on me and my boyfriend often to make sure we were comfortable and explained everything in an easy to understand way.

Everyone was very respectful from the receptionist to the aide who took me out in a wheelchair. The nurses explained what they were going to do and why. The service here was excellent. I got in and out for surgery relatively pain free. The procedure was explained clearly, all details were covered and taken care of. I will definitely use them again if needed.Dr. Sarkis was great. As a doctor owned hospital all bases of pre-op, surgery and recovery were handled efficiently and easy. They made surgery day easier. I had to have a second procedure done at this hospital and it was easier and even better the second time. I would recommend this hospital for all you surgical and procedure needs. Ask your doctor for a referral next time you need a good hospital and great doctors and nurses.

I love this hospital! The people love their jobs which shows. They are friendly and helpful and will make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible.

I could not have received better care. Dr. Dirks was great at explaining the procedure before the surgery and afterwards. He answered all my questions with great thoroughness and listened to my concerns. All of the nurses were extremely kind and attentive during my stay. Casey, my nurse navigator, was extremely helpful and easy to talk to. The post-surgery care was wonderful. The facility itself was clean and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend Northwest Specialty Hospital.

The staff was pleasant and kind. They were very accommodating during the wait for surgery and recovery. It was a comfortable family environment. They are my preferred provider in this area.

My daughter had two knee surgeries within 5 weeks of each other at Northwest Specialty Hospital. She was treated so well both times and we loved all of the nurses and medical staff. They definitely have an all-star team working there, and I could tell that everyone genuinely loved their jobs and the people they get to help.

From the very beginning of my experience I have been treated so good. Orientation was amazing on the phone and check in. My husband was treated very well. The Dr and all nurses treated me with respect and took great care of me during the stay. I would chose this hospital over any other facility in our area.

I have Fahrs disease, rare genetic terminal brain disease that causes calcium and go through my brain and throughout my body. Its kind of like Disneyland, with a pinch of dementia and Parkinsons😉So Ive had many surgeries, in many different hospitals. Last year I had a surgery at the beginning of the year in Kootenai and then when it didnt hold I had to go over to Sacred Heart.Northwest Specialty Hospital has hands down been the best Hospital I have ever been in. Theres a different feel in this Hospital, like everybodys family and they run like a well-oiled machine. I had steak for dinner the first night! Really good steak!  Fat kid moment, I know! But really, steak for dinner in a hospital!The rooms were huge and very nice, the staff was amazing. This is my third shoulder surgery, and I got more training from the nurses and physical therapist then I ever had. The pharmacy girl even came in to go over my medicine with me. Every step of the way I was encouraged, educated and well taken care of.And I love Dr. Dunteman! For the last almost four years Ive been seeing another orthopedic surgeon who was too afraid to cut into me and fix anything because of my rare disease. Dr Dunteman saw the problem and fixed it right away!I cant say enough great things about Northwest specialty hospital and their staff! I will definitely be there for further surgeries:-) unless God heals me today:-) that would be cool too!

I was referred here by my chiropractor after doing a muscle test for appendicitis. The care I received was amazing. All of the doctors, surgeon, and nurses were helpful, thorough and kind while I underwent my appendectomy. If I had any questions or concerns they were right there to help answer them all in detail. I had a very pleasant experience from the time I checked in with Jewel from admitting to the time I sent in the recovery with nursing and staff were so kind and caring not to mention funny. I was very relaxed special thanks goes out to Kayla, Amber, Daryl, Trisha,and Casey. There may be a few people I have forgot, anesthesia and all. My Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Christopher Dewing does what no doctor in the area can do. I highly recommend both north Western specialty hospital and Dr Dewing.

If I had not of had Back Surgery with pain included, I would of thought I was in a Hotel with Room Service in Bed. Very quiet, Good food and Very Prompt with Service. They make you feel Very comfortable and special!! Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses!!

Hands down the best medical facility I’ve ever been to. The staff blew me away from the moment I walked in the door with their personal care. When I woke up post surgery, the CNA was right next to me, spoon-feeding me ice chips. They made me toast and had every little detail down. They not only make my husband and I feel comfortable, but truly treated us like family. They were so kind and patient. I am blown away by the service I received.
