I have been a member of Thurston Personal Training for 6 1/2 years now and they are like family to me. I have trained with Seth Thurston, Aaron Kint, Stephen Thompson and now currently with Jake (Jacob) Freeman. When I started, I was 63 years old and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be still doing this. My main goal is more to keep my muscles intake and strong. My current trainer, Jake, pushes me beyond my limit, but he knows I am capable of doing it. He is very attuned to your body needs, and knows when you just need to stretch and take it easy. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to be part of a team that devotes their time and energy to helping you be a better you- Definitely worth checking out.

I came here because I wanted to build muscle and get in shape but I have serious neck issues. So if I’m not careful it could paralyze me for the rest of my life so I didn’t want to do it alone. I knew I needed a higher caliber personal trainer then at traditional gyms.I’ve been getting much stronger, my productivity at work has increased with my new energy and overall I feel better and happier all day long.Prior to joining TPT, I would often injure my neck and would have to take long hiatuses. Whereas now, Seth has kept my safe which has allowed me to continue my progress long term without any pauses.

It was really hard in the beginning and I almost didn’t want to come but then the second week was amazing and I feel amazing, stronger like I’m unstoppable.The trainers push and motivate me more than I could do on my own. The Trainers are very knowledgable, friendly and know exactly how to customize the workout for my body type.Im less than 8 weeks I feel tighter, stronger and have lost 1.5 inches in my waste and my legs and thigh are 1/2 in thighs.I’m back to where I was 10 years ago!!I don’t feel tired anymore, I feel energized, I wake up in the morning feeling ready to take on the day!

Ive worked with Seth over the years on more than one occasion, each time Ive experienced tremendous results in weight loss, strength gain and flexibility. Seth has a unique skill set in that he is able to identify the amount of food you need right off the bat, and you get actual color coded diet plan documentation. The diet plan is easy to follow, flexible and has quite a bit of variety in it.Seth continues to deliver value with weekly video check-in calls. In these calls he is able to demonstrate new exercises I can incorporate into my workout routine, whilst providing a visual demonstration. Seth helps me prioritize certain exercises over others, which is extremely valuable to me as I can get the most out of my exercise time. As an example, Im shown how to safely perform exercises that help build strength and provide a stretch at the same time.Seth is always very well spoken, on time, very positive, and helps hold me accountable in our interactions. Seth constantly looks to provide additional value, even when things are, in fact, going well. I never feel like I had an experience that wasnt valuable with Seth. If you get a chance to work with Seth for your fitness goals, consider yourself a lucky person. I cant make a higher recommendation.

When I walked in I instantly felt Intimate and laid back environment that I knew was a good fit for me!The personal training program is so comprehensive they included things I didn’t realize I needed until I needed them! From tracking your results with 3D Technology, 1 on 1 Training, Customized Meal Plan, (Food delivery if I didn’t want to cook), Assisted Stretching to help your body recover with their Infrared Sauna and Compression Therapy (my favorite part).It’s an amazing experience and the results are exceeding my expectations I don’t know how I could ever do this on my own.If your looking to change your life then I highly recommend Thurston Personal Training!

I was not sure what to except since I do come from a sports background and have somewhat of a fitness base. The team at TPT really personalizes your workouts and meal plan to suit you best. I had the best experience with this gym. Was there training to get ready Bikini competition - Coach Seth is professional, knowledgeable, has great communication. The facility is clean and tidy with all the essential equipments you need, in a great location and has a stretch studio next door. Thurston Personal Training has completely changed my life! I started because I wanted to lose weight, build lean muscle and feel better. The results surprised me... I lost the weight, got much stronger, my energy went up, productive at work increased and It just gave me this unstoppable confidence. My back had been injured prior and it hasn’t hurt since I started the program. I’ve had personal trainers in the past and this program is by far the most comprehensive program from the workouts, nutrition, accountability to my favorite part the infrared sauna and assisted stretching!!! It was really great working out here and i would miss it. All trainers are really good and supportive. They have different way of making you workout more rigorously and i would miss working out there. They do regular body scan as well and give diet charts. They are always helping you to get the extra push in your work out while still making you put a smile on your face! The people who i work out with here are extremely friendly too. Ive been training with Seth for about 2 months and I am so excited with the results I am seeing. Ive lost about 15 pounds training 3-4 days per week and following the personalized meal plan that Seth created for me. Seth is extremely knowledgeable and pushes me to strive to live a healthy lifestyle. Most importantly he knows how to instill discipline without making a person feel bad about themselves. TPT is amazing! I started here to get ready for volleyball and was really impressed by the program and results I got!Seth worked with me on speed, jumping higher, and overall strength training which was hard for me because I never did it before. I worked muscles I didn’t even know existed but as he explained were important!It was a lot of hard work but I was able to earn a scholarship to Adam State University in Colorado and couldn’t be more happy and excited!I highly recommend my personal trainer Seth at Thurston Personal Training if you are looking to get ready for a sport or just get stronger or lose a little body fat!

I had been working out on my own for quite a while, and didnt see the results I wanted. I started working out with Seth, and within a week I started seeing the results that I was missing before! He put me on an appropriate diet for me, and helped me understand why it worked. He taught me a lot about nutrition and its importance in fitness. Thurston Personal Training is AMAZING!From the moment you enter the facility you feel so welcomed. The trainers are always so inviting and helpful. So much positive energy in this place.All the trainers are passionate about what they do and it shows. They are patient, knowledgeable, and are very good at working around your limitations while still achieving results.Everyone really does go above and beyond to make sure youre progressing, but importantly that youre understanding everything. Could not be happier!Due to some health issues, I recently gained 30 lbs, my hormones were all over the place. I initially started a high- intensity interval training program that was not a fit for me, it caused severe back and neck pain. This sent me to the chiropractor where I was diagnosed with Degenerative Scoliosis and Cervical Kyphosis. My chiropractor advised me not work out for the next 6 weeks which made me very frustrated but then I found Thurston Personal Training. After reading many positive reviews, I was excited to join! I can honestly say that after 2 weeks of training, I’m down 10lbs, no back or neck pain, and I’m finally getting a good night’s rest.

I have only been training for about 2 and a half months now and I absolutely love Thurston Personal Training. In such a short time period, this training has worked wonders for me in terms of my football career and goals for my upcoming season. I love their ability to cater towards a specific goal of mine and the constant motivation they give me to achieve these goals. In terms of time management, they have always been open to growth when it comes to my schedule and have also catered towards what times work best for me to train. With this training so far, I have been invited to the 2016 Elite 11 Opening Regional competition as a Quarterback and will be competing on February 28th in Los Angeles. I started my journey at Thurston Personal Training right before Halloween. I was a previous client of Stephens a few years back at a different gym, and knew he was the only way I could truly lose weight. I have a wedding coming up in April and have put on quite a bit of weight in the past couple of years, I knew I couldnt walk down the aisle at this weight. I have already seen results and feel amazing. Everyone here, trainers and fellow gym goers, make you feel VERY comfortable. I was pretty nervous because they have classes, and Im not a class type of person, but they are great! And they let you move at your own pace with no pressure. I have been training with Stephen for about 6 months. I am already an active person, but with Stephens help I was able to lose more inches and body fat. I have worked with other trainers before and pretty picky when it comes to working with personal trainers and Stephen is one of the best! My strength has improved while still keeping the proper technique instilled by Stephen. Stephen is very professional and knowledgeable about nutrition and building muscle to lean out. Great gym and the trainers really know what theyre doing. Check them out!I started here back in January of 2016 with never having any experience in any type of weight lifting program. It was a very humbling experience those first few months while I grained my strength but throughout my experience there the trainers will adjust with you as needed and tailor the workout to your abilities as you continue to gain strength and improve.As a reference to where I was and where I am, I could remember the first time under the bench-press bar being barely able to lift 60 lbs and can now press over 235 lbs. It took some time and I am still on my journey but they will guide you to your goals.

Ive put off personal training for years due to how expensive it can be. I finally found an affordable gym that not only caters to my financial budget but I get the best full on experience you can get from a trainer. Ive been working out with Seth for 3 months now, 5 times a week. Ive lost about 16 lbs and I feel amazing. Seth is very knowledgeable, calm and positive. His feedback is always helpful and he pushes you to work out harder and eat healthier without feeling the pressure. He will even design a personalized meal plan for you to follow. This is a great gym with plenty of equipment, a variety of clientele at different skill levels, and a friendly, professional staff that looks after you and supports your fitness goals. As someone with a bit of social anxiety, I was hesitant about starting personal training, but I urge you to overcome your nerves and visit this gym and make it part of your fitness journey.Also, I highly recommend Stephen for personal training. TPT rocks !! A true testament would be : “iPhone face recognition stopped recognizing my face. I had to reset it!! Unbelievable, Amazing transformation”. Whenever some colleague in office looks at my Id card photo, I get compliment as “who is this ?”Huge shout out to Seth, Bri and Jake for transforming this lazy, skinny fat person (163 lbs) to have visible abs (132 lbs). You guys are Amazing and Magicians, who lead me from 0 pull up, 5 BB squat, 5 BB BP to 12 pull ups, 185 lbs squat and 160 lbs BP in last 1.5 years.To be honest, I did not know what to do and how to do. At start, every workout ended with No more and give up this Morning torcher. But the constant guidance, motivation, meticulous planning by Seth has turned my attitude to “one more rep and what’s next”. I am really grateful and appreciate all the small details (correcting the form, progressive loading) Seth pays attention to. His constant feedback made me to build mind to muscle connection. His favorite regime is a 100 reps (?), man its grueling and hell lot of challenge. I do not know it’s his encouragement to push the limits or small chats, but believe me it becomes fun after 25 J. On my Low days (usually lack of sleep for our morning workout), Seth adjusts everything and make sure that it gets counts and we take one more progressive baby step. The workouts are always challenging, keeps changing with one goal “Get better”. Seth’s expert advise for nutrition and macro programming is wonderful. He always has some suggestion around changes that I can adopt within my lifestyle. His prowess for stretching is invincible, it just makes everything to recover and recharge faster.Thank you again and tomorrow we will take one step to do better at legs J

Seth and his team are amazing. Their involvement in your health extends beyond what is happening when you are there. They care about what you are eating and how you are feeling throughout the week. I am very satisfied with the results I have obtained so far. There hasnt been a single session Ive had that I didnt feel like my needs were met and my concerns considered. Ive needed special modifications to my workouts and all the trainers have been flexible and creative, without judgement. I have been working out with Seth for the last few weeks and I am loving every minute of it!!Seth is a great trainer, he is very attentive and very easy to get along with you. Most of the times when you think of a personal trainer, you think of someone yelling at you the whole time. I have been training with Seth now for about 2 months or so. I have seen a tremendous change in my body just since starting up with him. Especially, in my legs, there shape has definitely changed. He has got me doing things that when I began with him i could not even do many of the activities that I now do with ease, compared to when I began. I have gotten a lot stronger, and i like how he does his training in a group setting. the group does help with motivation too. Seth knows what he is doing, and a person will see results in a short amount of time if you work hard and eat appropriately.

TPT provides great workouts that get results! I have been going there for about 2.5 months and have seen a big change in my fitness level. They do a good job of varying the workouts and the intensity level is challenging. They put together a custom meal plan or you can choose to have customized food delivery for those who dont want to worry about meal planning. Ive never been a big fan of working out until I started at TPT; I find I have so much more energy and self confidence. I look forward to continuing with the program and achieving my fitness goals! I started working out with Bri in April, and my schedule was crazy, she was very flexible and worked with me. By May I had a consistent schedule working out three days a week. I connected with Bri immidiately, she listens, she is very passionate about fitness and helping her clients meet their goals. Bri does a great job providing variety - because I get bored very easy. I do not think I have never done the same thing twice, I love that I never know what to expect and that she pushes me (because I wouldnt). I have done some things I didnt think I could- like a higher weight, more reps or a move that I didnt think I could master. She has a geat balance between challenging and pushing me and supporting and encouraging me duing our workouts. She is very motivated to keep me focused on my goals.I love that she is so excited and passioate about what she has planned for our workouts. Her passion is contatgious and she makes workouts fun. The time does go by fast and I feel so accomplished when Im done.I have done a ton of variety of exercise such as bootcamps, classes, spin, yoga, zumba, pilates, and a trainer before. I took two years off and was nervous getting back into the grove. My trainer moved out of the county and I didnt think anybody could be as great until I was connected with Bri. Bri was great buidling my confidence back up, ensure my form, modifies when needed, and is there every step of the way. I am extremely happy that I was connected with Bri and would definately recommend her to any client, younger, older, couples anybody. My post shows my husbands name (couldnt figure out how to show it as mine) but my name is Annette Miller and I am closing in on 50. I am happy with my results, getting stronger everyday, exceeding my inital 30 day and 90 day goals and looking forward to reaching my final goal of maintenance!

Seth is an amazing trainer! Ive never met someone so dedicated to his clients and so passionate about what he does. Ive been with other trainers who you can tell are only in it for the money and with Seth, its the complete opposite. He is in it for the people. Ive been training at Thurston Personal Training for over a year now. The results have been OUTSTANDING! At first I was a little bit hesitant because I had never worked out before, but Im so glad I took the step to train with Seth one on one. Ive lost over 40 pounds and counting and gotten stronger than I expected!The only downside is that Seth and the other trainers keep me so accountable and really push me to do my best. I did one on one personal training with Seth for 4 sessions and the results after were awesome - I could feel how much of a great workout I got - he worked with my bone on bone knees and tendinitis in my shoulder and gave me an excellent workout! Highly recommend him as a trainer.

Humiliating experience - if youre just starting out, dont go here! After not working out regularly for 2 decades, I decided to join here for the accountability factor, so I can kick start my weight loss goals. On just my 3rd visit, Aaron the trainer, blatantly laughed at me for not being able to do the same weight or even slightly less as those who have been training there for years! I tried to explain that Im starting from scratch and have a previous injury and it will take time to work my way up to higher levels. He said whatever and walked away. I was so embarrassed and humiliated that I couldnt bring myself to go back for the remainder of my contract. The month was prepaid (and NOT cheap!) and the owner refused to refund my money, even though it was his employee that was at fault. Dont waste your time or $$$$ here unless you are already a hardcore body builder!

I have been going to TPT for almost a month. I started after seeing the incredible results my friend had with them. I was extremely intimidated at first. I have not done any real exercise for almost 20 years and am carrying about 100 extra pounds. The work-outs are challenging but all of the trainers have been supportive and have helped me believe I can get to my goal; primarily of being physically fit, and secondarily, of finally getting rid of this extra weight. The other clients that attend are all pretty incredible too. I highly recommend.

I have been working out with Seth Thurston for 8 months. When I started my knees were not allowing me to go upstairs very easily. I now have no trouble with stairs and have done many 3 or 4 hour hikes up & down mountain trails, as well as, 10 mile bicycle ride up & down hills.I have gone from 2.5 lb weights to 10 & 15 lb weights. I feel stronger every day & my progress at the gym never ceases to amaze me! All of this may seem standard but I feel revitalized because 15 months ago I had my hip replaced, I have severe arthritis in both my knees and I am 69 years old. Thurston Personal Training occupies a much needed middle ground between the crazy and sometimes dangerous insanity that is Crossfit and a conventional gym environment. The gym itself is ideally located at the Northwest Corner of Bell & 51. They have group classes and personal training. I chose TPT after reading all of the stellar reviews on Google and Yelp.Here is what I like about TPT. Seth and his other trainers are allvery positive and encouraging as you would expect. This place is cool and edgy like a Crossfit gym, but not nearly as intimidating. The members range in age from 20s to 50s. Some are quite fit and impressive while others are a work in progress. Theres zero attitude here. I like the vibe, the energy, and the people. His equipment isnt fancy and all matching, but he has good stuff and he uses it to maximum advantage. He gives me workouts that are always different and challenging. He is good at pushing me to stay motivated on days that I am not feeling it and helps me throttle it down a little when I try to push it too far. He is very good at listening to my feedback and adjusting weight up or down or sometimes changing the exercise itself based on my feedback and/or what he observes - just as a good trainer should. This is exactly what I asked for. Also, scheduling with Seth was a cinch. He was always very responsive and accommodating. I havent yet tried group training, but the classes and other trainers seem to be quite good as well.
