Gino came out to provide a maintenance inspection of our plumbing and was on time and very personable. The very next day, we had an emergency issue with our water heater and Gino returned within an hour of us calling and with a smile! He was persistent in figuring out the issue and was able to get a resolution the same night. He is a great technician and we appreciate his politeness and professionalism.

I needed a shower valve replaced on a rental of mine. The service tech Jose was awesome!! Actually everything about the service was great, on time, professional etc... I was a bit shocked at the price but I needed the service done as my tenants were without water all day. When the job was done I was so impressed with Jose’s work the $$$ wasn’t as big of an issue.

We had a root ball in our main sewer line that was causing blockages and slow draining. Three other plumbing companies came out to inspect and quote the repairs - each with varying prices and methods for completing the repair. When Daniel (from Penguin) came out, I immediately sensed that he knew what he was talking about and trusted his expertise. I shared what the other plumbers had told me and Daniel was able to tell me which of those services were actually necessary and which we were being over-sold on. He was able to provide a very competitive quote and said they could start the work as soon as we were ready to proceed. His colleague, Landon, came out on the morning that the work commenced and was very professional and courteous. The entire crew was beyond professional and polite. I really felt like the other providers were not being completely truthful and were trying to sell us services we didnt need. The Penguin team provided an impeccable service for a reasonable price and did so on time. We will definitely use them again and will HIGHLY recommend them to others.

Really impressed with the level of service that Penguin Air provided. Ive been burned in the past with other providers and Penguin provided honest and prompt service to install two new units in our house. I worked with Jeff from Sales and Marcin on the implementation side and they were outstanding, friendly, and extremely reliable. They even use great software to let you know when theyre on their way and for customers to easily rate their experience. Replacing AC sucks, its expensive, but Im very happy that we chose Penguin Air.

Penguin Air did a great job servicing my A/C units. They recommended multiple options and things to repair my overall system. This was my second time using them and Zeb was a pleasure to work with. I do think their prices and services are definitely at the higher end based on previous experiences, but ultimately I am satisfied for the work completed.

We have used Penguin Air, Plumbing & Electrical for a couple of times and they always provide AMAZING customer service from the time we call with an issue to the Technician performing the repairs. We had an issue with our HVAC pipes and Zeb Spencer was our Technician. He called prior to arriving, arrived on time and inspected our issue. Zeb provided a great recap of the issue and recommendations. He was able to repair and provided us with amazing service. He is very knowledgable, friendly and explained everything in detail. Thank you for your amazing service and keeping our HVAC running to prevent further complications.

I purchased 2 new AC Units at the end of March. When the summer hit in June they started blowing hot air. I called their office and they said someone would be out the next day. No one showed, I called at 11:00, 3:00, 7:00 and 9:00 and each time was told that I was on their schedule for that day. I called the next morning and was assured someone would be there then (The day after I took off work so I could be there). When he got there he say the coolant was leaking. I was told that the office would call me to have someone come out and do a leak check and fix the problem. No one called-less than a week later the units started blowing hot air again. I called to get someone out to fix the problem (that was on a Friday) they stated that their technicians could not get out till Tuesday but they could get someone out Saturday to re-charge the unit. Come Tuesday, again, no-one showed up. I got a call at 2:30 for them to inform me that they were too busy to make it to my house. Then they re-scheduled for Thursday. Then this morning, the person who came out to my house to fix my issues was there to work on the ducts. He told me he was not there to touch the units, and that is handled by a different department. I told him to call his manager and to get someone out to fix the units, because if the units are blowing hot air then it makes no sense just to fix the ducts to increase air flow to 3 vents downstairs. Then he left. In full transparency, I did speak harshly. I then called the office to speak with a service manager to get someone else out there to actually fix my units, and was told they were all in a meeting and couldnt take my call. Do yourself a favor and dont use these guys. I am not upset because the units have issues that need to be fixed, I am angry because this has been going on for 3 weeks in 115 degree heat and my issues are not important enough for someone to come out to my house to fix the leak on the system they installed.

My AC unit went out at 11:00pm, I called to get someone to come look at it. They were at my house by 12:00am and fixed by 1:30am. The Tech Joey was very informative and knowledgeable. I was very happy with their service and professionalism.

Dont hire just any contractorTrying to hire a quality company takes time. Of course, the AC went out after business hours. We called at 7p, they got here at 11. The wait sucked, but it’s a big city with hot weather and they’re busy. He fixed the problem in about 10 minutes and went on his way. It was an electrical issues, which is common here evidently, and out of my husband’s scope of knowledge. Great experience with Penguin! I called around 10:30 am as something was wrong with our AC and the heat was rising it was 85 inside. They scheduled me for same day, the Technician Josh was here within 2 hours from my original call. Super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. MY PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HOWEVER PLEASE READ BELOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN READING MORE. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT BASED UPON THIS INFORMATION.My water heater unfortunately broke very suddenly, and leaked for around an hour before I switched it off. It was in my garage, so the garage was wet but the water did drain mostly into the street. Of course, I needed a new hot water heater to be installed, so I could have hot water again. As a member of Penguin Airs monthly club, which I had joined in case things like this happen, I called them to have a member of the team around. The plumber arrived and told me that I can either pay for the new heater myself - twice the price of competitors for the same water heater - but there could be significant dry wall damage, so the best thing would be an insurance claim. This is where the scam started. He explicitly stated that if I paid Penguin Air in cash it would be a lot less, however that would be out of my own pocket. He explained that the advantage of claiming against my insurance would be Penguin Air charge the insurance company significantly more that I would pay for the same work and then, at the end of the job, once everything is complete with insurance, theyll write me a check for my deductible so I dont end up paying anything. He described it almost as a win-win for us and them. I lay out some money, in line with what insurance asks for, and they reimburse it later. For the record, in the end I went with another reputable, recommended company that replaced the water heater for 50% less than the Penguin Air quote for the same device, and the plumber simply told me to run fans for several days instead to dry out any damp. The plumber from Penguin Air, however, didnt use water detection meters, or even look at the heater very closely. He just came up with that scam immediately, and was ready to get me to sign - putting pressure on me by highlighting the danger of having damp potentially in there. He just didnt realize that I recognize fraud when I see it. When I pointed out that this was in fact a fraudulent scheme, he said that they do this hundreds of times every year and it works for many of their customers. I wanted to report this as this impacts honest customers like myself. I was extremely upset at such a large, prominent company offering such an obvious insurance scam.Choose for yourself. Im not going to tell you either way. But I will be steering clear of the company in the future.

I was at work and needed some time to review the estimate and make a decision. Once I agreed, he came all the way back in pouring rain to do a temporary fix so we could have AC running until our new unit is installed in a few days. Short version: The company is expensive, has very poor communication, doesnt do what they say they are going to do and are technically incompetent.Long version:Went with Penguin originally because of the seemingly good reviews that they had on Google. We had been having issues with our AC for a couple months and were willing to pay the extra money to go with a reputable company so that we could end the nightmare. Unfortunately, it was really only the beginning. The day the AC was installed we could not get the temperature below 85 degrees. Whoever I talked to would try and tell me that the new systems were not as good as the old R22 systems and that the tech had confirmed before they left everything was working as intended. That didnt seem likely so I asked to have someone else come out.The next individual came and did nothing as they seem to have multiple different departments in AC (warranty, install, tech - not really sure) who all have a variety of excuses as to why they are not the right person to assist and will pass the problem off to the next person.The next guy came out and said that the refrigerant was low and filled it up and apologized. I was cautiously optimistic that would help but it did not.The next guy came out and said that the ducts were not properly sealed and he had put tape on the outside to fix it. I asked, incredulously, whether tape was going to be the final fix for the leak and he said it was rated for 25 years and would be fine. I found this a little suspicious but said okay.The next morning I went into my attic to blow insulation to try and do anything I could to cool my house down from the 110+ degree heat and found the attic was probably more comfortable than my house. So...The next guy came out and said that the tape the previous guy had put on had fallen off and it should really be applied to the inside of the ducts otherwise the air will push it away (makes sense). After pressuring him for some more details on the issue, he finally admits the initial tech also messed up and put a piston system instead of a TXV which is what my unit requires and is likely the source of my problem. They also advise that part will take a couple weeks to get.At this point Im obviously a bit frustrated and call a couple times requesting to have a manager or someone call me back. As of now, I have yet to have anyone from management contact me even though I have requested it multiple times.Good news is they got the part earlier.The next guy came and installed it. Bad news is the unit is now running worse than it was before. Havent even called to deal with that yet. Maybe they will finally get their act together and call me back like they were supposed to.Bonus: They put a hole in my ceiling when they stepped through it. In their defense, they did send someone out to fix it though. Im okay with companies making mistakes if they make right. Unfortunately, this was the only case where they did.

I want to Thank Daniel Lopez for coming out late in the evening to unclog my toilets. We had family over and who knows what was tossed into the toilets. Mr. Lopez was very professional and knowledgeable. He save the evening and the morning, since some family members stayed the night. Toilet working . Thank you ! Zeb came over to diagnose my ac problems. I already knew what was wrong from my own research as well as having a competitor come prior in the week. I was quoted about 25% more than the competition and once i told Zeb I wasn’t interested in getting the repairs done through Penguin, his demeanor changed entirely. Tried shaking the guys hand before he left but he quickly turned away and rushed out of my house without saying a word after i signed the last page on his ipad. I essentially paid a $70 diagnostic check fee for their rep to act rudely and give me info i already knew.

We’ve used Penguin Air for a year now. First time was about a year ago when our AC quit. Called several AC repair companies across the area, Penguin was the first to get back to us. Just had them out again today. We had the service tech Nathan both times. He was great. He let us know what we needed at the moment and what we could wait on. He didn’t try to push anything. We will be requesting him next time we need any AC maintenance.

Buyer Beware. Seniors in particular. Thats all I can say at this time because I have their Penguin Plan.This is a rebuttal to the owners response; Once we repair the sewer line penguin always does a good job of putting back the landscaping. We are not a professional landscaping company so it wont be perfect but it will look presentable. This is a direct quote from your contract, from our contract. All I asked was for my front yard to be left in a presentable condition. When I spoke with a manager he told me it looked like a giant scar,If my complaint was not valid why would your plumber that I finally got to come to finish the job tell me by telephone that he got chewed out by his boss and also why is it when he finally came over he didnt even bother to ring the doorbell to let me know he was out there, or to tell me he was done. Speaking of lack of professionalism I asked for a quote for an electrical rewire of my house your guy didnt even bother to come down to my house to inspect it he just gave me a quote over the phone sight unseen for an outrageous amount which was 2 to 3 times the price everybody else quoted me for that same job. I stand by my original statement.

When the technician “Nathan” arrived we went over the concerns, and explained the process and was very knowledgeable. We called the customer service line and the representative was kind and knowledgeable, he was able to send us an incredible technician to repair our AC. Our home was having issues with a zone in the house not being able to cool to temperature. Contacted Penguin Air and was able to have someone at our house the next day. James (our tech) reached out before arriving and diagnosed the issue. Great customer service. Will use Penguin Air for my next AC maintenance needs in the future.

The service guys name was Josh. Josh was friendly and knowledgeable, and even though it was late at night he didnt rush through the repair and patiently answered all of my questions. He had my A/C working perfectly within minutes, and even explained what the parts he was replacing do and what to look out for next time to avoid the unit to stop working completely. We live in Arizona, and our summers are brutal so the education was worth its weight in gold.Because of him, my family didnt have to endure roasting while waiting for another company to come out and look at my A/C TWO DAYS LATER.

Jose Geuvera was there when he said he would be. He was professional and personable (like your friendly neighbor). He went above and beyond in installing my new Ro system and making sure all the plumbing in my kitchen worked. He even came back himself to finish when we had to call the manufacturer of my faucet for a special part only available from them. I would recommend him and Penguin Air and Plumbing any day.

Dealing with Penguin air was like a roller coaster..James was professional, informative and had great service. Installation techs werent as professional, left some debris and didnt seem like they knew what they were doing. Called again, new ac install air and it was still hot, that tech was informative and then had a fourth person come in to place a requested thermostat that wasnt initially installed. If I had received service from just James this would be a five star review because of service, his professionalism and covid dress code. However not everyone with the company had the same professionalism or dress code... no mask, no booties...

Had penguin air come to my house to do some emergency plumbing a couple weeks ago. When the technician arrived he was very professional and ready to work. He introduced himself and asked me about the situation. I showed him where the problem was and he basically knew everything moving forward. I believe the gentleman’s name was Jose Guevara, he knows exactly what he’s talking about and what he’s doing. This is the type of quality work and customer service that should be given. Five stars for that gentleman and the company.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of service on their AC system. They gave us a free second opinion on a quote we received to install a new condensing unit and furnace / air handler. The previous companys quote was cheaper, but Penguin offered so much more, AND financing.Once they confirmed our units needed replacing, the technician sat my wife and I down and went over all different brands and options, recommending us the best for our budget, and different financing options since having your whole system replaced averages at least $10,000.The first company came in a few thousand under Penguins quote, but Penguin doesnt have any surprise add-ons that other companies do. Part of our ceiling had to be removed, but Penguin schedules a contractor to patch it up like new. Any additional supplies that mightve been needed were also covered at no additional cost. They also supplied a portable AC unit while we waited a day for the install.The install crew was also very fast and professional. They had the entire job complete in just 2 and a half hours. They cleaned their mess and left the old units on the curb for a same day cleaning crew to pick up.If youre looking for an AC company for your next job, I recommend at least giving Penguin a call to see your options!

Our AC went out on the night of the 4th of July and Penguin Air was there by 7:30am the next morning! I loved that they are open 24 hours so that I could call and get on their schedule right away. We had a leak in the underground pipes a couple days ago, technician Jose did an amazing job taking that problem off our hands. He explained the process and made us feel comfortable moving forward getting it fixed at such a reasonable timely manner. Definitely calling this company again.

I had a leak in my main water line from the meter into my house. José discovered the location of the leak almost instantly. He was very systematic removing patio stones to get to the problem. He then dug and chopped tree roots, & routed around the main root of the tree and repaired the crack that the root caused.Jose was very informative as to what he was going to do and did it and repaired & cleaned out the pressure valve that had collected dirt and wasn’t functioning properly due to the leak. I have used Penguin for two years and they have done electrical, HVAC and plumbing in my home and I am very, very happy.

I have dealt with penguin air on two occasions. First , clogged toilet . Very professional and efficient got the job done the first time. Second, I had an A/C emergency. They came out assessed the problem fixed it They also called a restoration subsidiary to come assess the damage . They came out the same time Penguin did. Very amazed how everything was handled. The gentleman didn’t properly check the AC unit to determine the issues and instead said the entire unit needed to be replaced which was going to cost $14,000. He was asking personal questions that were none of his business. Had another company come and just said it was the compressor. Do not recommend this company!!!

My ac hasn’t been working for almost 3 weeks. Had another company in that I normally used and they missed a weeks worth of appointments to get the job done finally arrived told me nothing was wrong then left with the ac still not working. Later gave me a $600 proposal to get the job taken care of so it works properly. Called penguin and they came out next day, went through the system and told me the issue and how I can solve it. As I said since he was there he could take care of it but it would cost a couple hundred. So now my service contract is with them to keep up with my ac, plumbing and electrical. It’s hard to find honest people.

LIke changing the oil and filter in a car, good maintenance is key to a long-lasting and stress-free water system....Jose showed me where we had over 90 PSI at the water meter (norm is 40-50 PSI) and he installed a new reducer valve (think lowering your blood pressure)! He then replaced ALL the water valves and hoses (all 13 of them) with new, and he did it ON THE COPPER PIPE (no cutting corners). He then showed me the milky color of my water explaining calcium buildup and potential hazards if not addressed. Ive seen $250,000.00 water-damaged houses and claims. It sucks! I had a diagnostic service for issues with my nest thermostat that was causing my outdoor fan motor to run 24/7 and I thought the heat sequencer switch might have burned out. I was given a lot of helpful information about the function of my system, my thermostat, and was also provided tips to improve the function of my system and decrease my electricity usage. I plant to have my duct work fixed and will definitely be a returning customer!

Jair was very pleasant and professional. We had a major clog after tenants had moved out of our rental property. Pure ignorance of what people will try to flush down a toilet. Jair worked hard at trying to break through that clog. I would highly recommend Penguin Air.

Josh was great to work with. He was professional, punctual, and knowledgeable.I had come home at the tail end of the tune up and Josh took the time to re-explain everything to me after he had just went over it with my husband. Penguin Air came out to fix our AC in less than 24 hours when the company that installed our unit, Chas Roberts couldn’t. Our system was installed by Chas Roberts when we built our house in 2020. We signed up for Chas’s preferred maintenance plan so we wouldn’t have to deal with an AC unit going out in the middle of July. Unfortunately that’s exactly what happened and Chas didn’t have availability to get out to our home for another week. So much for being “preferred” customers. Penguin was able to come out the next day. Joey came out and running in under an hour. He replaced a part that was covered under warranty and charged us for labor. Joey told me Chas Robert’s locks their units so he couldn’t check everything he normally would but stated other people on Penguin’s team have the keys to unlock the unit. I was so pleased to have AC back, I went ahead and signed up for Penguin’s maintenance plan for both our HVAC units. Unfortunately today we noticed water dripping from our secondary line so called Penguin to come out again. To my surprise Penguin stated they can’t service our unit. I was shocked because as you can see, they already had. They even sold us on their “Penguin Plan”. This is 100% fraud. I asked for a refund for the labor they charged,and for their bogus plan. Unfortunately the representative I spoke with, Brent was very little help and extremely patronizing. He told me nobody would be available to discuss a refund until Monday. After placing me on hold multiple times, Brent all of a sudden told me they could come out, they just wouldn’t be able to check the Freon if it were needed. I couldn’t seem to get a straight answer. You can come out now but you can’t fix the problem? Why would I want that? Eventually I was transferred to a voicemail for Tanya a Customer Service Supervisor? I left her the info but I’m doubtful this will be resolved without getting a third party involved. More to come…

Requested plumbing services at 6am on line. A Technician was at my home at 830am the same day. The technician (Jair) was amazing, he fixed my problem very quickly, he was also wearing a mask. He was professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend Penquin Air for any plumbing, electrical or heating/ cooling needs!

Very satisfied with my technician that came out to one of my rental property’s. Nathan White was very upfront no bs and strait to the point on what needed to be done. Nice to have a technician give it to you straight and not afraid to give his honest opinion on what to do to save some money.

The technician Joey was very professional and got my air conditioner fixed and running in less than 10 minutes, after being without it for 3 nights and 3 days. I didnt know what to expect for the bill and at the end he waived the labor so I had enough to pay the bill, MAJOR props for him to do that. Penguin Air was THE ONLY one who called back and came out to my house. Ive called many places with no call back and actually spoke with one place but they were a no show and never contacted me back. We started with Penguin when we moved to the desert and we’re new to AC. We have newer units but went with a service contract. We’ve had a couple small issues. Penguin has always been friendly, responsive, courteous, professional and a pleasure to deal with. We would recommend them highly.

Called them in for a second opinion. Weve now signed up for their membership and will be getting scheduled with them to discuss financing and getting the service completed. These guys are awesome. Theyve been really professional, understanding, and definitely dont make us feel like their overpriced or taking advantage of us. I highly recommend them and even recommend their membership ($20 a month, on special for $10 for the rest of 2021). It’s incredible to have seen the 9+ hour work they put into, replacing both an outdoor and indoor unit, plus breaking out drywall to retrieve it, AND redoing a bunch of wiring for the zoning of the A/C unit. These guys were not only gentleman but truly hard workers. And again, I felt as though it were my own family working on my home. They were honest, straight to the point, but not trying to overcharge.
