Over all deal was for 25,000Paid 10,000 up frontWas at 15,000, missed a payment and he made sure he didn’t come to court …. He made sure he didn’t give us the discovery. We was very open about our financial status & he act as if he was understanding … missed 1 payment of 550. And he switched up all the way15,000 down the drain cause we had to firer him for not putting forth in the court room & not showing up.( 1 missed payment of 550$ ) made this man no longer interested….He is all about money I’m a single mother of 3 & my husband was in jail A week late on a payment and he showed his colors he did not come to court for it.. shady man honestly.

Ive had the best representation in the city by far when I hired Evan Hughes. I was facing several serious charges and things were looking grim. Mr. Evan Hughes is very rude and incompetent. His knowledge of the laws governed by the common wealth of PA are very limited. He give more opinions than facts and there is a lot of guessing and fantasizing of what will happen rather than being prepared for reality. I would never recommend this lawyer to even anyone who has something as small as a public littering charge because his negligence will get you the maximum sentence. I wish I wouldve did better research on this attorney, Ive never had a defense attorney make me feel like I hired the opposition, by hiring him to work against me rather then for me. I thought there where laws to protect you from this happening.The worst defense effort Ive witnessed by a paid lawyer to date. If you care about your well being or friends /families freedom, I suggest you find an attorney who cares more about his or her practice in defending, rather then what they can profit from being allowed to have a license to practice as a defense lawyer.I almost feel like Im being prosecuted by a defense attorney I hired to defend me.Im working with the bar association and another Law firm now, Hopefully I can seek compensation.This is unethical, and it should be punishable by law. Being persecuted by a hired defense attorney shouldnt never happen or be allowed in court.How does a case make it to trial based off hear say and circumstantial evidence.One reason is hiring a defense lawyer whos not fighting your case, continues once a month for a year without your permission!, to help prosecution and doesnt make or file one motion in your defense.What bar association did he get his license from? That is a factual statement.I, sadly, hired Evan for an extremely serious case a while ago and the day after I paid my retainer he became a ghost. As a result of his negligence, critical time passed between the initial reporting and the charge due to a lack of movement on our part for a case that lasted several years and cost north of high 6-figures.My contention with Evan is not in the charge itself that is something no one can control, my problem lies in his lack of professionalism, preying on the desperation of others by saying all the right things (he is a great salesman) and setting unrealistic expectations that were implausible or downright false. I implore you if you find yourself needing a defense attorney, to interview several people and the contrast will become glaring.I acted out of desperation and impulse because he happened to be the first one to meet with me. It was a bad move on my part, and I paid for in more ways than one. If you value your life or freedom stay clear of this door to door salesman passing as an attorney.At this point, it is all behind me, but my desire to help others before they make the same mistake I did is only just beginning.Evan, I didnt forget about you, and treating people like a quick buck has its consequences. Writing this review just days after I was found not guilty!! A week long JURY TRIAL. Mr. Hughes delivered as guaranteed. His performance was exceptional, extraordinary even. If you value your freedom & well being in the court of law, Evan Hughes should be your attorney. I believe that Evan Hughes is a very good to excellent lawyer fighting the good fight in a corrupt judicial system. I interviewed over 50 lawyers before I chose him and felt he was the best. For the record, we lost twice in summary trials carrying momentous consequences for me in Luzerne County , which is a geographical tale of county legal corruption unto itself. Research corruption in Luzerne County, the county that according some say was pivotal in electing Donald Trump. It was not his fault that we lost; we faced corrupt judges who had predetermined decisions and ignored all evidence, injury photographs of assaults, hospital record of assault, and stories by the perps that were obvious perjury heaped on perjury. Their stories changed with each appearance and witness. Evan did his best and presented a ferocious defense that the Founding Fathers would have been proud of. Our great lesson in the form of a caveat is this: If we the people do not fight for court and judge reform, including the televising of all trials, yielding a forum for public accountability then what happened to me...a 58 year-old disabled white woman with a PHD who was trying to save her daughters life at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton --- then believe me, it can happen to you, even if you choose the best lawyer, as I did. What happened to me demolished American justice, but it was a triumph of American fascism. Listen hard. Take action. Become an activist. Or we will reap a charred and defiled harvest in this Great American experiment of democracy.

I had a serious case in 2014 that worried me a lot, I met a couple of lawyers, their prospectives about my case were uncertain. When I reached out to Mr Evan Hughes, I stopped looking right away. He is very professional, very nice and top notch in his profession. As for my court date, I have never seen a preliminary trial ended so quickly. Mr Evans would lawfully shutdown the other party every time they were addressing to the judge, they barely made it to five words at once; I am not even exaggerating. The judge even had to apologize to Mr Evans for their misstatements and corrected them for their lack of knowledge about the twist of the law in question. Mr Evans rocked the entire court room like a superstar from police officers to judge. My case was dismissed right away. Hiring Mr Hughes worth every penny; I was so happy that I chose him.

This Lawyer made me wire him $5000 and he did nothing but send a fax to a judge. It ended up being the wrong document. He then disappeared, not answering anyones calls. He completely scammed us. He will promise the world and deliver nothing. I wouldnt use this attorney for a parking ticket.

Do NOT! I repeat DO NOT use Evan Hughes as your lawyer. He only showed up to 2 of my court dates, BOTH times he was late. After the 2nd court date he stopped showing up and sent his assistant. He wont answer your phone calls, texts, or emails. You will not be important to him. He only cares about your money. Hiring Evan just made the worst moment of my life much worse. Avoid this crock at all costs.
