Outstanding care was provided for my hip replacement. Dr. Brown is who you want to do your surgery. He has the cool calm collected demeanor not only to handle the routine situations but more importantly the non routine situations. He is unflappable. You can count on him to respond appropriately with whatever challenge is presented.

I received hip replacement surgery through the Rothman Institute by Dr. Scot Brown. The entire experience was amazing. Dr. Brown did an outstanding job on my hip replacement. I had very little pain (only used Tylenol) during my recovery and very minor scaring from the incision. Its been a year since my surgery and I feel great with no restrictions. Hats off to Dr. Scot Brown and staff for an awesome job!

It was a pleasure to have Dr. Scot Brown provide care for my knees. Although it was my first visit with him, he took care and complete interest in how I was feeling, my level of pain and what steps are needed to get me better. I left there feeling like he genuinely cared. If I could give more stars, I most certainly would.

Dr. Brown and the entire team at Rothman are wonderful and very caring. They treat you as an individual and not just an injury or ailment. He takes his time and and explains each and every question you may have and gives you a treatment plan if necessary. So grateful that I found him as my surgeon!

Dr. Brown fixed a very serious condition of mine. If not for him, i wouldn’t be walking. I had To have a 2nd revision on my hip and he worked a miracle for me. He is an expert (and very nice to work with). I think he is one-of-a-kind and I’m very lucky to know him!

The most ARROGANT, SELF-CENTERED, UNPLEASANT orthopedic oncologist that does not care about anybody but HIMSELF! I have seen doctor Brown in Philadelphia office. Not only did he NOT explain what is happening to me, he assured me that he would call a conference of doctors to discuss my case to figure out what is going on. NEVER EVER followed up on his promise, never called. During my visit I felt belittled and insignificant. It felt that if he had a stage and microphone he would record himself and enjoyed his own performance too during that speech. I never heard from this liar again or from Rothman Institute for that matter. Its just a huge money making machine that could care less about its patients.

As always when you visit a new physician, there is some degree of anxiety. This doctor is quite calming, considering he is a surgeon! I appreciated his demeanor!Sincerely,Geraldine Diggins

Dr. Brown is a beam of hope in stormy conditions. A tumor destroyed my femoral neck during a year of hip issues, 6 months of unsuccessful PT, a botched ortho exam at a different practice and misdiagnosis by a different OO.Dr. Brown quickly and accurately suspected a rare disease which was later confirmed after a full hip replacement. Hes helped me remain active (I was a former distance runner). Finally, I recently asked Dr Brown for a shoulder referal. He looked at my images and found yet another tumor (early stage).Consider yourself lucky to be on Dr Browns radar :)

I was diagnosed with sarcoma in My left arm. It spread to my lymph nodes. On July 17 Dr Brown performed surgery and amputated my left arm. The care and concern Dr Brown, his resident Phil, and Samantha was exceptional. I was blessed to have the best surgeon to perform surgery and save my life. My cancer was rare and very agressive. Dr Brown wasted no time in diagnosing and treating the problem. From the first hello his bedside manner made both me and my wife very comfortable and confident in his ability. Five stars is not enough stars. Dr Brown is the best in his field.

He is the best! My mom got back walking even though she has dementia and is enjoying her independence now. He follows up on his patients really well and is very much involved on their progress. I can say he is the best out there. Thank you so much Dr. Brown, my 83 year old mom loves you!

In my less than satisfactary experience, he would not look at my ultrasound. He rushed both appointments and was uninterested in any of my past history. His lack of sympathy was disheartening. Hopefully he will spend more time with his other parents and is more considerate with them.

This was my first experience with Rothman Institute and Dr Scot Brown. I was referred to him after suffering with pain in a replaced hip for 6 months. After being misdiagnosed with an infection, Dr Brown correctly diagnosed my condition as metallosis and performed my revision surgery at Jefferson. From the beginning I was impressed with how Dr Brown and his associates took the time to explain everything. The knowledge and confidence he exuded helped ease anxiety about my condition and prospects for a successful surgery to relieve the pain and return to normal lifestyle. My surgery was August 14 and to date Im recovering better than expected - by me or the Dr. I drove 120 miles for this surgery and my follow up appointment. Well worth it.
