I took the one day course in 2018 and I have used the sizing concepts basically every writing session since then. It has really helped me organize my approach on how to teach and I can easily transition between different types of adapted paper. I would recommend this course especially to school based OTs.

As an occupational therapist who has worked with children for over 20 years, the SMHP is the most effective, user-friendly handwriting program Ive seen. Children learn to take charge of their handwriting by checking their size and spacing using images of spaghetti and meatballs. Its so simple, yet brilliant, because kids really get it! The tools and strategies taught during the SMHP workshop are evidence-based and make so much sense. You leave the course with everything you need to help children with handwriting issues. I highly recommend SMHP!!!

I LOVE the Size Matters Handwriting Program!!! I am an OTR/L who has been working in the schools for over 20 years with dozens of handwriting programs and this one is by far my favorite!!! It is very user friendly and my kids all understand it very well. I have kids who dread doing their handwriting now ask to work in their SMHP workbooks. They are very colorful and fun to work with. My hands-on kids love the spaghetti and meatball spaces! All of my kids love getting a star for their Star Worthy letters so much so that we have started using Star Worthy language in all aspects of OT and classroom work! We have Star worthy work, star worthy behavior, star worthy attention, star worthy math, etc. My young kids love the size magnets! They make it so much easier to show them what size the letters are. Size 1, 2, and 3 are so easy for them to understand when they can actually hold the size magnet. My preschoolers use the Pathways books, my older kids use the activity books, and all of my kids use the Letterbox worksheets as well as the number activity books. This handwriting program has it all and something for everyone!!! I cant tell you how many different ways I have used the program but thats a good start!

The response from students when I use this program is incredible! They love it! I had so many students return the following week and ask Can we do what we did last week? and they were talking about writing!! I highly recommend this program!

The Size Matters program is a great, user-friendly program to teach and remediate handwriting in a way that makes sense to all involved. The materials are less expensive than comparable programs, and the company has been great about supporting its customers in my experience. For example, during the Covid-19 pandemic, they sent me digital copies of their adapted handwriting paper free of charge to use with my students during distance learning.

I have had the pleasure of taking 2 workshops with Beverly Moskowitz, President and CEO of Real OT Solutions. I love the Size Matters Handwriting Program! I am a school-based OT, and I have taken the 3-part SMHP series. I use SMHP in my daily practice, and I recently introduced it to my nephew who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall. In one morning, he learned the letter sizes, and his handwriting improved!
