My real review would be about 2.5 stars. I feel like their process of the team approach works well for them to increase efficiencies and see more patients, but unfortunately the patient experience suffers greatly. It’s assembly line care for pregnant mothers and babies. You don’t know the care providers and they don’t know you. They introduce themselves not realizing you’ve already met. You’re unfortunately just a data entry for them. The care is good (I guess, I’m on my 2nd baby but both have been with them). Some of the staff rush through appts, some miss notes from previous staff so they don’t follow up on things they are supposed to. If you’re looking for personalized care, this isn’t the practice for you. This is more of a fast paced, get you in and out, show up at the hospital and someone you’ve never met will be there to deliver the baby.Suggestions to Practice:- Try repeat provider scheduling when possible or honestly get a consultant to review your current processes, it’s not working for your patients and therefore costing you initial and/or repeat business.- Include a list of what to/not to eat when after confirming pregnancy.- Provide a direct # to the office, it shouldn’t be that hard to reach you all. (You seem to route these calls through a call center, again great for you, but not for your patients that actually need to reach you)- Survey patients after each appt, you might learn a lot.

Horrible experience bad attitudes from staff and always given new doctors every visit. I had no idea who was even supposed to deliver my baby. Good luck 🍀

Everyone has been kind and they work very hard there to ensure good care. They probably have way too many patients in one day as hospitals are a business. My preferred name and pronouns have been used and that’s important to me.

The front desk is the worst customer service I’ve EVER come across! A few are very unprofessional and will gossip about clients. Maybe there should be some diversity. The pregnant lady at the front is the WORST. Beware!!

I would rate them into NEGATIVE if there is such thing. I agree with every reviewer here who had trouble with front staff to billing to doctors. I was pregnant with twins, everything was fine in my first visit where I saw dr. Shorter, she was extremely polite but then she asked me to make appointment here at market street. I made appointment with DR. Clement, by far the worse service I could receive I did. It was my first normal visit with CLEMENT and she was extremely slow, taking her time with other patient. When it came time to see me she rushed me, started giving me information where she’s was all over the place! Then she takes me to examine room, run ultra sound on me..and here she drops the bomb.. “ while suddnely taking US wand out, okay let’s discuss miscarriage, u cant carry this on! I mean what in the world u talking about... she being pregnant I thought she would understand but NO she was extremely iMpolite and deliver the worst news of my life in most painful way.. after that I had multiple visits there and I tell you UPENN CHARGED ME FOR SERVICES THAT I CANT RECALL... I am to date still fighting some bills... their billing department is so uneducated.. DONT BOOK DR CLEMENT, I initially went to her due to her high ratings but got the worst experience from her. She does not listen, dismisses what you have to say, worst doctor I have ever seen.

Horrible scheduling, they put you on teams blue, red etc..supposedly to lower your stress and you will meet the person who will deliver your baby. When it got down to the last 4 weeks found out the incompetents at the front desk had been scheduling for the wrong team. When upset expressed about situation instead of apologizing and rectifying situation, administrator/desk persons became challenging. And defensive. As patient left the administrators laughed loudly and mockingly. Totally unprofessional, especially with the stress of being pregnant during covid epidemic. This is written by mother of patient who had to listen to daughter cry. Shame on you! Get some new front desk people! You can only wonder what the doctors are like if they allow this nonsense to go on. Maybe they dont pay their front desk people enough and get this quality of employee, or maybe they dont train them? But really!

Dr. Michael Kinson completed my surgery and he was amazing, patient and thoughtful throughout thoe whole process, from the moment I met him at my pre-op appointment. He came to see me right before surgery and helped me feel more comfortable. He showed true care for me as a patient and person and was so professional. He did a great job.

I cant say enough good things about this place. Theyve been with me through two high-risk pregnancies and have provided excellent care every step of the way. I had to visit the office 3 times a week for monitoring and they treated me so well every time I was there. The medical staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The reception team is professional and kind.If youre having a baby, go here. Parking is terrible, but its completely worth the frustration to know you and your precious little one are in such good hands.

I get all my medical care at Penn. I worked for Penn 13 yrs ago before I became disabled. I usually have nothing but good experiences with this hospital, that is until I went to this practice. I had an appt today (10/6/2020) to see a Dr because I lose so much blood that my iron levels drop dangerously low. I had to get blood transfusions. I have difficulty walking w/o assistance, I suffer from severe anxiety, Fibro fog and I have issues w concentration and memory so I told them I wanted my husband in the room me to discuss my options and they wouldn’t allow it. They DID NOT take my mental issues seriously and had no empathy. I WILL NOT return to this practice. I will most likely go to another practice or Jefferson to get my GYN exams. I’m so disappointed in the way they handled my situation. I cried all the way home.

Ive always had good experiences here. The doctors, midwives, and nurses are sensitive to my concerns and always seem to care about my wellbeing. Im surprised at the other reviews saying they got rude service because I never have. I like this place a lot and trusted it with the prenatal care of my daughter and her delivery. I still go here for routine and not-so-routine procedures. Would recommend.

I have been a patient for about 6 years. The main doctor I have dealt with is Dr. Katsnelson but have also seen some others over the years when needed. The office and staff has always been amazing when I have called with any potential problems. Dr. Katsnelson has helped me navigate a lot of changes with my body. She’s helped guide me though menopause post cancer treatment as a young adult, to trying to conceive after finishing hormonal treatment, and everything in between. I have always appreciated having doctors I can have an open dialogue with about how I am feeling and where I am at in life, I have always been able to do that with her without fear of judgement. The nurses have always been very kind and courteous and have always taken the time to answer my slew of questions when I have called or messaged with them.

Do not go to Penn Medicine. This was by far the worst experience Ive had with a business, since moving to Philadelphia. After successfully finding a trustworthy dentist, hair dresser, and mechanic, I never thought what I would have to worry about was trusting a doctor.I went in specifically stating multiple times that I did not want to do anything outside of preventive care, and after having my doctor confirm we would not, I went home feeling good. Routine checkups, billed under preventive care, are covered 100% under most insurance policies.I was then billed multiple times, adding up to nearly $1,000, after insurance was applied.I called to inquire several times over a 2 week period, and was continually transferred to different areas of the business that could not give any help. A majority of the people that I spoke to were extremely rude. They could not even get me in contact with my doctor. I emailed my doctor, and got no reply. I eventually had to pay the amount billed, because the due date approached before any answers were given.I, personally, will never go back to this medical group. I found them completely unprofessional.

NEVER attend this practice UNLESS you want to wait more than 30-45min for a 15min exam.....Their charting is off; you MUST CHECK YOUR RECORDS behind them. The front office girl is VERY GHETTO!!!!! Only signed for Dr. Carla Albright, they lore you in BUT I NEVER GOT TO SEE HET!!!!! I transferred my care; I SUGGEST YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR AN OB.

I love this practice. All of the doctors were very professional concerning my particular situation. They treated me with care and showed great compassion during the loss of pregnancies and a stillbirth. With their help and expertise, I had two healthy beautiful baby boys Michael and Myles. I am forever greatful for this practice and their entire medical staff. I highly recommend this team/family of medical professionals ❤️

Good doctors but always a bad experience. I’ve been seen more than an hour late every time I have an appointment. It is incredibly disrespectful to patients to constantly be running late and never warning anyone. If I have to leave work to make an appointment, I shouldn’t be sitting in a waiting room for over an hour with no explanation or apology. Not worth the hassle to continue going here.

The doctors and the medical care they provide are excellent and Penn is a great system in which to have care - their EMR is seamless between specialties. HOWEVER, and this is a big HOWEVER, it is essentially IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment for a routine annual visit, even as a returning patient. You CANNOT get an appointment by calling. They put you on a return call list and say that THEY will call YOU when your providers schedule is released and open for booking, usually a few months in advance. The problem obviously is that most of us are not glued to our phones and our calendars all day every day, and you may miss their all-important call. If you wait even a day to call back, the appointment slot for which they called you will be gone and you are placed back on their return call list. HORRIBLE scheduling system, absolutely atrocious. If I did not like the doctor I see so much, I would absolutely leave and find a practice where I can call them at my convenience (after all, I AM the patient) and get an appointment, no matter if it is 6 months out. I would never recommend that a new patient to come to this practice - find somewhere where you can schedule with ease.

While physicians are knowledgeable, this practice has the rudest, most incompetent staff. Anytime I try to call with a medical problem, I am not helped and when I ask how to make a complaint, I am not given any contact info to do so (which I have discovered is against government and state licensing).

The doctors are great very knowledgable. I dont care about rude staff as long as I get treated by competent physicians which has always been the case. I dont compare doctors offices to other appointment or consumer-based services because it is not, but if the doctors are competent ..thats all that matters

I found out I miscarried at 11 weeks. The doctor was very unsympathetic. In the same breath she told me there was no heartbeat she wanted to discus options. Penn performs their d&c procedures awake, be aware. We wanted genetic testing so we opted for the d&c only for that reason and the doctor “mis-handled” our pregnancy tissue preventing us from ever having genetic testing. This week I would have been 20 weeks. This practice continues to call me about previously scheduled OB apts, Including my 20 wk us. I have asked numerous times to have my apts removed. I have nightmares about this practice, please go

I hate going here!!! I have not had one doctor dedicated to my needs. Ask them twice to fill out FMLA paper work for me and the filled it out wrong twice which means wasted time to park my car at a meter and walking there to drop and pick it up! I wish I never chose to go here. This is my first pregnancy and anytime I felt like I hada concern no one listens. Do yourself a favor and go else where!
