I just want to say that Elizabeth Wray has been the best mental health provider I have ever had. I recently switched providers after a friend (one of her current patients) referred me to her. She also said many nice things about Elizabeth and the practice. Elizabeth took time to listen to my symptoms and showed compassion for my needs. I couldn’t be more grateful to have found such an all-around great provider. I Definitely recommend Elizabeth!

As a psychotherapist who has collaborated professionally with Dr. Bu, I highly recommend her services. She provides excellent, responsive, and compassionate care to my clients who deal with a wide range of issues. My clients have reported that Dr. Bu is an attentive listener as well as a kind, consistent, reassuring, and knowledgeable practitioner. I have been impressed with Dr. Bu’s highly individualized and dedicated approach to psychiatric care.

The NP that I saw was uneducated, cold and did not listen to me as the patient. I decided to go out of network hoping I would find someone more educated and knowledgeable about medication management, instead I paid $275 for the quality of care I could find through an in network provider. Extremely disappointed.

I’m posting under a different name (totally made up) for my own privacy, just as an FYI to the practice. As a patient who has been to many Psychiatric practices and under the care of various mental healthcare professionals before, my review has nothing to do with the personality of the CRNP I met with virtually or the staff- In fact, scheduling was super easy and I was pleased with the process. EW was actually very friendly, however , my concerns lie with the ethics and approach of her work or maybe the practice itself.Patients should be listened to and medication should NEVER be the go to resort and immediate expected method of treatment. 95% of my session was about the medication which was told I needed it within 10 mins of my session. She didn’t SEEM to care much about my history,‘specific events or provide me with any other coping mechanisms to deal with my condition. The Nurse Practitioner seemed more like a Sales Rep. for Big Pharma then someone who is patient focused. So my question to the practice is: Are you here to provide patient’s with a strategy tailored to the individual’s needs, which MAY (for some) include medication or are you just here to sell meds to people who may not need them? If not, perhaps you better have a chat with Miss W. and ask her to provide alternatives that just say “you’re anxious, I got the product for you!”.Perhaps she should become lobbyist? She would do well. I would know, I’m a local politician.

I had a great experience working with Dr. Hanley to receive an ADHD diagnosis! He was very kind and responsive and had a warm affect even over video chat. He provided me with the resources after my diagnosis and a path to move forward. The fee was $500 which I felt was fair, especially because getting into other practices proved difficult. Very grateful that I was able to get a diagnosis quickly!

Very disappointed with Pagani. Tried to schedule an appointment for my young son who suffers from severe, unbearable chronic back pain which has caused severe depression and anxiety...all the doctors hes seen cant help him. As a result he is having thoughts of suicide This is the excuse as to why they refuse to see him! Why are you in this practice then? To help those who are well? Anyone can get wonderful ratings by helping those who are the easy cases. Youre supposed to be a top psychiatrist yet wont treat anyone who truely needs it, only the easy cases. Why cant you see people and if they need hospitalization THEN refer them out? Telling me to go to Jefferson because they have a hospital is bogus. Thats just a lame excuse as we are from S. Jersey anyway and most people go to Philly doctors from Jersey. The truth is you have a nice lucrative practice going on and youre going to just take it easy. The prices you charge are ridiculously high and desperate people like me need to take out a second mortgage just to be seen! You dont even take insurance. And Im supposed to believe youre not an elitist shrink catering just to the well to do? Thats the real reason you refuse to see my son. You just dont care. You care about money.

Never Again. I tried this place as everywhere that is in my network has a extremely long waiting list for evaluations. Setting an appointment was fairly easy, everything else was a cash ridden nightmare. My eval appointment was a zoom meeting in which I was overtalked the WHOLE time. I was given a rx during the appointment and tol how bad my current meds are making my symptoms worse, and even may cause seizures. (What a great thing to tell someone who already had TERRIBLE anxiety disorder. ) I felt that the new rx rittenhouse would give would help my ADHD, nope... My appointment ended with me getting a new rx and pushed to try to switch doctors from my pcp. 2 days later i picked up the rx from my local drugstore and went back to Rittenhouses patient portal to review the dr.s instructions, and to my surprise, the note section was empty. I messaged in to ask for it, only to be told I had to pay $25, after Id already paid for a $300 zoom call! So I paid for the drs notes , only to be told by my med advocate that theyre insufficient as they only list the things I said, no actual evaluation results! go figure! I then made the office aware that I was back to work and couldnt keep my appointment, well before the 48 hour cutoff, only to be charged $125 for a missed appointment. Everything costs with this place, and I never once felt like the provider cared or was intrested in anything other than money, no check ins or even followup from office to see if I had questions about anything. One thing they will do faithfully.... take your money. I Will NOT be returning, giant waste of time, effort and money.

Very grateful for Dr. Milburn at Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates. Liz has always been very easy to get in contact with and has gone out of their way to assist me with issues surrounding pharmacies, documentation, prescriptions, scheduling, and payment. She is personable and professional. It is often very difficult for members of the LGBTQ+ community to find respectful and helpful medical providers, especially those who are seeking mental health treatment, but Liz Milburn has been an extremely positive presence throughout my gender transition.

I had the good fortune to find Dr. P and his practice when I was looking for a physician in the Philly area.I first called and spoke with Amy, the office manager and she was so kind and was able to get me in for my first appt in a short period of time. You can definitely feel at ease calling here as they are easy to talk to and helpful.Overall, I credit Dr. P. for helping me to feel so much better and going to him has really been life changing. As a dr. he is clearly super intelligent and bright, but also as important, he has a warm and calm demeanor that makes him really easy to talk to. I can’t recommend him more highly based on my own experience. I have already personally recommended Dr. P. to someone I know and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

Do not even bother calling this practice if you have recently been hospitalized for depression. They will not take you on as a patient, and are only interested in treating the “worried well” so to speak. A lot of patients are having a hard time finding a psychiatrist sooner than a 2 month window due to the pandemic, which causes some to be hospitalized as it is the only way to quickly get help. Very disappointing that this psychiatric practice will not treat a patient who has been hospitalized.

His work with my family member has enabled not only recovery from alcoholism but a transformation in attitude and approach to life that has been nothing less than spectacular. I can not emphasize enough the careful and compassionate treatment Dr. Pagnani that has so much benefited my family. His thoughtful approach to a dual diagnosis that was causing my family member and family so much pain and heartache has dramatically improved not only the patient’s ability to cope with life, but strengthened our family relationships with one another. Indeed I anticipate my family member will graduate from college this spring and enjoy so much of life that was once beyond reach.

I have been seeing Dr. P for nigh five years now. Amongst others and other events, Dr. P is a substantial reason Im still alive and healthy. During our phone and in-person meetings, Ive never felt like Dr. P was preoccupied, irritated or disappointed when I was at my lowest. His patience is immense, and despite a rockstar intellect he doesnt belittle or mhm his patients. When speaking with him it is obvious that he is only looking at, and listening to, you. Hes not editing his mental grocery list or wondering about weekend plans. He is and has been worth the money, two hour one-way trip, and most importantly the results. In the last few years my life has gone from a redundant horrorshow to a life I want to get up everyday and live. I will be seeing him intermittently as long as I need/as long as he deems it necessary--no one else.I am unable to comment on his other associates as they werent around when I started seeing him.

I would like to issue a review regarding the services rendered to me by Dr. Chris Pagnani through Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates.I began my journey 5 years ago, entering the office broken but desperate to feel whole. As cliche as that may sound, I knew I had potential - I was just unable to see beyond the hole I dug for myself. I was spiraling but a brief moment of clarity led me to seek help. From the first day I walked in, Dr. Pagnani listened as I shared any shame and regrets hidden deep within myself, he allowed me to speak about my short-comings without judgement. When I came to him - my decisions had led me to such a dark place, I didnt know where to begin placing the pieces of me back together. I made a commitment to him of sobriety and self responsibility, in turn he gave me the guidance and tools to live in a healthy way I could be proud of. He returned the power of self control back into my hands. Staff always treats me with respect and dignity. I look back at the start of my journey - seeing myself then and now, the feeling is indescribable. Treatment isnt some magical potion that will make it all better over night, I can not stress that enough. I just know I wouldnt have been successful without this medical support team to rely on along the way. Thanks guys (and ladies :))

After being a patient there for 6 years, I have also recommended 2 additional loved ones to his practice. Are three of us have been more than impressed with the treatment we received. Dr. Pagnanis staff and associates are top notch. Finding such a reliable operation should not be such an anomaly, but in my personal experience, it has been. Dr. Pagnani is the best Psychiatrist I have ever seen. That is saying quite a lot, as I have had a plethora of experiences over the years with many different providers.Dr. Pagnani is a top expert, not only in the regional Philadelphia region, but nationwide. If you want the best, you go to him.An experienced, extremely knowledgeable physician, who is also easy to get along with and talk to, is who you want to see if you have psychiatric needs. I cannot overstate the positive outcomes of my interactions with Dr. Pagnani. I am still in shock at the intricacy, accuracy and efficiency of the work he has done for/with me. He is extremely proficient at what he does. The outcome and results are what I am most thrilled about, of course. As I have several other longstanding issues I’ve been putting off, he also took the time to explain that our visits will incorporate a myriad of approaches. He collects data and extra information to not only secure a solid diagnosis up front but, equally importantly, formulates a long-term game plan that looks at all of my issues in tandem and not just as isolated issues. While working directly with me, he utilized the bottom up approach, meaning he gathers all the information necessary to then move forward with a logical and sound treatment plan for the whole person. I know all this as Dr. Pagnani takes the time to not only explain his steps but also includes logic behind such.I will forever be grateful for the kindness displayed by Dr. Pagnani and his entire staff; they are all absolutely wonderful, welcoming, and professional. I highly recommend him and his office to anyone seeking the best, exclusive and top-notch care in the greater Philadelphia area.

[Update] Dr Pagnani gave me a call after posting my original comment to discuss my situation. He offered me a refund for my visit and said he would have a discussion with the different members of his staff about my experience. I appreciate his sincerity and willingness to discuss my concerns.[Original]Had a poor experience with one of their psychiatrists in the first meeting. I showed up on-time, but was left waiting in the room for 5-10 minutes past the appointment time. I had to take the initiative to search out the persons office and ask around. Once in their office I was not greeted at all, no real hello or welcome or hand shake (pre-COVID times). The individual went back to work on whatever else they were doing before turning their attention to me after another couple minutes.Went through the eval which felt like it was scripted to be the quickest eval it could be without much depth. I was told that I was not a good candidate for their services and that was it. A rather expensive experience. I had sent an email directly to the individual expressing my concern with the service after the fact and never got a response from them either, so here I am posting to the internet. Screaming into the void.

Elizabeth is rude and cold. I am not sure how someone would feel comfortable talking to her. I had an appointment scheduled today and was 30 minutes late to my appointment The weather is awful. I waited a few weeks for my appointment. I apologized and she explained we only had 30 mintues left but handed me a stack of paperwork to fill out. When that was complete she offered to speak with me for 10 minutes. i asked for some time later in the day considering I just paid parking, walked 10 blocks in the icy rain, and explained my reason for there and the concerns I had for myself. She told me the next appointment available was in few weeks. Do you want to help people or not? Extending a few minutes later in the day was too much to ask??

If you already are receiving cognitive therapy (counseling) through a therapist outside of Philadelphia Health Services and need to treat with a Psychiatrist or Mental Health NP for diagnosis/medication, etc., I highly recommend Jessica Plocher, NP. This office is willing to work with your private therapist or counselor and does not make you see their own therapist which is hard to find. During my 1st initial consultation, Ms. Plocher already had spoken with my therapist and had some information regarding my visit. It was very in depth and a diagnosis was able to be made and treatment rendered. Never once did I feel judged and always felt heard and understood which is not always common in mental health. She is exceptionally bright and very well educated within the mental health field and cares about her patients. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely continue working with her.
