This doctor has been teaming up with insurance companies since at least 2009 to get super-rich insurance companies off the hook for paying cancer patients the disability benefits they deserve. Its pretty disturbing. Recommend researching him before you choose him to be your treating physician.

My mom started out with a sore throat and after several different doctors at university of penn and was not satisfied with their approach and demeanor we were recommended to dr Hartner. I have no regrets seeing this doctor and know that my mom is receiving top of the line care. The staff at Washington square is awesome as well. You will not be disappointed.Update05/22/19 hands down thee BEST oncologist around! He is very knowledgeable and one of the best in his field. He is Not thorough. Conducted a hematology report for my long term disability insurance claim which consisted of many false statements. Needless to say my appeal was denied because of these inconsistencies. I agree with the above statement that he works with the insurance companies for their benefit to deny claims.
