Not the oncologist for a stage IV patient. Though he is very smart, he refuses to think outside of the realm of standard of care, and is often times very rushed and apathetic. When he called to give me his condolences on my dads passing, he started with: I knew this was going to be a train wreck from the start. I understand that our outcome would not have been different with another oncologist, but a little bit of hope and empathy make a huge difference for the patient and their family....

For the next family that needs advice what ever he recondmented did not work.Also when it was time to speaks to the family he sends an advisor relief him of duty .when ask him what he did for my mom he said I gave her chemo.
